Exodus

Chapter 10

1 AND the LORD said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh; for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his servants, that I may perform these signs among them,

2 That you may relate in the presence of your son and of your son's son the things which I have done to the Egyptians and the signs which I have performed among them, that you may know that I am the LORD.

3 And Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and said to him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to fear me? Let my people go that they may serve me.

4 Else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts upon all Four domain;

5 And they shall cover the face of the land so that men cannot see the ground; and they shall eat the residue of that which is left to you from the hail and shall eat all the trees which have budded for you in the field;

6 And they shall fill your houses and the houses of your servants and the houses of all the Egyptians such as neither your fathers nor your grand fathers have seen, from the day that they were upon the earth even to this day. And they turned, and went out from the presence of Pharaoh.

7 And Pharaoh's servants said to him, How long shall we suffer this disaster? Let the men go that they may serve the LORD their God; do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?

8 So Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh; and he said to them, Go, serve before the LORD your God; but who are they that are going?

9 And Moses said to him, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters; with our flocks and with our herds will we go, for it is a festival of the LORD for all of us.

10 And Pharaoh said to them, Let the LORD be with you, but when I let you and your little ones go, look to it; perhaps you have evil intent.

11 Let it not be so; go now, the older men, and serve before the LORD; for it is the rest that you desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

12 And the LORD said to Moses, Lift up your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt and eat the herbs of the land, even all that the hail has left.

13 And Moses lifted up his staff over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt and rested in all the domain of the Egyptians; it was a great swarm; before them there were no such swarms of locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

15 For they covered the face of the whole earth so that the land was darkened; and they did eat all the herbs of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left; and there remained no leaf on the trees neither grass in the field, through al the land of Egypt.

16 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said to them, I have sinned against the LORD your God and against you.

17 Now therefore, forgive me my fault this time also, and pray before the LORD your God that he may re move from me this death.

18 And Moses went out from the presence of Pharaoh and prayed be fore the LORD.

19 And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts and cast them into the Red Sea; there remained not one locust in all the domain of Egypt.

20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

21 Then the LORD said to Moses, Lift up your hand toward the heaven that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even thick darkness.

22 And Moses lifted up his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days;

23 They did not see one another, nor rose any from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

24 And Pharaoh called to Moses and said to him, Go, serve before the LORD your God; only let your flocks and herds remain here; let your little ones also go with you.

25 Then Moses said to Pharaoh. You must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

26 Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve before the LORD our God; and we do not know what else we must offer to the LORD until we come there.

27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart and he would not let them go.

28 And Pharaoh said to Moses. Get away from here, take heed to yourself, do not try to see my face again,

29 And Moses said, You have spoken well, I will not try to see your face any more.

Chapter 10

1 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Go935 in to Pharaoh:6547 for I have hardened3513 his heart,3820 and the heart3820 of his servants,5650 that I might show7896 these428 my signs226 before7130 him:

2 And that you may tell5608 in the ears241 of your son,1121 and of your son's1121 son,1121 what853 834 things I have worked5953 in Egypt,4714 and my signs226 which834 I have done7760 among them; that you may know3045 how that I am the LORD.3068

3 And Moses4872 and Aaron175 came935 in to Pharaoh,6547 and said559 to him, Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 God430 of the Hebrews,5680 How5704 long4970 will you refuse3985 to humble6031 yourself before6440 me? let my people5971 go,7971 that they may serve5647 me.

4 Else,3588 if518 you refuse3986 to let my people5971 go,7971 behold,2005 to morrow4279 will I bring935 the locusts697 into your coast:1366

5 And they shall cover3680 the face5869 of the earth,776 that one cannot3808 be able3201 to see7200 the earth:776 and they shall eat398 the residue3499 of that which is escaped,6413 which remains7604 to you from the hail,1259 and shall eat398 every3605 tree6086 which grows6779 for you out of the field:7704

6 And they shall fill4390 your houses,1004 and the houses1004 of all3605 your servants,5650 and the houses1004 of all3605 the Egyptians;4714 which834 neither3808 your fathers,1 nor3808 your fathers'1 fathers1 have seen,7200 since4480 the day3117 that they were on the earth127 to this2088 day.3117 And he turned6437 himself, and went3318 out from Pharaoh.6547

7 And Pharaoh's6547 servants5650 said559 to him, How4970 long5704 shall this2088 man be a snare4170 to us? let the men582 go,7971 that they may serve5647 the LORD3068 their God:430 know3045 you not yet2962 that Egypt4714 is destroyed?6

8 And Moses4872 and Aaron175 were brought7725 again7725 to Pharaoh:6547 and he said559 to them, Go,3212 serve5647 the LORD3068 your God:430 but who4310 are they that shall go?1980

9 And Moses4872 said,559 We will go3212 with our young5288 and with our old,2205 with our sons1121 and with our daughters,1323 with our flocks6629 and with our herds1241 will we go;3212 for we must hold a feast2282 to the LORD.3068

10 And he said559 to them, Let the LORD3068 be so3651 with you, as I will let you go,7971 and your little2945 ones: look7200 to it; for evil7451 is before6440 you.

11 Not so:3651 go3212 now4994 you that are men,1397 and serve5647 the LORD;3068 for that you did desire.1245 And they were driven1644 out from Pharaoh's6547 presence.5869

12 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Stretch5186 out your hand3027 over5921 the land776 of Egypt4714 for the locusts,697 that they may come5927 up on the land776 of Egypt,4714 and eat398 every3605 herb6212 of the land,776 even853 all3605 that the hail1259 has left.7604

13 And Moses4872 stretched5186 forth his rod4294 over5921 the land776 of Egypt,4714 and the LORD3068 brought5090 an east6921 wind7307 on the land776 all3605 that day,3117 and all3605 that night;3915 and when it was morning,1242 the east6921 wind7307 brought5375 the locusts.697

14 And the locusts697 went5927 up over5921 all3605 the land776 of Egypt,4714 and rested5117 in all3605 the coasts1366 of Egypt:4714 very3966 grievous3515 were they; before6440 them there were no3808 such3651 locusts697 as they, neither3808 after310 them shall be such.

15 For they covered3680 the face5869 of the whole3605 earth,776 so that the land776 was darkened;2821 and they did eat398 every3605 herb6212 of the land,776 and all3605 the fruit6529 of the trees6086 which834 the hail1259 had left:3498 and there remained3498 not any3605 green3418 thing in the trees,6086 or in the herbs6212 of the field,7704 through all3605 the land776 of Egypt.4714

16 Then Pharaoh6547 called7121 for Moses4872 and Aaron175 in haste;4116 and he said,559 I have sinned2398 against the LORD3068 your God,430 and against you.

17 Now6258 therefore forgive,5375 I pray4994 you, my sin2403 only389 this once,6471 and entreat6279 the LORD3068 your God,430 that he may take5493 away from me this2088 death4194 only.7535

18 And he went3318 out from Pharaoh,6547 and entreated6279 the LORD.3068

19 And the LORD3068 turned2015 a mighty3966 strong2389 west3220 wind,7307 which took5375 away the locusts,697 and cast8628 them into the Red5488 sea;3220 there remained7604 not one259 locust697 in all3605 the coasts1366 of Egypt.4714

20 But the LORD3068 hardened2388 Pharaoh's6547 heart,3820 so that he would not let the children1121 of Israel3478 go.7971

21 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Stretch5186 out your hand3027 toward5921 heaven,8064 that there may be darkness2822 over5921 the land776 of Egypt,4714 even darkness2822 which may be felt.4959

22 And Moses4872 stretched5186 forth his hand3027 toward5921 heaven;8064 and there was a thick653 darkness2822 in all3605 the land776 of Egypt4714 three7969 days:3117

23 They saw7200 not one376 another,251 neither3808 rose6965 any376 from his place8478 for three7969 days:3117 but all3605 the children1121 of Israel3478 had1961 light216 in their dwellings.4186

24 And Pharaoh6547 called7121 to Moses,4872 and said,559 Go3212 you, serve5647 the LORD;3068 only7535 let your flocks6629 and your herds1241 be stayed:3322 let your little2945 ones also1571 go3212 with you.

25 And Moses4872 said,559 You must give5414 us also1571 sacrifices2077 and burnt5930 offerings, that we may sacrifice2077 to the LORD3068 our God.430

26 Our cattle4735 also1571 shall go3212 with us; there shall not an hoof6541 be left7604 behind; for thereof must we take3947 to serve5647 the LORD3068 our God;430 and we know3045 not with what4100 we must serve5647 the LORD,3068 until5704 we come935 thither.8033

27 But the LORD3068 hardened2388 Pharaoh's6547 heart,3820 and he would14 not let them go.7971

28 And Pharaoh6547 said559 to him, Get3212 you from me, take3947 heed8104 to yourself, see7200 my face6440 no3808 more;3254 for in that day3117 you see7200 my face6440 you shall die.4191

29 And Moses4872 said,559 You have spoken1696 well,3651 I will see7200 your face6440 again3254 no3808 more.5750

7 And Pharaoh's servants said to him, How long shall we suffer this disaster? Let the men go that they may serve the LORD their God; do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?

7 And Pharaoh's6547 servants5650 said559 to him, How4970 long5704 shall this2088 man be a snare4170 to us? let the men582 go,7971 that they may serve5647 the LORD3068 their God:430 know3045 you not yet2962 that Egypt4714 is destroyed?6

8 So Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh; and he said to them, Go, serve before the LORD your God; but who are they that are going?

8 And Moses4872 and Aaron175 were brought7725 again7725 to Pharaoh:6547 and he said559 to them, Go,3212 serve5647 the LORD3068 your God:430 but who4310 are they that shall go?1980

12 And the LORD said to Moses, Lift up your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt and eat the herbs of the land, even all that the hail has left.

13 And Moses lifted up his staff over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

16 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said to them, I have sinned against the LORD your God and against you.

16 Then Pharaoh6547 called7121 for Moses4872 and Aaron175 in haste;4116 and he said,559 I have sinned2398 against the LORD3068 your God,430 and against you.

17 Now therefore, forgive me my fault this time also, and pray before the LORD your God that he may re move from me this death.

17 Now6258 therefore forgive,5375 I pray4994 you, my sin2403 only389 this once,6471 and entreat6279 the LORD3068 your God,430 that he may take5493 away from me this2088 death4194 only.7535

18 And Moses went out from the presence of Pharaoh and prayed be fore the LORD.

18 And he went3318 out from Pharaoh,6547 and entreated6279 the LORD.3068

19 And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts and cast them into the Red Sea; there remained not one locust in all the domain of Egypt.

20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

20 But the LORD3068 hardened2388 Pharaoh's6547 heart,3820 so that he would not let the children1121 of Israel3478 go.7971

21 Then the LORD said to Moses, Lift up your hand toward the heaven that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even thick darkness.

21 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Stretch5186 out your hand3027 toward5921 heaven,8064 that there may be darkness2822 over5921 the land776 of Egypt,4714 even darkness2822 which may be felt.4959

22 And Moses lifted up his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days;

23 They did not see one another, nor rose any from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

23 They saw7200 not one376 another,251 neither3808 rose6965 any376 from his place8478 for three7969 days:3117 but all3605 the children1121 of Israel3478 had1961 light216 in their dwellings.4186

24 And Pharaoh called to Moses and said to him, Go, serve before the LORD your God; only let your flocks and herds remain here; let your little ones also go with you.

24 And Pharaoh6547 called7121 to Moses,4872 and said,559 Go3212 you, serve5647 the LORD;3068 only7535 let your flocks6629 and your herds1241 be stayed:3322 let your little2945 ones also1571 go3212 with you.

25 Then Moses said to Pharaoh. You must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

25 And Moses4872 said,559 You must give5414 us also1571 sacrifices2077 and burnt5930 offerings, that we may sacrifice2077 to the LORD3068 our God.430

26 Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve before the LORD our God; and we do not know what else we must offer to the LORD until we come there.

27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart and he would not let them go.

27 But the LORD3068 hardened2388 Pharaoh's6547 heart,3820 and he would14 not let them go.7971

28 And Pharaoh said to Moses. Get away from here, take heed to yourself, do not try to see my face again,

28 And Pharaoh6547 said559 to him, Get3212 you from me, take3947 heed8104 to yourself, see7200 my face6440 no3808 more;3254 for in that day3117 you see7200 my face6440 you shall die.4191

29 And Moses said, You have spoken well, I will not try to see your face any more.

29 And Moses4872 said,559 You have spoken1696 well,3651 I will see7200 your face6440 again3254 no3808 more.5750
