1 Es höreten aber Saphatja, der Sohn1121 Mathans, und4977 Gedalja1436, der Sohn1121 Pashurs6583, und Juchal3116, der Sohn1121 Selemjas8018, und Pashur6583, der Sohn1121 Malchias4441, die Rede1697, so Jeremia3414 zu8085 allem Volk5971 redete1696 und sprach559:

2 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 He that remaineth3427 in this2063 city5892 shall die4191 by the sword,2719 by the famine,7458 and by the pestilence:1698 but he that goeth forth3318 to413 the Chaldeans3778 shall live;2421 for he shall have1961 his life5315 for a prey,7998 and shall live.2425

2 So spricht559 der HErr3068: Wer in dieser Stadt5892 bleibet3427, der wird durch Schwert2719, Hunger7458 und3318 Pestilenz1698 sterben4191 müssen; wer aber hinausgehet zu2421 den Chaldäern3778, der soll lebend2421 bleiben2425 und wird sein Leben5315 wie eine Beute7998 davonbringen.

3 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 This2063 city5892 shall surely be given5414 5414 into the hand3027 of the king4428 of Babylon's894 army,2428 which shall take3920 it.

3 Denn also spricht der HErr3068: Diese Stadt5892 soll übergeben5414 werden dem3027 Heer2428 des Königs4428 zu Babel894, und5414 sollen sie559 gewinnen3920.

4 Therefore the princes8269 said559 unto413 the king,4428 We beseech thee,4994 let853 this2088 man376 be put to death:4191 for3588 thus5921 3651 he1931 weakeneth7503 853 the hands3027 of the men376 of war4421 that remain7604 in this2063 city,5892 and the hands3027 of all3605 the people,5971 in speaking1696 such428 words1697 unto413 them: for3588 this2088 man376 seeketh1875 not369 the welfare7965 of this2088 people,5971 but3588 518 the hurt.7451

4 Da sprachen559 die Fürsten8269 zum Könige4428: Laß doch diesen Mann376 töten4191; denn mit der Weise wendet er3027 die Kriegsleute4421 ab7503, so noch übrig7604 sind in dieser Stadt5892, desgleichen das1697 ganze Volk5971 auch, weil er solche Worte1696 zu ihnen sagt. Denn der Mann582 sucht1875 nicht7451, was zum Frieden7965 diesem Volk5971, sondern3651 was zum Unglück dienet.

5 Then Zedekiah6667 the king4428 said,559 Behold,2009 he1931 is in your hand:3027 for3588 the king4428 is not369 he that can do3201 any thing1697 against you.

5 Der König4428 Zedekia6667 sprach559: Siehe, er ist in euren Händen3027; denn der König4428 kann3201 nichts1697 wider euch.

6 Then took3947 they853 Jeremiah,3414 and cast7993 him into413 the dungeon953 of Malchiah4441 the son1121 of Hammelech,4429 that834 was in the court2691 of the prison:4307 and they let down7971 853 Jeremiah3414 with cords.2256 And in the dungeon953 there was no369 water,4325 but3588 518 mire:2916 so Jeremiah3414 sunk2883 in the mire.2916

6 Da nahmen3947 sie Jeremia3414 und4428 warfen7993 ihn in die Grube953 Malchias4441, des7971 Sohns Hamelechs, die am Vorhofe2691 des Gefängnisses4307 war1121, und ließen ihn an Seilen2256 hinab in die Grube953, da nicht Wasser4325, sondern Schlamm2916 war. Und Jeremia3414 sank2883 in den Schlamm2916.

7 Now when Ebed-melech5663 the Ethiopian,3569 one376 of the eunuchs5631 which1931 was in the king's4428 house,1004 heard8085 that3588 they had put5414 853 Jeremiah3414 in413 the dungeon;953 the king4428 then sitting3427 in the gate8179 of Benjamin;1144

7 Als aber Ebed-Melech5663, der Mohr3569, ein376 Kämmerer5631 in des Königs4428 Hause1004, hörete, daß man Jeremia3414 hatte8085 in die Grube953 geworfen, und5414 der König4428 eben saß3427 im Tor8179 Benjamin1144,

8 Ebed-melech5663 went forth3318 out of the king's4428 house,4480 1004 and spoke1696 to413 the king,4428 saying,559

8 da ging Ebed-Melech5663 aus3318 des Königs4428 Hause1004 und redete1696 mit dem Könige4428 und sprach559:

9 My lord113 the king,4428 these428 men376 have done evil7489 in853 all3605 that834 they have done6213 to Jeremiah3414 the prophet,5030 853 whom834 they have cast7993 into413 the dungeon;953 and he is like to die4191 for4480 6440 hunger7458 in the place where8478 he is: for3588 there is no369 more5750 bread3899 in the city.5892

9 Mein HErr113 König4428, die Männer582 handeln6213 übel7489 mit dem Propheten5030 Jeremia3414, daß sie ihn haben in6440 die Grube953 geworfen, da8478 er7993 muß Hungers7458 sterben4191; denn es ist kein Brot3899 mehr in der Stadt5892.

10 Then the king4428 commanded6680 853 Ebed-melech5663 the Ethiopian,3569 saying,559 Take3947 from hence4480 2088 thirty7970 men376 with3027 thee, and take up5927 853 Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 out of4480 the dungeon,953 before2962 he die.4191

10 Da befahl6680 der König4428 Ebed-Melech5663, dem Mohren3569, und sprach559: Nimm3947 dreißig7970 Männer582 mit dir von3027 diesen und zeuch den Propheten5030 Jeremia3414 aus5927 der Grube953, ehe denn er sterbe4191.

11 So Ebed-melech5663 took3947 853 the men376 with3027 him, and went into935 the house1004 of the king4428 under413 8478 the treasury,214 and took3947 thence4480 8033 old1094 cast clouts5499 and old1094 rotten rags,4418 and let them down7971 by cords2256 into413 the dungeon953 to413 Jeremiah.3414

11 Und1094 Ebed-Melech5663 nahm3947 die Männer582 mit sich und1094 ging935 in des Königs4428 Haus1004 unter die Schatzkammer214 und nahm3947 daselbst zerrissene5499 und vertragene alte Lumpen4418 und ließ7971 sie an3027 einem Seil2256 hinab zu Jeremia3414 in die Grube953.

12 And Ebed-melech5663 the Ethiopian3569 said559 unto413 Jeremiah,3414 Put7760 now4994 these old1094 cast clouts5499 and rotten rags4418 under8478 thine armholes679 3027 under4480 8478 the cords.2256 And Jeremiah3414 did6213 so.3651

12 Und Ebed-Melech5663, der Mohr3569, sprach559 zu Jeremia3414: Lege7760 diese1094 zerrissenen5499 und vertragenen alten Lumpen4418 unter deine Achseln um3027 das Seil2256. Und Jeremia3414 tat6213 also.

13 So they drew up4900 853 Jeremiah3414 with cords,2256 and took him up5927 853 out of4480 the dungeon:953 and Jeremiah3414 remained3427 in the court2691 of the prison.4307

13 Und sie4900 zogen Jeremia3414 herauf5927 aus der Grube953 an den Stricken2256. Und blieb3427 also Jeremia3414 im Vorhofe2691 des Gefängnisses4307.

14 Then Zedekiah6667 the king4428 sent,7971 and took3947 853 Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 unto413 him into413 the third7992 entry3996 that834 is in the house1004 of the LORD:3068 and the king4428 said559 unto413 Jeremiah,3414 I589 will ask7592 thee a thing;1697 hide3582 nothing408 1697 from4480 me.

14 Und der König4428 Zedekia6667 sandte hin und ließ7971 den Propheten5030 Jeremia3414 zu sich holen unter den dritten7992 Eingang3996 am Hause1004 des HErrn3068. Und der König4428 sprach559 zu Jeremia3414: Ich will3947 dich etwas fragen7592; Lieber, verhalte3582 mir nichts1697!

15 Then Jeremiah3414 said559 unto413 Zedekiah,6667 If3588 I declare5046 it unto thee, wilt thou not3808 surely put me to death?4191 4191 and if3588 I give thee counsel,3289 wilt thou not3808 hearken8085 unto413 me?

15 Jeremia3414 sprach559 zu4191 Zedekia6667: Sage ich dir etwas, so tötest4191 du8085 mich doch; gebe ich dir aber einen Rat3289, so gehorchest du mir5046 nicht.

16 So Zedekiah6667 the king4428 swore7650 secretly5643 unto413 Jeremiah,3414 saying,559 As the LORD3068 liveth,2416 853 that834 made6213 us853 this2063 soul,5315 I will not518 put thee to death,4191 neither518 will I give5414 thee into the hand3027 of these428 men376 that834 seek1245 853 thy life.5315

16 Da schwur7650 der König4428 Zedekia6667 dem Jeremia3414 heimlich5643 und sprach559: So wahr der HErr3068 lebt, der uns diese See LE5315 gemacht6213 hat1245, so will ich dich nicht töten4191 noch den5315 Männern582 in die Hände3027 geben5414, die dir nach deinem Leben2416 stehen.

17 Then said559 Jeremiah3414 unto413 Zedekiah,6667 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 the God430 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 If518 thou wilt assuredly go forth3318 3318 unto413 the king4428 of Babylon's894 princes,8269 then thy soul5315 shall live,2421 and this2063 city5892 shall not3808 be burned8313 with fire;784 and thou859 shalt live,2421 and thine house: 1004

17 Und Jeremia3414 sprach559 zu2421 Zedekia6667: So spricht der HErr3068, der GOtt430 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478: Wirst du559 hinausgehen3318 zu2421 den Fürsten8269 des Königs4428 zu Babel894, so sollst du leben5315 bleiben, und diese Stadt5892 soll nicht verbrannt8313 werden3318, sondern du und dein Haus1004 sollen bei Leben bleiben.

18 But if518 thou wilt not3808 go forth3318 to413 the king4428 of Babylon's894 princes,8269 then shall this2063 city5892 be given5414 into the hand3027 of the Chaldeans,3778 and they shall burn8313 it with fire,784 and thou859 shalt not3808 escape4422 out of their hand.4480 3027

18 Wirst du aber nicht hinausgehen3318 zu den Fürsten8269 des Königs4428 zu Babel894, so wird diese Stadt5892 den Chaldäern3778 in die Hände3027 gegeben5414, und werden sie mit Feuer784 verbrennen8313, und du wirst auch nicht ihren Händen3027 entrinnen4422.

19 And Zedekiah6667 the king4428 said559 unto413 Jeremiah,3414 I589 am afraid of1672 853 the Jews3064 that834 are fallen5307 to413 the Chaldeans,3778 lest6435 they deliver5414 me into their hand,3027 and they mock5953 me.

19 Der König4428 Zedekia6667 sprach559 zu Jeremia3414: Ich besorge mich1672 aber5953, daß ich den Juden3064, so zu den Chaldäern3778 gefallen5307 sind, möchte übergeben werden3027, daß sie5414 mein spotten.

|
20 But Jeremiah3414 said,559 They shall not3808 deliver5414 thee. Obey,8085 I beseech thee,4994 the voice6963 of the LORD,3068 which834 I589 speak1696 unto413 thee: so it shall be well3190 unto thee, and thy soul5315 shall live.2421
|
20 Jeremia3414 sprach559: Man wird dich nicht übergeben. Lieber, gehorche doch der5315 Stimme6963 des HErrn3068, die ich dir3190 sage1696, so wird dir‘s wohlgehen und5414 du8085 wirst lebend2421 bleiben.

21 But if518 thou859 refuse3986 to go forth,3318 this2088 is the word1697 that834 the LORD3068 hath showed7200 me:
|
21 Wirst du aber nicht3986 hinausgehen3318, so ist7200 dies das Wort1697, das mir der HErr3068 gezeiget hat:

|
22 And, behold,2009 all3605 the women802 that834 are left7604 in the king4428 of Judah's3063 house1004 shall be brought forth3318 to413 the king4428 of Babylon's894 princes,8269 and those2007 women shall say,559 Thy friends376 7965 have set5496 thee on, and have prevailed3201 against thee: thy feet7272 are sunk2883 in the mire,1206 and they are turned away5472 back.268

22 Siehe, alle Weiber802, die noch vorhanden sind7604 in dem Hause1004 des Königs4428 Judas, werden3318 hinaus müssen zu den Fürsten8269 des Königs4428 zu Babel894. Dieselbigen werden dann sagen559: Ach, deine Tröster haben dich268 überredet5496 und7272 verführet und in Schlamm1206 geführet und lassen dich nun stecken5472!

23 So they shall bring out3318 all3605 thy wives802 and thy children1121 to413 the Chaldeans:3778 and thou859 shalt not3808 escape4422 out of their hand,4480 3027 but3588 shalt be taken8610 by the hand3027 of the king4428 of Babylon:894 and thou shalt cause this2063 city5892 to be burned8313 with fire.784

23 Also werden3318 dann alle deine Weiber802 und Kinder1121 hinaus müssen zu den Chaldäern3778, und du3027 selbst wirst ihren Händen3027 nicht entgehen, sondern8610 du wirst vom Könige4428 zu Babel894 gegriffen, und diese Stadt5892 wird mit Feuer784 verbrannt8313 werden4422.

24 Then said559 Zedekiah6667 unto413 Jeremiah,3414 Let no408 man376 know3045 of these428 words,1697 and thou shalt not3808 die.4191
|
24 Und Zedekia6667 sprach559 zu Jeremia3414: Siehe zu, daß niemand376 diese Rede1697 erfahre3045, so wirst du nicht sterben4191.

25 But if3588 the princes8269 hear8085 that3588 I have talked1696 with854 thee, and they come935 unto413 thee, and say559 unto413 thee, Declare5046 unto us now4994 what4100 thou hast said1696 unto413 the king,4428 hide3582 it not408 from4480 us, and we will not3808 put thee to death;4191 also what4100 the king4428 said1696 unto413 thee:

25 Und935 ob es die Fürsten8269 erführen, daß ich mit dir geredet habe1696, und kämen zu dir und sprächen: Sage559 an5046, was hast1696 du1696 mit dem Könige4428 geredet, leugne3582 es uns nicht, so wollen wir dich nicht töten4191; und was hat8085 der König4428 mit dir geredet?

26 Then thou shalt say559 unto413 them, I589 presented5307 my supplication8467 before6440 the king,4428 that he would not1115 cause me to return7725 to Jonathan's3129 house,1004 to die4191 there.8033

26 so sprich559: Ich habe den König4428 gebeten8467, daß er5307 mich6440 nicht wiederum7725 ließe in Jonathans3083 Haus1004 führen; ich möchte daselbst sterben4191.

27 Then came935 all3605 the princes8269 unto413 Jeremiah,3414 and asked7592 him: and he told5046 them according to all3605 these428 words1697 that834 the king4428 had commanded.6680 So they left off speaking2790 with4480 him; for3588 the matter1697 was not3808 perceived.8085

27 Da kamen935 alle Fürsten8269 zu8085 Jeremia3414 und fragten7592 ihn; und er sagte5046 ihnen1697, wie ihm der König4428 befohlen hatte6680. Da ließen sie2790 von ihm, weil sie nichts1697 erfahren konnten.

28 So Jeremiah3414 abode3427 in the court2691 of the prison4307 until5704 the day3117 that834 Jerusalem3389 was taken:3920 and he was1961 there when834 Jerusalem3389 was taken.3920
|
28 Und Jeremia3414 blieb3427 im Vorhofe2691 des Gefängnisses4307 bis auf den Tag3117, da3920 Jerusalem3389 gewonnen3920 ward.
