Глава 22

1 — Если кто-то украдет вола или овцу и зарежет их или продаст, то он заплатит пять волов за вола и четыре овцы за овцу.

2 Если вора застигнут при взломе и изобьют так, что он умрет, то тот, кто его бил, не виноват в убийстве.

3 Но если это случится после восхода солнца, тогда он виноват. Вор должен возместить украденное. Если у него ничего нет, то пусть его продадут в рабство, чтобы возместить украденное.

4 Если краденый скот будет найден у него живым, то все равно, вол это, осел или овца, он должен заплатить вдвое.

5 Если кто-то потравит чужое поле или виноградник, пустив скотину на чужое поле, то пусть возместит за потраву лучшим урожаем со своего поля или виноградника.

6 Если загорится огонь и, охватив терновые кусты, спалит скирды или несжатое зерно в поле, то тот, кто пустил огонь, должен возместить сгоревшее.

7 Если кто-то отдаст ближнему на хранение серебро или вещи и их украдут из дома поручившегося, то вор, если его поймают, заплатит вдвое.

8 Но если вора не найдут, поручившийся должен предстать перед судьями и поклясться, что не посягал на чужое добро.

9 При всяком споре о праве на имущество, будь то вол, осел, овца, одежда или другое пропавшее имущество, о котором кто-то говорит: «Это мое», обе стороны должны представить дело судьям. Тот, кого судьи объявят неправым, заплатит истцу вдвое.

10 Если кто-то отдаст ближнему осла, вола, овцу или другую скотину на хранение, и она умрет, или будет покалечена, или угнана, когда никто не видит,

11 то его спор с ответчиком будет решен клятвой перед Господом, что ответчик не посягал на чужое добро. Истец должен принять клятву, и возмещения не будет.

12 Но если скотину у ответчика украли, то он должен возместить истцу за украденное.

13 Если скотину растерзали дикие звери, то пусть ответчик принесет труп животного для доказательства. Тогда он не будет возмещать убытки за растерзанное животное.

14 Если кто-то возьмет у ближнего скотину взаймы, а она получит увечье или умрет, когда хозяина не будет рядом, то он должен возместить.

15 Но если хозяин будет в тот момент рядом, то взявший ее взаймы не будет платить. Если скотина была взята внаем, пусть потерю покроет плата за наем.

16 — Если человек соблазнит девушку, которая не давала обещания выйти замуж, и переспит с ней, то он должен заплатить свадебный выкуп, и она станет его женой.

17 Если же отец откажется отдать ее ему, он все равно должен заплатить выкуп, какой полагается за девушку.

18 Не оставляй в живых колдунью.

19 Всякого, кто совокупляется с животным, следует предать смерти.

20 Всякого, приносящего жертвы иному богу, кроме Господа, следует истребить.

21 Не притесняй поселенцев, не угнетай их: вы сами были поселенцами в Египте.

22 Не притесняй вдов и сирот.

23 Если вы будете делать это, они призовут на помощь Меня, и Я непременно услышу.

24 Мой гнев вспыхнет, и Я убью вас мечом. Ваши жены сами станут вдовами, а дети — сиротами.

25 Если даешь взаймы бедняку из Моего народа, то не будь, как ростовщик — не налагай процентов.

26 Если возьмешь у ближнего в залог одежду, то верни ее к закату:

27 может быть, ему больше нечем укрыться, кроме этой одежды. Как ему спать без нее? Когда он взмолится ко Мне, Я услышу, потому что Я милостив.

28 Не оскорбляй Бога и не говори плохо о вожде твоего народа.

29 Не медли совершать приношения из твоих амбаров и кувшинов. Отдавайте Мне первенцев из своих сыновей.

30 Отдавайте Мне первородное из крупного и мелкого скота. Пусть животные остаются семь дней с матерью, а на восьмой день отдавайте их Мне.

31 Будьте Моим святым народом: не ешьте мясо животного, растерзанного дикими зверями. Бросайте его собакам.

Chapter 22

1 IF a man shall steal an ox or a ewe, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four ewes for a ewe.

2 If a thief is found breaking into a house and is wounded so that he dies, there is no penalty for bloodshed.

3 But if the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood penalty for him; and he should make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

4 If the animal is found in his possession alive, whether it is an ox or an ass, or a ewe, he shall restore double.

5 If a man shall cause a field or a vineyard to be eaten, and shall let his cattle loose to feed in another man's field, of the best of his own field and of the best of his own vineyard, he shall make restitution.

6 If fire breaks out and catches in the thorns so that the shocks of grain or the standing wheat or the field is consumed, he who kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.

7 If a man shall deliver to his neighbor money or stuff to keep and it is stolen out of the man's house, if the thief is found, let him pay double.

8 If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought to the judges to see whether he had a hand in the theft of his neighbor's goods.

9 For all manner of trespass, whether it be for an ox for an ass for a lamb for clothing or for any manner of lost thing which another man claims to be his, the case of both parties shall come before the judges; and whomever the judges shall convict, he shall make two-fold restitution to his neighbor.

10 If a man delivers to his neighbor an ass or an ox or a lamb or any kind of animal to keep; and it dies or is hurt or taken away in plunder and no man saw it;

11 Then there shall be an oath of the LORD between them both, that he had no hand in the theft of his neighbor's property; and the owner of it shall accept the oaths and he shall not make restitution.

12 But if it is stolen from him, he shall make restitution to the owner thereof.

13 If it is torn in pieces, then let him bring it as evidence, and he shall not make good that which was torn.

14 And if a man borrow of his neighbor an animal, and it dies or it is injured, the owner thereof not being with it, he shall surely make restitution.

15 But if the owner thereof is with it, he shall not make restitution; and if it was hired, it came for its hire.

16 And if a man entices a virgin who is not betrothed, and lies with her, he shall surely marry her.

17 If her father refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of a virgin.

18 You shall not suffer a witch to live.

19 Whoever lies with an animal shall surely be put to death.

20 He who sacrifices to idols shall be utterly destroyed; but to the LORD alone shall he sacrifice.

21 You shall neither harm a stranger nor oppress him; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

22 You shall not harm any widow or orphan.

23 If you harm them, and they pray before me, I will surely hear their prayer;

24 And my wrath shall kindle, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.

25 If you lend money to any of my people who are the poor among you, you shall not be to him as an usurer, neither shall you take any usury from him.

26 If you at all take your neighbor's clothes as a pledge, you must give them back to him by sunset;

27 For they are his only covering, it is his raiment for his body; with what shall he sleep? And if he prays before me, I will hear him; for I am compassionate.

28 You shall not revile the judge nor curse the ruler of your people.

29 You shall not delay to offer the first fruits of the harvest of your threshing floor, and of your wine press; the first-born of your sons you shall give to me.

30 Likewise you shall do with your oxen and with your sheep: seven days it shall be with its dam; on the eighth day you shall give it to me.

31 And you shall be holy men to me; neither shall you eat any flesh that has been torn by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.

12 Но если скотину у ответчика украли, то он должен возместить истцу за украденное.	12 But if it is stolen from him, he shall make restitution to the owner thereof.
13 Если скотину растерзали дикие звери, то пусть ответчик принесет труп животного для доказательства. Тогда он не будет возмещать убытки за растерзанное животное.	13 If it is torn in pieces, then let him bring it as evidence, and he shall not make good that which was torn.
14 Если кто-то возьмет у ближнего скотину взаймы, а она получит увечье или умрет, когда хозяина не будет рядом, то он должен возместить.	14 And if a man borrow of his neighbor an animal, and it dies or it is injured, the owner thereof not being with it, he shall surely make restitution.
15 Но если хозяин будет в тот момент рядом, то взявший ее взаймы не будет платить. Если скотина была взята внаем, пусть потерю покроет плата за наем.	15 But if the owner thereof is with it, he shall not make restitution; and if it was hired, it came for its hire.
16 — Если человек соблазнит девушку, которая не давала обещания выйти замуж, и переспит с ней, то он должен заплатить свадебный выкуп, и она станет его женой.	16 And if a man entices a virgin who is not betrothed, and lies with her, he shall surely marry her.

18 Не оставляй в живых колдунью.	18 You shall not suffer a witch to live.
19 Всякого, кто совокупляется с животным, следует предать смерти.	19 Whoever lies with an animal shall surely be put to death.
20 Всякого, приносящего жертвы иному богу, кроме Господа, следует истребить.	20 He who sacrifices to idols shall be utterly destroyed; but to the LORD alone shall he sacrifice.
21 Не притесняй поселенцев, не угнетай их: вы сами были поселенцами в Египте.	21 You shall neither harm a stranger nor oppress him; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
22 Не притесняй вдов и сирот.	22 You shall not harm any widow or orphan.
23 Если вы будете делать это, они призовут на помощь Меня, и Я непременно услышу.	23 If you harm them, and they pray before me, I will surely hear their prayer;
24 Мой гнев вспыхнет, и Я убью вас мечом. Ваши жены сами станут вдовами, а дети — сиротами.	24 And my wrath shall kindle, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.
25 Если даешь взаймы бедняку из Моего народа, то не будь, как ростовщик — не налагай процентов.	25 If you lend money to any of my people who are the poor among you, you shall not be to him as an usurer, neither shall you take any usury from him.
26 Если возьмешь у ближнего в залог одежду, то верни ее к закату:	26 If you at all take your neighbor's clothes as a pledge, you must give them back to him by sunset;
27 может быть, ему больше нечем укрыться, кроме этой одежды. Как ему спать без нее? Когда он взмолится ко Мне, Я услышу, потому что Я милостив.	27 For they are his only covering, it is his raiment for his body; with what shall he sleep? And if he prays before me, I will hear him; for I am compassionate.
