Глава 14

1 Господь сказал Моисею:

2 — Скажи израильтянам, чтобы они повернули назад и остановились у Пи-Гахирота, между Мигдолом и морем. Пусть они расположатся у моря, прямо перед Баал-Цефоном.

3 Фараон подумает: «Израильтяне блуждают по этой земле в растерянности, окруженные пустыней».

4 Я сделаю сердце фараона упрямым, и он погонится за ними, и этим прославлюсь, победив фараона с его войском. Тогда египтяне узнают, что Я — Господь. Израильтяне так и сделали.

5 Когда царю Египта сказали, что народ убежал, фараон и его приближенные передумали и сказали: — Что мы сделали? Мы отпустили израильтян и лишились работников!

6 Фараон запряг колесницу и взял с собой войско.

7 Он взял шестьсот отборных колесниц и все остальные колесницы Египта с их начальниками.

8 Господь сделал сердце фараона, царя Египта, упрямым, и он погнался за израильтянами, которые смело покидали Египет.

9 Войско египтян со всеми лошадьми фараона, колесницами и всадниками погналось за израильтянами и настигло их, когда они расположились лагерем у моря, рядом с Пи-Гахиротом, напротив Баал-Цефона.

10 Когда фараон приблизился, израильтяне оглянулись и увидели, что египтяне преследуют их. Они очень испугались и стали взывать к Господу.

11 Они сказали Моисею: — Разве в Египте не было могил, что ты повел нас умирать в пустыню? Что ты сделал с нами, выведя нас из Египта?

12 Разве мы не говорили тебе в Египте: «Оставь нас в покое. Дай нам служить египтянам?» Лучше бы нам оставаться рабами у египтян, чем умирать в пустыне!

13 Моисей ответил народу: — Не бойтесь. Стойте твердо, и вы увидите, как Господь спасет вас сегодня. Египтян, которых вы видите сейчас, вы не увидите больше никогда.

14 Будьте спокойны, Господь будет сражаться за вас.

15 Господь сказал Моисею: — Зачем ты взываешь ко Мне? Вели израильтянам идти вперед.

16 Подними посох, простри руку над морем, и оно разделится. Тогда израильтяне смогут пройти через море, как по суше.

17 А Я сделаю египтян упрямыми, и они пойдут за ними. Я прославлюсь, победив фараона и его войско, с его колесницами и всадниками.

18 Египтяне узнают, что Я — Господь, когда Я прославлюсь, победив фараона, с его колесницами и всадниками.

19 Ангел Бога, Который шел перед израильским войском, пошел позади него. Облачный столб тоже передвинулся со своего места и оказался позади них,

20 между войсками Египта и Израиля. Всю ночь облако давало тьму одной стороне и свет другой, и всю ночь свет и тьма не могли сойтись.

21 Моисей простер руку над морем, а Господь всю ночь отгонял море сильным восточным ветром и превратил его в сушу. Воды разделились,

22 и израильтяне прошли через море, как по суше: одна стена воды стояла у них справа, а другая — слева.

23 Египтяне погнались за ними. Лошади, колесницы и всадники фараона ринулись в море.

24 Перед самым рассветом Господь посмотрел из огненного и облачного столба на египетское войско и поверг его в смятение.

25 Он застопорил колеса их колесниц, и им стало трудно ехать. Египтяне сказали: — Бежим отсюда! Господь сражается на стороне израильтян против Египта!

26 Тогда Господь сказал Моисею: — Протяни руку над морем, чтобы воды хлынули назад, на египтян, на их колесницы и всадников.

27 Моисей простер руку над морем, и с рассветом воды сомкнулись. Египтяне бежали навстречу морю, и Господь смел их в воду.

28 Вода хлынула назад и накрыла колесницы и всадников — все войско фараона, которое ринулось за израильтянами в море. Не спасся никто.

29 Но израильтяне перешли через море, как по суше: одна стена воды стояла у них справа, а другая — слева.

30 В тот день Господь спас Израиль от египтян, и Израиль увидел их мертвыми на берегу.

31 Когда израильтяне увидели великую силу, которой Господь сразил египтян, то их охватил страх перед Господом. Они поверили Ему и Его слуге Моисею.

Chapter 14

1 THEN the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Speak to the children of Israel that they turn back and encamp by the inlet of Kheritha, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baal-zephon; opposite it shall you encamp by the sea.

3 For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are strangers in the land, the wilderness has shut them in.

4 And the LORD said to Moses, I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue them; and I will triumph over Pharaoh, and over all his army; and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD. And they did so.

5 And it was told the king of Egypt that the people had gone away; and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants changed against the people, and they said, What have we done that we have let Israel go from serving us?

6 And he made ready his chariots and took his people with him:

7 And he took six hundred chosen chariots and all chariots of the Egyptians and warriors over every one of them.

8 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt and he pursued the children of Israel; but the children of Israel had gone out victoriously.

9 And the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen and his army, and overtook them encamping by the inlet of Kheritha, before Baal-zephon.

10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes and saw the Egyptians marching after them; and they were terribly afraid; and the children of Israel prayed before the LORD.

11 And they said to Moses, Is it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you dealt thus with us, and brought us out of Egypt?

12 Is not this the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in this wilderness.

13 And Moses said to the people. Fear not, wait, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will perform for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more for ever.

14 The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

15 And the LORD said to Moses. Why do you pray before me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward;

16 And as for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it; and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the sea.

17 And, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, so that they shall follow them; and I will triumph over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.

18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have been triumphant over Pharaoh, over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.

19 And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of he cloud moved from before them and stood behind them:

20 And it came between the army of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was cloudy and dark all the night, but it gave light all the night to the children of Israel, so that they could not draw near one to another all the night.

21 And Moses lifted up his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground; and the waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

23 And the Egyptians pursued and went into the sea after them, all of Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

24 And it came to pass that in the morning watch the LORD appeared to the Egyptians army in a pillar of fire and of cloud, and threw the Egyptian army into confusion,

25 Thus clogging their chariot wheels that they drew heavily, so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from before the house of Israel; for the LORD fights for them against Egypt.

26 And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch out your hand over the sea that the waters may come back upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots and upon their horsemen.

27 And Moses lifted up his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its place when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not a single one of them.

29 But the children of Israel walked through the sea as if they were walking on the dry land; and the waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

30 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead upon the seashore.

31 And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did against the Egyptians; and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD and his servant Moses.

4 And the LORD said to Moses, I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue them; and I will triumph over Pharaoh, and over all his army; and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD. And they did so.

5 Когда царю Египта сказали, что народ убежал, фараон и его приближенные передумали и сказали: — Что мы сделали? Мы отпустили израильтян и лишились работников!

5 And it was told the king of Egypt that the people had gone away; and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants changed against the people, and they said, What have we done that we have let Israel go from serving us?

6 Фараон запряг колесницу и взял с собой войско.

6 And he made ready his chariots and took his people with him:

7 Он взял шестьсот отборных колесниц и все остальные колесницы Египта с их начальниками.

7 And he took six hundred chosen chariots and all chariots of the Egyptians and warriors over every one of them.

8 Господь сделал сердце фараона, царя Египта, упрямым, и он погнался за израильтянами, которые смело покидали Египет.

8 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt and he pursued the children of Israel; but the children of Israel had gone out victoriously.

9 Войско египтян со всеми лошадьми фараона, колесницами и всадниками погналось за израильтянами и настигло их, когда они расположились лагерем у моря, рядом с Пи-Гахиротом, напротив Баал-Цефона.

9 And the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen and his army, and overtook them encamping by the inlet of Kheritha, before Baal-zephon.

10 Когда фараон приблизился, израильтяне оглянулись и увидели, что египтяне преследуют их. Они очень испугались и стали взывать к Господу.

10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes and saw the Egyptians marching after them; and they were terribly afraid; and the children of Israel prayed before the LORD.

11 Они сказали Моисею: — Разве в Египте не было могил, что ты повел нас умирать в пустыню? Что ты сделал с нами, выведя нас из Египта?

11 And they said to Moses, Is it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you dealt thus with us, and brought us out of Egypt?

12 Разве мы не говорили тебе в Египте: «Оставь нас в покое. Дай нам служить египтянам?» Лучше бы нам оставаться рабами у египтян, чем умирать в пустыне!

12 Is not this the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in this wilderness.

13 Моисей ответил народу: — Не бойтесь. Стойте твердо, и вы увидите, как Господь спасет вас сегодня. Египтян, которых вы видите сейчас, вы не увидите больше никогда.

13 And Moses said to the people. Fear not, wait, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will perform for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more for ever.

14 Будьте спокойны, Господь будет сражаться за вас.

14 The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

15 Господь сказал Моисею: — Зачем ты взываешь ко Мне? Вели израильтянам идти вперед.

15 And the LORD said to Moses. Why do you pray before me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward;

16 Подними посох, простри руку над морем, и оно разделится. Тогда израильтяне смогут пройти через море, как по суше.

16 And as for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it; and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the sea.

17 А Я сделаю египтян упрямыми, и они пойдут за ними. Я прославлюсь, победив фараона и его войско, с его колесницами и всадниками.

17 And, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, so that they shall follow them; and I will triumph over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.

18 Египтяне узнают, что Я — Господь, когда Я прославлюсь, победив фараона, с его колесницами и всадниками.

18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have been triumphant over Pharaoh, over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.

19 Ангел Бога, Который шел перед израильским войском, пошел позади него. Облачный столб тоже передвинулся со своего места и оказался позади них,

19 And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of he cloud moved from before them and stood behind them:

20 между войсками Египта и Израиля. Всю ночь облако давало тьму одной стороне и свет другой, и всю ночь свет и тьма не могли сойтись.

20 And it came between the army of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was cloudy and dark all the night, but it gave light all the night to the children of Israel, so that they could not draw near one to another all the night.

21 Моисей простер руку над морем, а Господь всю ночь отгонял море сильным восточным ветром и превратил его в сушу. Воды разделились,

21 And Moses lifted up his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

22 и израильтяне прошли через море, как по суше: одна стена воды стояла у них справа, а другая — слева.

22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground; and the waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

23 Египтяне погнались за ними. Лошади, колесницы и всадники фараона ринулись в море.

23 And the Egyptians pursued and went into the sea after them, all of Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

24 Перед самым рассветом Господь посмотрел из огненного и облачного столба на египетское войско и поверг его в смятение.

24 And it came to pass that in the morning watch the LORD appeared to the Egyptians army in a pillar of fire and of cloud, and threw the Egyptian army into confusion,

25 Он застопорил колеса их колесниц, и им стало трудно ехать. Египтяне сказали: — Бежим отсюда! Господь сражается на стороне израильтян против Египта!

25 Thus clogging their chariot wheels that they drew heavily, so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from before the house of Israel; for the LORD fights for them against Egypt.

26 Тогда Господь сказал Моисею: — Протяни руку над морем, чтобы воды хлынули назад, на египтян, на их колесницы и всадников.

26 And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch out your hand over the sea that the waters may come back upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots and upon their horsemen.

27 Моисей простер руку над морем, и с рассветом воды сомкнулись. Египтяне бежали навстречу морю, и Господь смел их в воду.

27 And Moses lifted up his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its place when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

28 Вода хлынула назад и накрыла колесницы и всадников — все войско фараона, которое ринулось за израильтянами в море. Не спасся никто.

28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not a single one of them.

29 Но израильтяне перешли через море, как по суше: одна стена воды стояла у них справа, а другая — слева.

29 But the children of Israel walked through the sea as if they were walking on the dry land; and the waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

30 В тот день Господь спас Израиль от египтян, и Израиль увидел их мертвыми на берегу.

30 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead upon the seashore.

31 Когда израильтяне увидели великую силу, которой Господь сразил египтян, то их охватил страх перед Господом. Они поверили Ему и Его слуге Моисею.

31 And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did against the Egyptians; and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD and his servant Moses.
