Глава 25

1 Авраам взял себе другую жену, которую звали Хеттура.

2 Она родила ему Зимрана, Иокшана, Медана, Мадиана, Ишбака и Шуаха.

3 Иокшан был отцом Шевы и Дедана; потомками Дедана были ашуриты, летушиты и леюмиты.

4 Сыновья Мадиана: Ефа, Ефер, Енох, Авида и Элдага — все они потомки Хеттуры.

5 Авраам оставил все, что у него было, Исааку.

6 Сыновьям наложниц он еще при жизни дал подарки и отослал их от своего сына Исаака на восток, в восточную землю.

7 Всего Авраам прожил сто семьдесят пять лет.

8 Он испустил последний вздох и умер в глубокой старости, насытившись жизнью, и отошел к своим предкам.

9 Его сыновья Исаак и Измаил похоронили его в пещере Махпела рядом с Мамре, на поле хетта Эфрона, сына Цохара,

23 Господь сказал ей: — Два племени в чреве твоем, два народа произойдут из тебя и разделятся; один будет сильнее другого, и старший будет служить младшему.

24 Когда пришло ей время родить, во чреве ее действительно оказались мальчики-близнецы.

25 Первый родился красный, и все его тело было покрыто волосами как ворсистой одеждой; поэтому его назвали Исав.

26 Потом появился его брат, держась рукой за пятку Исава; поэтому он был назван Иаков. Исааку было шестьдесят лет, когда Ревекка родила их.

4 And the sons1121 of Midian;4080 Ephah,5891 and Epher,6081 and Hanoch,2585 and Abidah,28 and Eldaah.420 All3605 these428 were the children1121 of Keturah.6989

5 And Abraham85 gave5414 all3605 that he had to Isaac.3327

6 But to the sons1121 of the concubines,6370 which Abraham85 had, Abraham85 gave5414 gifts,4979 and sent7971 them away from Isaac3327 his son,1121 while he yet lived,2416 eastward,6924 to the east6924 country.776

8 Then Abraham85 gave up the ghost,1478 and died4191 in a good2896 old7872 age,7872 an old2205 man, and full7649 of years; and was gathered622 to his people.5971

9 And his sons1121 Isaac3327 and Ishmael3458 buried6912 him in the cave4631 of Machpelah,4375 in the field7704 of Ephron6085 the son1121 of Zohar6714 the Hittite,2850 which834 is before5921 6440 Mamre;4471

10 The field7704 which Abraham85 purchased7069 of the sons1121 of Heth:2845 there8033 was Abraham85 buried,6912 and Sarah8283 his wife.802

11 And it came1961 to pass after310 the death4194 of Abraham,85 that God430 blessed1288 his son1121 Isaac;3327 and Isaac3327 dwelled3427 by the well883 Lahairoi.883

12 Now these428 are the generations8435 of Ishmael,3458 Abraham's85 son,1121 whom834 Hagar1904 the Egyptian,4713 Sarah's8283 handmaid,8198 bore3205 to Abraham:85

13 And these428 are the names8034 of the sons1121 of Ishmael,3458 by their names,8034 according to their generations:8435 the firstborn1060 of Ishmael,3458 Nebajoth;5032 and Kedar,6938 and Adbeel,110 and Mibsam,4017

14 And Mishma,4927 and Dumah,1746 and Massa,4854

15 Hadar,1924 and Tema,8485 Jetur,3195 Naphish,5305 and Kedemah:6929

16 These428 are the sons1121 of Ishmael,3458 and these428 are their names,8034 by their towns,2691 and by their castles;2918 twelve8147 6240 princes5387 according to their nations.523

17 And these428 are the years8141 of the life2416 of Ishmael,3458 an hundred3967 and thirty7970 and seven7651 years:8141 and he gave up the ghost1478 and died;4191 and was gathered622 to his people.5971

18 And they dwelled7931 from Havilah2341 to Shur,7793 that is before6440 Egypt,4714 as you go935 toward Assyria:804 and he died5307 in the presence6440 of all3605 his brothers.251

19 And these428 are the generations8435 of Isaac,3327 Abraham's85 son:1121 Abraham85 begat3205 Isaac:3327

20 And Isaac3327 was forty705 years8141 old1121 when he took3947 Rebekah7259 to wife,802 the daughter1323 of Bethuel1328 the Syrian761 of Padanaram,6307 the sister269 to Laban3837 the Syrian.761

21 And Isaac3327 entreated6279 the LORD3068 for his wife,802 because3588 she was barren:6135 and the LORD3068 was entreated6279 of him, and Rebekah7259 his wife802 conceived.2029

22 And the children1121 struggled7533 together within7130 her; and she said,559 If518 it be so,3651 why4100 am I thus?2088 And she went3212 to inquire1875 of the LORD.3068

23 And the LORD3068 said559 to her, Two8147 nations1471 are in your womb,990 and two8147 manner of people3816 shall be separated6504 from your bowels;4578 and the one people3816 shall be stronger553 than the other people;3816 and the elder7227 shall serve5647 the younger.6810

24 And when her days3117 to be delivered3205 were fulfilled,4390 behold,2009 there were twins8380 in her womb.990

25 And the first7223 came3318 out red,132 all3605 over like an hairy8181 garment;155 and they called7121 his name8034 Esau.6215

26 And after310 that came3318 his brother251 out, and his hand3027 took hold270 on Esau's6215 heel;6119 and his name8034 was called7121 Jacob:3290 and Isaac3327 was three score8346 years8141 old1121 when she bore3205 them.

27 And the boys5288 grew:1431 and Esau6215 was a cunning3045 hunter,6718 a man376 of the field;7704 and Jacob3290 was a plain8535 man,376 dwelling3427 in tents.168

28 And Isaac3327 loved157 Esau,6215 because3588 he did eat6310 of his venison:6718 but Rebekah7259 loved157 Jacob.3290

29 And Jacob3290 sod2102 pottage:5138 and Esau6215 came935 from the field,7704 and he was faint:5889

30 And Esau6215 said559 to Jacob,3290 Feed3938 me, I pray4994 you, with that same2088 red122 pottage; for I am faint:5889 therefore5921 3651 was his name8034 called7121 Edom.123

31 And Jacob3290 said,559 Sell4376 me this day3117 your birthright.1062

32 And Esau6215 said,559 Behold,2009 I am at the point1980 to die:4191 and what4100 profit shall this2088 birthright1062 do to me?
