Глава 22

1 После того как поделены были западные земли, созвал Иисус израильтян из колен Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии

2 и сказал им: «Все повеления, данные вам Моисеем, слугою ГОСПОДНИМ, вы исполнили. И моим наказам — всему, что я говорил вам, — вы подчинялись.

3 Волю ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, вы исполнили в точности, оставшись надолго среди своих братьев и не покинув их вплоть до сего дня.

4 Ныне, когда ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, даровал вашим собратьям обещанный покой, вы можете возвратиться домой, в свои наследственные владения за Иорданом, данные вам Моисеем, слугой ГОСПОДНИМ.

5 Только всегда помните о тех указаниях и наставлениях, какие вам дал Моисей, слуга ГОСПОДЕНЬ. С особым тщанием их исполняйте. Любите ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, живите по воле Его, исполняя всё, что Он заповедал. Будьте верны Богу и служите Ему всем своим сердцем, всею душой своей!»

6 После этого Иисус благословил их и отпустил, и они отправились домой, в свои земли.

7 Половине колена Манассии дал Моисей Башан, а другой половине и остальным израильтянам Иисус назначил земли на западном берегу Иордана. Отпуская их домой, Иисус благословил их.

8 Он сказал им: «Вы возвращаетесь домой с великим богатством: у вас много скота, серебра, золота, меди, железа и всякой одежды. Разделите всё добытое у ваших врагов богатство со своими соплеменниками!»

9 Покинув собратьев своих в Силоме, что в Ханаане, израильтяне из колен Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии направились в страну Гилад: эту землю — наследие свое — получили они во владение по велению ГОСПОДА, данному через Моисея.

10 Придя к Гелилоту, что у Иордана, в земле Ханаан, израильтяне из колен Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии построили жертвенник там, близ Иордана, огромный жертвенник.

11 И тут остальные израильтяне узнали, что потомки Рувима, Гада и половина колена Манассии построили жертвенник на окраине Ханаана, в Гелилоте Иорданском, у границы Израиля.

12 Получив такое известие, вся община израильская собралась в Силоме, чтобы начать с ними войну.

13 Однако прежде израильтяне послали в страну Гилад, к потомкам Рувима, Гада и половине колена Манассии, священника Финееса, сына Элеазара.

14 Его сопровождали десять вождей общины из разных родов — представители всех колен Израиля. Каждый из них был главой рода и представлял один из кланов израильских.

15 Прибыв в страну Гилад, к израильтянам из колен Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии, посланцы сказали:

16 «Так говорит вся община ГОСПОДНЯ: „Почему вы изменили Богу Израиля? Зачем отступили от ГОСПОДА? Построив ныне свой жертвенник, вы восстали против ГОСПОДА.

17 Неужели мало нам преступлений, совершенных у Пеора? Мы по сей день еще не очистились от них; грехи эти навели кару на общину ГОСПОДНЮ.

18 Теперь же вы отступаете от ГОСПОДА! Сегодня вы восстали против ГОСПОДА, а завтра гнев Его падет на всю общину израильскую.

19 Если вам кажется, что страна, которой вы владеете, осквернена, не освящена присутствием Бога, то переходите в наши земли, во владения ГОСПОДА, где находится Его Скиния, и получите надел у нас. Только не восставайте против ГОСПОДА и не вовлекайте нас в это восстание, не стройте для себя другого жертвенника, помимо жертвенника ГОСПОДУ, Богу нашему.

20 Вы помните, как Ахан, сын Зераха, согрешил, присвоив то, что было предано заклятию, обречено на уничтожение? На всю общину израильскую обрушился тогда гнев Божий. Не только сам Ахан, но и другие погибли из-за его греха“».

21 Потомки Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии так ответили вождям общины Израиля:

22 «ГОСПОДЬ — Бог богов! ГОСПОДЬ — Бог богов! Он знает, почему мы сделали это! И пусть узнает Израиль! Если мы восстали против ГОСПОДА, изменили Ему, да не будет нам пощады!

23 Если мы отступили от ГОСПОДА и построили жертвенник, чтобы возлагать на него жертвы, назначенные ко всесожжению, хлебные дары или благодарственные жертвы, пусть Сам ГОСПОДЬ воздаст нам за это!

24 Мы поступили так по иной причине. Есть у нас опасения, что в будущем ваши потомки скажут нашим потомкам: „Какое дело вам до ГОСПОДА, Бога Израилева?

25 ГОСПОДЬ сделал Иордан границей между нами и вами, потомки Рувима и Гада! Не можете вы участвовать в поклонении ГОСПОДУ!“ И тогда по вине ваших потомков наши дети потеряют благоговение перед ГОСПОДОМ.

26 Потому и решили мы построить жертвенник, но не для всесожжений или благодарственных жертв.

27 Для нас с вами и для потомков наших будет он свидетельством того, что и мы можем служить ГОСПОДУ, представ перед Ним с нашими всесожжениями и благодарственными жертвами. И в будущем у ваших потомков не будет повода сказать нашим потомкам, что те не могут участвовать в поклонении ГОСПОДУ.

28 Мы рассудили: когда в будущем нам или детям нашим так скажут, то мы ответим: „Взгляните на это подобие жертвенника ГОСПОДНЕГО, которое поставили наши отцы. Не для всесожжений или благодарственных жертв оно предназначено, оно — свидетельство для нас с вами“.

29 Да не будет даже в мыслях наших желания восстать против ГОСПОДА и, отступив от Него, построить второй жертвенник для всесожжений, хлебных даров и иных жертв, подобный тому жертвеннику ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего, что стоит пред Его Скинией».

30 Выслушав потомков из колен Рувима, Гада и Манассии, священник Финеес и сопровождавшие его вожди общины сочли их ответы убедительными.

31 Потомкам Рувима, Гада и Манассии священник Финеес, сын Элеазара, сказал: «Теперь мы знаем, что ГОСПОДЬ среди нас и что вы не изменили ГОСПОДУ. Ныне вы доказали свою невиновность, и на израильтян не падет воздаяние ГОСПОДНЕ».

32 Покинув страну Гилад и потомков Рувима и Гада, священник Финеес, сын Элеазара, и вожди общины возвратились в Ханаан, к остальным израильтянам, и рассказали им обо всем, что было.

33 Их сообщение обрадовало израильтян. Они воздали Богу хвалу и больше не помышляли о войне против потомков Рувима и Гада и о разорении страны, в которой те жили.

34 Потомки Рувима и Гада дали жертвеннику название «Свидетель». Они сказали: «Он и нам, и вам будет свидетельствовать о том, что ГОСПОДЬ — наш Бог».

Chapter 22

1 THEN Joshua called the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh,

2 And said to them, You have kept all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I have commanded you;

3 You have not deserted your brethren these many days even to this time, but have kept the commandments of the LORD your God.

4 And now the LORD your God has given rest to your brethren, as he promised them; therefore now return, and go to your towns and to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side of the Jordan to the east.

5 But only take diligent heed to observe the commandments and the laws which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, to keep his commandments, and to cleave to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

6 So Joshua blessed them and sent them away; and they went to their towns.

7 Now to the half of the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given an inheritance in Mathnin; but to the other half thereof Joshua had given an inheritance among their brethren on this side of the Jordan to the west. And when Joshua sent them away to their towns, he blessed them;

8 And he spoke to them, saying, Return to your towns and to the land of your inheritance with much wealth and with very many cattle, with silver, with gold, with brass, with iron, and with very much clothing; divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.

9 So the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possessions, in which they were given an inheritance, according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

10 And when they came to Gilgal, which is by the side of the Jordan in the land of Canaan, the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by the Jordan, a large and remarkable altar.

11 And the children of Israel heard it said, Behold, the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar at the border of the land of Canaan, in Gilgal which is by the side of the Jordan, in the land of the children of Israel.

12 Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh to go to war against them.

13 And the children of Israel sent to the Reubenites and to the Gadites and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,

14 And with him ten princes, one prince from every tribe of Israel; and these men were chiefs of the armies of Israel.

15 And they came to the Reubenites and to the Gadites and to the half tribe of Manasseh, in the land of Gilead, and they spoke with them, saying.

16 Thus says the whole congregation of the LORD, What treachery is this which you have committed against the God of Israel, in turning away from following the LORD, in that you have builded yourselves an altar, that you might abandon the worship of the LORD?

17 Is the iniquity of Peor not enough for us, from which we are not cleansed until this day, although there was a plague in the congregation of the LORD?

18 And as for you, when you turned away this day from the worship of the LORD, tomorrow the anger will be against the whole congregation of Israel.

19 If, however, the land of your possession is unclean, then pass over to the land of the possession of the LORD, where the LORD'S tabernacle dwells, and inherit land among us; but do not disdain the worship of the LORD, nor rebel against us by building for yourselves an altar beside the altar of the LORD the God of Israel.

20 Did you not see that when Achar the son of Carmi coveted and took the devoted things, wrath fell upon the whole congregation of Israel? He was but one man, yet he devoured us all in his iniquity.

21 Then the Reubenites the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh answered and said to Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest and to the heads of the armies of Israel,

22 The LORD is the God of gods, the God of gods is the LORD, and he is our God, and he knows Israel and he knows us also; if we shall depart from him, or if we shall transgress against the worship of the LORD in doing this thing, then let him not save us this day.

23 And if we have built us an altar to turn from the worship of the LORD, or to offer upon it burnt offerings, or use it for any other service, let the LORD himself seek vengeance against us;

24 And if we have not rather done this thing because of reverence to him, so that in time to come your children might not say to our children, What have you to do with the LORD God of Israel, O you Reubenites and Gadites?

25 For the LORD has made the Jordan a boundary between us and you; now therefore you have no part in the LORD; so in time to come shall your children make our children cease from worshipping the LORD.

26 Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice;

27 But that it may be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, and between ourselves and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings and with our sacrifices and with our peace offerings, in the place where the LORD chooses to dwell; so that your children may not say to our children in time to come, You have no part in the LORD.

28 Therefore we said that it shall be, if they should ever speak to us or to our generations in time to come, then we may say to them, Behold the pattern of the altar of the LORD which our fathers made not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but to be a witness between us and you.

29 God forbid that we should reject the worship of the LORD, and turn away from revering him, and build for ourselves an altar for burnt offerings, for gift offerings, or for sacrifices, besides the altar of the LORD God of Israel that is before his tabernacle.

30 And when Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest and the princes of the congregation and the heads of the armies of Israel who were with him heard the words that the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh spoke, it pleased them.

31 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said to the Reubenites and to the Gadites and to the half tribe of Manasseh. This day we know that the LORD is among us, because you have not committed this trespass against the LORD; now you have delivered the children of Israel, that the hand of the LORD might not be against them with wrath.

32 Then Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes who were with him, returned from the Reubenites and from the Gadites and the Manashites, out of the land of Gilead, to the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them an answer.

33 And the answer pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and decided not to go up against them to battle to destroy the land wherein the Reubenites and the Gadites and the Manashites dwelt.

34 And the Reubenites and the Gadites and the Manashites called the altar which they had made, The Altar of Testimony, for it is a witness between us that the LORD is the only God.

1 THEN Joshua called the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh,

2 и сказал им: «Все повеления, данные вам Моисеем, слугою ГОСПОДНИМ, вы исполнили. И моим наказам — всему, что я говорил вам, — вы подчинялись.

2 And said to them, You have kept all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I have commanded you;

3 Волю ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, вы исполнили в точности, оставшись надолго среди своих братьев и не покинув их вплоть до сего дня.

3 You have not deserted your brethren these many days even to this time, but have kept the commandments of the LORD your God.

4 Ныне, когда ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, даровал вашим собратьям обещанный покой, вы можете возвратиться домой, в свои наследственные владения за Иорданом, данные вам Моисеем, слугой ГОСПОДНИМ.

4 And now the LORD your God has given rest to your brethren, as he promised them; therefore now return, and go to your towns and to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side of the Jordan to the east.

5 Только всегда помните о тех указаниях и наставлениях, какие вам дал Моисей, слуга ГОСПОДЕНЬ. С особым тщанием их исполняйте. Любите ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, живите по воле Его, исполняя всё, что Он заповедал. Будьте верны Богу и служите Ему всем своим сердцем, всею душой своей!»

6 После этого Иисус благословил их и отпустил, и они отправились домой, в свои земли.

6 So Joshua blessed them and sent them away; and they went to their towns.

7 Половине колена Манассии дал Моисей Башан, а другой половине и остальным израильтянам Иисус назначил земли на западном берегу Иордана. Отпуская их домой, Иисус благословил их.

7 Now to the half of the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given an inheritance in Mathnin; but to the other half thereof Joshua had given an inheritance among their brethren on this side of the Jordan to the west. And when Joshua sent them away to their towns, he blessed them;

8 Он сказал им: «Вы возвращаетесь домой с великим богатством: у вас много скота, серебра, золота, меди, железа и всякой одежды. Разделите всё добытое у ваших врагов богатство со своими соплеменниками!»

8 And he spoke to them, saying, Return to your towns and to the land of your inheritance with much wealth and with very many cattle, with silver, with gold, with brass, with iron, and with very much clothing; divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.

9 Покинув собратьев своих в Силоме, что в Ханаане, израильтяне из колен Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии направились в страну Гилад: эту землю — наследие свое — получили они во владение по велению ГОСПОДА, данному через Моисея.

9 So the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possessions, in which they were given an inheritance, according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

10 Придя к Гелилоту, что у Иордана, в земле Ханаан, израильтяне из колен Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии построили жертвенник там, близ Иордана, огромный жертвенник.

10 And when they came to Gilgal, which is by the side of the Jordan in the land of Canaan, the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by the Jordan, a large and remarkable altar.

11 И тут остальные израильтяне узнали, что потомки Рувима, Гада и половина колена Манассии построили жертвенник на окраине Ханаана, в Гелилоте Иорданском, у границы Израиля.

11 And the children of Israel heard it said, Behold, the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar at the border of the land of Canaan, in Gilgal which is by the side of the Jordan, in the land of the children of Israel.

12 Получив такое известие, вся община израильская собралась в Силоме, чтобы начать с ними войну.

12 Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh to go to war against them.

13 Однако прежде израильтяне послали в страну Гилад, к потомкам Рувима, Гада и половине колена Манассии, священника Финееса, сына Элеазара.

13 And the children of Israel sent to the Reubenites and to the Gadites and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,

14 Его сопровождали десять вождей общины из разных родов — представители всех колен Израиля. Каждый из них был главой рода и представлял один из кланов израильских.

14 And with him ten princes, one prince from every tribe of Israel; and these men were chiefs of the armies of Israel.

15 Прибыв в страну Гилад, к израильтянам из колен Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии, посланцы сказали:

15 And they came to the Reubenites and to the Gadites and to the half tribe of Manasseh, in the land of Gilead, and they spoke with them, saying.

16 «Так говорит вся община ГОСПОДНЯ: „Почему вы изменили Богу Израиля? Зачем отступили от ГОСПОДА? Построив ныне свой жертвенник, вы восстали против ГОСПОДА.

16 Thus says the whole congregation of the LORD, What treachery is this which you have committed against the God of Israel, in turning away from following the LORD, in that you have builded yourselves an altar, that you might abandon the worship of the LORD?

17 Неужели мало нам преступлений, совершенных у Пеора? Мы по сей день еще не очистились от них; грехи эти навели кару на общину ГОСПОДНЮ.

17 Is the iniquity of Peor not enough for us, from which we are not cleansed until this day, although there was a plague in the congregation of the LORD?

18 Теперь же вы отступаете от ГОСПОДА! Сегодня вы восстали против ГОСПОДА, а завтра гнев Его падет на всю общину израильскую.

18 And as for you, when you turned away this day from the worship of the LORD, tomorrow the anger will be against the whole congregation of Israel.

19 Если вам кажется, что страна, которой вы владеете, осквернена, не освящена присутствием Бога, то переходите в наши земли, во владения ГОСПОДА, где находится Его Скиния, и получите надел у нас. Только не восставайте против ГОСПОДА и не вовлекайте нас в это восстание, не стройте для себя другого жертвенника, помимо жертвенника ГОСПОДУ, Богу нашему.

19 If, however, the land of your possession is unclean, then pass over to the land of the possession of the LORD, where the LORD'S tabernacle dwells, and inherit land among us; but do not disdain the worship of the LORD, nor rebel against us by building for yourselves an altar beside the altar of the LORD the God of Israel.

20 Вы помните, как Ахан, сын Зераха, согрешил, присвоив то, что было предано заклятию, обречено на уничтожение? На всю общину израильскую обрушился тогда гнев Божий. Не только сам Ахан, но и другие погибли из-за его греха“».

20 Did you not see that when Achar the son of Carmi coveted and took the devoted things, wrath fell upon the whole congregation of Israel? He was but one man, yet he devoured us all in his iniquity.

21 Потомки Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии так ответили вождям общины Израиля:

21 Then the Reubenites the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh answered and said to Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest and to the heads of the armies of Israel,

22 «ГОСПОДЬ — Бог богов! ГОСПОДЬ — Бог богов! Он знает, почему мы сделали это! И пусть узнает Израиль! Если мы восстали против ГОСПОДА, изменили Ему, да не будет нам пощады!

22 The LORD is the God of gods, the God of gods is the LORD, and he is our God, and he knows Israel and he knows us also; if we shall depart from him, or if we shall transgress against the worship of the LORD in doing this thing, then let him not save us this day.

23 Если мы отступили от ГОСПОДА и построили жертвенник, чтобы возлагать на него жертвы, назначенные ко всесожжению, хлебные дары или благодарственные жертвы, пусть Сам ГОСПОДЬ воздаст нам за это!

23 And if we have built us an altar to turn from the worship of the LORD, or to offer upon it burnt offerings, or use it for any other service, let the LORD himself seek vengeance against us;

24 Мы поступили так по иной причине. Есть у нас опасения, что в будущем ваши потомки скажут нашим потомкам: „Какое дело вам до ГОСПОДА, Бога Израилева?

24 And if we have not rather done this thing because of reverence to him, so that in time to come your children might not say to our children, What have you to do with the LORD God of Israel, O you Reubenites and Gadites?

25 ГОСПОДЬ сделал Иордан границей между нами и вами, потомки Рувима и Гада! Не можете вы участвовать в поклонении ГОСПОДУ!“ И тогда по вине ваших потомков наши дети потеряют благоговение перед ГОСПОДОМ.

25 For the LORD has made the Jordan a boundary between us and you; now therefore you have no part in the LORD; so in time to come shall your children make our children cease from worshipping the LORD.

26 Потому и решили мы построить жертвенник, но не для всесожжений или благодарственных жертв.

26 Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice;

27 Для нас с вами и для потомков наших будет он свидетельством того, что и мы можем служить ГОСПОДУ, представ перед Ним с нашими всесожжениями и благодарственными жертвами. И в будущем у ваших потомков не будет повода сказать нашим потомкам, что те не могут участвовать в поклонении ГОСПОДУ.

27 But that it may be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, and between ourselves and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings and with our sacrifices and with our peace offerings, in the place where the LORD chooses to dwell; so that your children may not say to our children in time to come, You have no part in the LORD.

28 Мы рассудили: когда в будущем нам или детям нашим так скажут, то мы ответим: „Взгляните на это подобие жертвенника ГОСПОДНЕГО, которое поставили наши отцы. Не для всесожжений или благодарственных жертв оно предназначено, оно — свидетельство для нас с вами“.

28 Therefore we said that it shall be, if they should ever speak to us or to our generations in time to come, then we may say to them, Behold the pattern of the altar of the LORD which our fathers made not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but to be a witness between us and you.

29 Да не будет даже в мыслях наших желания восстать против ГОСПОДА и, отступив от Него, построить второй жертвенник для всесожжений, хлебных даров и иных жертв, подобный тому жертвеннику ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего, что стоит пред Его Скинией».

29 God forbid that we should reject the worship of the LORD, and turn away from revering him, and build for ourselves an altar for burnt offerings, for gift offerings, or for sacrifices, besides the altar of the LORD God of Israel that is before his tabernacle.

30 Выслушав потомков из колен Рувима, Гада и Манассии, священник Финеес и сопровождавшие его вожди общины сочли их ответы убедительными.

30 And when Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest and the princes of the congregation and the heads of the armies of Israel who were with him heard the words that the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh spoke, it pleased them.

31 Потомкам Рувима, Гада и Манассии священник Финеес, сын Элеазара, сказал: «Теперь мы знаем, что ГОСПОДЬ среди нас и что вы не изменили ГОСПОДУ. Ныне вы доказали свою невиновность, и на израильтян не падет воздаяние ГОСПОДНЕ».

31 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said to the Reubenites and to the Gadites and to the half tribe of Manasseh. This day we know that the LORD is among us, because you have not committed this trespass against the LORD; now you have delivered the children of Israel, that the hand of the LORD might not be against them with wrath.

32 Покинув страну Гилад и потомков Рувима и Гада, священник Финеес, сын Элеазара, и вожди общины возвратились в Ханаан, к остальным израильтянам, и рассказали им обо всем, что было.

32 Then Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes who were with him, returned from the Reubenites and from the Gadites and the Manashites, out of the land of Gilead, to the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them an answer.

33 Их сообщение обрадовало израильтян. Они воздали Богу хвалу и больше не помышляли о войне против потомков Рувима и Гада и о разорении страны, в которой те жили.

33 And the answer pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and decided not to go up against them to battle to destroy the land wherein the Reubenites and the Gadites and the Manashites dwelt.

34 Потомки Рувима и Гада дали жертвеннику название «Свидетель». Они сказали: «Он и нам, и вам будет свидетельствовать о том, что ГОСПОДЬ — наш Бог».

34 And the Reubenites and the Gadites and the Manashites called the altar which they had made, The Altar of Testimony, for it is a witness between us that the LORD is the only God.
