Глава 10

1 Притчи Соломона. Мудрый сын радует отца, а глупый — горе для матери.

2 Обманом нажитое состояние не поможет, а праведность избавит от смерти.

3 Не оставит ГОСПОДЬ праведника голодным, но алчные замыслы нечестивцев разрушит.

4 Праздные руки на бедность обрекают, усердные руки богатство принесут.

5 Разумный сын в страду хлеб убирает, а тот, который спит в жатву, позорит отца.

6 Благословения венчают голову праведника, а уста нечестивцев таят насилие.

7 Память о праведнике вовеки благословенна, а имя нечестивца в прах обратится.

8 Сердце мудрое повинуется заповедям, а уста глупца навлекают несчастья.

9 Кто непорочно живет, тому бояться нечего, а кто петляет, изобличен будет.

10 Кто лукаво подмигивает, причиняет боль, и уста глупца навлекают несчастья.

11 Уста праведного — живительный родник, а уста нечестивцев таят насилие.

12 Ненависть раздувает раздоры, но любовь покрывает все грехи.

13 На устах разумного пребывает мудрость, а спина глупца — для палки.

14 Мудрец бережет знания, а речи глупого — неминуемая гибель.

15 Богатство для богача что город укрепленный, а нищета для бедного — погибель.

16 Все старания праведника — к созиданию жизни, а у нечестивца вся прибыль — для греха.

17 Кто внимает наставлениям, указывает путь жизни, кто сам отвергает обличения, тот и других совращает.

18 Уста лжеца таят ненависть, а кто сеет клевету — тот глупец.

19 При многословии не избежать греха, кто сдержан в речах, поступает благоразумно.

20 Слово в устах праведника — отборное серебро, но грош цена уму нечестивых.

21 Уста праведника пестуют многих, глупые же гибнут от собственного безрассудства.

22 Благословение ГОСПОДНЕ дарует богатство, и не приумножить его усердием.

23 Глупец услаждает себя гнусными замыслами, а разумный человек — мудростью.

24 Что страшит нечестивца, то его и постигнет, а желания праведных исполнятся.

25 Налетит буря — и нет нечестивца, а праведник устоит вовек.

26 Что уксус для зубов, что дым в глаза — таков лентяй для тех, кто дает ему поручения.

27 Благоговение пред ГОСПОДОМ дарует долголетие, а годы нечестивцев сочтены.

28 Чаяния праведников радуют сердце, а надежда нечестивцев погибнет.

29 Путь ГОСПОДЕНЬ — надежное прибежище для непорочного, а для злодеев — погибель.

30 Праведник вовеки непоколебим будет, а нечестивых не будет на земле.

31 Уста праведника источают мудрость, а язык гнусный вырван будет.

32 Уста праведника ведают то, что благо, а речь нечестивцев порочна.

Chapter 10

1 A WISE son makes his father glad, but a foolish son brings shame to his mother.

2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing; but righteousness delivers from death.

3 The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish; but he casts away the substance of the wicked.

4 Poverty humbles a man; but the hands of diligent men make rich.

5 He who works in summer is a wise man; but he who sleeps in harvest is a son that causes shame.

6 Blessings are upon the head of the righteous; but iniquity covers the mouth of the wicked.

7 The memory of the just is a blessing; but the heir of the wicked shall be extinct.

8 The wise in heart will receive commandments; but one whose lips are full of folly shall be caught.

9 He who walks uprightly walks in hope; but he who perverts his ways shall be known.

10 He who winks with his eyes deceitfully causes sorrow; but he who reproves openly makes peace.

11 The mouth of a righteous man is a fountain of life; but the mouth of the wicked is covered with iniquity.

12 Hatred stirs up strife; shame shall cover all the wicked.

13 He who brings forth wisdom out of his lips shall beat with a rod him that lacks understanding.

14 Wise men conceal knowledge; but a hasty mouth is near destruction.

15 The rich men's wealth is their strong cities; the destruction of the poor is their poverty.

16 The labor of the righteous tends to life; the harvest of the wicked to sin.

17 The true way of life brings discipline; but he who hates reproof is a fool.

18 The lips of the wicked are full of deceits, and he who utters a curse is a fool.

19 The wicked cannot be delivered by a multitude of words; but he who refrains his lips is wise.

20 The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver; the heart of the wicked is full of bitterness.

21 The lips of the righteous are full of mercy; but the fools die for want of wisdom.

22 The blessings of the LORD bring riches, and there shall be no sorrow in them.

23 It is sport to a fool to do mischief; but a man of understanding has wisdom.

24 The wicked shall be dragged to ruin; but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

25 As the whirlwind passes suddenly, so wicked men shall perish and be no more; but the righteous are an everlasting foundation.

26 As unripe grapes are hurtful to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so does wickedness hurt those who indulge in it.

27 Reverence for the LORD prolongs life; but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness; but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

29 The way of the LORD is strength to the upright; but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

30 The righteous shall never be removed; but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

31 The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom; but a perverse tongue shall be silenced.

32 The lips of the righteous know what is good; but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse things.

14 Wise men conceal knowledge; but a hasty mouth is near destruction.

15 Богатство для богача что город укрепленный, а нищета для бедного — погибель.

15 The rich men's wealth is their strong cities; the destruction of the poor is their poverty.

16 Все старания праведника — к созиданию жизни, а у нечестивца вся прибыль — для греха.

19 The wicked cannot be delivered by a multitude of words; but he who refrains his lips is wise.

20 Слово в устах праведника — отборное серебро, но грош цена уму нечестивых.

20 The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver; the heart of the wicked is full of bitterness.
