2 „Тими днями я, Даниїл, був у жало́бі три тижні ча́су. |
|
3 Лю́бої стра́ви я не їв, а м'ясо й вино не вхо́дило до моїх уст, і нама́щуватися — не нама́щувався я аж до ви́повнення цих трьох тижнів ча́су. |
|
4 А двадцятого й четвертого дня першого місяця та був я при великій річці, — це Хідде́кел. |
|
5 І звів я свої очі та й побачив, аж ось один чоловік, одя́гнений у льняну́ одіж, а сте́гна його опере́зані золотом з Уфазу. |
|
6 А тіло його — як топа́з, а обличчя його — як вид бли́скавки, а очі його — як огняне́ по́лум'я, а раме́на його та ноги його — ніби блиску́ча мідь, а звук слів його — як гук на́товпу. |
|
7 А я, Даниїл, сам бачив це виді́ння, а люди, що були ра́зом зо мною, не бачили цього видіння, але велике тремті́ння спало на них, і вони повтікали в укриття́. |
|
8 А я зостався сам, і бачив це велике виді́ння, — і не зоста́лося в мені сили, а краса́ обличчя мого змінилася й зни́щилася, і я не заде́ржав у собі сили. |
|
9 І почув я голос його слів. А як почув я голос його слів, то я зомлів, і припав своїм обличчям до землі. |
|
10 І ось рука доторкну́лася до мене, і звела́ мене на коліна мої та на долоні моїх рук. |
|
11 І сказав він до мене: „Даниїле, му́жу любий, зрозумій ті слова́, що я скажу́ тобі, і стань на своєму місці, бо тепер я по́сланий до тебе!“ А коли він говорив зо мною це слово, устав я й тремтів. |
|
12 А він промовив до мене: „Не бійся, Даниїле, бо від першого дня, коли ти дав своє серце, щоб зрозуміти видіння, і щоб упокори́тися перед лицем твого Бога, були почуті слова́ твої, і я прийшов ради твоїх слів. |
|
13 Але князь перського царства стояв проти мене двадцять і один день, і ось Михаїл, один із перших начальників, прийшов допомогти мені, а я позоставив його там при начальниках перських царів. |
|
14 І прийшов я, щоб ти зрозумів, що станеться твоєму наро́дові в кінці днів, бо це видіння ще на наступні дні“. |
|
15 А коли він говорив зо мною оці слова, я схилив своє обличчя до землі, і занімів. |
|
16 І ось хтось, як подоба до лю́дських синів, доторкнувся до губ моїх, і я відкрив свої уста, і говорив та й сказав тому, хто стояв передо мною: „Мій пане, у цьому видінні оберну́лися на мене бо́лі мої, і я не заде́ржав сили в собі. |
|
17 І як може цей раб мого пана говорити з оцим моїм паном, коли в мені тепер нема сили, і не залишилося й духу?“ |
|
18 І знов доторкнувся до мене хтось, як вид люди́ни, і зміцни́в мене, |
|
19 та й сказав: „Не бійся, любий му́жу, — мир тобі! Будь міцни́й і будь си́льний!“ А коли він говорив зо мною, я зміцни́вся й сказав: „Нехай говорить мій пан, бо я зміцни́вся!“ |
|
20 І він сказав: „Чи ти знаєш, чого я до тебе прийшов? Та тепер я верта́юсь, щоб воювати з пе́рським кня́зем, а коли ви́йду, то ось при́йде грецький князь. |
|
21 Але́ об'являю тобі записане в книзі правди. І немає ніко́го, хто зміцняв би мене проти них, окрім вашого кня́зя Михаїла. |

1 IN the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the thing and the vision were discerned and understood with great difficulty. |
|
2 In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three times seven weeks of days. |
|
3 I ate no dainty food, neither meat nor wine entered into my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till fully three times seven weeks of days were fulfilled. |
|
4 On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river Euphrates. |
|
5 I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with glory and majesty. |
|
6 His appearance was peculiar, and there is nothing like it; and his face as the appearance of lightning and his eyes as lamps of fire and his arms and his feet like the color of burnished brass and the sound of his words like the sound of many armies. |
|
7 And I, Daniel, alone saw this vision; for the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great fear fell upon them, so they fled because of the fear. |
|
8 Wherefore I was left alone and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me; and my heart trembled, and there was no strength in me. |
|
9 And when I heard the sound of his words, I fell down upon my face on the ground; |
|
10 And behold, a hand touched me and set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. |
|
11 And he said to me, Arise, O Daniel, O man greatly beloved; understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright; for now I have been sent to you. And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. |
|
12 Then he said to me. Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that you did set your heart to comprehend so that you might stand before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come in response to your words. |
|
13 The ruler of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; but 1o, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there against the wishes of the ruler of Persia. |
|
14 Now I have come to let you know what shall befall your people in the latter days; for yet the vision is for the end of the days appointed. |
|
15 And when he had spoken these words to me, I set my face towards the ground and was speechless. |
|
16 And behold, one resembling a man touched my lips; then I opened my mouth and spoke and said to him who stood before me, O my LORD, by the vision my heart trembled and I was unable to rise. |
|
17 For how can the servant of my lord talk with this my lord? For, behold, there is no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. |
|
18 Then again the one whose appearance was like that of a man touched me and strengthened me, |
|
19 And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not; peace be to you; have courage, be strong. And when he had spoken to me, I was strengthened and said, Let my lord speak; for I have been strengthened. |
|
20 Then he said to me, Do you know why I have come to you? And now I will return to fight with the ruler of Persia; and when I went out, lo, the ruler of Greece came. |
|
21 But I will show you that which is noted in the scripture of truth; and there is none to help me in these things but Michael your prince and myself. |

2 In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three times seven weeks of days. |
|
3 Лю́бої стра́ви я не їв, а м'ясо й вино не вхо́дило до моїх уст, і нама́щуватися — не нама́щувався я аж до ви́повнення цих трьох тижнів ча́су. |
3 I ate no dainty food, neither meat nor wine entered into my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till fully three times seven weeks of days were fulfilled. |

4 А двадцятого й четвертого дня першого місяця та був я при великій річці, — це Хідде́кел. |
4 On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river Euphrates. |

5 І звів я свої очі та й побачив, аж ось один чоловік, одя́гнений у льняну́ одіж, а сте́гна його опере́зані золотом з Уфазу. |

7 А я, Даниїл, сам бачив це виді́ння, а люди, що були ра́зом зо мною, не бачили цього видіння, але велике тремті́ння спало на них, і вони повтікали в укриття́. |
7 And I, Daniel, alone saw this vision; for the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great fear fell upon them, so they fled because of the fear. |
|
8 А я зостався сам, і бачив це велике виді́ння, — і не зоста́лося в мені сили, а краса́ обличчя мого змінилася й зни́щилася, і я не заде́ржав у собі сили. |
8 Wherefore I was left alone and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me; and my heart trembled, and there was no strength in me. |
|
9 І почув я голос його слів. А як почув я голос його слів, то я зомлів, і припав своїм обличчям до землі. |
9 And when I heard the sound of his words, I fell down upon my face on the ground; |
|
10 І ось рука доторкну́лася до мене, і звела́ мене на коліна мої та на долоні моїх рук. |
10 And behold, a hand touched me and set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. |
|
11 І сказав він до мене: „Даниїле, му́жу любий, зрозумій ті слова́, що я скажу́ тобі, і стань на своєму місці, бо тепер я по́сланий до тебе!“ А коли він говорив зо мною це слово, устав я й тремтів. |
11 And he said to me, Arise, O Daniel, O man greatly beloved; understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright; for now I have been sent to you. And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. |

12 А він промовив до мене: „Не бійся, Даниїле, бо від першого дня, коли ти дав своє серце, щоб зрозуміти видіння, і щоб упокори́тися перед лицем твого Бога, були почуті слова́ твої, і я прийшов ради твоїх слів. |
12 Then he said to me. Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that you did set your heart to comprehend so that you might stand before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come in response to your words. |
|
13 Але князь перського царства стояв проти мене двадцять і один день, і ось Михаїл, один із перших начальників, прийшов допомогти мені, а я позоставив його там при начальниках перських царів. |
13 The ruler of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; but 1o, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there against the wishes of the ruler of Persia. |

14 І прийшов я, щоб ти зрозумів, що станеться твоєму наро́дові в кінці днів, бо це видіння ще на наступні дні“. |
14 Now I have come to let you know what shall befall your people in the latter days; for yet the vision is for the end of the days appointed. |
|
15 А коли він говорив зо мною оці слова, я схилив своє обличчя до землі, і занімів. |
15 And when he had spoken these words to me, I set my face towards the ground and was speechless. |
|
16 І ось хтось, як подоба до лю́дських синів, доторкнувся до губ моїх, і я відкрив свої уста, і говорив та й сказав тому, хто стояв передо мною: „Мій пане, у цьому видінні оберну́лися на мене бо́лі мої, і я не заде́ржав сили в собі. |
16 And behold, one resembling a man touched my lips; then I opened my mouth and spoke and said to him who stood before me, O my LORD, by the vision my heart trembled and I was unable to rise. |
|
17 І як може цей раб мого пана говорити з оцим моїм паном, коли в мені тепер нема сили, і не залишилося й духу?“ |
17 For how can the servant of my lord talk with this my lord? For, behold, there is no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. |
|
18 І знов доторкнувся до мене хтось, як вид люди́ни, і зміцни́в мене, |
18 Then again the one whose appearance was like that of a man touched me and strengthened me, |
|
19 та й сказав: „Не бійся, любий му́жу, — мир тобі! Будь міцни́й і будь си́льний!“ А коли він говорив зо мною, я зміцни́вся й сказав: „Нехай говорить мій пан, бо я зміцни́вся!“ |
19 And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not; peace be to you; have courage, be strong. And when he had spoken to me, I was strengthened and said, Let my lord speak; for I have been strengthened. |
|
20 І він сказав: „Чи ти знаєш, чого я до тебе прийшов? Та тепер я верта́юсь, щоб воювати з пе́рським кня́зем, а коли ви́йду, то ось при́йде грецький князь. |
20 Then he said to me, Do you know why I have come to you? And now I will return to fight with the ruler of Persia; and when I went out, lo, the ruler of Greece came. |
|
21 Але́ об'являю тобі записане в книзі правди. І немає ніко́го, хто зміцняв би мене проти них, окрім вашого кня́зя Михаїла. |
21 But I will show you that which is noted in the scripture of truth; and there is none to help me in these things but Michael your prince and myself. |
