Chapter 16

1 The word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 also to me, saying,

2 You shall not take3947 you a wife,802 neither3808 shall you have sons1121 or daughters1323 in this2088 place.4725

3 For thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 concerning5921 the sons1121 and concerning5921 the daughters1323 that are born3205 in this2088 place,4725 and concerning5921 their mothers517 that bore3205 them, and concerning5921 their fathers1 that begat3205 them in this2088 land;776

4 They shall die4191 of grievous8463 deaths;4463 they shall not be lamented;5594 neither3808 shall they be buried;6912 but they shall be as dung1828 on the face6440 of the earth:127 and they shall be consumed3615 by the sword,2719 and by famine;7458 and their carcasses5038 shall be meat3978 for the fowls5775 of heaven,8064 and for the beasts929 of the earth.776

5 For thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 Enter935 not into the house1004 of mourning,4798 neither3808 go3212 to lament5594 nor3808 bemoan5110 them: for I have taken622 away my peace7965 from this2088 people,5971 said5002 the LORD,3068 even853 loving kindness2617 and mercies.7356

6 Both the great1419 and the small6996 shall die4191 in this2063 land:776 they shall not be buried,6912 neither3808 shall men lament5594 for them, nor3808 cut1413 themselves, nor3808 make themselves bald7139 for them:

7 Neither3808 shall men tear6536 themselves for them in mourning,60 to comfort5162 them for the dead;4191 neither3808 shall men give them the cup3563 of consolation8575 to drink8248 for their father1 or for their mother.517

8 You shall not also go935 into the house1004 of feasting,4960 to sit3427 with them to eat398 and to drink.8354

9 For thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 Behold,2005 I will cause to cease7673 out of this2088 place4725 in your eyes,5869 and in your days,3117 the voice6963 of mirth,8342 and the voice6963 of gladness,8057 the voice6963 of the bridegroom,2860 and the voice6963 of the bride.3618

10 And it shall come1961 to pass, when3588 you shall show5046 this2088 people5971 all3605 these428 words,1697 and they shall say559 to you, Why5921 4100 has the LORD3068 pronounced1696 all3605 this2063 great1419 evil7451 against5921 us? or what4100 is our iniquity?5771 or what4100 is our sin2403 that we have committed2398 against the LORD3068 our God?430

11 Then shall you say559 to them, Because5921 834 your fathers1 have forsaken5800 me, said5002 the LORD,3068 and have walked3212 after310 other312 gods,430 and have served5647 them, and have worshipped7812 them, and have forsaken5800 me, and have not kept8104 my law;8451

12 And you have done6213 worse7489 than your fathers;1 for, behold,2009 you walk1980 every376 one376 after310 the imagination8307 of his evil7451 heart,3820 that they may not listen8085 to me:

13 Therefore will I cast2904 you out of this2063 land776 into5921 a land776 that you know3045 not, neither you nor your fathers;1 and there8033 shall you serve5647 other312 gods430 day3119 and night;3915 where834 I will not show5414 you favor.2594

14 Therefore,3651 behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 said5002 the LORD,3068 that it shall no3808 more5750 be said,559 The LORD3068 lives,2416 that brought5927 up the children1121 of Israel3478 out of the land776 of Egypt;4714

15 But, The LORD3068 lives,2416 that brought5927 up the children1121 of Israel3478 from the land776 of the north,6828 and from all3605 the lands776 where834 8033 he had driven5080 them: and I will bring7725 them again7725 into5921 their land127 that I gave5414 to their fathers.1

16 Behold,2005 I will send7971 for many7227 fishers,1728 said5002 the LORD,3068 and they shall fish1770 them; and after310 will I send7971 for many7227 hunters,6719 and they shall hunt6679 them from every3605 mountain,2022 and from every3605 hill,1389 and out of the holes5357 of the rocks.5553

17 For my eyes5869 are on all3605 their ways:1870 they are not hid5641 from my face,6440 neither3808 is their iniquity5771 hid6845 from my eyes.5869

18 And first7223 I will recompense7999 their iniquity5771 and their sin2403 double;4932 because5921 they have defiled2490 my land,776 they have filled4390 my inheritance5159 with the carcasses5038 of their detestable8251 and abominable8441 things.

19 O LORD,3068 my strength,5797 and my fortress,4581 and my refuge4498 in the day3117 of affliction,6869 the Gentiles1471 shall come935 to you from the ends657 of the earth,776 and shall say,559 Surely389 our fathers1 have inherited5157 lies,8267 vanity,1892 and things wherein there is no369 profit.3276

20 Shall a man120 make6213 gods430 to himself, and they are no3808 gods?430

21 Therefore,3651 behold,2005 I will this2063 once6471 cause them to know,3045 I will cause them to know3045 my hand3027 and my might;1369 and they shall know3045 that my name8034 is The LORD.3068

1 И было мне слово ГОСПОДНЕ:

2 «Не женись, Иеремия, пусть не будет у тебя в этой стране ни сыновей, ни дочерей».

3 Ибо вот что говорит ГОСПОДЬ о детях, родившихся здесь, и о матерях, что их родили, и об отцах, что дали им жизнь:

4 «Умрут они от смертельных болезней, и никто не оплачет их и не похоронит, будут брошены они на землю, словно навоз, гибель постигнет их от меча и голода. И трупы их достанутся на съедение птицам небесным и зверям земным».

5 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: «Не входи в дом, где поминают покойника, не оплакивай погибших и не сострадай им. Ибо Я лишил народ этот мира, — это слово ГОСПОДНЕ, — расположения Своего лишил и милости.

6 Умирать будут в этой стране от мала до велика, и не похоронят их и не оплачут, и в знак скорби порезов на теле не сделают и головы не обреют.

7 Не преломят хлеба для скорбящего, чтобы утешить его в утрате, и не дадут ему испить из чаши утешения в память об отце его и матери.

8 Не входи и в дом, где празднуют, чтобы не сидеть там, не есть с ними и не пить.

9 Ибо так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: „Я сделаю так, что в эти времена у вас на глазах умолкнут звуки веселья и радости и возгласы жениха и невесты“.

10 И когда ты скажешь этому народу всё это, они тебя спросят: „Предрек нам ГОСПОДЬ такое страшное бедствие, но за что? Какие преступления мы совершили, в чем согрешили мы против ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего?“

11 Ответь им тогда: „За то, что отцы ваши оставили Меня, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — последовали за чужими богами, служили им и поклонялись, а Меня оставили и Закон Мой перестали соблюдать;

12 вы же в нечестии своем даже превзошли своих отцов. Посмотрите, каждый из вас поступает по упрямству злого сердца своего, не желая слушать Меня.

13 Поэтому Я изгоню вас из земли этой в страну, которой не знаете ни вы, ни отцы ваши. Там будете служить чужим богам и днем и ночью, потому что Я не явлю вам милосердия“».

14 «Придет время, — это ГОСПОДА слово, — когда не станут более говорить: „Воистину жив ГОСПОДЬ, Который вывел потомков Израиля из Египта“, —

15 но скажут: „Воистину жив ГОСПОДЬ, Который вывел потомков Израиля из земли северной и из всех тех земель, в которые Он их изгнал“. Ибо Я верну их в ту землю, которую даровал их отцам».

16 «Смотри, Я пошлю за многими рыбаками, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — и они будут ловить блуждающих детей Моих, а после этого Я пошлю за многими охотниками, и они будут охотиться за ними по всем горам, холмам и расщелинам скал.

17 Потому что глаза Мои видят все их пути — не укроются они от Меня и не утаят от глаз Моих свои преступления.

18 Воздам им вдвойне за все преступления и за грехи, за то, что осквернили землю Мою и наполнили владения Мои остовами отвратительных истуканов и мерзкими идолами своими».

19 ГОСПОДИ, Ты — сила моя и крепость, убежище мое в тяжкое время! Придут к Тебе народы от пределов земли и скажут: «Воистину всё наследство наших отцов — лишь обман, идолы пустые, что пользы не приносят.

20 Может ли человек сам себе сделать бога? Ведь идол — не Бог!»

21 «Поэтому ныне Я откроюсь этому народу, явлю им власть Свою и могущество Свое, и узнают они, что имя Мое — ГОСПОДЬ.

5 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: «Не входи в дом, где поминают покойника, не оплакивай погибших и не сострадай им. Ибо Я лишил народ этот мира, — это слово ГОСПОДНЕ, — расположения Своего лишил и милости.

6 Both the great1419 and the small6996 shall die4191 in this2063 land:776 they shall not be buried,6912 neither3808 shall men lament5594 for them, nor3808 cut1413 themselves, nor3808 make themselves bald7139 for them:

6 Умирать будут в этой стране от мала до велика, и не похоронят их и не оплачут, и в знак скорби порезов на теле не сделают и головы не обреют.

7 Neither3808 shall men tear6536 themselves for them in mourning,60 to comfort5162 them for the dead;4191 neither3808 shall men give them the cup3563 of consolation8575 to drink8248 for their father1 or for their mother.517

7 Не преломят хлеба для скорбящего, чтобы утешить его в утрате, и не дадут ему испить из чаши утешения в память об отце его и матери.

8 You shall not also go935 into the house1004 of feasting,4960 to sit3427 with them to eat398 and to drink.8354

8 Не входи и в дом, где празднуют, чтобы не сидеть там, не есть с ними и не пить.

9 Ибо так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: „Я сделаю так, что в эти времена у вас на глазах умолкнут звуки веселья и радости и возгласы жениха и невесты“.

10 И когда ты скажешь этому народу всё это, они тебя спросят: „Предрек нам ГОСПОДЬ такое страшное бедствие, но за что? Какие преступления мы совершили, в чем согрешили мы против ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего?“

11 Then shall you say559 to them, Because5921 834 your fathers1 have forsaken5800 me, said5002 the LORD,3068 and have walked3212 after310 other312 gods,430 and have served5647 them, and have worshipped7812 them, and have forsaken5800 me, and have not kept8104 my law;8451

11 Ответь им тогда: „За то, что отцы ваши оставили Меня, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — последовали за чужими богами, служили им и поклонялись, а Меня оставили и Закон Мой перестали соблюдать;

12 And you have done6213 worse7489 than your fathers;1 for, behold,2009 you walk1980 every376 one376 after310 the imagination8307 of his evil7451 heart,3820 that they may not listen8085 to me:

12 вы же в нечестии своем даже превзошли своих отцов. Посмотрите, каждый из вас поступает по упрямству злого сердца своего, не желая слушать Меня.

13 Therefore will I cast2904 you out of this2063 land776 into5921 a land776 that you know3045 not, neither you nor your fathers;1 and there8033 shall you serve5647 other312 gods430 day3119 and night;3915 where834 I will not show5414 you favor.2594

13 Поэтому Я изгоню вас из земли этой в страну, которой не знаете ни вы, ни отцы ваши. Там будете служить чужим богам и днем и ночью, потому что Я не явлю вам милосердия“».

14 Therefore,3651 behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 said5002 the LORD,3068 that it shall no3808 more5750 be said,559 The LORD3068 lives,2416 that brought5927 up the children1121 of Israel3478 out of the land776 of Egypt;4714

14 «Придет время, — это ГОСПОДА слово, — когда не станут более говорить: „Воистину жив ГОСПОДЬ, Который вывел потомков Израиля из Египта“, —

15 But, The LORD3068 lives,2416 that brought5927 up the children1121 of Israel3478 from the land776 of the north,6828 and from all3605 the lands776 where834 8033 he had driven5080 them: and I will bring7725 them again7725 into5921 their land127 that I gave5414 to their fathers.1

15 но скажут: „Воистину жив ГОСПОДЬ, Который вывел потомков Израиля из земли северной и из всех тех земель, в которые Он их изгнал“. Ибо Я верну их в ту землю, которую даровал их отцам».

19 ГОСПОДИ, Ты — сила моя и крепость, убежище мое в тяжкое время! Придут к Тебе народы от пределов земли и скажут: «Воистину всё наследство наших отцов — лишь обман, идолы пустые, что пользы не приносят.

20 Shall a man120 make6213 gods430 to himself, and they are no3808 gods?430

20 Может ли человек сам себе сделать бога? Ведь идол — не Бог!»

21 Therefore,3651 behold,2005 I will this2063 once6471 cause them to know,3045 I will cause them to know3045 my hand3027 and my might;1369 and they shall know3045 that my name8034 is The LORD.3068

21 «Поэтому ныне Я откроюсь этому народу, явлю им власть Свою и могущество Свое, и узнают они, что имя Мое — ГОСПОДЬ.
