3 For the vision2377 is yet5750 for an appointed4150 time, but at the end7093 it shall speak,6315 and not lie:3576 though518 it tarry,4102 wait2442 for it; because3588 it will surely come,935 it will not tarry.309
4 Behold,2009 his soul5315 which is lifted6075 up is not upright3474 in him: but the just6662 shall live2421 by his faith.530
5 Yes637 also,637 because3588 he transgresses898 by wine,3196 he is a proud3093 man,1397 neither3808 keeps at home,5115 who834 enlarges7337 his desire5315 as hell,7585 and is as death,4194 and cannot3808 be satisfied,7646 but gathers622 to him all3605 nations,1471 and heaps6908 to him all3605 people:5971

10 You have consulted3289 shame1322 to your house1004 by cutting7096 off many7227 people,5971 and have sinned2398 against your soul.5315

13 Behold,2009 is it not of the LORD3068 of hosts6635 that the people5971 shall labor3021 in the very1767 fire,784 and the people3816 shall weary3286 themselves for very1767 vanity?7385
14 For the earth776 shall be filled4390 with the knowledge3045 of the glory3519 of the LORD,3068 as the waters4325 cover3680 the sea.3220
15 Woe1945 to him that gives his neighbor7453 drink,8248 that put5596 your bottle2573 to him, and make him drunken7937 also,637 that you may look5027 on5921 their nakedness!4589

17 For the violence2555 of Lebanon3844 shall cover3680 you, and the spoil7701 of beasts,929 which made them afraid,2865 because of men's120 blood,1818 and for the violence2555 of the land,776 of the city,7151 and of all3605 that dwell3427 therein.
18 What4100 profits3276 the graven6459 image6755 that the maker3335 thereof has graven6458 it; the molten4541 image,6755 and a teacher3384 of lies,8267 that the maker3335 of his work3336 trusts982 therein,5921 to make6213 dumb483 idols?457
19 Woe1945 to him that said559 to the wood,6086 Awake;6974 to the dumb1748 stone,68 Arise,5782 it shall teach!3384 Behold,2009 it is laid8610 over with gold2091 and silver,3701 and there is no369 breath7307 at all3605 in the middle7130 of it.
20 But the LORD3068 is in his holy6944 temple:1964 let all3605 the earth776 keep silence2013 before6440 him.

1 На страже я встану, на крепостной вал взберусь, ожидать буду, что скажет Он мне, как на вопрошание мое ответит.
2 И ответил ГОСПОДЬ мне: «Запиши то, что видишь, на табличках крупно начертай, чтобы вестник бегущий мог прочитать.
3 Видение это — для своего часа, и говорит о конце оно, не обманет. Если и есть промедление, жди — сбудется пророчество, не опоздает!
4 Посмотри на человека надменного, нет у него в душе правды, а праведный своей верою жить будет.
5 Да и богатство обманчиво, человеку заносчивому не устоять пред ним: он пасть свою широко разевает, подобно Шеолу, ненасытен, словно смерть; подминает под себя все народы, порабощает все племена.
6 Не будут ли все над человеком таким насмехаться? Притчей во языцех станет он. Скажут о нем: „Беда найдет на того, кто норовит ухватить чужое“. Сколько еще ты будешь обогащаться перезаложенным добром?
7 Не поднимутся ли все заимодавцы разом нежданно-негаданно, не проснутся ли те, кто тебя дрожать заставит? Станешь ты их добычей!
8 Как ты грабил множество народов, так и уцелевшие из них тебя ограбят — за пролитую кровь, за земли разоренные, за города, за тех, кто жил в них.
9 Беда найдет и на того, кто нечестно прибыль добывает на погибель дому своему и вьет гнездо свое на высоте, чтоб не настигла его там гибель!
10 Ведь ты сам навлек позор на дом свой, когда истреблял множество народов; за это поплатишься ты жизнью своею.
11 Камни в стенах возопиют, и будут вторить им бревна строений.
12 Беда ждет того, кто строит город на крови и утверждает крепость на нечестии.
13 ГОСПОДЬ Воинств так положил! Народы тщетно трудятся — всё сгорит. Впустую изнуряют себя племена!
14 А земля познанием славы ГОСПОДНЕЙ исполнится, как воды наполняют море.
15 Беда ждет и того, кто поит соседей виномиз чаши ненависти своей, тому, кто спаивает их, чтобы поиздеваться над их наготой.
16 Сам ты позором, а не славой будешь покрыт, так пей и ходи, шатаясь. Тогда-то чаша гнева ГОСПОДНЕГО тебя не минует, бесчестье затмит твою былую славу.
17 Тебя самого повергнет в ужас то, что даже зверей ты истреблял, и насилие, что на Ливане ты творил, захлестнет тебя — за пролитую кровь, за земли разоренные, за города, за тех, кто жил в них.
18 Прок какой в изваянии, которое создал ремесленник? Или в литом истукане, что учит лжи? А ведь их создающий в них верит, хотя и делает лишь идолов безгласных.
19 Беда настигнет того, кто к идолу деревянному взывает: „Пробудись!“ — или к бесчувственному камню: „Встань!“ Может ли камень научить чему? Да, золотом и серебром обложены они, но ведь бездыханны».
20 А ГОСПОДЬ — во святом чертоге Своем, и вся земля пред Ним да молчит!

5 Да и богатство обманчиво, человеку заносчивому не устоять пред ним: он пасть свою широко разевает, подобно Шеолу, ненасытен, словно смерть; подминает под себя все народы, порабощает все племена.

18 Прок какой в изваянии, которое создал ремесленник? Или в литом истукане, что учит лжи? А ведь их создающий в них верит, хотя и делает лишь идолов безгласных.
