Глава 7

1 После этого Иисус ходил по Галилее. В Иудею Он не шел, так как иудеи хотели убить Его.

2 Когда приближался иудейский праздник Шалашей,

3 братья Иисуса сказали Ему: — Не оставайся здесь, иди в Иудею, чтобы и Твои ученики увидели чудеса, которые Ты совершаешь.

4 Ведь никто, стремящийся к известности, не действует втайне. Если Ты делаешь такое, покажи Себя миру.

5 Даже Его братья не верили Ему.

6 Иисус сказал им: — Мое время еще не подошло, для вас же подходит любое время.

7 Вас мир не может ненавидеть, Меня же он ненавидит, потому что Я свидетельствую о том, что его дела злы.

8 Идите на праздник, Я же пока не пойду, потому что Мое время еще не подошло.

9 И Иисус остался в Галилее.

10 Но когда Его братья пошли на праздник, Он тоже пошел, только не открыто, а так, чтобы никто не знал.

11 На празднике иудеи искали Его и спрашивали: — Где Он?

12 В народе об Иисусе шло много разговоров. Некоторые говорили, что Он хороший человек, другие — что Он обманывает народ.

13 Однако открыто никто о Нем ничего не говорил из страха перед иудеями.

14 Первая половина праздника уже прошла, когда Иисус пришел в храм и стал учить.

15 Иудеи удивлялись и спрашивали: — Откуда у Него такая ученость, ведь Он нигде не учился?

16 Иисус ответил: — Учение Мое не от Меня, но от Того, Кто послал Меня.

17 И кто действительно хочет исполнять волю Бога, тот узнает, от Бога Мое учение или же Я говорю Сам от Себя.

18 Тот, кто говорит от себя, ищет славы самому себе, Тот же, Кто ищет славы Пославшему Его, честен, и лжи нет в Нем.

19 Разве Моисей не дал вам Закон? Однако ни один из вас не соблюдает Закона. Зачем вы хотите убить Меня?

20 — Да Ты не одержим ли? Кто хочет Тебя убить? — отвечал народ.

21 Иисус сказал: — Я совершил лишь одно дело, и вы так удивляетесь.

22 Моисей дал вам обрезание (хотя, конечно, обрезание идет не от Моисея, а от праотцев), и вы обрезаете детей даже в субботу.

23 Так если человек может быть обрезан в субботу ради того, чтобы не был нарушен Закон Моисея, то почему вы злы на Меня за то, что Я исцелил всего человека в субботу?

24 Судите не по виду, а по справедливости.

25 В это время некоторые жители Иерусалима стали спрашивать: — Не Тот ли это, Которого хотят убить?

26 Вот же Он открыто говорит перед народом, и Ему не запрещают. Может, начальники достоверно узнали, что Он Христос?

27 Но мы знаем, откуда Он, а когда придет Христос, то никто не будет знать, откуда Он пришел.

28 Тогда Иисус, Который продолжал учить в храме, громко возгласил: — Так вы Меня знаете?! И вы даже знаете, откуда Я?! Ведь Я не Сам от Себя пришел. И верен Тот, Кто послал Меня, но вы Его не знаете.

29 Я же знаю Его, потому что Я от Него пришел и потому что Он послал Меня!

30 Они хотели схватить Иисуса, но никто не поднял на Него руки, потому что Его время еще не настало.

31 Многие же из толпы поверили в Него. Они говорили: — Неужели когда придет Христос, Он совершит больше знамений, чем Этот Человек?

32 Фарисеи услышали, что говорят об Иисусе в толпе, и поэтому первосвященники и фарисеи послали храмовую стражу, чтобы арестовать Его.

33 Иисус сказал: — Еще не долго Мне быть с вами, и потом Я возвращусь к Пославшему Меня.

34 Вы будете искать Меня, но не найдете, и туда, где Я буду, вы прийти не сможете.

35 Иудеи, бывшие там, стали спрашивать друг друга: — Куда это Он собирается идти, что мы не сможем прийти туда? Может, Он намерен пойти туда, где наш народ живет рассеянным среди греков, чтобы учить греков?

36 Что Он имел в виду, когда говорил: «Вы будете искать Меня, но не найдете» и «Туда, где Я буду, вы прийти не сможете»?

37 В последний и самый торжественный день праздника Иисус встал и громко возгласил: — Кто хочет пить, пусть приходит ко Мне и пьет.

38 Кто верит в Меня, как говорит Писание, у того из сердца потекут реки живой воды.

39 Иисус имел в виду Духа, Которого поверившие в Него должны были позже получить. Дух еще не был дан верующим, так как Иисус еще не был прославлен.

40 Некоторые люди в толпе, услышав слова Иисуса, сказали: — Он действительно Тот Самый Пророк!

41 Другие говорили: — Он — Христос! Третьи говорили: — Разве из Галилеи Христос придет?

42 Разве не сказано в Писании, что Христос будет из рода Давида и из Вифлеема, того селения, откуда был Давид?

43 Народ разделился во мнениях об Иисусе.

44 Некоторые хотели схватить Его, но никто не поднял на Иисуса руки.

45 Когда стражники храма возвратились к первосвященникам и фарисеям, те спросили их: — Почему вы не привели Его?

46 Стражники ответили: — Никто еще так не говорил, как Этот Человек.

47 — Он что, и вас тоже обманул? — спросили фарисеи.

48 — Разве хоть один из начальников или из фарисеев Ему поверил?

49 А что эта толпа понимает в Законе? Эти люди прокляты.

50 Никодим, один из фарисеев, который как-то раньше приходил к Иисусу, спросил:

51 — Разве наш Закон дает право судить человека, не выслушав его вначале и не узнав, что он делает?

52 Они ответили: — Ты что, тоже из Галилеи? Посмотри в Писании, и ты увидишь, что ни один пророк из Галилеи не приходит.

53 После этого все разошлись по домам.

Chapter 7

1 AFTER these things Jesus travelled in Galilee; for he did not wish to travel in Judaea, because the Jews wanted to kill him.

2 Now the Jewish feast of the tabernacles was at hand.

3 And his brothers said to Jesus, Depart from here and go to Judaea, so that your disciples may see the works that you do.

4 For there is no man, who does anything in secret and yet wants it to become known. If you are doing these things, show yourself to the people.

5 For not even his own brothers believed in Jesus.

6 Jesus said to them, My time has not yet come; but your time is always ready.

7 The world cannot hate you; but it hates me, because I testify against it, that its works are evil.

8 You go up to this feast; I am not going just now to this feast, for my time is not yet come.

9 He said these things, and remained in Galilee.

10 But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not openly, but as it were in secret.

11 The Jews were looking for him at the feast and said, Where is he?

12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him; for some said, He is good; and others said, No, but he just deceives the people.

13 But no man spoke openly about him, because of the fear of the Jews.

14 Now about the middle period of the feast, Jesus went up to the temple and taught.

15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How does this man know reading, when he has not been instructed?

16 Jesus answered and said, My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.

17 He who wills to do his will, he will understand if my teaching is from God, or if I am just speaking of my own accord.

18 He who speaks of his own accord seeks glory for himself; but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him, he is true, and there is no deception in his heart.

19 Did not Moses give you the law? and yet no one of you obeys the law. Why do you want to kill me?

20 The people answered, saying, You are crazy; who wants to kill you?

21 Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and all of you marvel.

22 Moses gave you circumcision, not because it is from Moses, but because it is from the forefathers; and yet you circumcise a man on the sabbath.

23 So if a man is circumcised on the sabbath day, that the law of Moses may not be broken; yet you murmur at me, because I healed a whole man * on the sabbath day?

24 Do not judge by partiality, but judge a just judgment.

25 Then some of the men of Jerusalem were saying, Is not this the man whom they want to kill?

26 And yet he speaks openly, but they say nothing to him. Perhaps our elders have found out that he is the Christ?

27 Howbeit we know whence he comes; but when the Christ comes, no man will know whence he comes.

28 Jesus then lifted up his voice as he taught in the temple, and said, You know me, and you know whence I come; and yet I have not come of my own accord, but he who sent me is true, whom you do not know.

29 But I know him; because I am from him, and he sent me.

30 So they wanted to seize him; and no man laid hands on him, because his time had not yet come.

31 But a great many of the people believed in him and said, When the Christ comes, why, will he do greater wonders than this man does?

32 The Pharisees heard the people talking about him; so they and the high priests sent soldiers to arrest him.

33 And Jesus said, I am with you just a short while, and I am going to him who sent me.

34 You will seek me, but you will not find me; and where I am you cannot come.

35 Then the Jews said among themselves, Where is he going, that we cannot find him? why, is he planning to go to the countries of the Gentiles, to teach the pagans?

36 What does this word mean which he said, You will seek me and you will not find me; and where I am you cannot come?

37 Now on the greatest day, which is the last day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out and said, If any man is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.

38 Whoever believes in me, just as the scriptures have said, the rivers of living water shall flow from within him.

39 He said this concerning the Spirit, which they who believe in him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

40 Many of the people who heard his words were saying, This man truly is a prophet.

41 Others were saying, He is the Christ; but others said, Is it possible that Christ should come from Galilee?

42 Does not the scripture say that Christ will come from the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the town of David?

43 So the people were divided because of him.

44 And there were some men among them, who wanted to seize him; but no man laid hands on him.

45 And the soldiers returned to the high priests and the Pharisees; and the priests said to them, Why did you not bring him?

46 The soldiers said to them, Never a man has spoken as this man speaks.

47 The Pharisees said to them, Why, have you also been deceived?

48 Why, have any of the leaders or of the Pharisees believed in him,

49 Except this cursed people, who do not know the law?

50 Nicodemus, one of them, who had come to Jesus at night, said to them,

51 Does our law convict a man, unless it first hears from him, and knows what he has done?

52 They answered and said to him, Why, are you also from Galilee? * Search and see that no prophet will rise up from Galilee.

53 So everyone went to his own house.

1 После этого Иисус ходил по Галилее. В Иудею Он не шел, так как иудеи хотели убить Его.	1 AFTER these things Jesus travelled in Galilee; for he did not wish to travel in Judaea, because the Jews wanted to kill him.
2 Когда приближался иудейский праздник Шалашей,	2 Now the Jewish feast of the tabernacles was at hand.
3 братья Иисуса сказали Ему: — Не оставайся здесь, иди в Иудею, чтобы и Твои ученики увидели чудеса, которые Ты совершаешь.	3 And his brothers said to Jesus, Depart from here and go to Judaea, so that your disciples may see the works that you do.
4 Ведь никто, стремящийся к известности, не действует втайне. Если Ты делаешь такое, покажи Себя миру.	4 For there is no man, who does anything in secret and yet wants it to become known. If you are doing these things, show yourself to the people.
5 Даже Его братья не верили Ему.	5 For not even his own brothers believed in Jesus.
6 Иисус сказал им: — Мое время еще не подошло, для вас же подходит любое время.	6 Jesus said to them, My time has not yet come; but your time is always ready.
7 Вас мир не может ненавидеть, Меня же он ненавидит, потому что Я свидетельствую о том, что его дела злы.	7 The world cannot hate you; but it hates me, because I testify against it, that its works are evil.
8 Идите на праздник, Я же пока не пойду, потому что Мое время еще не подошло.	8 You go up to this feast; I am not going just now to this feast, for my time is not yet come.
9 И Иисус остался в Галилее.	9 He said these things, and remained in Galilee.
10 Но когда Его братья пошли на праздник, Он тоже пошел, только не открыто, а так, чтобы никто не знал.	10 But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not openly, but as it were in secret.
11 На празднике иудеи искали Его и спрашивали: — Где Он?	11 The Jews were looking for him at the feast and said, Where is he?
12 В народе об Иисусе шло много разговоров. Некоторые говорили, что Он хороший человек, другие — что Он обманывает народ.	12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him; for some said, He is good; and others said, No, but he just deceives the people.
13 Однако открыто никто о Нем ничего не говорил из страха перед иудеями.	13 But no man spoke openly about him, because of the fear of the Jews.
14 Первая половина праздника уже прошла, когда Иисус пришел в храм и стал учить.	14 Now about the middle period of the feast, Jesus went up to the temple and taught.
15 Иудеи удивлялись и спрашивали: — Откуда у Него такая ученость, ведь Он нигде не учился?	15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How does this man know reading, when he has not been instructed?
16 Иисус ответил: — Учение Мое не от Меня, но от Того, Кто послал Меня.	16 Jesus answered and said, My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.
17 И кто действительно хочет исполнять волю Бога, тот узнает, от Бога Мое учение или же Я говорю Сам от Себя.	17 He who wills to do his will, he will understand if my teaching is from God, or if I am just speaking of my own accord.
18 Тот, кто говорит от себя, ищет славы самому себе, Тот же, Кто ищет славы Пославшему Его, честен, и лжи нет в Нем.	18 He who speaks of his own accord seeks glory for himself; but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him, he is true, and there is no deception in his heart.
19 Разве Моисей не дал вам Закон? Однако ни один из вас не соблюдает Закона. Зачем вы хотите убить Меня?	19 Did not Moses give you the law? and yet no one of you obeys the law. Why do you want to kill me?
20 — Да Ты не одержим ли? Кто хочет Тебя убить? — отвечал народ.	20 The people answered, saying, You are crazy; who wants to kill you?
21 Иисус сказал: — Я совершил лишь одно дело, и вы так удивляетесь.	21 Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and all of you marvel.
22 Моисей дал вам обрезание (хотя, конечно, обрезание идет не от Моисея, а от праотцев), и вы обрезаете детей даже в субботу.	22 Moses gave you circumcision, not because it is from Moses, but because it is from the forefathers; and yet you circumcise a man on the sabbath.
23 Так если человек может быть обрезан в субботу ради того, чтобы не был нарушен Закон Моисея, то почему вы злы на Меня за то, что Я исцелил всего человека в субботу?	23 So if a man is circumcised on the sabbath day, that the law of Moses may not be broken; yet you murmur at me, because I healed a whole man * on the sabbath day?
24 Судите не по виду, а по справедливости.	24 Do not judge by partiality, but judge a just judgment.
25 В это время некоторые жители Иерусалима стали спрашивать: — Не Тот ли это, Которого хотят убить?	25 Then some of the men of Jerusalem were saying, Is not this the man whom they want to kill?
26 Вот же Он открыто говорит перед народом, и Ему не запрещают. Может, начальники достоверно узнали, что Он Христос?	26 And yet he speaks openly, but they say nothing to him. Perhaps our elders have found out that he is the Christ?
27 Но мы знаем, откуда Он, а когда придет Христос, то никто не будет знать, откуда Он пришел.	27 Howbeit we know whence he comes; but when the Christ comes, no man will know whence he comes.
28 Тогда Иисус, Который продолжал учить в храме, громко возгласил: — Так вы Меня знаете?! И вы даже знаете, откуда Я?! Ведь Я не Сам от Себя пришел. И верен Тот, Кто послал Меня, но вы Его не знаете.	28 Jesus then lifted up his voice as he taught in the temple, and said, You know me, and you know whence I come; and yet I have not come of my own accord, but he who sent me is true, whom you do not know.
29 Я же знаю Его, потому что Я от Него пришел и потому что Он послал Меня!	29 But I know him; because I am from him, and he sent me.
30 Они хотели схватить Иисуса, но никто не поднял на Него руки, потому что Его время еще не настало.	30 So they wanted to seize him; and no man laid hands on him, because his time had not yet come.
31 Многие же из толпы поверили в Него. Они говорили: — Неужели когда придет Христос, Он совершит больше знамений, чем Этот Человек?	31 But a great many of the people believed in him and said, When the Christ comes, why, will he do greater wonders than this man does?
32 Фарисеи услышали, что говорят об Иисусе в толпе, и поэтому первосвященники и фарисеи послали храмовую стражу, чтобы арестовать Его.	32 The Pharisees heard the people talking about him; so they and the high priests sent soldiers to arrest him.
33 Иисус сказал: — Еще не долго Мне быть с вами, и потом Я возвращусь к Пославшему Меня.	33 And Jesus said, I am with you just a short while, and I am going to him who sent me.
34 Вы будете искать Меня, но не найдете, и туда, где Я буду, вы прийти не сможете.	34 You will seek me, but you will not find me; and where I am you cannot come.
35 Иудеи, бывшие там, стали спрашивать друг друга: — Куда это Он собирается идти, что мы не сможем прийти туда? Может, Он намерен пойти туда, где наш народ живет рассеянным среди греков, чтобы учить греков?	35 Then the Jews said among themselves, Where is he going, that we cannot find him? why, is he planning to go to the countries of the Gentiles, to teach the pagans?
36 Что Он имел в виду, когда говорил: «Вы будете искать Меня, но не найдете» и «Туда, где Я буду, вы прийти не сможете»?	36 What does this word mean which he said, You will seek me and you will not find me; and where I am you cannot come?
37 В последний и самый торжественный день праздника Иисус встал и громко возгласил: — Кто хочет пить, пусть приходит ко Мне и пьет.	37 Now on the greatest day, which is the last day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out and said, If any man is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
38 Кто верит в Меня, как говорит Писание, у того из сердца потекут реки живой воды.	38 Whoever believes in me, just as the scriptures have said, the rivers of living water shall flow from within him.
39 Иисус имел в виду Духа, Которого поверившие в Него должны были позже получить. Дух еще не был дан верующим, так как Иисус еще не был прославлен.	39 He said this concerning the Spirit, which they who believe in him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
40 Некоторые люди в толпе, услышав слова Иисуса, сказали: — Он действительно Тот Самый Пророк!	40 Many of the people who heard his words were saying, This man truly is a prophet.
41 Другие говорили: — Он — Христос! Третьи говорили: — Разве из Галилеи Христос придет?	41 Others were saying, He is the Christ; but others said, Is it possible that Christ should come from Galilee?
42 Разве не сказано в Писании, что Христос будет из рода Давида и из Вифлеема, того селения, откуда был Давид?	42 Does not the scripture say that Christ will come from the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the town of David?
43 Народ разделился во мнениях об Иисусе.	43 So the people were divided because of him.
44 Некоторые хотели схватить Его, но никто не поднял на Иисуса руки.	44 And there were some men among them, who wanted to seize him; but no man laid hands on him.
45 Когда стражники храма возвратились к первосвященникам и фарисеям, те спросили их: — Почему вы не привели Его?	45 And the soldiers returned to the high priests and the Pharisees; and the priests said to them, Why did you not bring him?
46 Стражники ответили: — Никто еще так не говорил, как Этот Человек.	46 The soldiers said to them, Never a man has spoken as this man speaks.
47 — Он что, и вас тоже обманул? — спросили фарисеи.	47 The Pharisees said to them, Why, have you also been deceived?
48 — Разве хоть один из начальников или из фарисеев Ему поверил?	48 Why, have any of the leaders or of the Pharisees believed in him,
49 А что эта толпа понимает в Законе? Эти люди прокляты.	49 Except this cursed people, who do not know the law?
50 Никодим, один из фарисеев, который как-то раньше приходил к Иисусу, спросил:	50 Nicodemus, one of them, who had come to Jesus at night, said to them,
51 — Разве наш Закон дает право судить человека, не выслушав его вначале и не узнав, что он делает?	51 Does our law convict a man, unless it first hears from him, and knows what he has done?
52 Они ответили: — Ты что, тоже из Галилеи? Посмотри в Писании, и ты увидишь, что ни один пророк из Галилеи не приходит.	52 They answered and said to him, Why, are you also from Galilee? * Search and see that no prophet will rise up from Galilee.
53 После этого все разошлись по домам.	53 So everyone went to his own house.
