Глава 22

1 Спустя какое-то время Бог подверг Авраама испытанию. Он сказал ему: — Авраам! — Я здесь, — ответил Авраам.

2 Бог сказал: — Возьми сына, своего единственного сына Исаака, которого ты любишь, иди в землю Мориа и принеси его там в жертву всесожжения на горе, на которую Я укажу тебе.

3 На другой день рано утром Авраам встал, оседлал осла, взял с собой двух слуг и сына Исаака, нарубил дров для всесожжения и отправился в путь к тому месту, о котором сказал ему Бог.

4 На третий день Авраам поднял взгляд и увидел вдали то место.

5 Он сказал слугам: — Оставайтесь здесь с ослом, а мы с мальчиком пойдем туда и совершим поклонение, а потом вернемся к вам.

6 Авраам взял дрова для всесожжения и положил их на спину Исааку, а сам понес огонь и нож, и они вдвоем отправились в путь.

7 Исаак сказал своему отцу Аврааму: — Отец! — Да, мой сын? — ответил Авраам. — У нас есть огонь и дрова, — сказал Исаак, — но где же ягненок для всесожжения?

8 Авраам ответил: — Бог Сам усмотрит ягненка для всесожжения, сын мой. И они вдвоем пошли дальше.

9 Когда они добрались до места, о котором сказал ему Бог, Авраам построил там жертвенник и сложил на нем дрова, связал своего сына Исаака и положил его на жертвенник поверх дров.

10 Он протянул руку и взял нож, чтобы заколоть сына.

11 Но Ангел Господень воззвал к нему с неба: — Авраам! Авраам! — Я здесь, — ответил он.

12 — Не поднимай руки на мальчика, — сказал Он, — не делай с ним ничего. Теперь Я знаю, что ты боишься Бога, потому что ты не пожалел для Меня сына, своего единственного сына.

13 Авраам поднял взгляд и увидел барана, который запутался рогами в зарослях. Он пошел, взял барана и принес его в жертву всесожжения вместо сына.

14 Авраам назвал то место «Господь усмотрит», и оттого доныне говорится: «На горе Господа усмотрится».

15 Ангел Господень воззвал к Аврааму с неба во второй раз

16 и сказал: — Клянусь Самим Собой, возвещает Господь: раз ты сделал это и не пожалел для Меня своего единственного сына,

17 то Я непременно благословлю тебя и сделаю твое потомство многочисленным, как звезды на небе, как песок на морском берегу; и твое потомство овладеет городами своих врагов,

18 и через твое семя получат благословение все народы на земле, потому что ты послушался Меня.

19 Авраам возвратился к слугам, и они вместе отправились в Вирсавию. Авраам остался в Вирсавии.

20 Прошло время, и Аврааму сказали: — Милка тоже стала матерью, родила сыновей твоему брату Нахору:

21 Уца, первенца, Буза, его брата, Кемуила (отца Арама),

22 Кеседа, Хазо, Пилдаша, Идлафа и Бетуила.

23 Бетуил стал отцом Ревекки. Этих восьмерых сыновей Милка родила Авраамову брату Нахору.

24 Его наложница по имени Реума тоже родила ему сыновей: Теваха, Гахама, Тахаша и Мааху.

Chapter 22

1 AND it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham and said to him, Abraham. And he said, Behold, here I am.

2 And he said, Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of the Amorites; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of which I will tell you.

3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning and saddled his ass and took two of his young men with him and Isaac his son, and cut wood for the burnt offering and rose up and went to the place of which God had told him.

4 And on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place afar off.

5 And he said to his young men, You stay here with the ass, and I and the boy will go yonder to worship and return to you.

6 And Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and laid it upon Isaac his son, and he took the fire in a container and a knife in his hand, and they went both of them together.

7 And Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, My father. And he answered. Here I am, my son. And Isaac said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

8 And Abraham said, God will provide himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son. So they went both of them together.

9 And they came to the place of which God had told him; and Abraham built an altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

10 Then Abraham stretched forth his hand and took the knife to slay his son.

11 And the angel of the LORD called to him from heaven and said. Abraham! Abraham! And he said, Here am I.

12 And he said to him, Do not lay your hand on the boy, neither shall you harm him; for now I know that you are a man who reveres God, seeing that you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.

13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold a ram caught in a thicket by his horns; and Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.

14 And Abraham called the name of that place Mariah-nekhzey, that is, the LORD will provide, as it is said to this day on this mountain, The LORD shall provide.

15 And the angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time

16 And said, I have sworn by myself, says the LORD, for because you have done this thing and have not withheld your son, your only son, from me,

17 I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is on the sea shore; and your descendants shall inherit the lands of their enemies;

18 And by your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because you have obeyed my voice.

19 So Abraham returned to his young men and they rose up and went together to Beer-sheba, and Abraham dwelt in Beer-sheba.

20 And it came to pass after these things that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah has also borne children to your brother Nahor:

21 Uz his first-born, Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,

22 And Khasar, Hazo, Pilrash, Jarlaph, and Bethuel.

23 And Bethuel begot Rebekah; these eight Milcah did bear to Nahor, Abraham's brother.

24 And his concubine, whose name was Romah, also bore Tebah, Gaham, Thahash, and Maachah.

7 Исаак сказал своему отцу Аврааму: — Отец! — Да, мой сын? — ответил Авраам. — У нас есть огонь и дрова, — сказал Исаак, — но где же ягненок для всесожжения?	7 And Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, My father. And he answered. Here I am, my son. And Isaac said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8 Авраам ответил: — Бог Сам усмотрит ягненка для всесожжения, сын мой. И они вдвоем пошли дальше.	8 And Abraham said, God will provide himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son. So they went both of them together.
9 Когда они добрались до места, о котором сказал ему Бог, Авраам построил там жертвенник и сложил на нем дрова, связал своего сына Исаака и положил его на жертвенник поверх дров.	9 And they came to the place of which God had told him; and Abraham built an altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

12 — Не поднимай руки на мальчика, — сказал Он, — не делай с ним ничего. Теперь Я знаю, что ты боишься Бога, потому что ты не пожалел для Меня сына, своего единственного сына.	12 And he said to him, Do not lay your hand on the boy, neither shall you harm him; for now I know that you are a man who reveres God, seeing that you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.

15 Ангел Господень воззвал к Аврааму с неба во второй раз	15 And the angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time
16 и сказал: — Клянусь Самим Собой, возвещает Господь: раз ты сделал это и не пожалел для Меня своего единственного сына,	16 And said, I have sworn by myself, says the LORD, for because you have done this thing and have not withheld your son, your only son, from me,
17 то Я непременно благословлю тебя и сделаю твое потомство многочисленным, как звезды на небе, как песок на морском берегу; и твое потомство овладеет городами своих врагов,	17 I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is on the sea shore; and your descendants shall inherit the lands of their enemies;
18 и через твое семя получат благословение все народы на земле, потому что ты послушался Меня.	18 And by your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because you have obeyed my voice.
19 Авраам возвратился к слугам, и они вместе отправились в Вирсавию. Авраам остался в Вирсавии.	19 So Abraham returned to his young men and they rose up and went together to Beer-sheba, and Abraham dwelt in Beer-sheba.
20 Прошло время, и Аврааму сказали: — Милка тоже стала матерью, родила сыновей твоему брату Нахору:	20 And it came to pass after these things that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah has also borne children to your brother Nahor:
21 Уца, первенца, Буза, его брата, Кемуила (отца Арама),	21 Uz his first-born, Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,
