Глава 24

1 Если мужчина женится на женщине, но потом она ему опротивеет, потому что он найдет в ней что-нибудь позорное, то он может написать разводное письмо, отдать его ей и отослать ее из своего дома.

2 И если покинув его дом, она станет женой другого,

3 но и второй муж возненавидит ее и напишет разводное письмо, отдаст его ей и отошлет ее из дома, или же он умрет,

4 то первому мужу, который развелся с ней, не дозволяется жениться на ней вновь после того, как она была осквернена. Это было бы отвратительно в глазах Господа. Не наводи грех на землю, которую Господь, твой Бог, дает тебе в наследие.

5 Если мужчина недавно женился, то его нельзя посылать на войну или налагать на него любую другую обязанность. В течение года он должен быть свободен, чтобы оставаться в своем доме и радовать жену, которую он взял.

6 Пусть никто не берет двух жерновов, или даже одного верхнего, в залог за долг, потому что он берет в залог средство к существованию.

7 Если обнаружится, что какой-нибудь человек украл одного из своих братьев-израильтян и обходился с ним как с рабом или продал его, то похититель должен умереть. Ты должен искоренить зло из своей среды.

8 В случае заболевания проказой смотрите, делайте все в точности так, как священники из левитов научат вас. Вы должны прилежно исполнять то, что я повелел им.

9 Помните, что Господь, ваш Бог, сделал с Мирьям, когда вы шли из Египта.

10 Если ты дашь ближнему ссуду любого рода, то не входи к нему в дом, чтобы получить то, что он предлагает в залог.

11 Постой на улице, и пусть человек, которому ты даешь ссуду, вынесет тебе залог на улицу.

12 Если человек так беден, что может оставить в залог только свою верхнюю одежду, то не ложись спать, оставив у себя его залог.

13 Верни ему его одежду к закату, чтобы он мог спать в ней. Тогда он поблагодарит тебя, и это будет праведным делом перед Господом, твоим Богом.

14 Не обижай наемного работника, который беден и нуждается, будь то брат-израильтянин или чужеземец, живущий в одном из твоих городов.

15 Отдавай ему его плату каждый день до захода солнца, потому что он беден и рассчитывает на нее. Иначе он может взмолиться против тебя Господу, и на тебе будет грех.

16 Отцов нельзя предавать смерти за детей, и детей нельзя предавать смерти за отцов. Пусть каждый умирает за свой собственный грех.

17 Не лишай правосудия чужеземца и сироту, не бери в залог одежду у вдовы.

18 Помни, что и ты был рабом в Египте, и Господь, твой Бог, освободил тебя оттуда. Вот почему я повелеваю тебе делать так.

19 Когда будешь жать на своем поле и забудешь сноп, то не возвращайся, чтобы забрать его. Оставь его чужеземцу, сироте и вдове, чтобы Господь, твой Бог, благословил тебя во всех делах твоих рук.

20 Когда будешь обтрясать оливки с деревьев, то не проходись по ветвям дважды. Оставляй то, что остается, чужеземцу, сироте и вдове.

21 Когда будешь снимать плоды в винограднике, не проходись по лозам дважды. Оставляй то, что остается, чужеземцу, сироте и вдове.

22 Помни, что и ты был рабом в Египте. Вот почему я повелеваю тебе делать так.

Deuteronomy

Chapter 24

1 IF a man takes a wife, and lies with her, and if she finds no favor in his eyes, because he has found some evidence of open prostitution in her; then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it to her, and send her out of his house.

2 And when she has left his house, and if she goes and becomes another man's wife,

3 And if that husband hates her, and writes her a bill of divorcement, and gives it to her, and sends her out of his house, or if that husband who took her to be his wife dies;

4 Then her former husband, who sent her away, has no right to take her again to be his wife, after she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before the LORD; and you shall not cause the land to sin, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.

5 When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out with the army, neither shall he be charged with any business; but he shall be free at his home for one year, and shall rejoice with his wife whom he has taken.

6 No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone as a pledge; for he takes a man's life to pledge.

7 If a man of the children of Israel is found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, to make merchandise of him, or sell him; then that thief shall surely die; and you shall put evil away from among you.

8 Take heed in the plague of leprosy, and be exceedingly careful, and do according to all that the priests and the Levites shall teach you; as I commanded them, so you shall be careful to do.

9 Remember what the LORD your God did to Miriam on the way, after you came forth out of Egypt.

10 If your neighbor owes you a debt, you shall not go into his house to fetch his pledge.

11 But you shall wait in the street, and the man who is your debtor shall bring out the pledge to you.

12 And if the man is poor, you shall not sleep with his mantle.

13 But you shall return to him his mantle again when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his own mantle, and bless you; and it shall be righteousness to you before the LORD your God.

14 You shall not cheat the wages of a hired laborer who is poor and needy, whether he is of your brethren or of the strangers who are in your cities;

15 But you shall pay him his wages on the same day, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and it is because of his wages that he places himself at your disposal; lest he cry against you to the LORD, and it be sin against you.

16 The fathers shall not be put to death for their children, neither shall the children be put to death for their fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

17 You shall not pervert the justice due to the stranger, nor to the orphan; nor take a widow's garment as a pledge;

18 But you shall remember that you were a bondman in Egypt, and the LORD your God delivered you from there; therefore I command you to do this thing:

19 When you reap the harvest in your field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not return to fetch it; it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow, that the LORD your God may bless you in all the works of your hands.

20 When you beat your olive trees, you shall not go over the boughs again; it shall be for the stranger, for the orphan, and for the widow.

21 When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean it afterward; it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

22 And you shall remember that you were a bondman in Egypt; therefore I command you to do this thing.

3 но и второй муж возненавидит ее и напишет разводное письмо, отдаст его ей и отошлет ее из дома, или же он умрет,

3 And if that husband hates her, and writes her a bill of divorcement, and gives it to her, and sends her out of his house, or if that husband who took her to be his wife dies;

4 то первому мужу, который развелся с ней, не дозволяется жениться на ней вновь после того, как она была осквернена. Это было бы отвратительно в глазах Господа. Не наводи грех на землю, которую Господь, твой Бог, дает тебе в наследие.

4 Then her former husband, who sent her away, has no right to take her again to be his wife, after she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before the LORD; and you shall not cause the land to sin, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.

5 Если мужчина недавно женился, то его нельзя посылать на войну или налагать на него любую другую обязанность. В течение года он должен быть свободен, чтобы оставаться в своем доме и радовать жену, которую он взял.

5 When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out with the army, neither shall he be charged with any business; but he shall be free at his home for one year, and shall rejoice with his wife whom he has taken.

6 Пусть никто не берет двух жерновов, или даже одного верхнего, в залог за долг, потому что он берет в залог средство к существованию.

6 No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone as a pledge; for he takes a man's life to pledge.

7 Если обнаружится, что какой-нибудь человек украл одного из своих братьев-израильтян и обходился с ним как с рабом или продал его, то похититель должен умереть. Ты должен искоренить зло из своей среды.

7 If a man of the children of Israel is found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, to make merchandise of him, or sell him; then that thief shall surely die; and you shall put evil away from among you.

8 В случае заболевания проказой смотрите, делайте все в точности так, как священники из левитов научат вас. Вы должны прилежно исполнять то, что я повелел им.

8 Take heed in the plague of leprosy, and be exceedingly careful, and do according to all that the priests and the Levites shall teach you; as I commanded them, so you shall be careful to do.

9 Помните, что Господь, ваш Бог, сделал с Мирьям, когда вы шли из Египта.

9 Remember what the LORD your God did to Miriam on the way, after you came forth out of Egypt.

10 Если ты дашь ближнему ссуду любого рода, то не входи к нему в дом, чтобы получить то, что он предлагает в залог.

16 Отцов нельзя предавать смерти за детей, и детей нельзя предавать смерти за отцов. Пусть каждый умирает за свой собственный грех.

16 The fathers shall not be put to death for their children, neither shall the children be put to death for their fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
