Глава 33

1 Когда Иеремия еще был заключен в царской темнице, Господне слово было к нему во второй раз:

2 — Так говорит Господь, Который сотворил землю, Господь, Который создал ее и утвердил — Господь Его имя:

3 Воззови ко Мне, и Я тебе отвечу — возвещу тебе великое и недоступное, чего ты не знаешь.

4 Ведь так говорит Господь, Бог Израиля, о домах этого города и о царских дворцах Иудеи, которые были разрушены, чтобы построить защиту от осадных валов, и от меча атакующих:

5 — Израильтяне будут сражаться с халдеями, но их дома наполнятся трупами тех, кого Я сражу в Своем гневе и ярости, потому что Я скрыл Свое лицо от этого города из-за всех его злодеяний.

6 Но Я дам ему и здоровье, и исцеление; Я исцелю Мой народ и открою ему изобилие мира и безопасности.

7 Я восстановлю Иудею и Израиль и отстрою их такими же, как прежде.

8 Я очищу их от всех грехов, которые они совершили предо Мной, и прощу все их беззакония, когда они восставали против Меня.

9 Тогда этот город принесет Мне славу, радость, хвалу и честь перед всеми народами земли, которые услышат обо всем добре, которое Я делаю для него; они испугаются и затрепещут, узнав обо всем добре и мире, которые Я ему дам.

10 Так говорит Господь: — Вы говорите об этой земле: «Это пустыня без людей и животных». Но раздадутся еще в городах Иудеи и на опустевших улицах Иерусалима, где не живут ни люди, ни звери,

11 звуки веселья и радости, голоса жениха и невесты, голоса несущих благодарственные жертвы в дом Господа и говорящих: «Славьте Господа Сил, потому что Господь благ; милость Его — навеки». Ведь Я верну в эту землю благополучие, как прежде, — говорит Господь.

12 Так говорит Господь Сил: — В этом пустынном краю, где нет ни людей, ни животных, возле всех этих городов снова будут пастбища, на которых пастухи будут пасти свои стада.

13 В городах нагорий, западных предгорий и Негева, в землях Вениамина, в окрестностях Иерусалима и в городах Иудеи стада вновь будут проходить под рукою того, кто их пересчитывает, — говорит Господь.

14 Непременно наступят дни, — возвещает Господь, — когда Я исполню доброе обещание, которое Я дал дому Израиля и дому Иуды.

15 — В те дни и в то время когда Я произращу праведную Ветвь из рода Давида — Он будет вершить в стране справедливость и правосудие.

16 В те дни Иуда будет спасен, и Иерусалим будет жить в безопасности. Вот как Его назовут: «Господь — наша праведность».

17 Ведь так говорит Господь: — Давид не останется без сидящего на престоле дома Израиля,

18 а священники-левиты не останутся без стоящего всегда предо Мной, чтобы совершать всесожжения, сжигать хлебные приношения и приносить жертвы.

19 Было к Иеремии слово Господа:

20 — Так говорит Господь: Если кто-нибудь сможет расторгнуть Мой завет с днем и Мой завет с ночью, чтобы день и ночь не наступали больше в положенное им время,

21 то расторгнется и Мой завет с Давидом, Моим слугой, и с левитами, которые несут службу предо Мной, и у Давида не будет больше потомков, чтобы править на его престоле.

22 Я сделаю потомков Давида, Моего слуги, и левитов, которые совершают предо Мной служение, бесчисленными, как звезды на небе, и неисчислимыми, как песок на морском берегу.

23 Господь обратился к Иеремии:

24 — Разве ты не обратил внимания, как эти люди говорят: «Господь отверг оба царства, которые Он избрал» — и до того презирают Мой народ, что даже народом его больше не считают?

25 Так говорит Господь: — Только если бы Я не заключал завета с днем и ночью, и уставов для небес и земли Я не давал,

26 то тогда Я отверг бы и потомков Иакова, и Моего слугу Давида и не избирал бы никого из его сыновей править потомками Авраама, Исаака и Иакова. Ведь Я восстановлю и помилую их.

Chapter 33

1 MOREOVER, the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the guard, saying,

2 Thus says the LORD who made you and formed you and established you: the LORD is his name:

3 Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you know not.

4 For thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which the robbers have uprooted by the sword:

5 They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill the streets with the dead bodies of men whom I have slain in my anger and in my wrath; for I have turned my face from this city because of the evil which they did before me.

6 Behold, I will bring to it a long period of healing, and I will heal them and will reveal to them the paths of peace and truth.

7 And I will bring back the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel, and I will build them as at first.

8 And I will cleanse them from their iniquity whereby they have committed evil against me; and I will pardon all their trespasses whereby they have sinned against me, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

9 And Israel shall be to me for a name and for a delight, and for rejoicing and for glory before all the nations of the earth, who shall hear of all the good that I do to them; and they shall fear and be angry because of all the goodness and all the peace that I bring to them.

10 Thus says the LORD: Again there shall be heard in this country which you say is a waste without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, which are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast,

11 The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, Praise the LORD of hosts; for the LORD is good and pleasant, and his mercy endures for ever; even of those who bring a sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will bring back the captivity of the land, as at the first, says the LORD of hosts.

12 Thus says the LORD of hosts: From henceforth in this place which is waste, without men and without beast, and in all its cities there shall be habitations of shepherds and folds of the flocks.

13 In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the plain and in the cities of the south and in the land of Benjamin and in the places about Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah, flocks shall again pass under the hands of those who count them, says the LORD.

14 Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will perform the good things which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah, says the LORD.

15 In those days and at that time I will cause an heir of righteousness to rise up to David; and he shall rule over the kingdom and shall have understanding and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

16 In those days Judah shall be saved and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name by which they shall call him: The LORD our righteousness.

17 For thus says the LORD, David shall never lack an heir to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;

18 Neither shall the priests and the Levites lack a man before me to offer burnt offerings and to burn meat offerings and to do sacrifice and to burn incense continually.

19 And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

20 Thus says the LORD: if they can break my ordinances of the day, and my ordinances of the night, so that there should not be day and night in their appointed time;

21 Then may also my covenant which I made with David my servant be broken, so that he should not have an heir to reign upon his throne; and my covenant with the priests and the Levites, my ministers.

22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the descendants of David my servant and of the Levites who minister to me.

23 Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

24 Have you not considered what this people are saying, The two families which the LORD has chosen, he has rejected? Thus they have provoked my people to anger, that they should be no more a nation before me.

25 Thus says the LORD: If my covenant be not in effect with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;

26 Then I will reject the descendants of Jacob and of David my servant so that I will not take any of his descendants to be rulers over the house of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; for I will bring them back from their exile and will have mercy upon them.

11 звуки веселья и радости, голоса жениха и невесты, голоса несущих благодарственные жертвы в дом Господа и говорящих: «Славьте Господа Сил, потому что Господь благ; милость Его — навеки». Ведь Я верну в эту землю благополучие, как прежде, — говорит Господь.

11 The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, Praise the LORD of hosts; for the LORD is good and pleasant, and his mercy endures for ever; even of those who bring a sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will bring back the captivity of the land, as at the first, says the LORD of hosts.

12 Так говорит Господь Сил: — В этом пустынном краю, где нет ни людей, ни животных, возле всех этих городов снова будут пастбища, на которых пастухи будут пасти свои стада.

12 Thus says the LORD of hosts: From henceforth in this place which is waste, without men and without beast, and in all its cities there shall be habitations of shepherds and folds of the flocks.

13 В городах нагорий, западных предгорий и Негева, в землях Вениамина, в окрестностях Иерусалима и в городах Иудеи стада вновь будут проходить под рукою того, кто их пересчитывает, — говорит Господь.

14 Непременно наступят дни, — возвещает Господь, — когда Я исполню доброе обещание, которое Я дал дому Израиля и дому Иуды.

14 Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will perform the good things which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah, says the LORD.

15 — В те дни и в то время когда Я произращу праведную Ветвь из рода Давида — Он будет вершить в стране справедливость и правосудие.

15 In those days and at that time I will cause an heir of righteousness to rise up to David; and he shall rule over the kingdom and shall have understanding and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

16 В те дни Иуда будет спасен, и Иерусалим будет жить в безопасности. Вот как Его назовут: «Господь — наша праведность».

16 In those days Judah shall be saved and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name by which they shall call him: The LORD our righteousness.

17 Ведь так говорит Господь: — Давид не останется без сидящего на престоле дома Израиля,

17 For thus says the LORD, David shall never lack an heir to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;

18 а священники-левиты не останутся без стоящего всегда предо Мной, чтобы совершать всесожжения, сжигать хлебные приношения и приносить жертвы.

18 Neither shall the priests and the Levites lack a man before me to offer burnt offerings and to burn meat offerings and to do sacrifice and to burn incense continually.

19 Было к Иеремии слово Господа:

19 And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

20 — Так говорит Господь: Если кто-нибудь сможет расторгнуть Мой завет с днем и Мой завет с ночью, чтобы день и ночь не наступали больше в положенное им время,

20 Thus says the LORD: if they can break my ordinances of the day, and my ordinances of the night, so that there should not be day and night in their appointed time;

21 то расторгнется и Мой завет с Давидом, Моим слугой, и с левитами, которые несут службу предо Мной, и у Давида не будет больше потомков, чтобы править на его престоле.

21 Then may also my covenant which I made with David my servant be broken, so that he should not have an heir to reign upon his throne; and my covenant with the priests and the Levites, my ministers.

22 Я сделаю потомков Давида, Моего слуги, и левитов, которые совершают предо Мной служение, бесчисленными, как звезды на небе, и неисчислимыми, как песок на морском берегу.
