1 Я буду стоять на страже и ждать, что скажет мне Господь. Я буду ждать, и Он ответит на мои вопросы.
2 И ответил Господь: «Запиши видение, ясно и точно перенеси слова на глиняные скрижали так, чтобы люди могли прочесть их без труда.
3 Эта весть говорит о назначенном времени в будущем, она гласит о том, что произойдёт в конце, и это непременно сбудется. Будь терпелив и жди, потому что конец придёт без опоздания, и назначенное время обязательно наступит.
4 Эта весть не поможет тем, кто отказывается её слушать, но праведные люди будут жить, потому что они поверят ей».
5 Бог сказал: «Как вино обманывает человека, так и гордыня может одурачить сильного, но он не найдёт себе покоя. Он ненасытен как смерть, и как смерть он никогда не будет удовлетворён. Он будет продолжать захватывать и пленять все народы.
6 Но скоро все эти народы будут смеяться над ним и рассказывать о его поражении. Они скажут: „Горе тому, кто обогатил себя тем, что не принадлежит ему, и умножил свои долги. Как долго будешь ты так жить?”
7 Твои кредиторы внезапно восстанут против тебя и всё отнимут, и ужас наведут на тебя.
8 Ты разграбил много стран, поэтому те, кто остались в них, ограбят тебя. Всё это произойдёт потому, что ты пролил много человеческой крови, разорил земли, города и всех живущих в них.
9 Горе тебе, строящему своё богатство на лжи и обмане, даже несмотря на то, что твои поступки губят твою семью. Ты строишь свой дом на утёсах, желая защитить себя.
10 Ты замышляешь опозорить многие народы, но эти планы устыдят твою собственную семью. Ты совершил зло и поплатишься за это жизнью!
11 Каменные стены возопят против тебя, и деревянные перекрытия вину твою докажут.
12 Горе тебе, кто строит город на крови и возводит крепкие стены неправдой!
13 Господь Всемогущий определил, что огонь разрушит всё, что построил ты, и всё, что сделал ты, будет напрасно.
14 Тогда люди по всей земле узнают о славе Господа. И новость эта разнесётся, как растекается впадающая в море вода.
15 Горе будет тебе, так как ты заставляешь других испить чашу гнева твоего. Ты заставляешь их пить допьяна, а затем раздеваешь их, чтобы увидеть их наготу!
16 Но ты познаешь гнев Господний! Ты выпьешь чашу яда из правой руки Господа и тогда испытаешь гнев Его, и словно пьяница ты на землю упадёшь.
17 Ты вырубил леса Ливана, а также истребил животных, обитавших в них, и поэтому ты будешь жестоко наказан, и страх охватит тебя. Тебя одолеет страх, потому что ты проливал кровь людей, опустошал города в этой стране и уничтожал всех, кто там жил».
18 «Идол никому помочь не может, потому что это всего лишь статуя, покрытая металлом. Это лишь статуя, и поэтому человек, который её сделал, не может ожидать помощи от неё. Она даже не умеет говорить!
19 Горе будет тому, кто говорит деревянной статуе: „Оживи и спаси меня!” Горе будет тому, кто говорит безмолвному камню: „Проснись!” Это изваяние не может ему помочь. Оно покрыто золотом и серебром, но нет в нём жизни.
20 Но Господь пребывает в Своём святом храме, так пусть же с благоговением земля будет безмолвной перед Ним!»

4 Behold,2009 his soul5315which is lifted up6075 is not upright34743808 in him: but the just6662 shall live2421 by his faith.530
