Глава 9

1 Иисус призвал к Себе двенадцать апостолов и дал им власть и силу изгонять всяких бесов и исцелять недуги.

2 Он послал их в мир, чтобы они провозглашали Царство Божье и исцеляли больных.

3 Он сказал им: «Не берите с собой в дорогу ничего: ни посох, ни суму, ни хлеба, ни денег; возьмите только ту одежду, что на вас.

4 Если войдёте в чей-нибудь дом, оставайтесь там до тех пор, пока не придёт время уходить.

5 И если жители какого-нибудь города не окажут вам гостеприимства, то, покидая его, отряхните пыль со своих ног, чтобы это служило тем людям предупреждением».

6 И отправились они в путь по селениям, благовествуя и исцеляя больных людей повсюду.

7 Когда правитель Ирод услышал обо всём происходящем, он был озадачен, так как некоторые говорили, что Иоанн Креститель воскрес из мёртвых,

8 другие утверждали, что явился Илия, а третьи рассказывали, что воскрес один из древних пророков.

9 Тогда Ирод сказал: «Я лично приказал обезглавить Иоанна, так кто же Этот Человек, о Котором я слышу такие рассказы?» И он всё время пытался увидеть Его.

10 Когда апостолы возвратились к Иисусу, они рассказали Ему подробно обо всём, что сделали. Затем Он отправился вместе с учениками в Вифсаиду, чтобы побыть там с ними наедине.

11 Но множество народа узнало об этом и последовало за Ним, и Он приветствовал людей, и стал рассказывать им о Царстве Божьем, исцеляя тех, кто в том нуждался.

12 К концу дня двенадцать апостолов пришли к Нему и сказали: «Отошли этих людей, вели им, чтобы они отправились в окрестные селения и деревни и нашли себе там приют на ночь и какую-нибудь еду, так как здесь место пустынное».

13 Но Он сказал им: «Вы сами дайте им что-нибудь поесть!» Они же ответили: «Всё, что у нас есть, это пять хлебов и две рыбины. Ты хочешь, чтобы мы пошли и купили еду для всех этих людей?»

14 Там было около пяти тысяч человек. Но Он попросил апостолов: «Скажите этим людям, чтобы они расселись по группам, человек по пятьдесят в каждой».

15 Они так и сделали, и все, кто были там, сели на землю.

16 Тогда Иисус взял пять хлебов и две рыбины и, обратив Свой взор к небу, возблагодарил Бога за пищу, а потом разделил еду и стал передавать её ученикам, сказав, чтобы те раздавали народу.

17 Все ели и насытились, а остатки собрали в корзины, и набралось двенадцать полных корзин.

18 Однажды, когда Иисус молился в уединении и ученики были с Ним, Он спросил их: «Что говорит народ о том, кто Я Такой?»

19 В ответ они сказали: «Одни говорят, что Ты — Иоанн Креститель, другие — что Илия, а третьи — что Ты один из древних пророков, вернувшихся в мир».

20 Он же спросил их: «А вы что думаете, кто Я Такой?» Пётр ответил Ему: «Христос Божий».

21 Но Иисус предупредил их, чтобы они никому не говорили об этом.

22 Потом Иисус сказал: «Сын Человеческий должен выстрадать многое. Он будет отвергнут старейшинами, главными священниками и законниками. Его предадут смерти, но на третий день Он воскреснет».

23 Затем Иисус сказал всем: «Если кто-нибудь хочет идти за Мной, пусть отречётся от себя, пусть изо дня в день несёт свой крест и следует за Мной.

24 Кто хочет сохранить свою жизнь, тот её потеряет, но кто потеряет её ради Меня, тот её сохранит.

25 Какая польза человеку, если он приобретёт весь мир, а сам погибнет и потеряет всё?

26 Потому что тот, кто постыдится Меня и Моих слов, того постыдится Сын Человеческий, когда придёт во славе Своей, Отца и святых Ангелов.

27 Правду вам говорю, что некоторые из стоящих здесь людей увидят Царство Божье ещё до своей смерти».

28 Дней через восемь после того как Иисус сказал это, Он отправился на гору, чтобы помолиться, взяв с собой Петра, Иоанна и Иакова.

29 И когда Он молился, Его лицо преобразилось, а одежда стала ослепительно белой.

30 Затем появились двое и стали говорить с Ним. Это были Моисей и Илия.

31 Вокруг них тоже было яркое сияние. Они говорили о будущей смерти Иисуса в Иерусалиме, через которую Он должен будет пройти.

32 Пётр и те, кто были с ним, впали в глубокий сон. Проснувшись, они увидели Иисуса во славе, а также двух мужчин, стоявших с Ним.

33 И когда те уходили от Иисуса, Пётр сказал Ему, сам не понимая, что говорит: «Господи, хорошо, что мы здесь. Если хочешь, мы поставим три шатра: один для Тебя, один для Моисея и один для Илии».

34 Пока Он говорил это, появилось облако и закрыло их, и они испугались, когда вошли в облако.

35 А голос из облака провозгласил: «Вот Сын Мой избранный. Повинуйтесь Ему!»

36 Голос умолк, и Иисус остался один. Ученики Иисуса хранили молчание и никому не говорили в те дни о том, что видели.

37 На следующий день, когда они сошли с горы, огромная толпа встречала Иисуса.

38 И вот кто-то закричал: «Учитель, умоляю Тебя, приди и взгляни на моего сына, так как это мой единственный ребёнок.

39 Его одолевает нечистый дух, тогда ребёнок внезапно начинает кричать, его сводит судорогой и изо рта у него идёт пена. Он мучает мальчика неотступно и почти никогда не оставляет его в покое.

40 Я просил Твоих учеников изгнать его, но они не смогли».

41 В ответ Иисус сказал: «О род неверный и развращённый! Сколько Мне ещё быть с вами и терпеть вас? Приведи сюда своего сына».

42 Когда мальчик шёл, бес поверг его на землю и свёл судорогой. Но Иисус запретил это нечистому духу, исцелил мальчика и вернул его отцу.

43 И все люди были поражены Божьим величием. Пока народ дивился делам Иисуса, Он сказал ученикам:

44 «Внимательно послушайте то, что Я сейчас скажу вам: Сын Человеческий вскоре будет предан в руки людей».

45 Но они не поняли, так как смысл сказанного был скрыт от них для того, чтобы они не смогли понять, а расспросить Иисуса об этом побоялись.

46 Ученики Иисуса начали спорить между собой, кто из них превосходит всех остальных в величии.

47 Но Иисус, зная их мысли, взял маленького ребёнка, поставил возле Себя

48 и сказал: «Кто принимает такого маленького ребёнка во имя Моё, тот принимает Меня, а кто принимает Меня, тот принимает и Пославшего Меня. Потому что именно тот из вас, кто самый покорный, тот и превосходит всех в величии».

49 Иоанн ответил: «Господи, мы видели человека, который Твоим именем изгонял бесов, и мы остановили его, потому что он не с нами».

50 Но Иисус сказал ему: «Не останавливайте его, потому что, кто не против вас, тот за вас».

51 Когда приблизились дни вознесения Иисуса, Он твёрдо решил идти в Иерусалим.

52 Тогда же Он послал перед Собой вестников, и они отправились в одно из самаритянских селений, чтобы приготовить всё для Него.

53 Но там не приняли Иисуса, так как Он направлялся в Иерусалим.

54 Видя это, Его ученики Иаков и Иоанн сказали: «Господи! Хочешь, чтобы мы приказали огню сойти с неба и истребить их, [как сделал Илия]? »

55 Но, повернувшись к ним, Иисус запретил им. [«Затем Иисус сказал: „Вы не знаете, какому духу принадлежите.

60 Но Иисус сказал ему: «Пусть мёртвые хоронят своих мёртвых. Ты же, иди и возвещай Царство Божье».

61 И другой также сказал: «Я пойду за Тобой, Господи, но прежде позволь мне проститься с домашними».

62 Но Иисус ответил: «Тот, кто, начав распахивать поле, оглядывается назад, не годен для Царства Божьего».

Chapter 9

1 THEN Jesus called his twelve, and gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to cure diseases.

2 And he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

3 And he said to them, Do not take anything for the journey, neither a staff, nor a bag, nor bread, nor money; nor have two shirts.

4 And into whatever house you enter, remain there, and depart from thence.

5 And whoever will not welcome you, when you leave that city, shake off even the sand from your feet for a testimony to them.

6 And the apostles went out, and travelled in villages and cities, preaching the gospel, and healing everywhere.

7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by his hand; and he was amazed, because some men said that John has risen from the dead.

8 But others, that Elijah has appeared; and others, that one of the old prophets has risen.

9 So Herod said, I have beheaded John; but who is this one concerning whom I hear these things? And he wanted to see him.

10 When the apostles returned, they told Jesus everything which they had done. And he took them all alone to a lonely place in Bethsaida.

11 When the people found it out, they went after him; and he received them, and spoke to them concerning the kingdom of God, and he healed those who were in need of healing.

12 And when the day began to wane, his disciples came up and said to him, Dismiss the people, that they may go to the villages around us and to the farms, to lodge there, and find food for themselves; because we are in a lonely place.

13 Jesus said to them, You give them to eat. But they said, We do not have more than five loaves of bread and two fish; unless we go and buy food for all this people;

14 For there were about five thousand men. Jesus said to them, Make them sit down in groups, fifty men in each group.

15 The disciples did so, and made them all sit down.

16 And Jesus took the five loaves of bread and the two fish, and looked up to heaven, and he blessed them, and broke and gave them to his disciples, to set before the people.

17 And they all ate and were filled; and they took up fragments of what was left over, twelve baskets.

18 While he prayed by himself, and his disciples were with him, he asked them and said, What do the people say concerning me that I am?

19 They answered and said to him, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others that one of the old prophets has risen.

20 He said to them, But you, what do you say that I am? Simon answered and said, The Messiah (the anointed one of God).

21 But he cautioned them, and warned them not to say this to anyone.

22 And he said to them, The Son of man must suffer a great many things, and he will be rejected by the elders and the high priests and the scribes, and they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise.

23 Then he said in the presence of everyone, He who wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross every day and follow me.

24 For he who wishes to save his life, shall lose it; but he who loses his life for my sake, he shall save it.

25 For how can a man be benefited, if he gain the whole world, but lose his own soul, or even weakens it?

26 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of man will be ashamed of him, when he comes with the glory of his Father, accompanied by his holy angels.

27 I tell you the truth, that there are men who stand here, who will not taste death, until they see the kingdom of God.

28 And it came to pass about eight days after these words, Jesus took Simon, and James and John, and went up into a mountain to pray.

29 And while he prayed, the appearance of his face was changed, and his clothes became white and dazzling.

30 And behold, two men were speaking with him, who were Moses and Elijah;

31 Who appeared in glory, and spoke concerning his departure which was to end at Jerusalem.

32 And Simon and those who were with him were heavy with sleep; and when they awoke they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him.

33 And when they began to leave him, Simon said to Jesus, Teacher, it is better for us to remain here; and let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah; but he did not know what he was saying.

34 And when he had said these things, there came a cloud and overshadowed them; and they were frightened when they saw Moses and Elijah enter into the cloud.

35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son; hear him.

36 And when the voice was heard, they found Jesus alone. And they kept silent, and in those days they did not tell any man what they saw.

37 And it came to pass the next day, as they came down from the mountain, they were met by many people.

38 And one of the men of that crowd cried out and said, O teacher, I beg you to have mercy on me. I have an only son,

39 And a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out, and gnashes his teeth and foams; and it hardly leaves him when it has tormented him.

40 And I besought your disciples to cast it out; and they could not.

41 Jesus answered and said, O crooked and faithless generation, how long will I be with you, and preach to you? Bring your son here.

42 And as he brought him, the demon attacked him and convulsed him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy, and gave him to his father.

43 And they were all amazed at the greatness of God. And while every man wondered at everything which Jesus did, he said to his disciples,

44 Treasure these words in your ears; for the Son of man will be delivered into the hands of men.

45 But they did not understand this word, because it was hidden from them so that they might not know it; and they were afraid to ask him concerning this word.

46 Then a reasoning entered into their minds, as to who was the greatest among them.

47 But Jesus knew the reasoning of their heart, and he took a boy and made him stand by him.

48 And he said to them, Everyone who receives a little boy like this one in my name, receives me; and he who receives me receives him who sent me; for whoever is least among you, let him be great.

49 And John answered and said, Teacher, we saw a man casting out demons in your name; and we forbad him, because he did not come with us, as your follower.

50 Jesus said to them, Do not forbid; for he who is not against you is for you.

51 And it happened, when the days to go up on his journey were fulfilled, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.

52 So he sent messengers ahead of him; and they went away and entered into a Samaritan village, to prepare for him.

53 But they did not receive him, because his face was set to go straight to Jerusalem.

54 When his disciples James and John saw it, they said to him, Our Lord, would you be willing that we command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?

55 He turned and rebuked them and said, You do not know of what spirit you are.

56 For the Son of man did not come to destroy lives, but to save. And they went to another village.

57 And while they were on the journey, a man said to him, My Lord, I will follow you wherever you go.

58 Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the fowl of the sky a shelter; but the Son of man has no place even to lay his head.

59 He said to another, Follow me; but he said to him, My Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.

60 Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their own dead; but you go and preach the kingdom of God.

61 Another one said to him, I will follow you, my Lord; but permit me first to entrust my household to some one, and then come.

62 Jesus said to him, No man who puts his hand on the plough handle, and looks back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by his hand; and he was amazed, because some men said that John has risen from the dead.

8 But others, that Elijah has appeared; and others, that one of the old prophets has risen.

9 Тогда Ирод сказал: «Я лично приказал обезглавить Иоанна, так кто же Этот Человек, о Котором я слышу такие рассказы?» И он всё время пытался увидеть Его.

9 So Herod said, I have beheaded John; but who is this one concerning whom I hear these things? And he wanted to see him.

10 When the apostles returned, they told Jesus everything which they had done. And he took them all alone to a lonely place in Bethsaida.

11 Но множество народа узнало об этом и последовало за Ним, и Он приветствовал людей, и стал рассказывать им о Царстве Божьем, исцеляя тех, кто в том нуждался.

11 When the people found it out, they went after him; and he received them, and spoke to them concerning the kingdom of God, and he healed those who were in need of healing.

12 К концу дня двенадцать апостолов пришли к Нему и сказали: «Отошли этих людей, вели им, чтобы они отправились в окрестные селения и деревни и нашли себе там приют на ночь и какую-нибудь еду, так как здесь место пустынное».

12 And when the day began to wane, his disciples came up and said to him, Dismiss the people, that they may go to the villages around us and to the farms, to lodge there, and find food for themselves; because we are in a lonely place.

13 Но Он сказал им: «Вы сами дайте им что-нибудь поесть!» Они же ответили: «Всё, что у нас есть, это пять хлебов и две рыбины. Ты хочешь, чтобы мы пошли и купили еду для всех этих людей?»

13 Jesus said to them, You give them to eat. But they said, We do not have more than five loaves of bread and two fish; unless we go and buy food for all this people;

14 Там было около пяти тысяч человек. Но Он попросил апостолов: «Скажите этим людям, чтобы они расселись по группам, человек по пятьдесят в каждой».

14 For there were about five thousand men. Jesus said to them, Make them sit down in groups, fifty men in each group.

15 Они так и сделали, и все, кто были там, сели на землю.

15 The disciples did so, and made them all sit down.

16 And Jesus took the five loaves of bread and the two fish, and looked up to heaven, and he blessed them, and broke and gave them to his disciples, to set before the people.

17 And they all ate and were filled; and they took up fragments of what was left over, twelve baskets.

18 Однажды, когда Иисус молился в уединении и ученики были с Ним, Он спросил их: «Что говорит народ о том, кто Я Такой?»

18 While he prayed by himself, and his disciples were with him, he asked them and said, What do the people say concerning me that I am?

19 В ответ они сказали: «Одни говорят, что Ты — Иоанн Креститель, другие — что Илия, а третьи — что Ты один из древних пророков, вернувшихся в мир».

19 They answered and said to him, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others that one of the old prophets has risen.

20 Он же спросил их: «А вы что думаете, кто Я Такой?» Пётр ответил Ему: «Христос Божий».

20 He said to them, But you, what do you say that I am? Simon answered and said, The Messiah (the anointed one of God).

21 Но Иисус предупредил их, чтобы они никому не говорили об этом.

21 But he cautioned them, and warned them not to say this to anyone.

22 Потом Иисус сказал: «Сын Человеческий должен выстрадать многое. Он будет отвергнут старейшинами, главными священниками и законниками. Его предадут смерти, но на третий день Он воскреснет».

22 And he said to them, The Son of man must suffer a great many things, and he will be rejected by the elders and the high priests and the scribes, and they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise.

23 Затем Иисус сказал всем: «Если кто-нибудь хочет идти за Мной, пусть отречётся от себя, пусть изо дня в день несёт свой крест и следует за Мной.

23 Then he said in the presence of everyone, He who wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross every day and follow me.

24 Кто хочет сохранить свою жизнь, тот её потеряет, но кто потеряет её ради Меня, тот её сохранит.

24 For he who wishes to save his life, shall lose it; but he who loses his life for my sake, he shall save it.

25 Какая польза человеку, если он приобретёт весь мир, а сам погибнет и потеряет всё?

25 For how can a man be benefited, if he gain the whole world, but lose his own soul, or even weakens it?

26 Потому что тот, кто постыдится Меня и Моих слов, того постыдится Сын Человеческий, когда придёт во славе Своей, Отца и святых Ангелов.

37 And it came to pass the next day, as they came down from the mountain, they were met by many people.

38 И вот кто-то закричал: «Учитель, умоляю Тебя, приди и взгляни на моего сына, так как это мой единственный ребёнок.

38 And one of the men of that crowd cried out and said, O teacher, I beg you to have mercy on me. I have an only son,

39 Его одолевает нечистый дух, тогда ребёнок внезапно начинает кричать, его сводит судорогой и изо рта у него идёт пена. Он мучает мальчика неотступно и почти никогда не оставляет его в покое.

39 And a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out, and gnashes his teeth and foams; and it hardly leaves him when it has tormented him.

40 Я просил Твоих учеников изгнать его, но они не смогли».

40 And I besought your disciples to cast it out; and they could not.

41 В ответ Иисус сказал: «О род неверный и развращённый! Сколько Мне ещё быть с вами и терпеть вас? Приведи сюда своего сына».

41 Jesus answered and said, O crooked and faithless generation, how long will I be with you, and preach to you? Bring your son here.

42 Когда мальчик шёл, бес поверг его на землю и свёл судорогой. Но Иисус запретил это нечистому духу, исцелил мальчика и вернул его отцу.

42 And as he brought him, the demon attacked him and convulsed him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy, and gave him to his father.

43 И все люди были поражены Божьим величием. Пока народ дивился делам Иисуса, Он сказал ученикам:

43 And they were all amazed at the greatness of God. And while every man wondered at everything which Jesus did, he said to his disciples,

44 «Внимательно послушайте то, что Я сейчас скажу вам: Сын Человеческий вскоре будет предан в руки людей».

44 Treasure these words in your ears; for the Son of man will be delivered into the hands of men.

45 Но они не поняли, так как смысл сказанного был скрыт от них для того, чтобы они не смогли понять, а расспросить Иисуса об этом побоялись.

45 But they did not understand this word, because it was hidden from them so that they might not know it; and they were afraid to ask him concerning this word.

46 Ученики Иисуса начали спорить между собой, кто из них превосходит всех остальных в величии.

46 Then a reasoning entered into their minds, as to who was the greatest among them.

47 Но Иисус, зная их мысли, взял маленького ребёнка, поставил возле Себя

47 But Jesus knew the reasoning of their heart, and he took a boy and made him stand by him.

48 и сказал: «Кто принимает такого маленького ребёнка во имя Моё, тот принимает Меня, а кто принимает Меня, тот принимает и Пославшего Меня. Потому что именно тот из вас, кто самый покорный, тот и превосходит всех в величии».

48 And he said to them, Everyone who receives a little boy like this one in my name, receives me; and he who receives me receives him who sent me; for whoever is least among you, let him be great.

49 Иоанн ответил: «Господи, мы видели человека, который Твоим именем изгонял бесов, и мы остановили его, потому что он не с нами».

49 And John answered and said, Teacher, we saw a man casting out demons in your name; and we forbad him, because he did not come with us, as your follower.

50 Но Иисус сказал ему: «Не останавливайте его, потому что, кто не против вас, тот за вас».

50 Jesus said to them, Do not forbid; for he who is not against you is for you.

51 Когда приблизились дни вознесения Иисуса, Он твёрдо решил идти в Иерусалим.

51 And it happened, when the days to go up on his journey were fulfilled, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.

52 Тогда же Он послал перед Собой вестников, и они отправились в одно из самаритянских селений, чтобы приготовить всё для Него.

52 So he sent messengers ahead of him; and they went away and entered into a Samaritan village, to prepare for him.

53 Но там не приняли Иисуса, так как Он направлялся в Иерусалим.

53 But they did not receive him, because his face was set to go straight to Jerusalem.

54 Видя это, Его ученики Иаков и Иоанн сказали: «Господи! Хочешь, чтобы мы приказали огню сойти с неба и истребить их, [как сделал Илия]? »

54 When his disciples James and John saw it, they said to him, Our Lord, would you be willing that we command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?

55 Но, повернувшись к ним, Иисус запретил им. [«Затем Иисус сказал: „Вы не знаете, какому духу принадлежите.

55 He turned and rebuked them and said, You do not know of what spirit you are.

56 Сын Человеческий пришёл не для того, чтобы уничтожить души людей, а чтобы их спасти”»]. Затем они отправились в другое селение.

56 For the Son of man did not come to destroy lives, but to save. And they went to another village.

57 Когда они шли по дороге, кто-то сказал Иисусу: «Я буду следовать за Тобой, куда бы Ты ни шёл».

57 And while they were on the journey, a man said to him, My Lord, I will follow you wherever you go.

58 Иисус ответил ему: «У лис есть норы, у небесных птиц есть гнёзда, а Сыну Человеческому негде даже головы приклонить».

58 Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the fowl of the sky a shelter; but the Son of man has no place even to lay his head.

59 Другому человеку Иисус сказал: «Следуй за Мной». Но тот ответил: «Позволь мне прежде пойти и похоронить моего отца».

59 He said to another, Follow me; but he said to him, My Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.

60 Но Иисус сказал ему: «Пусть мёртвые хоронят своих мёртвых. Ты же, иди и возвещай Царство Божье».

60 Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their own dead; but you go and preach the kingdom of God.

61 И другой также сказал: «Я пойду за Тобой, Господи, но прежде позволь мне проститься с домашними».

61 Another one said to him, I will follow you, my Lord; but permit me first to entrust my household to some one, and then come.

62 Но Иисус ответил: «Тот, кто, начав распахивать поле, оглядывается назад, не годен для Царства Божьего».

62 Jesus said to him, No man who puts his hand on the plough handle, and looks back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
