Глава 7

1 В четвертый год царя Дария, было слово Иеговы к Захарии, в четвертый день месяца девятого, Хислева.

2 И прислал Вефиль Шарецера и Регем-Мелеха, и людей его, помолиться пред лицем Иеговы,

3 И спросить у священников, которые в доме Иеговы воинств, и у пророков: `сетовать ли мне в пятом месяце; и держать ли пост, так как я делал столько-то лет?`

4 И было ко мне слово Иеговы воинств, и сказано:

5 Скажи всему народу земли и священникам: когда вы постились и сетовали в пятый и седьмой месяц эти семьдесят лет; то для Меня ли вы постились?

6 И когда вы ели, и когда пили; то не вы ли ели, и не вы ли пили?

7 Не то ли это самое, что изрек Иегова чрез прежних пророков, когда Иерусалим жил в благоденствии и города его вокруг его, и южная часть земли и низменность были населены?

8 И было слово Иеговы к Захарии, и сказано:

9 Так говорил Иегова воинств: производите праведный суд и оказывайте милость и сострадание друг другу.

10 И вдовы, и сироты, пришельца и бедного не обижайте; и друг на друга не умышляйте зла в сердце вашем.

11 Но они не хотели внимать, и оборотились упрямою спиною, и уши свои заградили, чтоб не слышать.

12 И сердце свое сделали адамантовым, чтобы не слушать закона и слов, которые посылал Иегова воинств Духом Своим посредством пророков прежних, за что и пришел на них великий гнев от Иеговы воинств.

13 И как Он взывал, а они не слушали; так и они взывали, а Я не слушал, говорит Иегова воинств.

14 И Я развеял их по всем народам, которых они не знали; и земля после них опустела, так что не стал никто ходить ни взад, ни вперед, и сделали прекрасную землю пустынею.

Zechariah

Chapter 7

1 AND it came to pass in the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, which is Canun,

2 When they had sent to Beth-el, Sherezar and Rab-mag, and the king and his mighty men had sent word to pray for him before the LORD,

3 And to speak to the priests who were in the house of the LORD of hosts and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

4 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

5 Speak to all the people of the land and to the priests, saying, When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months, for these seventy years, did you at all fast to me?

6 And when you did eat and when you did drink, did you not eat for yourselves and drink for yourselves?

7 These were the very words which the LORD proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, when her towns were round about her and when the mountains and plains were inhabited.

8 And the word of the LORD came to Zechariah, saying,

9 Thus says the LORD of hosts: Execute true judgment, and show mercy and compassion every man to his brother;

10 And do not oppress the widow nor the orphan, the poor nor the proselyte; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in his heart.

11 But they refused to hearken, they rebelled and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

12 Yea, they made their hearts like adamant, lest they should hear the law, and the ordinances which the LORD of hosts has sent in his Spirit by the former prophets; therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.

13 Since I have called them and they would not hear, so they shall call me and I will not listen, says the LORD of hosts.

14 And I scattered them among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, without any one to pass through it and without an inhabitant, because they made the pleasant land a desolation.

4 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

5 Скажи всему народу земли и священникам: когда вы постились и сетовали в пятый и седьмой месяц эти семьдесят лет; то для Меня ли вы постились?

5 Speak to all the people of the land and to the priests, saying, When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months, for these seventy years, did you at all fast to me?

6 И когда вы ели, и когда пили; то не вы ли ели, и не вы ли пили?

10 И вдовы, и сироты, пришельца и бедного не обижайте; и друг на друга не умышляйте зла в сердце вашем.
