Глава 36

1 В четвертом году правления иудейского царя Иоакима, сына Иосии, Господь сказал Иеремии:

2 — Возьми свиток и запиши в него все слова, которые Я говорил тебе об Израиле, Иудее и всех народах с того времени, как Я начал говорить с тобой в дни правления Иосии вплоть до этого дня.

3 Может быть, когда народ Иудеи услышит о всех невзгодах, которые Я задумал наслать на них, то каждый из них оставит свои злые пути; тогда Я прощу им их вину и грех.

4 Иеремия призвал Баруха, сына Нирии, и под диктовку Иеремии Барух записал в свиток все слова, которые Господь говорил Иеремии.

5 Затем Иеремия сказал Баруху: — Мне запрещено входить в дом Господень.

6 Поэтому ты пойди в дом Господень в день поста и прочитай народу из свитка Господни слова, которые ты записал с моих слов. Прочитай их всему народу Иудеи, который соберется со всех городов.

7 Может быть, они вознесут к Господу свою молитву, и отвратится каждый со своего злого пути — ведь страшны гнев и ярость, которыми Господь грозит этому народу.

17 Потом они спросили Баруха: — Просим тебя, расскажи нам, как ты написал все это? Со слов Иеремии?

18 — Да, — ответил Барух, — он говорил мне все эти слова, а я записывал чернилами в свиток.

19 Тогда приближенные сказали Баруху: — Ты и Иеремия идите и спрячьтесь, и пусть никто не знает, где вы.

20 Оставив свиток в комнате писаря Элишамы, они пошли в царский двор и доложили обо всем царю.

21 Царь послал Иегудия взять свиток, и Иегудий принес его из комнаты писаря Элишама и стал читать его царю и всем приближенным, которые стояли возле него.

22 Был девятый месяц, и царь сидел в зимней комнате перед камином, в котором горел огонь.

23 Когда Иегудий прочитывал три или четыре столбца свитка, царь отрезал их писарским ножом и бросал в камин. Он делал так до тех пор, пока в огне не сгорел весь свиток.

24 Царь и все его слуги, слышавшие все эти слова, не выказали страха и не разорвали своих одежд.

25 Элнафан, Делая и Гемария упрашивали царя не сжигать свиток, но он не послушал их.

26 Вместо этого царь приказал Иерахмеилу, члену царской семьи, Серае, сыну Азриила, и Шелемии, сыну Авдиила, взять под стражу писаря Баруха и пророка Иеремию. Но Господь укрыл их.

30 Поэтому так говорит Господь об Иоакиме, царе Иудеи: Не будет от него никого, кто сел бы на престоле Давида; его мертвое тело бросят незахороненным на дневной зной и на ночной холод.

31 Я накажу его, его детей и его слуг за их беззакония; Я нашлю на них, и на жителей Иерусалима, и на народ Иудеи все невзгоды, которыми Я им грозил, потому что они не слушали Меня».

32 Тогда Иеремия взял другой свиток, отдал его писарю Баруху, сыну Нирии, и под диктовку Иеремии Барух записал в него все слова того свитка, который был сожжен царем Иудеи Иоакимом. И было прибавлено много похожих слов к словам сожженного свитка.

3 It may be that194 the house1004 of Judah3063 will hear8085 853 all3605 the evil7451 which834 I595 purpose2803 to do6213 unto them; that4616 they may return7725 every man376 from his evil7451 way;4480 1870 that I may forgive5545 their iniquity5771 and their sin.2403

4 Then Jeremiah3414 called7121 853 Baruch1263 the son1121 of Neriah:5374 and Baruch1263 wrote3789 from the mouth4480 6310 of Jeremiah3414 853 all3605 the words1697 of the LORD,3068 which834 he had spoken1696 unto413 him, upon5921 a roll4039 of a book.5612

5 And Jeremiah3414 commanded6680 853 Baruch,1263 saying,559 I589 am shut up;6113 I cannot3201 3808 go935 into the house1004 of the LORD: 3068

6 Therefore go935 thou,859 and read7121 in the roll,4039 which834 thou hast written3789 from my mouth,4480 6310 853 the words1697 of the LORD3068 in the ears241 of the people5971 in the LORD's3068 house1004 upon the fasting6685 day:3117 and also1571 thou shalt read7121 them in the ears241 of all3605 Judah3063 that come935 out of their cities.4480 5892

7 It may be194 they will present5307 their supplication8467 before6440 the LORD,3068 and will return7725 every one376 from his evil7451 way:4480 1870 for3588 great1419 is the anger639 and the fury2534 that834 the LORD3068 hath pronounced1696 against413 this2088 people.5971

8 And Baruch1263 the son1121 of Neriah5374 did6213 according to all3605 that834 Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 commanded6680 him, reading7121 in the book5612 the words1697 of the LORD3068 in the LORD's3068 house.1004

9 And it came to pass1961 in the fifth2549 year8141 of Jehoiakim3079 the son1121 of Josiah2977 king4428 of Judah,3063 in the ninth8671 month,2320 that they proclaimed7121 a fast6685 before6440 the LORD3068 to all3605 the people5971 in Jerusalem,3389 and to all3605 the people5971 that came935 from the cities4480 5892 of Judah3063 unto Jerusalem.3389

11 When Michaiah4321 the son1121 of Gemariah,1587 the son1121 of Shaphan,8227 had heard8085 out of4480 5921 the book5612 853 all3605 the words1697 of the LORD,3068

12 Then he went down3381 into5921 the king's4428 house,1004 into5921 the scribe's5608 chamber:3957 and, lo,2009 all3605 the princes8269 sat3427 there,8033 even Elishama476 the scribe,5608 and Delaiah1806 the son1121 of Shemaiah,8098 and Elnathan494 the son1121 of Achbor,5907 and Gemariah1587 the son1121 of Shaphan,8227 and Zedekiah6667 the son1121 of Hananiah,2608 and all3605 the princes.8269

13 Then Michaiah4321 declared5046 unto them853 all3605 the words1697 that834 he had heard,8085 when Baruch1263 read7121 the book5612 in the ears241 of the people.5971

14 Therefore all3605 the princes8269 sent7971 853 Jehudi3065 the son1121 of Nethaniah,5418 the son1121 of Shelemiah,8018 the son1121 of Cushi,3570 unto413 Baruch,1263 saying,559 Take3947 in thine hand3027 the roll4039 wherein834 thou hast read7121 in the ears241 of the people,5971 and come.1980 So Baruch1263 the son1121 of Neriah5374 took3947 853 the roll4039 in his hand,3027 and came935 unto413 them.

15 And they said559 unto413 him, Sit down3427 now,4994 and read7121 it in our ears.241 So Baruch1263 read7121 it in their ears.241

16 Now it came to pass,1961 when they had heard8085 853 all3605 the words,1697 they were afraid6342 both413 one376 and other,7453 and said559 unto413 Baruch,1263 We will surely tell5046 5046 the king4428 of853 all3605 these428 words.1697

17 And they asked7592 Baruch,1263 saying,559 Tell5046 us now,4994 How349 didst thou write3789 853 all3605 these428 words1697 at his mouth?4480 6310

18 Then Baruch1263 answered559 them, He pronounced7121 853 all3605 these428 words1697 unto413 me with his mouth,4480 6310 and I589 wrote3789 them with ink1773 in5921 the book.5612

19 Then said559 the princes8269 unto413 Baruch,1263 Go,1980 hide5641 thee, thou859 and Jeremiah;3414 and let no408 man376 know3045 where375 ye be.

20 And they went in935 to413 the king4428 into the court,2691 but they laid up6485 the roll4039 in the chamber3957 of Elishama476 the scribe,5608 and told5046 853 all3605 the words1697 in the ears241 of the king.4428

21 So the king4428 sent7971 853 Jehudi3065 to fetch3947 853 the roll:4039 and he took3947 it out of Elishama476 the scribe's5608 chamber.4480 3957 And Jehudi3065 read7121 it in the ears241 of the king,4428 and in the ears241 of all3605 the princes8269 which stood5975 beside4480 5921 the king.4428

22 Now the king4428 sat3427 in the winterhouse1004 2779 in the ninth8671 month:2320 and there was a fire on the hearth254 burning1197 before6440 him.

23 And it came to pass,1961 that when Jehudi3065 had read7121 three7969 or four702 leaves,1817 he cut7167 it with the penknife,8593 5608 and cast7993 it into413 the fire784 that834 was on413 the hearth,254 until5704 all3605 the roll4039 was consumed8552 in5921 the fire784 that834 was on5921 the hearth.254

24 Yet they were not3808 afraid,6342 nor3808 rent7167 853 their garments,899 neither the king,4428 nor any3605 of his servants5650 that heard8085 853 all3605 these428 words.1697

25 Nevertheless1571 Elnathan494 and Delaiah1806 and Gemariah1587 had made intercession6293 to the king4428 that he would not1115 burn8313 853 the roll:4039 but he would not3808 hear8085 413 them.

26 But the king4428 commanded6680 853 Jerahmeel3396 the son1121 of Hammelech,4429 and Seraiah8304 the son1121 of Azriel,5837 and Shelemiah8018 the son1121 of Abdeel,5655 to take3947 853 Baruch1263 the scribe5608 and Jeremiah3414 the prophet:5030 but the LORD3068 hid5641 them.

27 Then the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to413 Jeremiah,3414 after that310 the king4428 had burned8313 853 the roll,4039 and the words1697 which834 Baruch1263 wrote3789 at the mouth4480 6310 of Jeremiah,3414 saying,559

28 Take3947 thee again7725 another312 roll,4039 and write3789 in5921 it853 all3605 the former7223 words1697 that834 were1961 in5921 the first7223 roll,4039 which834 Jehoiakim3079 the king4428 of Judah3063 hath burned.8313

29 And thou shalt say559 to5921 Jehoiakim3079 king4428 of Judah,3063 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD;3068 Thou859 hast burned8313 853 this2063 roll,4039 saying,559 Why4069 hast thou written3789 therein,5921 saying,559 The king4428 of Babylon894 shall certainly come935 935 and destroy7843 853 this2063 land,776 and shall cause to cease7673 from4480 thence man120 and beast?929

30 Therefore3651 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of5921 Jehoiakim3079 king4428 of Judah;3063 He shall have1961 none3808 to sit3427 upon5921 the throne3678 of David:1732 and his dead body5038 shall be1961 cast out7993 in the day3117 to the heat,2721 and in the night3915 to the frost.7140

31 And I will punish6485 5921 him and his seed2233 and his servants5650 for853 their iniquity;5771 and I will bring935 upon5921 them, and upon5921 the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem,3389 and upon413 the men376 of Judah,3063 853 all3605 the evil7451 that834 I have pronounced1696 against413 them; but they hearkened8085 not.3808

32 Then took3947 Jeremiah3414 another312 roll,4039 and gave5414 it to413 Baruch1263 the scribe,5608 the son1121 of Neriah;5374 who wrote3789 therein5921 from the mouth4480 6310 of Jeremiah3414 853 all3605 the words1697 of the book5612 which834 Jehoiakim3079 king4428 of Judah3063 had burned8313 in the fire:784 and there were added3254 besides5750 unto5921 them many7227 like1992 words.1697

23 And it came to pass,1961 that when Jehudi3065 had read7121 three7969 or four702 leaves,1817 he cut7167 it with the penknife,8593 5608 and cast7993 it into413 the fire784 that834 was on413 the hearth,254 until5704 all3605 the roll4039 was consumed8552 in5921 the fire784 that834 was on5921 the hearth.254

24 Царь и все его слуги, слышавшие все эти слова, не выказали страха и не разорвали своих одежд.

24 Yet they were not3808 afraid,6342 nor3808 rent7167 853 their garments,899 neither the king,4428 nor any3605 of his servants5650 that heard8085 853 all3605 these428 words.1697

25 Элнафан, Делая и Гемария упрашивали царя не сжигать свиток, но он не послушал их.

25 Nevertheless1571 Elnathan494 and Delaiah1806 and Gemariah1587 had made intercession6293 to the king4428 that he would not1115 burn8313 853 the roll:4039 but he would not3808 hear8085 413 them.

26 Вместо этого царь приказал Иерахмеилу, члену царской семьи, Серае, сыну Азриила, и Шелемии, сыну Авдиила, взять под стражу писаря Баруха и пророка Иеремию. Но Господь укрыл их.

26 But the king4428 commanded6680 853 Jerahmeel3396 the son1121 of Hammelech,4429 and Seraiah8304 the son1121 of Azriel,5837 and Shelemiah8018 the son1121 of Abdeel,5655 to take3947 853 Baruch1263 the scribe5608 and Jeremiah3414 the prophet:5030 but the LORD3068 hid5641 them.

27 После того как царь сжег свиток со словами, которые Барух записал со слов Иеремии, Господь сказал Иеремии:

27 Then the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to413 Jeremiah,3414 after that310 the king4428 had burned8313 853 the roll,4039 and the words1697 which834 Baruch1263 wrote3789 at the mouth4480 6310 of Jeremiah,3414 saying,559

28 — Возьми другой свиток и запиши в него все слова, какие были в первом свитке, который сжег Иоаким, царь Иудеи.

28 Take3947 thee again7725 another312 roll,4039 and write3789 in5921 it853 all3605 the former7223 words1697 that834 were1961 in5921 the first7223 roll,4039 which834 Jehoiakim3079 the king4428 of Judah3063 hath burned.8313

29 А Иоакиму, царю Иудеи, скажи: «Так говорит Господь: Ты сжег этот свиток и сказал: „Зачем ты написал, что царь Вавилона непременно явится и погубит эту землю, поразив на ней и людей, и зверей?“

29 And thou shalt say559 to5921 Jehoiakim3079 king4428 of Judah,3063 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD;3068 Thou859 hast burned8313 853 this2063 roll,4039 saying,559 Why4069 hast thou written3789 therein,5921 saying,559 The king4428 of Babylon894 shall certainly come935 935 and destroy7843 853 this2063 land,776 and shall cause to cease7673 from4480 thence man120 and beast?929

30 Поэтому так говорит Господь об Иоакиме, царе Иудеи: Не будет от него никого, кто сел бы на престоле Давида; его мертвое тело бросят незахороненным на дневной зной и на ночной холод.

30 Therefore3651 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of5921 Jehoiakim3079 king4428 of Judah;3063 He shall have1961 none3808 to sit3427 upon5921 the throne3678 of David:1732 and his dead body5038 shall be1961 cast out7993 in the day3117 to the heat,2721 and in the night3915 to the frost.7140

31 Я накажу его, его детей и его слуг за их беззакония; Я нашлю на них, и на жителей Иерусалима, и на народ Иудеи все невзгоды, которыми Я им грозил, потому что они не слушали Меня».

31 And I will punish6485 5921 him and his seed2233 and his servants5650 for853 their iniquity;5771 and I will bring935 upon5921 them, and upon5921 the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem,3389 and upon413 the men376 of Judah,3063 853 all3605 the evil7451 that834 I have pronounced1696 against413 them; but they hearkened8085 not.3808

32 Тогда Иеремия взял другой свиток, отдал его писарю Баруху, сыну Нирии, и под диктовку Иеремии Барух записал в него все слова того свитка, который был сожжен царем Иудеи Иоакимом. И было прибавлено много похожих слов к словам сожженного свитка.

32 Then took3947 Jeremiah3414 another312 roll,4039 and gave5414 it to413 Baruch1263 the scribe,5608 the son1121 of Neriah;5374 who wrote3789 therein5921 from the mouth4480 6310 of Jeremiah3414 853 all3605 the words1697 of the book5612 which834 Jehoiakim3079 king4428 of Judah3063 had burned8313 in the fire:784 and there were added3254 besides5750 unto5921 them many7227 like1992 words.1697
