Глава 11

1 Услышав сие Иавин, царь Гацорский, послал к Иоваву, царю Мадонскому, и к царю Шимронскому, и к царю Ахсафскому,

2 И к царям, которые жили к северу на горе и на долине с южной стороны Хиннарофа, и на низких местах, и в Нафоф-Доре к западу,

3 К Хананеям, которые жили к востоку и к морю, к Аморреям и Хеттеям, к Ферезеям и к Иевусеям, жившим на горе, и к Евеям, жившим подле Ермона в земле Массифе.

4 И выступили они и все ополчение их с ними, многочисленный народ, который множеством равнялся песку на берегу морском; и коней и колесниц было весьма много.

5 И собрались все цари сии, и пришли и расположились станом вместе при водах Меромских, дабы сразиться с Израилем.

6 Но Господь сказал Иисусу: не бойся их; ибо завтра, около сего времени, Я предам всех [их] на избиение [сынам] Израиля; коням же их перережь жилы, и колесницы их сожги огнем.

7 Иисус и с ним весь народ, способный к войне, внезапно вышли на них к водам Меромским, и напали на них [на горе].

8 И предал их Господь в руки Израильтян, и поразили они их, и преследовали их до Сидона великого, и до Мисрефоф-Маима и до долины Мицфы к востоку, и перебили их, так что никого из них не осталось, кто бы уцелел [и избежал].

9 И поступил Иисус с ними так, как сказал ему Господь: коням их перерезал жилы, и колесницы их сожег огнем.

10 В то же время, возвратившись, Иисус взял Гацор, и царя его убил мечем, (Гацор же прежде был главою всех царств сих.)

11 И побили все дышущее, что было в нем, мечем, [все] предав заклятию; не осталось ни одной души; а Гацор сожег он огнем.

12 И все города царей сих и всех царей их взял Иисус и побил их мечем, предав их заклятию, так как повелел Моисей, раб Господень.

13 Впрочем, всех городов, лежавших на возвышенности, не жгли Израильтяне, кроме одного Гацора, который сжег Иисус.

14 А всю добычу городов сих и [весь] скот разграбили сыны Израилевы себе; людей же всех перебили мечем, так что истребили всех их; не оставили [из них] ни одной души.

15 Как повелел Господь Моисею, рабу Своему, так Моисей заповедал Иисусу, а Иисус так и сделал; не отступил ни от одного слова во всем, что повелел Господь Моисею.

16 Таким образом Иисус взял всю нагорную сию землю, всю землю полуденную, всю землю Гошен и низкие места, и равнину и гору Израилеву, и низкие места [при горе],

17 От горы Халак, простирающейся к Сеиру, до Ваал-Гада в долине Ливанской, подле горы Ермона, и всех царей их взял, поразил их и убил.

18 Долгое время вел Иисус войну со всеми сими царями.

19 Не было [ни одного] города, который бы заключил мир с сынами Израилевыми, кроме Евеев, жителей Гаваона; все взяли они войною.

20 Ибо от Господа было то, что они ожесточили сердце свое и войною встречали Израиля, для того, чтобы преданы они были заклятию, и чтобы не было им помилования; но чтобы истреблены были, так как повелел Господь Моисею.

21 В то же время пришел Иисус и поразил [всех] Енакимов на горе, в Хевроне, в Давире, в Анаве, на всей горе Иудиной и на всей горе Израилевой, с городами их предал их Иисус заклятию.

22 Не остался [ни один] из Енакимов в земле сынов Израилевых; остались только в Газе, в Гефе и в Азоте.

23 Таким образом взял Иисус всю землю, как говорил Господь Моисею, и отдал ее Иисус в удел Израильтянам, по разделению колен их. И успокоилась земля от войны.

Joshua

Chapter 11

1 AND when Nabin king of Hazur heard of these things, he sent to Jobab king of Meron, and to the king of Shamrin, and to the king of Achshaph,

2 And to the kings that were north of him in the mountains, and to the south, and in the plain of Chinnereth, and in the valleys and in Napotdor on the west,

3 And to the Canaanites on the east and on the west, and to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Jebusites in the mountains, and to the Hivites below mount Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.

4 And they came out with all their hosts, many people, as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with many horses and chariots.

5 And when all these kings were met together, they came and encamped together at the waters of Meron, and prepared to fight against Israel.

6 And the LORD said to Joshua, Do not be afraid of them; for tomorrow about this time I will cause them to be routed before Israel; and I will annihilate their horses and burn their chariots with fire.

7 So Joshua came suddenly to the waters of Meron, he and all the people of war who were with him; and they fell upon them.

8 And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them and pursued them as far as great Zidon, and to the lake, and as far as the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, and they left none remaining.

9 And Joshua did to them as the LORD had told him: he utterly destroyed their horses and burned their chariots with fire.

10 And Joshua at that time turned back and took Hazor, and slew its king with the sword; for Hazor before had been the head of all those kingdoms.

11 And they smote with the edge of the sword all the people that were in it, utterly destroying them; there was not a soul left among them; and he burned Hazor with fire.

12 And all the cities of those kings, and all their kings, Joshua took and smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded him.

13 And all the towns that stood on the hills did Israel burn, and Joshua burned Hazor.

14 And all the spoil of these cities and the cattle, the children of Israel took for themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword until they had annihilated them, and they did not leave a soul among them.

15 Just as the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses.

16 So Joshua took all that land, the mountain country and all the south country and all the land of the plain and all the mountains and their lowlands;

17 From mount Paleg that goes up to Seir, as far as Gadgad in the valley of Lebanon below mount Hermon; and all their kings Joshua took and slew.

18 Joshua made war for a long time with all those kings.

19 There was not a city that was not delivered up to the children of Israel, and they destroyed it, except the Hivites who dwell in Gibeon, whom Joshua allowed to live, and work for Israel. Now all these kingdoms are seven in number, and Joshua destroyed them all.

20 For it was of the LORD to encourage their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that they might destroy them utterly, and that they might not have compassion upon them, but that they might destroy them, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

21 And at that time came Joshua and smote the giants who were in the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Gebal and from all the mountains of Judah and from all the mountains of Israel; Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities.

22 There was none of the giants left remaining in the land of the children of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did any remain.

23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had spoken to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.

4 И выступили они и все ополчение их с ними, многочисленный народ, который множеством равнялся песку на берегу морском; и коней и колесниц было весьма много.

4 And they came out with all their hosts, many people, as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with many horses and chariots.

5 И собрались все цари сии, и пришли и расположились станом вместе при водах Меромских, дабы сразиться с Израилем.

5 And when all these kings were met together, they came and encamped together at the waters of Meron, and prepared to fight against Israel.

6 Но Господь сказал Иисусу: не бойся их; ибо завтра, около сего времени, Я предам всех [их] на избиение [сынам] Израиля; коням же их перережь жилы, и колесницы их сожги огнем.

6 And the LORD said to Joshua, Do not be afraid of them; for tomorrow about this time I will cause them to be routed before Israel; and I will annihilate their horses and burn their chariots with fire.

7 Иисус и с ним весь народ, способный к войне, внезапно вышли на них к водам Меромским, и напали на них [на горе].

7 So Joshua came suddenly to the waters of Meron, he and all the people of war who were with him; and they fell upon them.

8 И предал их Господь в руки Израильтян, и поразили они их, и преследовали их до Сидона великого, и до Мисрефоф-Маима и до долины Мицфы к востоку, и перебили их, так что никого из них не осталось, кто бы уцелел [и избежал].

8 And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them and pursued them as far as great Zidon, and to the lake, and as far as the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, and they left none remaining.

9 И поступил Иисус с ними так, как сказал ему Господь: коням их перерезал жилы, и колесницы их сожег огнем.

9 And Joshua did to them as the LORD had told him: he utterly destroyed their horses and burned their chariots with fire.

10 В то же время, возвратившись, Иисус взял Гацор, и царя его убил мечем, (Гацор же прежде был главою всех царств сих.)

10 And Joshua at that time turned back and took Hazor, and slew its king with the sword; for Hazor before had been the head of all those kingdoms.

11 И побили все дышущее, что было в нем, мечем, [все] предав заклятию; не осталось ни одной души; а Гацор сожег он огнем.

11 And they smote with the edge of the sword all the people that were in it, utterly destroying them; there was not a soul left among them; and he burned Hazor with fire.

12 И все города царей сих и всех царей их взял Иисус и побил их мечем, предав их заклятию, так как повелел Моисей, раб Господень.

12 And all the cities of those kings, and all their kings, Joshua took and smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded him.

13 Впрочем, всех городов, лежавших на возвышенности, не жгли Израильтяне, кроме одного Гацора, который сжег Иисус.

13 And all the towns that stood on the hills did Israel burn, and Joshua burned Hazor.

14 А всю добычу городов сих и [весь] скот разграбили сыны Израилевы себе; людей же всех перебили мечем, так что истребили всех их; не оставили [из них] ни одной души.

14 And all the spoil of these cities and the cattle, the children of Israel took for themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword until they had annihilated them, and they did not leave a soul among them.

15 Как повелел Господь Моисею, рабу Своему, так Моисей заповедал Иисусу, а Иисус так и сделал; не отступил ни от одного слова во всем, что повелел Господь Моисею.

15 Just as the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses.

16 Таким образом Иисус взял всю нагорную сию землю, всю землю полуденную, всю землю Гошен и низкие места, и равнину и гору Израилеву, и низкие места [при горе],

16 So Joshua took all that land, the mountain country and all the south country and all the land of the plain and all the mountains and their lowlands;

17 От горы Халак, простирающейся к Сеиру, до Ваал-Гада в долине Ливанской, подле горы Ермона, и всех царей их взял, поразил их и убил.

17 From mount Paleg that goes up to Seir, as far as Gadgad in the valley of Lebanon below mount Hermon; and all their kings Joshua took and slew.

18 Долгое время вел Иисус войну со всеми сими царями.

18 Joshua made war for a long time with all those kings.

19 Не было [ни одного] города, который бы заключил мир с сынами Израилевыми, кроме Евеев, жителей Гаваона; все взяли они войною.

19 There was not a city that was not delivered up to the children of Israel, and they destroyed it, except the Hivites who dwell in Gibeon, whom Joshua allowed to live, and work for Israel. Now all these kingdoms are seven in number, and Joshua destroyed them all.

20 Ибо от Господа было то, что они ожесточили сердце свое и войною встречали Израиля, для того, чтобы преданы они были заклятию, и чтобы не было им помилования; но чтобы истреблены были, так как повелел Господь Моисею.

20 For it was of the LORD to encourage their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that they might destroy them utterly, and that they might not have compassion upon them, but that they might destroy them, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

21 В то же время пришел Иисус и поразил [всех] Енакимов на горе, в Хевроне, в Давире, в Анаве, на всей горе Иудиной и на всей горе Израилевой, с городами их предал их Иисус заклятию.

21 And at that time came Joshua and smote the giants who were in the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Gebal and from all the mountains of Judah and from all the mountains of Israel; Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities.

22 Не остался [ни один] из Енакимов в земле сынов Израилевых; остались только в Газе, в Гефе и в Азоте.

22 There was none of the giants left remaining in the land of the children of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did any remain.

23 Таким образом взял Иисус всю землю, как говорил Господь Моисею, и отдал ее Иисус в удел Израильтянам, по разделению колен их. И успокоилась земля от войны.

23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had spoken to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.
