Глава 12

1 Итак, Иисус за шесть дней до Пасхи пришел в Вифанию, где был Лазарь, которого Иисус воздвиг из мертвых.

2 Сделали Ему там вечерю, и Марфа служила. Лазарь же был одним из возлежащих с Ним.

3 Тогда Мария, взяв фунт мира из нарда чистого, многоценного, помазала ноги Иисуса и отерла волосами своими ноги Его, и дом наполнился благоуханием мира.

4 И говорит Иуда Искариот, один из учеников Его, которому предстояло предать Его:

5 почему не продали это миро за триста динариев и не дали нищим?

6 Сказал же он это не потому, что бы заботился о нищих, но потому, что был вор и, имея денежный ящик, брал то, что туда опускали.

7 Сказал тогда Иисус: оставь ее; нужно было, чтобы сберегла она миро на день погребения Моего.

8 Ибо нищих вы всегда имеете с собою, Меня же не всегда имеете.

9 Узнало тогда много народа из Иудеев, что Он там, и пришли не ради Иисуса только, но чтобы и Лазаря увидеть, которого Он воздвиг из мертвых.

10 Первосвященники же решили убить и Лазаря,

11 потому что многие из Иудеев ради него приходили и веровали в Иисуса.

12 На другой день много народа, пришедшего на Праздник, услышав, что Иисус идет в Иерусалим,

13 взяли пальмовые ветви и вышли навстречу Ему и восклицали: Осанна! Благословен Грядущий во имя Господне и Царь Израилев!

14 Иисус же, найдя осленка, сел на него, как написано:

15 Не бойся, дочь Сиона: вот, Царь твой грядет, сидя на молодом осле.

16 Этого ученики Его не поняли сперва, но когда был прославлен Иисус, тогда они вспомнили, что это было о Нем написано, и это сделали Ему.

17 Свидетельствовал же народ, который был с Ним, когда Он воззвал Лазаря из гробницы и воздвиг его из мертвых.

18 Потому и вышел народ к Нему навстречу, что услышали, что Он сотворил это знамение.

19 Фарисеи же сказали друг другу: вы видите, что ничего вы не достигаете, вот мир пошел за Ним.

20 Из шедших на поклонение в Праздник были некоторые Еллины.

21 Они пришли к Филиппу, который был из Вифсаиды Галилейской, и просили его, говоря: господин, мы хотим видеть Иисуса.

22 Приходит Филипп и говорит Андрею; приходят Андрей и Филипп и говорят Иисусу.

23 Иисус же отвечает им, говоря: пришел час быть прославленным Сыну Человеческому.

24 Истинно, истинно говорю вам: если зерно пшеничное, упав на землю, не умрет, оно остается одно; если же умрет, приносит много плода.

25 Любящий душу свою губит ее, и ненавидящий душу свою в мире сем в жизнь вечную сохранит ее.

26 Если Мне кто служит, за Мною да следует, и где Я, там и слуга Мой будет. Если кто Мне служит, почтит его Отец.

27 Теперь душа Моя смущена, и что Мне сказать? Отче, спаси Меня от часа сего; но ради этого Я пришел, на час сей.

28 Отче, прославь Твое имя. Раздался тогда голос с неба: и прославил и еще прославлю.

29 Народ же, стоявший и слышавший, говорил: это гром. Другие говорили: ангел говорил с Ним.

30 Ответил Иисус и сказал: не для Меня голос этот, но для вас.

31 Теперь суд миру сему; теперь князь мира сего извергнут будет вон.

32 И Я, когда вознесён буду от земли, всех привлеку к Себе.

33 Это Он говорил, давая понять, какою смертью предстояло Ему умереть.

34 Ответил Ему народ: мы слышали в Законе, что Христос пребывает вовек, а как же Ты говоришь, что должен быть вознесён Сын Человеческий? Кто этот Сын Человеческий?

35 Сказал им Иисус: еще малое время свет между вами. Ходите, пока имеете свет, чтобы тьма вас не объяла. И ходящий во тьме не знает, куда идет.

36 Пока имеете свет, веруйте в свет, чтобы стать вам сынами света. Это сказал Иисус, и уйдя скрылся от них.

37 После того, как Он столько знамений сотворил перед ними, они не верили в Него,

38 дабы исполнилось слово Исаии пророка, которое он сказал: Господи, кто поверил слышанному от нас, и рука Господня кому открылась?

39 Они потому не могли верить, что еще сказал Исаия:

40 Он ослепил их глаза и сделал жёстким их сердце, чтобы не увидели они глазами и не поняли сердцем, и не обратились. И Я исцелю их.

41 Это сказал Исаия, потому что увидел славу Его и сказал о Нем.

42 Впрочем, и из начальников многие уверовали в Него, но из-за фарисеев не исповедовали, чтобы не быть отлученными от синагоги;

43 ибо возлюбили славу человеческую больше, чем славу Божию.

44 Иисус же возгласил и сказал: верующий в Меня не в Меня верует, но в Пославшего Меня,

45 и видящий Меня видит Пославшего Меня.

46 Я в мир пришел, как свет, чтобы ни один верующий в Меня не пребыл во тьме.

47 И если кто услышит Мои слова и не сохранит, Я не сужу его, ибо Я пришел не судить мир, но спасти мир.

48 Для отвергающего Меня и не принимающего Моих слов есть судья: слово, которое Я изрек, оно будет судить его в последний день.

49 Потому что Я не от Себя изрек, но Пославший Меня Отец Сам Мне заповедь дал, что Мне сказать, и что изречь.

50 И знаю, что заповедь Его есть жизнь вечная. Итак, что Я говорю, — как сказал Мне Отец, так и говорю.

Chapter 12

1 SIX days before the passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.

2 And they gave him a banquet there; Martha served; but Lazarus was one of the guests who were with him.

3 Then Mary took a cruse containing pure and expensive nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

4 And Judas of Iscariot, one of his disciples, who was about to betray him, said,

5 Why was not this oil sold for three hundred pennies, and given to the poor?

6 He said this, not because he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and the purse was with him, and he carried whatever was put in it.

7 Jesus then said, Leave her alone; she has kept it for the day of my burial.

8 For you have the poor always with you, but me you have not always.

9 Many people of the Jews heard that Jesus was there; so they came, not only on account of Jesus, but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.

10 And the high priests were thinking of killing Lazarus also;

11 Because on his account a great many Jews were leaving and believing in Jesus.

12 On the next day, a large crowd which had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

13 Took branches of palm trees, and went out to greet him, and they cried out and said, Hosanna, Blessed is the king of Israel who comes in the name of the Lord.

14 And Jesus found an ass and sat on it; as it is written,

15 Fear not, O daughter of Zion; behold, your king cometh to you, riding on the colt of an ass.

16 His disciples did not understand these things at that time; but when Jesus was glorified, then his disciples remembered that these things were written concerning him, and that they had done these things to him.

17 The people who were with him testified that he had called Lazarus from the tomb, and raised him from the dead.

18 It was on this account that large crowds went out to meet him, for they heard that he had performed this miracle.

19 The Pharisees said one to another, Do you see that you have not been able to gain anything? Behold, all the people have gone after him.

20 Now there were some Gentiles * among them who had come up to worship at the feast.

21 They came and approached Philip of Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, My lord, we would like to see Jesus.

22 Philip came and told Andrew; then Andrew and Philip told Jesus.

23 Jesus answered and said to them, The hour has come that the Son of man should be glorified.

24 Truly, truly, I say to you, that unless a grain of wheat falls and dies in the ground, it will be left alone; but if it dies, it produces much fruit.

25 He who loves his life will lose it; and he who has no concern for his life in this world will keep it unto life eternal.

26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there also will my servant be; he who serves me, him my Father will honor.

27 Now my soul is disturbed, and what shall I say? O my Father, deliver me from this hour; but for this cause I came to this very hour.

28 O Father, glorify your name. Then a voice was heard from heaven, I am glorified, and I shall again be glorified.

29 And the people who stood by heard it, and said, It was thunder; others said, An angel spoke to him.

30 Jesus answered and said to them, This voice was not on my account, but for your sake.

31 Now is the judgment of this world; now the leader of this world will be cast out.

32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw every man to me.

33 He said this, to show by what kind of death he was to die.

34 The people said to him, We have heard from the law that the Christ shall remain forever; how do you say that the Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

35 Jesus said to them, The light is with you for a little while; walk while you have the light, so that the darkness may not overcome you; and he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.

36 While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become the sons of the light. Jesus spoke these things, and went away and hid himself from them.

37 Even though he had performed all of these miracles before them, yet they did not believe in him;

38 So that the word of the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled, who said, My Lord, who will believe our report, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

39 For this reason, they could not believe, because Isaiah said again,

40 Their eyes have become blind and their heart darkened, so that they cannot see with their eyes and understand with their heart; let them return and I will heal them.

41 Isaiah said these things, when he saw his glory and spoke concerning him.

42 Many of the leading men also believed in him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they might not be cast out of the synagogue.

43 For they loved the honor of men more than the glory of God.

44 Jesus cried out and said, He who believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me.

45 And he who sees me, has already seen him who sent me.

46 I have come into the world as the light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness.

47 And he who hears my words, and does not obey them, I will not judge him; for I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

48 He who oppresses me and does not receive my words, there is one who will judge him; the word which I have spoken, it will judge him at the last day.

49 For I did not speak of myself; but the Father who sent me, he commanded me what to say and what to speak.

50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting; these things therefore which I speak, just as my Father told me, so I speak.

1 Итак, Иисус за шесть дней до Пасхи пришел в Вифанию, где был Лазарь, которого Иисус воздвиг из мертвых.

1 SIX days before the passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.

2 Сделали Ему там вечерю, и Марфа служила. Лазарь же был одним из возлежащих с Ним.

2 And they gave him a banquet there; Martha served; but Lazarus was one of the guests who were with him.

3 Тогда Мария, взяв фунт мира из нарда чистого, многоценного, помазала ноги Иисуса и отерла волосами своими ноги Его, и дом наполнился благоуханием мира.

3 Then Mary took a cruse containing pure and expensive nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

4 И говорит Иуда Искариот, один из учеников Его, которому предстояло предать Его:

4 And Judas of Iscariot, one of his disciples, who was about to betray him, said,

5 почему не продали это миро за триста динариев и не дали нищим?

5 Why was not this oil sold for three hundred pennies, and given to the poor?

6 Сказал же он это не потому, что бы заботился о нищих, но потому, что был вор и, имея денежный ящик, брал то, что туда опускали.

6 He said this, not because he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and the purse was with him, and he carried whatever was put in it.

7 Сказал тогда Иисус: оставь ее; нужно было, чтобы сберегла она миро на день погребения Моего.

7 Jesus then said, Leave her alone; she has kept it for the day of my burial.

8 Ибо нищих вы всегда имеете с собою, Меня же не всегда имеете.

8 For you have the poor always with you, but me you have not always.

9 Узнало тогда много народа из Иудеев, что Он там, и пришли не ради Иисуса только, но чтобы и Лазаря увидеть, которого Он воздвиг из мертвых.

9 Many people of the Jews heard that Jesus was there; so they came, not only on account of Jesus, but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.

10 Первосвященники же решили убить и Лазаря,

10 And the high priests were thinking of killing Lazarus also;

11 потому что многие из Иудеев ради него приходили и веровали в Иисуса.

11 Because on his account a great many Jews were leaving and believing in Jesus.

12 На другой день много народа, пришедшего на Праздник, услышав, что Иисус идет в Иерусалим,

12 On the next day, a large crowd which had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

13 взяли пальмовые ветви и вышли навстречу Ему и восклицали: Осанна! Благословен Грядущий во имя Господне и Царь Израилев!

13 Took branches of palm trees, and went out to greet him, and they cried out and said, Hosanna, Blessed is the king of Israel who comes in the name of the Lord.

14 Иисус же, найдя осленка, сел на него, как написано:

14 And Jesus found an ass and sat on it; as it is written,

15 Не бойся, дочь Сиона: вот, Царь твой грядет, сидя на молодом осле.

15 Fear not, O daughter of Zion; behold, your king cometh to you, riding on the colt of an ass.

16 Этого ученики Его не поняли сперва, но когда был прославлен Иисус, тогда они вспомнили, что это было о Нем написано, и это сделали Ему.

16 His disciples did not understand these things at that time; but when Jesus was glorified, then his disciples remembered that these things were written concerning him, and that they had done these things to him.

17 Свидетельствовал же народ, который был с Ним, когда Он воззвал Лазаря из гробницы и воздвиг его из мертвых.

17 The people who were with him testified that he had called Lazarus from the tomb, and raised him from the dead.

18 Потому и вышел народ к Нему навстречу, что услышали, что Он сотворил это знамение.

18 It was on this account that large crowds went out to meet him, for they heard that he had performed this miracle.

19 Фарисеи же сказали друг другу: вы видите, что ничего вы не достигаете, вот мир пошел за Ним.

19 The Pharisees said one to another, Do you see that you have not been able to gain anything? Behold, all the people have gone after him.

20 Из шедших на поклонение в Праздник были некоторые Еллины.

20 Now there were some Gentiles * among them who had come up to worship at the feast.

21 Они пришли к Филиппу, который был из Вифсаиды Галилейской, и просили его, говоря: господин, мы хотим видеть Иисуса.

21 They came and approached Philip of Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, My lord, we would like to see Jesus.

22 Приходит Филипп и говорит Андрею; приходят Андрей и Филипп и говорят Иисусу.

22 Philip came and told Andrew; then Andrew and Philip told Jesus.

23 Иисус же отвечает им, говоря: пришел час быть прославленным Сыну Человеческому.

23 Jesus answered and said to them, The hour has come that the Son of man should be glorified.

24 Истинно, истинно говорю вам: если зерно пшеничное, упав на землю, не умрет, оно остается одно; если же умрет, приносит много плода.

24 Truly, truly, I say to you, that unless a grain of wheat falls and dies in the ground, it will be left alone; but if it dies, it produces much fruit.

25 Любящий душу свою губит ее, и ненавидящий душу свою в мире сем в жизнь вечную сохранит ее.

25 He who loves his life will lose it; and he who has no concern for his life in this world will keep it unto life eternal.

26 Если Мне кто служит, за Мною да следует, и где Я, там и слуга Мой будет. Если кто Мне служит, почтит его Отец.

26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there also will my servant be; he who serves me, him my Father will honor.

27 Теперь душа Моя смущена, и что Мне сказать? Отче, спаси Меня от часа сего; но ради этого Я пришел, на час сей.

27 Now my soul is disturbed, and what shall I say? O my Father, deliver me from this hour; but for this cause I came to this very hour.

28 Отче, прославь Твое имя. Раздался тогда голос с неба: и прославил и еще прославлю.

28 O Father, glorify your name. Then a voice was heard from heaven, I am glorified, and I shall again be glorified.

29 Народ же, стоявший и слышавший, говорил: это гром. Другие говорили: ангел говорил с Ним.

29 And the people who stood by heard it, and said, It was thunder; others said, An angel spoke to him.

30 Ответил Иисус и сказал: не для Меня голос этот, но для вас.

30 Jesus answered and said to them, This voice was not on my account, but for your sake.

31 Теперь суд миру сему; теперь князь мира сего извергнут будет вон.

31 Now is the judgment of this world; now the leader of this world will be cast out.

32 И Я, когда вознесён буду от земли, всех привлеку к Себе.

32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw every man to me.

33 Это Он говорил, давая понять, какою смертью предстояло Ему умереть.

33 He said this, to show by what kind of death he was to die.

34 Ответил Ему народ: мы слышали в Законе, что Христос пребывает вовек, а как же Ты говоришь, что должен быть вознесён Сын Человеческий? Кто этот Сын Человеческий?

34 The people said to him, We have heard from the law that the Christ shall remain forever; how do you say that the Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

35 Сказал им Иисус: еще малое время свет между вами. Ходите, пока имеете свет, чтобы тьма вас не объяла. И ходящий во тьме не знает, куда идет.

35 Jesus said to them, The light is with you for a little while; walk while you have the light, so that the darkness may not overcome you; and he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.

36 Пока имеете свет, веруйте в свет, чтобы стать вам сынами света. Это сказал Иисус, и уйдя скрылся от них.

36 While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become the sons of the light. Jesus spoke these things, and went away and hid himself from them.

37 После того, как Он столько знамений сотворил перед ними, они не верили в Него,

37 Even though he had performed all of these miracles before them, yet they did not believe in him;

38 дабы исполнилось слово Исаии пророка, которое он сказал: Господи, кто поверил слышанному от нас, и рука Господня кому открылась?

38 So that the word of the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled, who said, My Lord, who will believe our report, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

39 Они потому не могли верить, что еще сказал Исаия:

39 For this reason, they could not believe, because Isaiah said again,

40 Он ослепил их глаза и сделал жёстким их сердце, чтобы не увидели они глазами и не поняли сердцем, и не обратились. И Я исцелю их.

40 Their eyes have become blind and their heart darkened, so that they cannot see with their eyes and understand with their heart; let them return and I will heal them.

41 Это сказал Исаия, потому что увидел славу Его и сказал о Нем.

41 Isaiah said these things, when he saw his glory and spoke concerning him.

42 Впрочем, и из начальников многие уверовали в Него, но из-за фарисеев не исповедовали, чтобы не быть отлученными от синагоги;

42 Many of the leading men also believed in him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they might not be cast out of the synagogue.

43 ибо возлюбили славу человеческую больше, чем славу Божию.

43 For they loved the honor of men more than the glory of God.

44 Иисус же возгласил и сказал: верующий в Меня не в Меня верует, но в Пославшего Меня,

44 Jesus cried out and said, He who believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me.

45 и видящий Меня видит Пославшего Меня.

45 And he who sees me, has already seen him who sent me.

46 Я в мир пришел, как свет, чтобы ни один верующий в Меня не пребыл во тьме.

46 I have come into the world as the light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness.

47 И если кто услышит Мои слова и не сохранит, Я не сужу его, ибо Я пришел не судить мир, но спасти мир.

47 And he who hears my words, and does not obey them, I will not judge him; for I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

48 Для отвергающего Меня и не принимающего Моих слов есть судья: слово, которое Я изрек, оно будет судить его в последний день.

48 He who oppresses me and does not receive my words, there is one who will judge him; the word which I have spoken, it will judge him at the last day.

49 Потому что Я не от Себя изрек, но Пославший Меня Отец Сам Мне заповедь дал, что Мне сказать, и что изречь.

49 For I did not speak of myself; but the Father who sent me, he commanded me what to say and what to speak.

50 И знаю, что заповедь Его есть жизнь вечная. Итак, что Я говорю, — как сказал Мне Отец, так и говорю.

50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting; these things therefore which I speak, just as my Father told me, so I speak.
