Глава 15

1 Приближались же к Нему все мытари и грешники слушать Его.

2 И роптали фарисеи и книжники, говоря: Он принимает грешников и ест с ними.

3 И сказал Он им такую притчу:

4 кто из вас, имея сто овец и потеряв одну из них, не покидает девяноста девяти в пустыне и не идет за пропавшей, доколе не найдет ее?

5 И найдя, он берет ее на плечи радуясь,

6 и придя к себе в дом, созывает друзей и соседей и говорит им: «порадуйтесь со мной, потому что я нашел овцу мою пропадавшую».

7 Говорю вам, что так на небе радость будет больше об одном грешнике кающемся, чем о девяноста девяти праведниках, которые не нуждаются в покаянии.

8 Или какая женщина, имеющая десять драхм, если потеряет одну драхму, не зажигает светильника и не метет дома и не ищет усердно, доколе не найдет?

9 И найдя, она созывает подруг и соседок и говорит: «порадуйтесь со мной, потому что я нашла драхму, которую потеряла».

10 Так, говорю вам, бывает радость пред ангелами Божиими об одном грешнике кающемся.

11 И Он сказал: у одного человека было два сына,

12 и сказал младший из них отцу: «отец, дай мне причитающуюся мне часть состояния». И он разделил между ними имение.

13 И спустя немного дней, собрав всё, младший сын уехал в страну далекую и там расточил свое состояние, живя разгульно.

14 И когда он истратил всё, настал сильный голод в той стране, и он начал нуждаться;

15 и пошел, пристал к одному из граждан той страны, и тот послал его на свои поля пасти свиней.

16 И он рад был бы наполнить чрево свое рожками, которые ели свиньи, и никто не давал ему.

17 И придя в себя, он сказал: «у скольких работников отца моего хлеб в изобилии, а я здесь погибаю от голода.

18 Встану, пойду к отцу моему и скажу ему: отец, согрешил я против неба и пред тобою;

19 я больше не достоин называться твоим сыном; поступи со мной, как с любым из твоих работников».

20 И он встал и пошел к отцу своему. И когда он был еще далеко, увидел его отец его и сжалился, и побежав, пал на шею ему и поцеловал его.

21 И сказал ему сын: «отец, согрешил я против неба и пред тобою; я больше не достоин называться твоим сыном».

22 И сказал отец рабам своим: «скорее достаньте лучшую одежду и оденьте его, и дайте перстень на руку его и обувь на ноги,

23 и приведите нашего откормленного теленка, заколите, будем есть и веселиться,

24 ибо этот сын мой мертв был и ожил, пропадал и нашелся». И начали веселиться.

25 А сын его старший был в поле; и когда, возвращаясь, приблизился к дому, услышал он музыку и пляску;

26 и призвав одного из слуг, он спрашивал, что бы это могло значить.

27 И тот сказал ему: «брат твой пришел, и заколол отец твой нашего откормленного теленка, так как принял его здоровым».

28 Он рассердился и не хотел войти. И отец его вышел и стал просить его.

29 А он ответил отцу: «вот, я столько лет служу тебе, и никогда заповеди твоей не преступал, и мне ты никогда не дал козленка, чтобы повеселиться мне с друзьями моими.

30 А когда пришел сын твой этот, проевший твое имение с блудницами, ты заколол для него откормленного теленка».

31 Он же сказал ему: «дитя мое, ты всегда со мною, и все мое — твое,

32 но надо было возвеселиться и возрадоваться тому, что брат твой этот мертв был и ожил, пропадал и нашелся».

Chapter 15

1 THEN the publicans and sinners drew near to him to hear him.

2 And the scribes and Pharisees murmured, saying, He receives even the sinners and eats with them.

3 So Jesus told them this parable,

4 What man among you has one hundred sheep, and if one of them should get lost, would he not leave the ninety and nine in the open, and go in search of the one which is lost, until he finds it?

5 And when he finds it he rejoices, and he takes it on his shoulders.

6 And he comes to his house, and invites his friends and neighbors, and says to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.

7 I say to you, that such will be the joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety and nine righteous, who need no repentance.

8 Or what woman who has ten coins, and should lose one of them, would not light a lamp and sweep the house, and search for it carefully, until she finds it?

9 And when she finds it, she calls her women friends and neighbors, and says to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my coin which was lost.

10 I say to you, that such will be the joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.

11 And Jesus said to them again, A man had two sons;

12 And his younger son said to him, My father, give me the portion, which is coming to me from your house. And he divided to them his possessions.

13 And after a few days, his younger son gathered everything that was his share, and went to a far-away country, and there he scattered his wealth in extravagant living.

14 And when all he had was gone, there was a severe famine in that country; and he began to be in need.

15 So he went and got acquainted with one of the men of the city of that country; and he sent him to the field to feed the swine.

16 And he craved to fill his stomach with the husks that the swine were eating; and yet no man would give him.

17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired workers are now in my father's house, who have plenty of bread, and I am here perishing with hunger!

18 I will rise and go to my father, and say to him, My father, I have sinned before heaven, and before you;

19 And I am no longer worthy to be called your son; just make me like one of your hired workers.

20 And he rose up and came to his father. And while he was yet at a distance, his father saw him, and had compassion on him, and he ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

21 And his son said to him, My father, I have sinned before heaven and before you, and I am not worthy to be called your son.

22 But his father said to his servants, Bring the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet;

23 And bring and kill the fat ox, and let us eat and be merry;

24 For this my son was dead, and has come to life; he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.

25 But his elder son was in the field; and as he came near the house, he heard the voice of the singing of many.

26 And he called one of the boys, and asked him what it was all about.

27 He said to him, Your brother has come; and your father has killed the fat ox, because he received him safe and well.

28 And he became angry and would not go in; so his father came out and besought him.

29 But he said to his father, Behold, how many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your commandment; and yet you never gave me even a kid, that I might make merry with my friends.

30 But for this son of yours, after he had wasted your wealth with harlots and come back, you have killed the fat ox.

31 His father said to him, My son, you are always with me, and everything which is mine is yours.

32 It was right for us to make merry and rejoice; for this your brother was dead and has come to life; and was lost and is found.

1 THEN the publicans and sinners drew near to him to hear him.

2 И роптали фарисеи и книжники, говоря: Он принимает грешников и ест с ними.

3 И сказал Он им такую притчу:

3 So Jesus told them this parable,

4 кто из вас, имея сто овец и потеряв одну из них, не покидает девяноста девяти в пустыне и не идет за пропавшей, доколе не найдет ее?

5 И найдя, он берет ее на плечи радуясь,

5 And when he finds it he rejoices, and he takes it on his shoulders.

6 и придя к себе в дом, созывает друзей и соседей и говорит им: «порадуйтесь со мной, потому что я нашел овцу мою пропадавшую».

6 And he comes to his house, and invites his friends and neighbors, and says to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.

7 Говорю вам, что так на небе радость будет больше об одном грешнике кающемся, чем о девяноста девяти праведниках, которые не нуждаются в покаянии.

15 и пошел, пристал к одному из граждан той страны, и тот послал его на свои поля пасти свиней.

15 So he went and got acquainted with one of the men of the city of that country; and he sent him to the field to feed the swine.

16 И он рад был бы наполнить чрево свое рожками, которые ели свиньи, и никто не давал ему.

16 And he craved to fill his stomach with the husks that the swine were eating; and yet no man would give him.

17 И придя в себя, он сказал: «у скольких работников отца моего хлеб в изобилии, а я здесь погибаю от голода.

17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired workers are now in my father's house, who have plenty of bread, and I am here perishing with hunger!

18 Встану, пойду к отцу моему и скажу ему: отец, согрешил я против неба и пред тобою;

18 I will rise and go to my father, and say to him, My father, I have sinned before heaven, and before you;

19 я больше не достоин называться твоим сыном; поступи со мной, как с любым из твоих работников».

19 And I am no longer worthy to be called your son; just make me like one of your hired workers.

20 И он встал и пошел к отцу своему. И когда он был еще далеко, увидел его отец его и сжалился, и побежав, пал на шею ему и поцеловал его.

20 And he rose up and came to his father. And while he was yet at a distance, his father saw him, and had compassion on him, and he ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

21 И сказал ему сын: «отец, согрешил я против неба и пред тобою; я больше не достоин называться твоим сыном».

21 And his son said to him, My father, I have sinned before heaven and before you, and I am not worthy to be called your son.

22 И сказал отец рабам своим: «скорее достаньте лучшую одежду и оденьте его, и дайте перстень на руку его и обувь на ноги,

22 But his father said to his servants, Bring the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet;

23 и приведите нашего откормленного теленка, заколите, будем есть и веселиться,

23 And bring and kill the fat ox, and let us eat and be merry;

24 ибо этот сын мой мертв был и ожил, пропадал и нашелся». И начали веселиться.

24 For this my son was dead, and has come to life; he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.

25 А сын его старший был в поле; и когда, возвращаясь, приблизился к дому, услышал он музыку и пляску;

25 But his elder son was in the field; and as he came near the house, he heard the voice of the singing of many.

26 и призвав одного из слуг, он спрашивал, что бы это могло значить.

26 And he called one of the boys, and asked him what it was all about.

27 И тот сказал ему: «брат твой пришел, и заколол отец твой нашего откормленного теленка, так как принял его здоровым».

27 He said to him, Your brother has come; and your father has killed the fat ox, because he received him safe and well.

28 Он рассердился и не хотел войти. И отец его вышел и стал просить его.

28 And he became angry and would not go in; so his father came out and besought him.

29 А он ответил отцу: «вот, я столько лет служу тебе, и никогда заповеди твоей не преступал, и мне ты никогда не дал козленка, чтобы повеселиться мне с друзьями моими.

29 But he said to his father, Behold, how many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your commandment; and yet you never gave me even a kid, that I might make merry with my friends.

30 А когда пришел сын твой этот, проевший твое имение с блудницами, ты заколол для него откормленного теленка».

30 But for this son of yours, after he had wasted your wealth with harlots and come back, you have killed the fat ox.

31 Он же сказал ему: «дитя мое, ты всегда со мною, и все мое — твое,

31 His father said to him, My son, you are always with me, and everything which is mine is yours.

32 но надо было возвеселиться и возрадоваться тому, что брат твой этот мертв был и ожил, пропадал и нашелся».

32 It was right for us to make merry and rejoice; for this your brother was dead and has come to life; and was lost and is found.
