Глава 3

1 Сын мой! Не забывай наставлений моих, заповеди мои сохрани в своем сердце,

2 ибо это даст тебе долголетия, лет жизни — в благоденствии.

3 Божья любовь неизменная и верность да не покинут тебя, повяжи их себе на шею, запиши на скрижалях сердца своего.

4 И обретешь милость и добрую славу у Бога и у людей.

5 Уповай на ГОСПОДА всем сердцем своим, не полагайся на собственный разум.

6 Не забывай Его на всех путях твоих и Он сделает стезю твою прямой.

7 Не считай себя мудрым, пред ГОСПОДОМ благоговей и избегай зла —

8 и тело твое обретет здравие, а кости — крепость.

9 Чти ГОСПОДА дарами от своего достатка, из первых плодов каждого урожая —

10 и амбары твои будут ломиться от зерна, молодое вино в давильнях будет течь через край.

11 Сын мой! Не отвергай наставления ГОСПОДНЕГО, от поучения Его не отвращайся,

12 ведь кого любит ГОСПОДЬ, того и воспитывает в строгости, как отец — желанного сына.

13 Благо тому, кто достиг мудрости, кто обрел здравомыслие.

14 Больше прибыли от мудрости, чем прибыли от серебра, и дохода от нее гораздо больше, чем от чистого золота.

15 Ведь мудрость дороже жемчугов, не сравнится с ней никакая прихоть.

16 В правой руке у нее — долголетие, в левой — богатство и слава.

17 Все пути ее — пути радости, все стези ее — благоденствие.

18 Древо жизни она для всех, кто ею владеет, и благо дарует тем, кто за нее держится.

19 Премудростью ГОСПОДЬ основал землю, небеса утвердил разумом,

20 мыслью Его разверзлись бездны и облака источают на землю росу.

21 Сын мой! Да будет это всегда перед очами твоими: храни здравомыслие и рассудительность.

22 Они будут средоточием твоей жизни, украшением на груди.

23 По дороге своей пойдешь без опаски и не споткнешься.

24 Ложиться спать будешь без боязни, ляжешь — и сон будет в радость тебе.

25 Не будешь бояться ни внезапной беды, ни погибели, что грозит нечестивцам,

26 ибо ГОСПОДЬ будет твоей надеждой и не даст тебе ступить в западню.

27 Не отказывай в благодеянии страждущему, если в силах оказать его.

28 Не говори ближнему: «Ступай, приди потом, помогу тебе завтра», если у тебя есть что дать.

29 Не замышляй зла против ближнего, против соседа, который тебе доверяет.

30 Не ссорься понапрасну с тем, кто не причинил тебе зла.

31 Не завидуй злодею, на путь его не вступай,

32 ибо коварный человек отвратителен ГОСПОДУ, но к праведным Он благоволит.

33 На доме нечестивца — проклятье ГОСПОДА, а жилище праведников Он благословляет.

34 Над насмешниками посмеется Господь, а к смиренным Он милостив.

35 Мудрые наследуют славу, а глупых ожидает бесчестье.

Proverbs

Chapter 3

1 My son, do not forget my law; but let your heart keep my commandments;

2 For the length of days and long life will they add to you;

3 And peace, mercy, and truth will not forsake you; bind them about your neck; write them upon the tablets of your heart:

4 So you shall find favor, grace, and understanding in the sight of God and men.

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and rely not on your own wisdom.

6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

7 Be not wise in your own eyes; revere the LORD, and depart from evil.

8 It shall be healing to your flesh and marrow to your bones.

9 Honor the LORD with your substance and with the first fruits of all your crops;

10 So shall your barns be filled with plenty, and your wine presses shall burst out with new wine.

11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD, neither be weary of his corrections.

12 For whom the LORD loves he corrects, even as a father corrects his son.

13 Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the son of the man who finds understanding.

14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and its gains than fine gold.

15 She is more valuable than precious stones; and there is nothing to be compared to her.

16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor.

17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

18 She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; and blessed are those who wait for her.

19 The LORD by his wisdom has founded the earth; by his understanding he established the heavens.

20 By his knowledge the depths are broken up and the clouds drop down the dew.

21 My son, let not my commandments depart from your eyes; keep my doctrine, and my counsels;

22 So shall they be life to your soul and grace to your neck.

23 Then you shall walk in your way with hope and your foot shall not stumble.

24 When you lie down, you shall not be afraid; yea, you shall lie down and your sleep shall be sweet.

25 You shall not fear sudden tumult, neither the violence of the wicked, when it comes.

26 For the LORD shall be with you and shall keep your foot that you may not be caught in the snare.

27 Do not refuse to do that which is good, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.

28 When you have something, do not say to your neighbor, Go, and come again tomorrow, and I will give it to you.

29 Do not devise evil against your neighbor, seeing he dwells in peace beside you.

30 Do not contend with a man without a cause, if he has done you no harm.

31 Do not envy a wicked man, and choose none of his ways.

32 For the wicked man is an abomination in the presence of the LORD: but the secret of the LORD is with the upright.

33 The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked; but he blesses the habitation of the righteous.

34 Surely he despises scorners; but he has compassion on the wise.

35 Wise men shall inherit glory; but fools shall receive disgrace.

12 ведь кого любит ГОСПОДЬ, того и воспитывает в строгости, как отец — желанного сына.	12 For whom the LORD loves he corrects, even as a father corrects his son.
13 Благо тому, кто достиг мудрости, кто обрел здравомыслие.	13 Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the son of the man who finds understanding.
14 Больше прибыли от мудрости, чем прибыли от серебра, и дохода от нее гораздо больше, чем от чистого золота.	14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and its gains than fine gold.
15 Ведь мудрость дороже жемчугов, не сравнится с ней никакая прихоть.	15 She is more valuable than precious stones; and there is nothing to be compared to her.
16 В правой руке у нее — долголетие, в левой — богатство и слава.	16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor.
17 Все пути ее — пути радости, все стези ее — благоденствие.	17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 Древо жизни она для всех, кто ею владеет, и благо дарует тем, кто за нее держится.	18 She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; and blessed are those who wait for her.
19 Премудростью ГОСПОДЬ основал землю, небеса утвердил разумом,	19 The LORD by his wisdom has founded the earth; by his understanding he established the heavens.
20 мыслью Его разверзлись бездны и облака источают на землю росу.	20 By his knowledge the depths are broken up and the clouds drop down the dew.
21 Сын мой! Да будет это всегда перед очами твоими: храни здравомыслие и рассудительность.	21 My son, let not my commandments depart from your eyes; keep my doctrine, and my counsels;
22 Они будут средоточием твоей жизни, украшением на груди.	22 So shall they be life to your soul and grace to your neck.
