Глава 20

1 Когда беспорядки прекратились, Павел позвал к себе учеников и, обратившись к ним со словами ободрения, простился с ними и отправился в Македонию.

2 На своём пути он говорил о многом, что вселяло бодрость в верующих. Затем он пришёл в Грецию,

3 где пробыл три месяца. И как раз перед тем, как Павел собирался отплыть в Сирию, иудеи составили против него заговор, и поэтому он решил отправиться в Сирию, пройдя снова через Македонию.

4 Его сопровождали Сопатр из Верии, сын Пирра, Аристарх и Секунд из Фессалоник, Гаий из Дервы, Тимофей и двое из Азии, Тихик и Трофим.

5 Они отправились первыми и ждали нас в Троаде.

6 Мы же отплыли из Филипп после праздника Пресных Хлебов и пять дней спустя присоединились к ним в Троаде, где пробыли неделю.

7 В воскресение, когда мы собрались вместе, чтобы совершить вечерю Господнюю, Павел беседовал с нами. Намереваясь отплыть на следующий день, он говорил до полуночи.

8 В комнате наверху, где мы собрались, было много светильников.

9 Павел всё продолжал проповедь, а юноша по имени Евтих, сидевший на окне, понемногу стал засыпать. В конце концов сон одолел его, и он упал из окна третьего этажа. Когда его подняли, он был мёртв.

10 Павел спустился вниз, припал к нему и, обняв, сказал: «Не печальтесь! Он жив».

11 Поднявшись наверх, Павел разломил хлеб и поел и ещё долго говорил им до самого рассвета, а затем ушёл.

12 Между тем люди привели юношу домой живым и все утешились.

13 Мы отплыли на корабле в Асс, чтобы потом взять там на борт Павла. Он сам повелел нам сделать так, потому что намеревался идти туда пешком.

14 Когда он встретился с нами в Ассе, мы взяли его на корабль и отправились в Митилену.

15 Отплыв оттуда на следующий день, мы остановились неподалёку от Хиоса, на другой день пристали к Самосу, а днём позже прибыли в Милет.

16 Павел решил миновать Ефес, чтобы не задерживаться в Азии, так как спешил прибыть в Иерусалим по возможности до дня Пятидесятницы.

17 Из Милета Павел послал письмо в Ефес, в котором попросил старейшин церкви прийти к нему.

18 Когда они прибыли, Павел сказал им: «Вы знаете, как я жил на протяжении всего времени, что был с вами с первого дня моего прибытия в Азию.

19 Я служил Господу со всей смиренностью и слезами, пройдя через многие испытания, выпавшие на мою долю из-за злых намерений иудеев.

20 Я всё делал для вашего блага и проповедовал Благую Весть об Иисусе как всенародно, так и в ваших домах.

21 Иудеям и грекам в равной мере я свидетельствовал о покаянии, обращении к Богу и о вере в нашего Господа Иисуса.

22 И теперь, повинуясь велению Духа Святого, я иду в Иерусалим. Я не знаю, что ждёт меня там,

23 я только знаю, что в каждом городе Святой Дух предостерегает меня, говоря, что меня ожидают испытания и темница.

24 Но моя жизнь не имеет для меня никакой цены! Всё, что я хочу — это закончить служение, принятое мной от Господа Иисуса, и принести людям Благую Весть о благодати Божьей.

25 Теперь я знаю, что ни один из вас, среди кого я провозглашал о Царстве Божьем, больше не увидит меня.

26 Поэтому я объявляю вам сегодня, что не буду в ответе, если кто-нибудь из вас не будет спасён,

27 потому что я не колеблясь проповедовал вам волю Божью, ничего не скрывая.

28 Будьте же бдительны и осторожны по отношению к себе и к стаду, над которым Святой Дух поставил вас пастырями. Заботьтесь о церкви Божьей, которую Он искупил Своей кровью.

29 Я знаю, что, когда уйду от вас, придут свирепые волки и не пощадят стада.

30 Даже среди вас появятся люди, извращающие правду ради того, чтобы верующие следовали за ними.

31 Так будьте же бдительны. Помните, что на протяжении трёх лет я день и ночь непрестанно предупреждал вас, моля каждого со слезами.

32 Теперь же я вверяю вас Богу и слову Его благодати, которое может укрепить вас и дать вам все те благословения, которыми Он одарил всех святых людей Божьих.

33 Когда я был с вами, то никогда не пожелал ни денег, ни одежды, принадлежащих другим.

34 Вы сами знаете, что я всегда работал, обеспечивая всем необходимым себя, а также тех, кто был со мной.

35 По мере своих сил я показал вам, что так тяжело трудясь, мы должны помогать слабым. Я учил вас не забывать слова Господа Иисуса, Который говорил: „Больше счастья в том, чтобы давать, чем в том, чтобы брать”».

36 Сказав это, Павел преклонил колени вместе со всеми и помолился.

37 Все плакали и, обнимая, целовали его,

38 сильно опечаленные, а особенно его словами: «Больше не увидите меня». Затем они проводили его к кораблю.

Chapter 20

1 AND after the tumult had ceased, Paul called to him the disciples and comforted them and kissed them and then departed and went to Mac-e-do'ni-a.

2 And when he had traveled through those countries and had comforted them with many words, he came to Greece.

3 There he remained three months. But the Jews laid a plot against him, just as he was about to sail for Syria, so he decided to return to Mac-e-do'ni-a.

4 And there accompanied him, as far as Asia Minor, Sop'a-ter of the city of Be-re'a and Ar-is-tar'chus and Se-cun'dus of Thes-sa-loni'ca and Ga'ius of the city of Der'be and Ti-mo'the-us of Ly'stra, and from Asia Minor Tych'i-cus and Troph'i-mus.

5 These men went before us, and waited for us at Tro'as.

6 But we departed from the Mac-e-do'ni-an city of Phi-lip'pi, after the days of unleavened bread, and sailed and arrived at Tro'as in five days, where we staved seven days;

7 And on the first day of the week, while the disciples were assembled to break bread, Paul preached to them, and because he was ready to leave the next day, he prolonged his speech until midnight.

8 Now there was a great glow of light from the torches in the upper chamber, where we were gathered together.

9 And a young man named Eu'ty-chus was sitting at the floor opening above and listening, and as Paul prolonged his speech, the youth fell into a deep sleep, and while asleep he fell down from the third loft, and was taken up as dead.

10 And Paul went down and bent over him and embraced him and said, Do not be excited for he still lives.

11 And when he was come up again, and had broken bread and eaten, he continued to speak till daybreak; then he departed to journey by land.

12 And they carried away the young man alive, and rejoiced over him exceedingly.

13 But we went on board the ship, and sailed to the port of As'sos, where we were to take in Paul: as he had commanded us when he left to travel by land.

14 When we had welcomed him at As'sos, we took him on board and came to Mit-yle'ne.

15 And we sailed thence the next day towards the island of Chi'os; and the following day we arrived at Sa'mos, and tarried at Tro-gyl'li-um; and the next day we came to Mi-le'tus.

16 For Paul had determined not to stop at Eph'e-sus, fearing he might be delayed there; because he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to celebrate the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem.

17 And from Mi-le'tus he sent and called the elders of the church of Eph'e-sus.

18 And when they had come to him, he said to them, You know from the very first day that I entered Asia Minor, how I have been with you always,

19 Serving God with great humility and with tears and amid the trials which were brought upon me by conspiracies of the Jews.

20 And yet I did not neglect to preach to you about those things which were good for your souls, and I taught in the streets and from house to house.

21 Thus testifying both to the Jews and to the Syr'i-ans, about repentance toward God and faith in our LORD Jesus Christ.

22 And now I am on my way to Jerusalem, bound in the spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there:

23 Save that in every city the Holy Spirit testifies to me, saying that bonds and afflictions await me.

24 But to me my life is nothing; I am not afraid. I desire only that I may finish my course with joy and finish the ministry, which I have received from our LORD Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

25 And now I know that you, among whom I have traveled and preached the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

26 Therefore, I testify to you this very day that I am innocent of the blood of all.

27 For I have never shunned to declare to you, all the will of God.

28 Take heed therefore to yourselves and to all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers, to feed the church of Christ which he has purchased with his blood.

29 For I know this, that after I have departed, fierce wolves will attack you, which will not spare the flock.

30 Also from among yourselves, men shall arise, speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them.

31 Therefore watch, and remember, that for three years, night and day, I did not cease to teach every one of you with tears.

32 And now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all the saints.

33 I have never coveted silver, or gold, or apparel.

34 Indeed you yourselves know, that my own hands have provided for my needs and for those who have been with me.

35 I have showed you all things, how that one must work hard, and be mindful of the weak, and remember the words of our LORD Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

36 And when he had thus spoken, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

37 And they all wept bitterly, and they embraced him and kissed him;

38 But they were most distressed because of the words he spoke, that they would not see his face again. And they accompanied him to the ship.

1 AND after the tumult had ceased, Paul called to him the disciples and comforted them and kissed them and then departed and went to Mac-e-do'ni-a.

2 На своём пути он говорил о многом, что вселяло бодрость в верующих. Затем он пришёл в Грецию,

2 And when he had traveled through those countries and had comforted them with many words, he came to Greece.

3 где пробыл три месяца. И как раз перед тем, как Павел собирался отплыть в Сирию, иудеи составили против него заговор, и поэтому он решил отправиться в Сирию, пройдя снова через Македонию.

3 There he remained three months. But the Jews laid a plot against him, just as he was about to sail for Syria, so he decided to return to Mac-e-do'ni-a.

4 Его сопровождали Сопатр из Верии, сын Пирра, Аристарх и Секунд из Фессалоник, Гаий из Дервы, Тимофей и двое из Азии, Тихик и Трофим.

4 And there accompanied him, as far as Asia Minor, Sop'a-ter of the city of Be-re'a and Ar-is-tar'chus and Se-cun'dus of Thes-sa-loni'ca and Ga'ius of the city of Der'be and Ti-mo'the-us of Ly'stra, and from Asia Minor Tych'i-cus and Troph'i-mus.

5 Они отправились первыми и ждали нас в Троаде.

5 These men went before us, and waited for us at Tro'as.

6 Мы же отплыли из Филипп после праздника Пресных Хлебов и пять дней спустя присоединились к ним в Троаде, где пробыли неделю.

6 But we departed from the Mac-e-do'ni-an city of Phi-lip'pi, after the days of unleavened bread, and sailed and arrived at Tro'as in five days, where we staved seven days;

7 В воскресение, когда мы собрались вместе, чтобы совершить вечерю Господнюю, Павел беседовал с нами. Намереваясь отплыть на следующий день, он говорил до полуночи.

7 And on the first day of the week, while the disciples were assembled to break bread, Paul preached to them, and because he was ready to leave the next day, he prolonged his speech until midnight.

8 В комнате наверху, где мы собрались, было много светильников.

8 Now there was a great glow of light from the torches in the upper chamber, where we were gathered together.

9 Павел всё продолжал проповедь, а юноша по имени Евтих, сидевший на окне, понемногу стал засыпать. В конце концов сон одолел его, и он упал из окна третьего этажа. Когда его подняли, он был мёртв.

9 And a young man named Eu'ty-chus was sitting at the floor opening above and listening, and as Paul prolonged his speech, the youth fell into a deep sleep, and while asleep he fell down from the third loft, and was taken up as dead.

10 Павел спустился вниз, припал к нему и, обняв, сказал: «Не печальтесь! Он жив».

10 And Paul went down and bent over him and embraced him and said, Do not be excited for he still lives.

11 Поднявшись наверх, Павел разломил хлеб и поел и ещё долго говорил им до самого рассвета, а затем ушёл.

11 And when he was come up again, and had broken bread and eaten, he continued to speak till daybreak; then he departed to journey by land.

12 Между тем люди привели юношу домой живым и все утешились.

12 And they carried away the young man alive, and rejoiced over him exceedingly.

13 Мы отплыли на корабле в Асс, чтобы потом взять там на борт Павла. Он сам повелел нам сделать так, потому что намеревался идти туда пешком.

13 But we went on board the ship, and sailed to the port of As'sos, where we were to take in Paul: as he had commanded us when he left to travel by land.

14 Когда он встретился с нами в Ассе, мы взяли его на корабль и отправились в Митилену.

14 When we had welcomed him at As'sos, we took him on board and came to Mit-yle'ne.

15 Отплыв оттуда на следующий день, мы остановились неподалёку от Хиоса, на другой день пристали к Самосу, а днём позже прибыли в Милет.

15 And we sailed thence the next day towards the island of Chi'os; and the following day we arrived at Sa'mos, and tarried at Tro-gyl'li-um; and the next day we came to Mi-le'tus.

16 Павел решил миновать Ефес, чтобы не задерживаться в Азии, так как спешил прибыть в Иерусалим по возможности до дня Пятидесятницы.

16 For Paul had determined not to stop at Eph'e-sus, fearing he might be delayed there; because he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to celebrate the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem.

17 Из Милета Павел послал письмо в Ефес, в котором попросил старейшин церкви прийти к нему.

17 And from Mi-le'tus he sent and called the elders of the church of Eph'e-sus.

18 Когда они прибыли, Павел сказал им: «Вы знаете, как я жил на протяжении всего времени, что был с вами с первого дня моего прибытия в Азию.

18 And when they had come to him, he said to them, You know from the very first day that I entered Asia Minor, how I have been with you always,

19 Я служил Господу со всей смиренностью и слезами, пройдя через многие испытания, выпавшие на мою долю из-за злых намерений иудеев.

19 Serving God with great humility and with tears and amid the trials which were brought upon me by conspiracies of the Jews.

20 Я всё делал для вашего блага и проповедовал Благую Весть об Иисусе как всенародно, так и в ваших домах.

20 And yet I did not neglect to preach to you about those things which were good for your souls, and I taught in the streets and from house to house.

21 Иудеям и грекам в равной мере я свидетельствовал о покаянии, обращении к Богу и о вере в нашего Господа Иисуса.

21 Thus testifying both to the Jews and to the Syr'i-ans, about repentance toward God and faith in our LORD Jesus Christ.

22 И теперь, повинуясь велению Духа Святого, я иду в Иерусалим. Я не знаю, что ждёт меня там,

22 And now I am on my way to Jerusalem, bound in the spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there:

23 я только знаю, что в каждом городе Святой Дух предостерегает меня, говоря, что меня ожидают испытания и темница.

23 Save that in every city the Holy Spirit testifies to me, saying that bonds and afflictions await me.

24 Но моя жизнь не имеет для меня никакой цены! Всё, что я хочу — это закончить служение, принятое мной от Господа Иисуса, и принести людям Благую Весть о благодати Божьей.

31 Так будьте же бдительны. Помните, что на протяжении трёх лет я день и ночь непрестанно предупреждал вас, моля каждого со слезами.

32 Теперь же я вверяю вас Богу и слову Его благодати, которое может укрепить вас и дать вам все те благословения, которыми Он одарил всех святых людей Божьих.

32 And now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all the saints.

33 Когда я был с вами, то никогда не пожелал ни денег, ни одежды, принадлежащих другим.

33 I have never coveted silver, or gold, or apparel.

34 Вы сами знаете, что я всегда работал, обеспечивая всем необходимым себя, а также тех, кто был со мной.

34 Indeed you yourselves know, that my own hands have provided for my needs and for those who have been with me.

35 По мере своих сил я показал вам, что так тяжело трудясь, мы должны помогать слабым. Я учил вас не забывать слова Господа Иисуса, Который говорил: „Больше счастья в том, чтобы давать, чем в том, чтобы брать”».

35 I have showed you all things, how that one must work hard, and be mindful of the weak, and remember the words of our LORD Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

36 Сказав это, Павел преклонил колени вместе со всеми и помолился.

36 And when he had thus spoken, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

37 Все плакали и, обнимая, целовали его,

37 And they all wept bitterly, and they embraced him and kissed him;

38 сильно опечаленные, а особенно его словами: «Больше не увидите меня». Затем они проводили его к кораблю.

38 But they were most distressed because of the words he spoke, that they would not see his face again. And they accompanied him to the ship.
