Глава 5

1 Немного позже Иса пошёл на иудейский праздник в Иерусалим.

2 В Иерусалиме, недалеко от Овечьих ворот, есть пруд, называемый на арамейском языке Вифезда, окружённый пятью крытыми колоннадами.

3 Там лежало много инвалидов: слепых, хромых и парализованных.

5 Среди них был человек, больной уже тридцать восемь лет.

6 Когда Иса увидел его лежащим там и узнал, что тот уже давно в таком состоянии, Он спросил его: – Ты хочешь выздороветь?

7 Больной ответил: – Господин, да ведь нет никого, кто бы помог мне войти в воду, когда вода бурлит. А когда я стараюсь сам дойти до воды, кто-нибудь меня уже опережает.

8 Тогда Иса сказал ему: – Встань! Возьми свою постель и иди.

9 И этот человек в тот же миг стал здоров. Он взял свою постель и пошёл. Это произошло в субботу. .

10 Предводители иудеев поэтому сказали исцелённому: – Сегодня суббота, и тебе нельзя нести постель.

11 Но он ответил: – Тот, Кто исцелил меня, Тот и сказал мне: «Возьми свою постель и иди».

12 Они спросили: – Кто Он такой, Тот, Кто сказал тебе взять постель и идти?

13 Исцелённый и сам не знал, кто Это был, потому что Иса скрылся в толпе, которая была там.

14 Позже Иса нашёл его в храме и сказал: – Ну вот ты и здоров. Не греши больше, чтобы не случилось с тобой ещё худшего.

15 Человек этот тогда пошёл и сказал предводителям иудеев, что его исцелил Иса.

16 Предводители иудеев стали преследовать Ису, потому что Он сделал это в субботу.

17 Иса же сказал им: – Мой Отец совершает работу всегда, и Я тоже это делаю.

18 Тогда предводители иудеев ещё более усердно стали искать возможности убить Ису, ведь Он не только нарушал закон о субботе, но к тому же называл Всевышнего Своим Отцом, приравнивая Себя к Всевышнему.

19 На это Иса ответил им так: – Говорю вам истину: Сын ничего не может делать Сам от Себя, пока не увидит Отца делающим. То, что делает Отец, делает и Сын.

20 Ведь Отец любит Сына и показывает Ему всё, что делает Сам, и вы удивитесь, потому что Он покажет Ему более великие дела.

21 Точно так, как Отец воскрешает мёртвых и даёт им жизнь, так и Сын даёт жизнь тем, кому хочет.

22 Более того, Отец никого не судит, Он доверил весь суд Сыну,

23 чтобы все почитали Сына, как чтят Отца. Тот, кто не чтит Сына, не чтит и Отца, пославшего Сына.

24 Говорю вам истину: всякий, кто слышит Моё слово и верит Пославшему Меня, имеет жизнь вечную, и ему не придётся приходить на Суд, он уже перешёл из смерти в жизнь.

25 Говорю вам истину, наступает время, и уже наступило, когда мёртвые услышат голос (вечного) Сына Всевышнего, и те, кто услышит, оживут.

26 Потому что, как Отец имеет жизнь в Самом Себе, так Он дал иметь жизнь в Самом Себе и Сыну.

27 Он дал Ему власть судить, потому что Он – Ниспосланный как Человек.

28 Не удивляйтесь этому, потому что настанет время, когда все, кто находится сейчас в могилах, услышат Его голос

29 и выйдут из могил. Те, кто делал добро, воскреснут, чтобы жить, и те, кто делал зло, поднимутся, чтобы получить осуждение.

30 Я не могу ничего делать Сам от Себя. Я сужу так, как Мне сказано, и Мой суд справедлив, потому что Я стремлюсь исполнить не Свою волю, а волю Пославшего Меня.

31 – Если бы Я свидетельствовал Сам о Себе, то свидетельство Моё было бы недействительно,

32 но обо Мне свидетельствует ещё один свидетель, и Я знаю, что Его свидетельство обо Мне истинно.

33 Вы посылали к Яхии, и он свидетельствовал об истине.

34 Я не нуждаюсь в свидетельстве людей, но говорю об этом, чтобы вы были спасены.

35 Яхия был горящим и сияющим светильником, и вы хотели хоть некоторое время порадоваться при его свете.

36 Но у Меня есть свидетельство сильнее свидетельства Яхии. Дела, которые Отец поручил Мне совершить и которые Я совершаю, свидетельствуют о том, что Отец послал Меня.

37 Обо Мне свидетельствует и Сам Отец, пославший Меня. Вы никогда не слышали Его голоса и не видели Его облика.

38 Его слово не живёт в вас, потому что вы не верите Мне – Тому, Кого Он послал.

39 Вы старательно исследуете Писание, надеясь через него получить жизнь вечную. А ведь это Писание свидетельствует обо Мне!

40 Однако вы отказываетесь прийти ко Мне, чтобы получить жизнь.

41 Мне не нужна слава от людей,

42 но Я знаю вас: в ваших сердцах нет любви к Всевышнему.

43 Я пришёл во имя Моего Отца, и вы Меня не принимаете, но когда кто-либо другой придёт во имя самого себя – его вы примете.

44 Как вы можете поверить, когда вы ищете похвалы друг от друга, но не прилагаете никаких усилий, чтобы получить похвалу от единого Бога?

45 Не думайте, однако, что Я буду обвинять вас перед Отцом. Ваш обвинитель – Муса, на которого вы возлагаете ваши надежды.

46 Если бы вы верили Мусе, то верили бы и Мне, потому что Муса писал обо Мне.

47 Но если вы не верите тому, что он написал, то как вы можете поверить тому, что Я говорю?

Chapter 5

1 AFTER these things there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

2 Now there was at Jerusalem a baptismal pool, which is called in Hebrew Bethesda, having five entrances.

3 And at these entrances a great many sick people were lying, the blind, the lame, and the crippled; and they were waiting for the water to be stirred up;

4 For an angel of God went down at a certain time to the baptismal pool and stirred up the water; and whoever went in first after the stirring of the water was healed of any disease he had.

5 A man was there who had been sick for thirty-eight years.

6 Jesus saw this man lying down, and he knew that he had been waiting for a long time; so he said to him, Do you wish to be healed?

7 The sick man answered and said, Yes, my Lord; but I have no man, when the water is stirred up, to put me into the baptismal pool; but while I am coming, another one goes in before me.

8 Jesus said to him, Rise, take up your quiltbed, and walk.

9 And the man was healed immediately, and he got up and took his quilt-bed and walked. And that day was the sabbath.

10 So the Jews said to him who was healed, It is the sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your quilt-bed.

11 He answered and said to them, He who had healed me, he told me, Take up your quilt-bed, and walk.

12 And they asked him, Who is this man who said to you, Take up your quilt-bed, and walk?

13 But he who was healed did not know who he was; for Jesus was pressed by a large crowd which was at that place.

14 After a while, Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, Behold, you are healed; do not sin again, for something worse might happen to you than the first.

15 And the man went away and told the Jews, that it was Jesus who had healed him.

16 And for this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus and wanted to kill him, because he was doing these things on the sabbath.

17 But Jesus said to them, My Father works even until now, so I also work.

18 And for this the Jews wanted the more to kill him, not only because he was weakening the sabbath, but also because he said concerning God that he is his Father, and was making himself equal with God.

19 Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, that the Son can do nothing of his own accord, except what he sees the Father doing; for the things which the Father does, the same the Son does like him also.

20 For the Father loves his Son, and he shows him everything that he does; and he will show him greater works than these, so that you may marvel.

21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to those whom he will.

22 For the Father does not judge any man, but he has entrusted all judgment to the Son;

23 So that every man should honor the Son, just as he honors the Father. He who does not honor the Son, does not honor the Father who sent him.

24 Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears my word, and believes him who has sent me, has everlasting life; and he does not come before the judgment, but he passes from death to life.

25 Truly, truly, I say to you, The time is coming, and it is now already here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear it will live.

26 For as the Father has life in himself, even so he has given to the Son also to have life in himself.

27 And he has given him authority to execute judgment also, for he is the Son of man.

28 Do not wonder at this; for the time is coming, when all those who are in the graves will hear his voice,

29 And they will come out; those who have done good works to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil works to the resurrection of judgment.

30 I can do nothing of myself; but as I hear I judge, and my judgment is just; for I do not seek my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

31 If I testify concerning myself, my testimony is not true.

32 It is another one who testifies concerning me; and I know that the testimony which he testifies concerning me is true.

33 You sent to John, and he testified concerning the truth.

34 But I do not receive any testimony from men; but I tell you these things so that you may be saved.

35 He was a lamp which burns and gives light; and you were willing to delight in his light for a while.

36 But I have a greater testimony than that of John; for the works which my Father has given me to finish, the same works which I do, testify concerning me, that the Father has sent me.

37 And the Father who sent me has testified concerning me. But you have never heard his voice, nor seen his appearance.

38 And his word does not abide in you, because you do not believe in him whom he has sent.

39 Examine the scriptures, in which you trust that you have eternal life; and even they testify concerning me.

40 Yet you will not come to me, that you might have life everlasting.

41 I do not receive any praise from men.

42 But I know you well, that the love of God is not in you.

43 I have come in the name of my Father, and you do not receive me; if another should come in his own name, you will receive him.

44 How can you believe, when you accept praise one from another, but the praise from God only, you do not want?

45 Why, do you think that I will accuse you before the Father; there is one who will accuse you, even Moses, in whom you trust.

46 For if you had believed in Moses, you would also have believed in me; because Moses wrote concerning me.

47 If you do not believe his writings, how then can you believe my words?

6 Когда Иса увидел его лежащим там и узнал, что тот уже давно в таком состоянии, Он спросил его: – Ты хочешь выздороветь?	6 Jesus saw this man lying down, and he knew that he had been waiting for a long time; so he said to him, Do you wish to be healed?
7 Больной ответил: – Господин, да ведь нет никого, кто бы помог мне войти в воду, когда вода бурлит. А когда я стараюсь сам дойти до воды, кто-нибудь меня уже опережает.	7 The sick man answered and said, Yes, my Lord; but I have no man, when the water is stirred up, to put me into the baptismal pool; but while I am coming, another one goes in before me.
8 Тогда Иса сказал ему: – Встань! Возьми свою постель и иди.	8 Jesus said to him, Rise, take up your quiltbed, and walk.
9 И этот человек в тот же миг стал здоров. Он взял свою постель и пошёл. Это произошло в субботу. .	9 And the man was healed immediately, and he got up and took his quilt-bed and walked. And that day was the sabbath.
10 Предводители иудеев поэтому сказали исцелённому: – Сегодня суббота, и тебе нельзя нести постель.	10 So the Jews said to him who was healed, It is the sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your quilt-bed.
11 Но он ответил: – Тот, Кто исцелил меня, Тот и сказал мне: «Возьми свою постель и иди».	11 He answered and said to them, He who had healed me, he told me, Take up your quilt-bed, and walk.
12 Они спросили: – Кто Он такой, Тот, Кто сказал тебе взять постель и идти?	12 And they asked him, Who is this man who said to you, Take up your quilt-bed, and walk?
13 Исцелённый и сам не знал, кто Это был, потому что Иса скрылся в толпе, которая была там.	13 But he who was healed did not know who he was; for Jesus was pressed by a large crowd which was at that place.
14 Позже Иса нашёл его в храме и сказал: – Ну вот ты и здоров. Не греши больше, чтобы не случилось с тобой ещё худшего.	14 After a while, Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, Behold, you are healed; do not sin again, for something worse might happen to you than the first.
15 Человек этот тогда пошёл и сказал предводителям иудеев, что его исцелил Иса.	15 And the man went away and told the Jews, that it was Jesus who had healed him.
16 Предводители иудеев стали преследовать Ису, потому что Он сделал это в субботу.	16 And for this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus and wanted to kill him, because he was doing these things on the sabbath.
17 Иса же сказал им: – Мой Отец совершает работу всегда, и Я тоже это делаю.	17 But Jesus said to them, My Father works even until now, so I also work.
18 Тогда предводители иудеев ещё более усердно стали искать возможности убить Ису, ведь Он не только нарушал закон о субботе, но к тому же называл Всевышнего Своим Отцом, приравнивая Себя к Всевышнему.	18 And for this the Jews wanted the more to kill him, not only because he was weakening the sabbath, but also because he said concerning God that he is his Father, and was making himself equal with God.
19 На это Иса ответил им так: – Говорю вам истину: Сын ничего не может делать Сам от Себя, пока не увидит Отца делающим. То, что делает Отец, делает и Сын.	19 Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, that the Son can do nothing of his own accord, except what he sees the Father doing; for the things which the Father does, the same the Son does like him also.
20 Ведь Отец любит Сына и показывает Ему всё, что делает Сам, и вы удивитесь, потому что Он покажет Ему более великие дела.	20 For the Father loves his Son, and he shows him everything that he does; and he will show him greater works than these, so that you may marvel.
21 Точно так, как Отец воскрешает мёртвых и даёт им жизнь, так и Сын даёт жизнь тем, кому хочет.	21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to those whom he will.
22 Более того, Отец никого не судит, Он доверил весь суд Сыну,	22 For the Father does not judge any man, but he has entrusted all judgment to the Son;
23 чтобы все почитали Сына, как чтят Отца. Тот, кто не чтит Сына, не чтит и Отца, пославшего Сына.	23 So that every man should honor the Son, just as he honors the Father. He who does not honor the Son, does not honor the Father who sent him.
24 Говорю вам истину: всякий, кто слышит Моё слово и верит Пославшему Меня, имеет жизнь вечную, и ему не придётся приходить на Суд, он уже перешёл из смерти в жизнь.	24 Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears my word, and believes him who has sent me, has everlasting life; and he does not come before the judgment, but he passes from death to life.
25 Говорю вам истину, наступает время, и уже наступило, когда мёртвые услышат голос (вечного) Сына Всевышнего, и те, кто услышит, оживут.	25 Truly, truly, I say to you, The time is coming, and it is now already here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear it will live.
26 Потому что, как Отец имеет жизнь в Самом Себе, так Он дал иметь жизнь в Самом Себе и Сыну.	26 For as the Father has life in himself, even so he has given to the Son also to have life in himself.
27 Он дал Ему власть судить, потому что Он – Ниспосланный как Человек.	27 And he has given him authority to execute judgment also, for he is the Son of man.
28 Не удивляйтесь этому, потому что настанет время, когда все, кто находится сейчас в могилах, услышат Его голос	28 Do not wonder at this; for the time is coming, when all those who are in the graves will hear his voice,
29 и выйдут из могил. Те, кто делал добро, воскреснут, чтобы жить, и те, кто делал зло, поднимутся, чтобы получить осуждение.	29 And they will come out; those who have done good works to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil works to the resurrection of judgment.
30 Я не могу ничего делать Сам от Себя. Я сужу так, как Мне сказано, и Мой суд справедлив, потому что Я стремлюсь исполнить не Свою волю, а волю Пославшего Меня.	30 I can do nothing of myself; but as I hear I judge, and my judgment is just; for I do not seek my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
31 – Если бы Я свидетельствовал Сам о Себе, то свидетельство Моё было бы недействительно,	31 If I testify concerning myself, my testimony is not true.
32 но обо Мне свидетельствует ещё один свидетель, и Я знаю, что Его свидетельство обо Мне истинно.	32 It is another one who testifies concerning me; and I know that the testimony which he testifies concerning me is true.
33 Вы посылали к Яхии, и он свидетельствовал об истине.	33 You sent to John, and he testified concerning the truth.
34 Я не нуждаюсь в свидетельстве людей, но говорю об этом, чтобы вы были спасены.	34 But I do not receive any testimony from men; but I tell you these things so that you may be saved.
35 Яхия был горящим и сияющим светильником, и вы хотели хоть некоторое время порадоваться при его свете.	35 He was a lamp which burns and gives light; and you were willing to delight in his light for a while.
36 Но у Меня есть свидетельство сильнее свидетельства Яхии. Дела, которые Отец поручил Мне совершить и которые Я совершаю, свидетельствуют о том, что Отец послал Меня.	36 But I have a greater testimony than that of John; for the works which my Father has given me to finish, the same works which I do, testify concerning me, that the Father has sent me.
37 Обо Мне свидетельствует и Сам Отец, пославший Меня. Вы никогда не слышали Его голоса и не видели Его облика.	37 And the Father who sent me has testified concerning me. But you have never heard his voice, nor seen his appearance.
38 Его слово не живёт в вас, потому что вы не верите Мне – Тому, Кого Он послал.	38 And his word does not abide in you, because you do not believe in him whom he has sent.
39 Вы старательно исследуете Писание, надеясь через него получить жизнь вечную. А ведь это Писание свидетельствует обо Мне!	39 Examine the scriptures, in which you trust that you have eternal life; and even they testify concerning me.
40 Однако вы отказываетесь прийти ко Мне, чтобы получить жизнь.	40 Yet you will not come to me, that you might have life everlasting.
41 Мне не нужна слава от людей,	41 I do not receive any praise from men.
42 но Я знаю вас: в ваших сердцах нет любви к Всевышнему.	42 But I know you well, that the love of God is not in you.
43 Я пришёл во имя Моего Отца, и вы Меня не принимаете, но когда кто-либо другой придёт во имя самого себя – его вы примете.	43 I have come in the name of my Father, and you do not receive me; if another should come in his own name, you will receive him.
44 Как вы можете поверить, когда вы ищете похвалы друг от друга, но не прилагаете никаких усилий, чтобы получить похвалу от единого Бога?	44 How can you believe, when you accept praise one from another, but the praise from God only, you do not want?
45 Не думайте, однако, что Я буду обвинять вас перед Отцом. Ваш обвинитель – Муса, на которого вы возлагаете ваши надежды.	45 Why, do you think that I will accuse you before the Father; there is one who will accuse you, even Moses, in whom you trust.
46 Если бы вы верили Мусе, то верили бы и Мне, потому что Муса писал обо Мне.	46 For if you had believed in Moses, you would also have believed in me; because Moses wrote concerning me.
47 Но если вы не верите тому, что он написал, то как вы можете поверить тому, что Я говорю?	47 If you do not believe his writings, how then can you believe my words?
