3 Когда подаешь ты нищим, пусть левая рука твоя не знает, что делает правая:
4 милостыня твоя должна быть втайне, а Отец твой, видящий тайное, Он воздаст тебе.
5 И когда молитесь, не ведите себя, как лицемеры: они любят молиться на виду у людей, стоя в синагогах и на перекрестках. Поверьте Мне, в этом и вся их награда.
6 А ты, когда молишься, войди в свою комнату и, затворив за собой дверь, помолись Отцу своему, Который и в тайном месте присутствует; и Отец твой, видящий тайное, Он воздаст тебе.
7 Молясь же, не твердите пустых слов, как язычники, которые думают, что в многословии своем будут услышаны.
8 Не уподобляйтесь им, ибо знает Отец ваш, в чем нуждаетесь вы, прежде чем сами Его попросите.
9 Молитесь же так: Отец наш Небесный! Почитаемо да будет святое имя Твое,
10 да придет Твое Царство. И на земле да будет воля Твоя, как на Небе.
11 Хлеб наш насущный даруй нам сегодня.
12 И прости нам долги наши, как и мы простили тем, кто нам должен.
13 Не дай нам впасть во искушение и от злого духа нас избавь. Твое ведь Царство и сила и слава вовеки. Аминь.
14 Если простите другим согрешения их, простит и вам Отец ваш Небесный.
15 А если не будете людям прощать, то и вам не простит ваш Отец согрешения ваши.
16 Когда поститесь, не будьте угрюмы, как лицемеры. Это они кичатся скорбными лицами, чтобы люди видели их постящимися. Поверьте Мне, в этом и вся их награда.
17 А ты, когда постишься, голову умасти елеем и умой лицо свое
18 и постись не на глазах у людей, но лишь пред Отцом своим, Который и в тайном месте присутствует; и Он, видящий тайное, Он воздаст тебе.
19 Не копите богатства себе на земле, где моль и ржавчина точат их и где воры добираются до них и крадут их;
20 приумножайте лучше свои богатства на небе, где нет моли и ржавчины и нет воров и краж.
21 Ибо там, где богатство твое, там будет и сердце твое.
22 Глаз есть светильник тела. Если глаза твои беззлобны, всё тело твое будет во свете.
23 Но если глаза твои недобры, всё тело твое будет во тьме. Когда же свет, который в тебе, — не что иное, как тьма, сколь велика эта тьма!
24 Никто не может служить двум господам: полюбив одного, он не сможет любить другого; будучи предан одному, станет пренебрегать другим. Не можете разом служить вы мамоне и Богу.
25 Вот почему говорю вам: не тревожьтесь о повседневной жизни вашей, что будете вы есть [или что пить] и будет ли у вас одежда для тела. Ведь жизнь — это больше, чем пища. И тело не больше ли, чем одежда?
26 Взгляните на птиц поднебесных: не сеют они и не жнут, в закрома не собирают, однако Отец ваш Небесный питает их. Разве не дороги вы для Него много более, чем они?
27 Да и кто из вас, сколько бы он ни заботился, может хотя бы на час продлить свою жизнь?
28 И об одежде зачем беспокоитесь? Вот лилии полевые: они не изнуряют себя трудом, не прядут.
29 Но даже и Соломон, во всей своей славе и блеске, не одевался — говорю вам — так, как любая из них.
30 Но если траву полевую, которая сегодня есть, а завтра будет в печь брошена, Бог так одевает, не сделает ли Он большее для вас, маловеры?
31 Итак, не тревожьтесь и не говорите: „Что нам есть?“, „Что нам пить?“, „Во что нам одеться?“ —
32 это ведь для язычников главная забота. Что же до ваших нужд, знает обо всех о них Отец ваш Небесный.
33 Царство [Божие] и Божия праведность — вот к чему должны вы стремиться прежде всего, а остальное всё будет дано вам в придачу.
34 Итак, не тревожьтесь о завтрашнем дне, ибо завтрашний день сам позаботится о себе. Довольно каждому дню своего беспокойства.

20 приумножайте лучше свои богатства на небе, где нет моли и ржавчины и нет воров и краж.

21 Ибо там, где богатство твое, там будет и сердце твое.

22 Глаз есть светильник тела. Если глаза твои беззлобны, всё тело твое будет во свете.

23 Но если глаза твои недобры, всё тело твое будет во тьме. Когда же свет, который в тебе, — не что иное, как тьма, сколь велика эта тьма!

25 Вот почему говорю вам: не тревожьтесь о повседневной жизни вашей, что будете вы есть [или что пить] и будет ли у вас одежда для тела. Ведь жизнь — это больше, чем пища. И тело не больше ли, чем одежда?
