3 And so it was,1961 when518 Israel3478 had sown,2232 that the Midianites4080 came up,5927 and the Amalekites,6003 and the children1121 of the east,6924 even they came up5927 against5921 them;
4 And they encamped2583 against5921 them, and destroyed7843853 the increase2981 of the earth,776 till5704 thou come935 unto Gaza,5804 and left7604 no3808 sustenance4241 for Israel,3478 neither sheep,7716 nor ox,7794 nor ass.2543
5 For3588 they1992 came up5927 with their cattle4735 and their tents,168 and they came935 as1992 grasshoppers697 for multitude;7230for both they1992 and their camels1581 were without369 number:4557 and they entered935 into the land776 to destroy7843 it.
6 And Israel3478 was greatly3966 impoverished1809 because44806440 of the Midianites;4080 and the children1121 of Israel3478 cried2199 unto413 the LORD.3068
7 And it came to pass,1961 when3588 the children1121 of Israel3478 cried2199 unto413 the LORD3068 because of5921182 the Midianites,4080
8 That the LORD3068 sent7971 a prophet5030 unto413 the children1121 of Israel,3478 which said559 unto them, Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 I595 brought you up5927853 from Egypt,44804714 and brought you forth3318853 out of the house44801004 of bondage;5650

12 And the angel4397 of the LORD3068 appeared7200 unto413 him, and said559 unto413 him, The LORD3068is with5973 thee, thou mighty man1368 of valor.2428
13 And Gideon1439 said559 unto413 him, Oh994 my Lord,113 if the LORD3068 be3426 with5973 us, why4100 then is all3605 this2063 befallen4672 us? and where346be all3605 his miracles6381 which834 our fathers1 told5608 us of, saying,559 Did not3808 the LORD3068 bring us up5927 from Egypt?44804714 but now6258 the LORD3068 hath forsaken5203 us, and delivered5414 us into the hands3709 of the Midianites.4080
14 And the LORD3068 looked6437 upon413 him, and said,559 Go in1980 this2088 thy might,3581 and thou shalt save3467853 Israel3478 from the hand44803709 of the Midianites:4080 have not3808 I sent7971 thee?
15 And he said559 unto413 him, Oh994 my Lord,136 wherewith4100 shall I save3467853 Israel?3478 behold,2009 my family504is poor1800 in Manasseh,4519 and I595am the least6810 in my father's1 house.1004
16 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 him, Surely3588 I will be1961 with5973 thee, and thou shalt smite5221853 the Midianites4080 as one259 man.376
17 And he said559 unto413 him, If518 now4994 I have found4672 grace2580 in thy sight,5869 then show6213 me a sign226 that thou7945859 talkest1696 with5973 me.
18 Depart4185 not408 hence,44802088 I pray thee,4994 until5704 I come935 unto413 thee, and bring forth3318853 my present,4503 and set5117it before6440 thee. And he said,559 I595 will tarry3427 until5704 thou come again.7725
19 And Gideon1439 went in,935 and made ready6213 a kid,14235795 and unleavened cakes4682 of an ephah374 of flour:7058 the flesh1320 he put7760 in a basket,5536 and he put7760 the broth4839 in a pot,6517 and brought it out3318 unto413 him under4138478 the oak,424 and presented5066it.
20 And the angel4397 of God430 said559 unto413 him, Take3947853 the flesh1320 and the unleavened cakes,4682 and lay5117them upon413 this1975 rock,5553 and pour out8210 the broth.4839 And he did6213 so.3651

24 Then Gideon1439 built1129 an altar4196 there8033 unto the LORD,3068 and called7121 it Jehovah-shalom:3073 unto5704 this2088 day3117 it is yet5750 in Ophrah6084 of the Abi-ezrites.33
25 And it came to pass1961 the same1931 night,3915 that the LORD3068 said559 unto him, Take3947853 thy father's1 young bullock,64997794 even the second8145 bullock6499 of seven7651 years8141 old, and throw down2040853 the altar4196 of Baal1168 that834 thy father1 hath, and cut down3772 the grove842 that834is by5921 it:
26 And build1129 an altar4196 unto the LORD3068 thy God430 upon5921 the top7218 of this2088 rock,4581 in the ordered place,4634 and take3947853 the second8145 bullock,6499 and offer5927 a burnt sacrifice5930 with the wood6086 of the grove842 which834 thou shalt cut down.3772
27 Then Gideon1439 took3947 ten6235 men376 of his servants,44805650 and did6213 as834 the LORD3068 had said1696 unto413 him: and so it was,1961 because834 he feared3372853 his father's1 household,1004 and the men376 of the city,5892 that he could not do44806213it by day,3119 that he did6213it by night.3915
28 And when the men376 of the city5892 arose early7925 in the morning,1242 behold,2009 the altar4196 of Baal1168 was cast down,5422 and the grove842 was cut down3772 that834was by5921 it, and the second8145 bullock6499 was offered5927 upon5921 the altar4196that was built.1129

30 Then the men376 of the city5892 said559 unto413 Joash,3101 Bring out3318853 thy son,1121 that he may die:4191 because3588 he hath cast down5422853 the altar4196 of Baal,1168 and because3588 he hath cut down3772 the grove842 that834was by5921 it.
31 And Joash3101 said559 unto all3605 that834 stood5975 against5921 him, Will ye859 plead7378 for Baal?1168 will ye859 save3467 him? he that834 will plead7378 for him, let him be put to death4191 whilst5704it is yet morning:1242 if518 he1931be a god,430 let him plead7378 for himself, because3588one hath cast down5422853 his altar.4196
32 Therefore on that1931 day3117 he called7121 him Jerubbaal,3378 saying,559 Let Baal1168 plead7378 against him, because3588 he hath thrown down5422853 his altar.4196
33 Then all3605 the Midianites4080 and the Amalekites6003 and the children1121 of the east6924 were gathered622 together,3162 and went over,5674 and pitched2583 in the valley6010 of Jezreel.3157
34 But the Spirit7307 of the LORD3068 came upon3847853 Gideon,1439 and he blew8628 a trumpet;7782 and Abi-ezer44 was gathered2199 after310 him.
35 And he sent7971 messengers4397 throughout all3605 Manasseh;4519 who1931 also1571 was gathered2199 after310 him: and he sent7971 messengers4397 unto Asher,836 and unto Zebulun,2074 and unto Naphtali;5321 and they came up5927 to meet7125 them.
36 And Gideon1439 said559 unto413 God,430 If518 thou3426 wilt save3467853 Israel3478 by mine hand,3027 as834 thou hast said,1696
37 Behold,2009 I595 will put3322853 a fleece1492 of wool6785 in the floor;1637and if518 the dew2919 be1961 on5921 the fleece1492 only,905 and it be dry2721 upon5921 all3605 the earth776beside, then shall I know3045 that3588 thou wilt save3467853 Israel3478 by mine hand,3027 as834 thou hast said.1696
38 And it was1961 so:3651 for he rose up early7925 on the morrow,44804283 and thrust2115853 the fleece1492 together,2115 and wrung4680 the dew2919 out of4480 the fleece,1492 a bowl5602 full4392 of water.4325
39 And Gideon1439 said559 unto413 God,430 Let not408 thine anger639 be hot2734 against me and I will speak1696 but389 this once:6471 let me prove,5254 I pray thee,4994 but7535 this once6471 with the fleece;1492 let it now4994 be1961 dry2721 only905 upon413 the fleece,1492 and upon5921 all3605 the ground776 let there be1961 dew.2919

15 Гедеон сказал559 ему: Господи!136 как4100 спасу3467 я Израиля?3478 вот, и племя504505 мое в колене Манассиином4519 самое бедное,1800 и я в доме1004 отца1 моего младший.6810

19 Гедеон1439 пошел935 и приготовил6213 козленка57951423 и опресноков4682 из ефы374 муки;7058 мясо1320 положил7760 в корзину,5536 а похлебку4839 влил7760 в горшок6517 и принес3318 к Нему под дуб424 и предложил.5066
20 И сказал559 ему Ангел4397 Божий:430 возьми3947 мясо1320 и опресноки,4682 и положи3240 на сей1975 камень,5553 и вылей8210 похлебку.4839 Он так и сделал.6213
21 Ангел4397 Господень3068 простер7971 конец7097 жезла,4938 который был в руке3027 его, прикоснулся5060 к мясу1320 и опреснокам;4682 и вышел5927 огонь784 из камня6697 и поел398 мясо1320 и опресноки;4682 и Ангел4397 Господень3068 скрылся1980 от глаз5869 его.

23 Господь3068 сказал559 ему: мир7965 тебе, не бойся,3372 не умрешь.4191
24 И устроил1129 там Гедеон1439 жертвенник4196 Господу3068 и назвал7121 его: Иегова3073 Шалом.3073 Он еще до сего дня3117 в Офре6084 Авиезеровой.33
25 В ту ночь3915 сказал559 ему Господь:3068 возьми3947 тельца64997794 из стада отца1 твоего и другого8145 тельца6499 семилетнего,76518141 и разрушь2040 жертвенник4196 Ваала,1168 который у отца1 твоего, и сруби3772 священное842 дерево,842 которое при нем,
26 и поставь1129 жертвенник4196 Господу3068 Богу430 твоему, на вершине7218 скалы4581 сей, в порядке,4634 и возьми3947 второго8145 тельца6499 и принеси5927 во всесожжение5930 на дровах6086 дерева,842 которое срубишь.3772
27 Гедеон1439 взял3947 десять6235 человек582 из рабов5650 своих и сделал,6213 как говорил1696 ему Господь;3068 но как сделать6213 это днем3119 он боялся3372 домашних1004 отца1 своего и жителей582 города,5892 то сделал6213 ночью.3915
28 Поутру1242 встали7925 жители582 города,5892 и вот, жертвенник4196 Ваалов1168 разрушен,5422 и дерево842 при нем срублено,3772 и второй8145 телец6499 вознесен5927 во всесожжение5927 на новоустроенном1129 жертвеннике.4196
29 И говорили559 друг376 другу:7453 кто это1697 сделал?6213 Искали,1875 расспрашивали1245 и сказали:559 Гедеон,1439 сын1121 Иоасов,3101 сделал6213 это.1697
30 И сказали559 жители582 города5892 Иоасу:3101 выведи3318 сына1121 твоего; он должен умереть4191 за то, что разрушил5422 жертвенник4196 Ваала1168 и срубил3772 дерево,842 которое было при нем.
31 Иоас3101 сказал559 всем приступившим5975 к нему: вам ли вступаться7378 за Ваала,1168 вам ли защищать3467 его? кто вступится7378 за него, тот будет4191 предан4191 смерти4191 в это же утро;1242 если он Бог,430 то пусть сам вступится7378 за себя, потому что он разрушил5422 его жертвенник.4196
32 И стал7121 звать7121 его с того дня3117 Иероваалом,3378 потому что сказал:559 пусть Ваал1168 сам судится7378 с ним за то, что он разрушил5422 жертвенник4196 его.
33 Между тем все Мадианитяне4080 и Амаликитяне6002 и жители1121 востока6924 собрались622 вместе,3162 перешли5674реку и стали2583 станом2583 на долине6010 Изреельской.3157
34 И Дух7307 Господень3068 объял3847 Гедеона;1439 он вострубил8628 трубою,7782 и созвано2199 было2199 племя Авиезерово44 идти2199 за310 ним.
35 И послал7971 послов4397 по всему колену Манассиину,4519 и оно вызвалось2199 идти2199 за310 ним; также послал7971 послов4397 к Асиру,836 Завулону2074 и Неффалиму,5321 и сии пришли5927 навстречу7125 им.
36 И сказал559 Гедеон1439 Богу:430 если3426 Ты спасешь3467 Израиля3478 рукою3027 моею, как говорил1696 Ты,
37 то вот, я расстелю3322здесь на гумне1637 стриженую1492 шерсть:6785 если роса2919 будет только на шерсти,1492 а на всей земле776 сухо,2721 то буду3045 знать,3045 что спасешь3467 рукою3027 моею Израиля,3478 как говорил1696 Ты.
38 Так и сделалось: на другой4283 день,4283 встав7925 рано,7925 он стал2115 выжимать2115 шерсть1492 и выжал4680 из шерсти1492 росы2919 целую4393 чашу5602 воды.4325
39 И сказал559 Гедеон1439 Богу:430 не прогневайся2734639 на меня, если еще раз6471 скажу1696 и еще только однажды6471 сделаю5254 испытание5254 над шерстью:1492 пусть будет сухо2721 на одной только шерсти,1492 а на всей земле776 пусть будет роса.2919

14 And the LORD3068 looked6437 upon413 him, and said,559 Go in1980 this2088 thy might,3581 and thou shalt save3467853 Israel3478 from the hand44803709 of the Midianites:4080 have not3808 I sent7971 thee?
14 Господь,3068 воззрев6437 на него, сказал:559 иди3212 с этою силою3581 твоею и спаси3467 Израиля3478 от руки3709 Мадианитян;4080 Я посылаю7971 тебя.
15 And he said559 unto413 him, Oh994 my Lord,136 wherewith4100 shall I save3467853 Israel?3478 behold,2009 my family504is poor1800 in Manasseh,4519 and I595am the least6810 in my father's1 house.1004
15 Гедеон сказал559 ему: Господи!136 как4100 спасу3467 я Израиля?3478 вот, и племя504505 мое в колене Манассиином4519 самое бедное,1800 и я в доме1004 отца1 моего младший.6810
16 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 him, Surely3588 I will be1961 with5973 thee, and thou shalt smite5221853 the Midianites4080 as one259 man.376
16 И сказал559 ему Господь:3068 Я буду с тобою, и ты поразишь5221 Мадианитян,4080 как одного259 человека.376
17 And he said559 unto413 him, If518 now4994 I have found4672 grace2580 in thy sight,5869 then show6213 me a sign226 that thou7945859 talkest1696 with5973 me.
17 Гедеон сказал559 Ему: если я обрел4672 благодать2580 пред очами5869 Твоими, то сделай6213 мне знамение,226 что Ты говоришь1696 со мною:
18 Depart4185 not408 hence,44802088 I pray thee,4994 until5704 I come935 unto413 thee, and bring forth3318853 my present,4503 and set5117it before6440 thee. And he said,559 I595 will tarry3427 until5704 thou come again.7725
18 не уходи4185 отсюда, доколе я не приду935 к Тебе и не принесу3318 дара4503 моего и не предложу3240 Тебе. Он сказал:559 Я останусь3427 до возвращения7725 твоего.
19 And Gideon1439 went in,935 and made ready6213 a kid,14235795 and unleavened cakes4682 of an ephah374 of flour:7058 the flesh1320 he put7760 in a basket,5536 and he put7760 the broth4839 in a pot,6517 and brought it out3318 unto413 him under4138478 the oak,424 and presented5066it.

20 And the angel4397 of God430 said559 unto413 him, Take3947853 the flesh1320 and the unleavened cakes,4682 and lay5117them upon413 this1975 rock,5553 and pour out8210 the broth.4839 And he did6213 so.3651

22 And when Gideon1439 perceived7200 that3588 he1931was an angel4397 of the LORD,3068 Gideon1439 said,559 Alas,162 O Lord136 GOD!3069 for3588 because59213651 I have seen7200 an angel4397 of the LORD3068 face6440 to413 face.6440
22 И увидел7200 Гедеон,1439 что это Ангел4397 Господень,3068 и сказал559 Гедеон:1439увы162мне, Владыка136 Господи!3069 потому что3651 я видел7200 Ангела4397 Господня3068 лицем6440 к лицу.6440
23 And the LORD3068 said559 unto him, Peace7965be unto thee; fear3372 not:408 thou shalt not3808 die.4191
23 Господь3068 сказал559 ему: мир7965 тебе, не бойся,3372 не умрешь.4191
24 Then Gideon1439 built1129 an altar4196 there8033 unto the LORD,3068 and called7121 it Jehovah-shalom:3073 unto5704 this2088 day3117 it is yet5750 in Ophrah6084 of the Abi-ezrites.33
24 И устроил1129 там Гедеон1439 жертвенник4196 Господу3068 и назвал7121 его: Иегова3073 Шалом.3073 Он еще до сего дня3117 в Офре6084 Авиезеровой.33
25 And it came to pass1961 the same1931 night,3915 that the LORD3068 said559 unto him, Take3947853 thy father's1 young bullock,64997794 even the second8145 bullock6499 of seven7651 years8141 old, and throw down2040853 the altar4196 of Baal1168 that834 thy father1 hath, and cut down3772 the grove842 that834is by5921 it:

26 And build1129 an altar4196 unto the LORD3068 thy God430 upon5921 the top7218 of this2088 rock,4581 in the ordered place,4634 and take3947853 the second8145 bullock,6499 and offer5927 a burnt sacrifice5930 with the wood6086 of the grove842 which834 thou shalt cut down.3772
26 и поставь1129 жертвенник4196 Господу3068 Богу430 твоему, на вершине7218 скалы4581 сей, в порядке,4634 и возьми3947 второго8145 тельца6499 и принеси5927 во всесожжение5930 на дровах6086 дерева,842 которое срубишь.3772
27 Then Gideon1439 took3947 ten6235 men376 of his servants,44805650 and did6213 as834 the LORD3068 had said1696 unto413 him: and so it was,1961 because834 he feared3372853 his father's1 household,1004 and the men376 of the city,5892 that he could not do44806213it by day,3119 that he did6213it by night.3915

28 And when the men376 of the city5892 arose early7925 in the morning,1242 behold,2009 the altar4196 of Baal1168 was cast down,5422 and the grove842 was cut down3772 that834was by5921 it, and the second8145 bullock6499 was offered5927 upon5921 the altar4196that was built.1129

29 And they said559 one376 to413 another,7453 Who4310 hath done6213 this2088 thing?1697 And when they inquired1875 and asked,1245 they said,559 Gideon1439 the son1121 of Joash3101 hath done6213 this2088 thing.1697
29 И говорили559 друг376 другу:7453 кто это1697 сделал?6213 Искали,1875 расспрашивали1245 и сказали:559 Гедеон,1439 сын1121 Иоасов,3101 сделал6213 это.1697
30 Then the men376 of the city5892 said559 unto413 Joash,3101 Bring out3318853 thy son,1121 that he may die:4191 because3588 he hath cast down5422853 the altar4196 of Baal,1168 and because3588 he hath cut down3772 the grove842 that834was by5921 it.
30 И сказали559 жители582 города5892 Иоасу:3101 выведи3318 сына1121 твоего; он должен умереть4191 за то, что разрушил5422 жертвенник4196 Ваала1168 и срубил3772 дерево,842 которое было при нем.
31 And Joash3101 said559 unto all3605 that834 stood5975 against5921 him, Will ye859 plead7378 for Baal?1168 will ye859 save3467 him? he that834 will plead7378 for him, let him be put to death4191 whilst5704it is yet morning:1242 if518 he1931be a god,430 let him plead7378 for himself, because3588one hath cast down5422853 his altar.4196
31 Иоас3101 сказал559 всем приступившим5975 к нему: вам ли вступаться7378 за Ваала,1168 вам ли защищать3467 его? кто вступится7378 за него, тот будет4191 предан4191 смерти4191 в это же утро;1242 если он Бог,430 то пусть сам вступится7378 за себя, потому что он разрушил5422 его жертвенник.4196
32 Therefore on that1931 day3117 he called7121 him Jerubbaal,3378 saying,559 Let Baal1168 plead7378 against him, because3588 he hath thrown down5422853 his altar.4196
32 И стал7121 звать7121 его с того дня3117 Иероваалом,3378 потому что сказал:559 пусть Ваал1168 сам судится7378 с ним за то, что он разрушил5422 жертвенник4196 его.
33 Then all3605 the Midianites4080 and the Amalekites6003 and the children1121 of the east6924 were gathered622 together,3162 and went over,5674 and pitched2583 in the valley6010 of Jezreel.3157
33 Между тем все Мадианитяне4080 и Амаликитяне6002 и жители1121 востока6924 собрались622 вместе,3162 перешли5674реку и стали2583 станом2583 на долине6010 Изреельской.3157
34 But the Spirit7307 of the LORD3068 came upon3847853 Gideon,1439 and he blew8628 a trumpet;7782 and Abi-ezer44 was gathered2199 after310 him.
34 И Дух7307 Господень3068 объял3847 Гедеона;1439 он вострубил8628 трубою,7782 и созвано2199 было2199 племя Авиезерово44 идти2199 за310 ним.
35 And he sent7971 messengers4397 throughout all3605 Manasseh;4519 who1931 also1571 was gathered2199 after310 him: and he sent7971 messengers4397 unto Asher,836 and unto Zebulun,2074 and unto Naphtali;5321 and they came up5927 to meet7125 them.
35 И послал7971 послов4397 по всему колену Манассиину,4519 и оно вызвалось2199 идти2199 за310 ним; также послал7971 послов4397 к Асиру,836 Завулону2074 и Неффалиму,5321 и сии пришли5927 навстречу7125 им.
36 And Gideon1439 said559 unto413 God,430 If518 thou3426 wilt save3467853 Israel3478 by mine hand,3027 as834 thou hast said,1696
36 И сказал559 Гедеон1439 Богу:430 если3426 Ты спасешь3467 Израиля3478 рукою3027 моею, как говорил1696 Ты,
37 Behold,2009 I595 will put3322853 a fleece1492 of wool6785 in the floor;1637and if518 the dew2919 be1961 on5921 the fleece1492 only,905 and it be dry2721 upon5921 all3605 the earth776beside, then shall I know3045 that3588 thou wilt save3467853 Israel3478 by mine hand,3027 as834 thou hast said.1696
37 то вот, я расстелю3322здесь на гумне1637 стриженую1492 шерсть:6785 если роса2919 будет только на шерсти,1492 а на всей земле776 сухо,2721 то буду3045 знать,3045 что спасешь3467 рукою3027 моею Израиля,3478 как говорил1696 Ты.
38 And it was1961 so:3651 for he rose up early7925 on the morrow,44804283 and thrust2115853 the fleece1492 together,2115 and wrung4680 the dew2919 out of4480 the fleece,1492 a bowl5602 full4392 of water.4325
38 Так и сделалось: на другой4283 день,4283 встав7925 рано,7925 он стал2115 выжимать2115 шерсть1492 и выжал4680 из шерсти1492 росы2919 целую4393 чашу5602 воды.4325
39 And Gideon1439 said559 unto413 God,430 Let not408 thine anger639 be hot2734 against me and I will speak1696 but389 this once:6471 let me prove,5254 I pray thee,4994 but7535 this once6471 with the fleece;1492 let it now4994 be1961 dry2721 only905 upon413 the fleece,1492 and upon5921 all3605 the ground776 let there be1961 dew.2919
39 И сказал559 Гедеон1439 Богу:430 не прогневайся2734639 на меня, если еще раз6471 скажу1696 и еще только однажды6471 сделаю5254 испытание5254 над шерстью:1492 пусть будет сухо2721 на одной только шерсти,1492 а на всей земле776 пусть будет роса.2919
40 And God430 did6213 so3651 that1931 night:3915 for it was1961 dry2721 upon413 the fleece1492 only,905 and there was1961 dew2919 on5921 all3605 the ground.776
40 Бог430 так и сделал6213 в ту ночь:3915 только на шерсти1492 было сухо,2721 а на всей земле776 была роса.2919
