1 Du darfst dich nicht freuen8055, Israel3478, noch rühmen wie die Völker5971; denn du hurest wider deinen GOtt430, damit du suchest Hurenlohn868, daß alle Tennen voll Getreide1715 werden.

1 Rejoice8055 not, O Israel,3478 for joy,1524 as other people:5971 for you have gone a whoring2181 from your God,430 you have loved157 a reward868 on every3605 corn floor.1637 1715

2 Darum so sollen dich die Tennen1637 und Kelter3342 nicht nähren7462, und der Most8492 soll dir fehlen3584.

2 The floor1637 and the wine press3342 shall not feed7462 them, and the new8492 wine8492 shall fail3584 in her.

3 Und sollen nicht bleiben3427 im Lande des HErrn3068, sondern Ephraim669 muß wieder7725 nach Ägypten4714 und muß in Assyrien804, das776 unrein2931 ist, essen398,

3 They shall not dwell3427 in the LORD's3068 land;776 but Ephraim669 shall return7725 to Egypt,4714 and they shall eat398 unclean2931 things in Assyria.804

4 daselbst5258 sie5315 dem HErrn3068 kein Trankopfer vom Wein3196 noch etwas zu Gefallen6149 tun935 können. Ihr Opfer2077 soll sein wie der Betrübten Brot3899, an welchem unrein2930 werden alle, die davon essen398; denn ihr Brot205 müssen sie für sich selbst essen3899, und soll nicht in des HErrn3068 Haus1004 gebracht werden.

4 They shall not offer5258 wine8492 offerings to the LORD,3068 neither3808 shall they be pleasing6149 to him: their sacrifices2077 shall be to them as the bread3899 of mourners;205 all3605 that eat398 thereof shall be polluted:2930 for their bread3899 for their soul5315 shall not come935 into the house1004 of the LORD.3068

6 Siehe, sie müssen weg vor dem Verstörer7701! Ägypten4714 wird1980 sie sammeln6908, und3701 Moph4644 wird sie begraben. Nesseln7057 werden6912 wachsen, da jetzt ihr liebes4261 Götzensilber stehet, und3423 Dornen2336 in ihren Hütten168.

6 For, see,2009 they are gone1980 because of destruction:7701 Egypt4714 shall gather6908 them up, Memphis4644 shall bury6912 them: the pleasant4261 places for their silver,3701 nettles7057 shall possess3423 them: thorns2336 shall be in their tabernacles.168

7 Die Zeit3117 der Heimsuchung ist935 kommen, die Zeit3117 der Vergeltung7966; des wird3045 Israel3478 inne werden6486. Die Propheten5030 sind935 Narren191, und376 die Rottengeister sind wahnsinnig7696 um deiner großen7230 Missetat5771 und um der großen7227 feindseligen Abgötterei4895 willen7307.

7 The days3117 of visitation6486 are come,935 the days3117 of recompense7966 are come;935 Israel3478 shall know3045 it: the prophet5030 is a fool,191 the spiritual7307 man376 is mad,7696 for the multitude7230 of your iniquity,5771 and the great7227 hatred.4895

8 Die Wächter6822 in Ephraim669 hielten sich etwa an meinen GOtt430; aber nun sind sie Propheten5030, die Stricke6341 legen auf allen1870 ihren Wegen durch die feindselige Abgötterei4895 im Hause1004 ihres Gottes430.

8 The watchman6822 of Ephraim669 was with my God:430 but the prophet5030 is a snare6341 of a fowler3353 in all3605 his ways,1870 and hatred4895 in the house1004 of his God.430

9 Sie verderben‘s7843 zu tief6009, wie zur Zeit3117 Gibeas1390; darum wird6485 er ihrer Missetat gedenken2142 und2403 ihre Sünde5771 heimsuchen.

9 They have deeply6009 corrupted7843 themselves, as in the days3117 of Gibeah:1390 therefore he will remember2142 their iniquity,5771 he will visit6485 their sins.2403

10 Ich fand4672 Israel3478 in der Wüste4057 wie Trauben6025 und1322 sah7200 eure Väter1 wie die ersten7225 Feigen1063 am Feigenbaum8384; aber hernach gingen935 sie zu Baal-Peor1187 und gelobten sich5144 dem schändlichen Abgott und wurden ja so greulich8251 als ihre Buhlen157.

10 I found4672 Israel3478 like grapes6025 in the wilderness;4057 I saw7200 your fathers1 as the first ripe1063 in the fig8384 tree at her first7225 time:7225 but they went935 to Baalpeor,1187 and separated5144 themselves to that shame;1322 and their abominations8251 were according as they loved.157

11 Darum muß die Herrlichkeit3519 Ephraims669 wie ein Vogel5775 wegfliegen, daß sie5774 weder gebären3205 noch tragen noch schwanger werden sollen990.

11 As for Ephraim,669 their glory3519 shall fly5774 away like a bird,5775 from the birth,3205 and from the womb,990 and from the conception.2032

|
12 Und ob sie5493 ihre Kinder1121 gleich erzögen, will ich sie doch ohne Kinder machen1431, daß sie nicht Leute120 sein sollen. Auch wehe188 ihnen, wenn ich von ihnen bin gewichen!

12 Though3588 518 they bring1431 up their children,1121 yet will I bereave7921 them, that there shall not be a man120 left: yes,3588 woe188 also1571 to them when I depart5493 from them!

13 Ephraim669, als ich es ansehe, ist7200 gepflanzet und3318 hübsch5116 wie Tyrus6865, muß aber nun ihre Kinder1121 herauslassen dem Totschläger2026.
|
13 Ephraim,669 as I saw7200 Tyrus,6865 is planted8362 in a pleasant5116 place: but Ephraim669 shall bring3318 forth3318 his children1121 to the murderer.2026

14 HErr3068, gib5414 ihnen! Was willst du ihnen aber geben5414? Gib5414 ihnen unfruchtbare7921 Leiber7358 und versiegene Brüste7699!

14 Give5414 them, O LORD:3068 what4100 will you give?5414 give5414 them a miscarrying7921 womb7358 and dry6784 breasts.7699

15 Alle ihre Bosheit geschieht zu Gilgal1537, daselbst bin8130 ich ihnen feind; und7455 ich will sie auch um ihres bösen7451 Wesens willen4611 aus meinem Hause1004 stoßen1644 und nicht3254 mehr Liebe160 erzeigen; denn alle ihre Fürsten8269 sind Abtrünnige5637.

15 All3605 their wickedness7451 is in Gilgal:1537 for there8033 I hated8130 them: for the wickedness7455 of their doings4611 I will drive1644 them out of my house,1004 I will love160 them no3808 more:3254 all3605 their princes8269 are rebels.5637

16 Ephraim669 ist geschlagen5221; ihre Wurzel8328 ist verdorret, daß sie keine Frucht6529 mehr bringen können. Und6213 ob sie gebären3205 würden, will ich doch die liebe4261 Frucht ihres Leibes990 töten4191.

16 Ephraim669 is smitten,5221 their root8328 is dried3001 up, they shall bear6213 no1077 fruit:6529 yes,1571 though3588 they bring3205 forth,3205 yet will I slay4191 even the beloved4261 fruit of their womb.990

17 Mein GOtt430 wird sie3988 verwerfen, darum, daß sie ihn nicht5074 hören8085 wollen, und müssen unter den Heiden1471 in der Irre gehen.

17 My God430 will cast3988 them away, because3588 they did not listen8085 to him: and they shall be wanderers5074 among the nations.1471
