Глава 14

1 Вот те владения, которые израильтяне получили в наследие в стране Ханаан; земли, что были назначены им Элеазаром-священником, Иисусом Навином и старейшинами колен Израилевых

2 и были распределены по жребию между девятью коленами и одной половиной семейств из колена Манассии, как повелел ГОСПОДЬ через Моисея.

3 А двум коленам — Рувима и Гада — и другой половине колена Манассии Моисей уже дал наследие — земли за Иорданом, на восточном берегу. Левитам же и на той стороне Моисей не назначил наследственных владений.

4 Потомки Иосифа составили не одно, а два колена — Манассии и Ефрема. А левитам не дали земельного удела — им предоставили лишь селения для проживания и прилегающие к ним пастбища для выгона скота и прочих нужд.

5 Как повелел ГОСПОДЬ Моисею, так и поступили израильтяне при разделе земли.

6 В Гилгале к Иисусу подошли потомки Иуды, и Халев, сын Ефуннэ, кениззей, сказал ему: «Ты же сам помнишь, что ГОСПОДЬ сказал про нас с тобой Моисею, человеку Божию, в Кадеш-Барнеа.

7 Было мне тогда сорок лет. Моисей, слуга ГОСПОДЕНЬ, послал меня из Кадеш-Барнеа осмотреть эту землю, и я, возвратившись к нему, рассказал всё без утайки.

8 Однако соплеменники мои, что ходили со мной осматривать землю, своими рассказами навели страх на народ. Я же во всем повиновался ГОСПОДУ, Богу моему.

9 В тот день Моисей клятвенно пообещал мне: „Земля, в пределы которой ты вступишь, будет вечным наследием твоим и потомков твоих, ибо ты во всем повиновался ГОСПОДУ, Богу моему“.

10 Ты видишь, что ГОСПОДЬ сберег мою жизнь, как обещал. Сорок пять лет прошло с тех пор, как ГОСПОДЬ сказал эти слова Моисею, когда израильтяне странствовали еще по пустыне. А ныне, взгляни на меня, мне уже восемьдесят пять.

11 Но я и сейчас еще полон сил, как в те времена, когда Моисей посылал меня осматривать землю. Сила у меня осталась прежняя: могу и войско в бой повести.

12 Потому ныне я и прошу тебя дать мне эту горную страну, которую тогда пообещал мне ГОСПОДЬ. Ты сам слышал в тот день, что живут там великаны и города у них большие, хорошо укрепленные. Быть может, ГОСПОДЬ пребудет со мной, и я захвачу их, как Он сказал!»

13 Благословил Иисус Халева, сына Ефуннэ, и отдал ему наследие его — Хеврон.

14 И по сей день принадлежит это наследие, Хеврон, потомкам Халева, сына Ефуннэ, кениззея, потому что Халев во всем повиновался ГОСПОДУ, Богу Израиля.

15 А прежде Хеврон назывался Кирьят-Арба (Арбой звали величайшего из потомков Анака). И прекратились войны в этой стране, настал мир.

Joshua

Chapter 14

1 AND these are the countries which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel distributed as inheritance to them.

2 By lot was their inheritance divided, as the LORD had commanded by the hand of Moses, to be given to the nine tribes and to the half tribe.

3 For Moses had given the inheritance of two tribes and a half tribe beyond the Jordan; but to the Levites he gave no inheritance.

4 For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim; therefore he gave no portion to the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.

5 As the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel, and they divided the land.

6 Then the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal; and Caleb the son of Jophaniah the Kenezite said to Joshua, You know the thing that the LORD spoke to Moses his servant concerning me and you at Rakim-gia.

7 I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Rakim-gia to spy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in my heart.

8 Nevertheless our brethren who went up with us made the heart of the people quake; but I wholly followed the LORD my God.

9 And Moses swore at that time, saying, Surely the land on which your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance, and your children's forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD God.

10 And now, behold, the LORD has given us rest, as he said; behold, it is forty-five years since the LORD spoke this word to Moses, while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, lo, I am this day eighty-five years old,

11 And today I am as strong as the day when Moses sent me; as my strength was then, so is my strength now, for war, both to go out and to come in.

12 Now therefore give me this mountain, of which the LORD spoke on that day; for you have heard on that day how the giants were there, and that the cities were great and fortified; perhaps the LORD will be with me, and I shall destroy them, as the LORD said.

13 And Joshua blessed Caleb the son of Jophaniah, and gave him Hebron and its environs as an inheritance.

14 Hebron therefore and its environs became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jophaniah the Kenezite to this day, because he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.

15 And the name of Hebron and its environs before was Koriath-arba, which belonged to the giants. And the land rested from war.

2 и были распределены по жребию между девятью коленами и одной половиной семейств из колена Манассии, как повелел ГОСПОДЬ через Моисея.

3 А двум коленам — Рувима и Гада — и другой половине колена Манассии Моисей уже дал наследие — земли за Иорданом, на восточном берегу. Левитам же и на той стороне Моисей не назначил наследственных владений.

3 For Moses had given the inheritance of two tribes and a half tribe beyond the Jordan; but to the Levites he gave no inheritance.

4 Потомки Иосифа составили не одно, а два колена — Манассии и Ефрема. А левитам не дали земельного удела — им предоставили лишь селения для проживания и прилегающие к ним пастбища для выгона скота и прочих нужд.

4 For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim; therefore he gave no portion to the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.

5 Как повелел ГОСПОДЬ Моисею, так и поступили израильтяне при разделе земли.

5 As the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel, and they divided the land.

6 В Гилгале к Иисусу подошли потомки Иуды, и Халев, сын Ефуннэ, кениззей, сказал ему: «Ты же сам помнишь, что ГОСПОДЬ сказал про нас с тобой Моисею, человеку Божию, в Кадеш-Барнеа.

6 Then the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal; and Caleb the son of Jophaniah the Kenezite said to Joshua, You know the thing that the LORD spoke to Moses his servant concerning me and you at Rakim-gia.

7 Было мне тогда сорок лет. Моисей, слуга ГОСПОДЕНЬ, послал меня из Кадеш-Барнеа осмотреть эту землю, и я, возвратившись к нему, рассказал всё без утайки.

7 I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Rakim-gia to spy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in my heart.

8 Однако соплеменники мои, что ходили со мной осматривать землю, своими рассказами навели страх на народ. Я же во всем повиновался ГОСПОДУ, Богу моему.

8 Nevertheless our brethren who went up with us made the heart of the people quake; but I wholly followed the LORD my God.

9 В тот день Моисей клятвенно пообещал мне: „Земля, в пределы которой ты вступишь, будет вечным наследием твоим и потомков твоих, ибо ты во всем повиновался ГОСПОДУ, Богу моему“.

9 And Moses swore at that time, saying, Surely the land on which your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance, and your children's forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD God.

10 Ты видишь, что ГОСПОДЬ сберег мою жизнь, как обещал. Сорок пять лет прошло с тех пор, как ГОСПОДЬ сказал эти слова Моисею, когда израильтяне странствовали еще по пустыне. А ныне, взгляни на меня, мне уже восемьдесят пять.

10 And now, behold, the LORD has given us rest, as he said; behold, it is forty-five years since the LORD spoke this word to Moses, while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, lo, I am this day eighty-five years old,

11 Но я и сейчас еще полон сил, как в те времена, когда Моисей посылал меня осматривать землю. Сила у меня осталась прежняя: могу и войско в бой повести.

11 And today I am as strong as the day when Moses sent me; as my strength was then, so is my strength now, for war, both to go out and to come in.

12 Потому ныне я и прошу тебя дать мне эту горную страну, которую тогда пообещал мне ГОСПОДЬ. Ты сам слышал в тот день, что живут там великаны и города у них большие, хорошо укрепленные. Быть может, ГОСПОДЬ пребудет со мной, и я захвачу их, как Он сказал!»

12 Now therefore give me this mountain, of which the LORD spoke on that day; for you have heard on that day how the giants were there, and that the cities were great and fortified; perhaps the LORD will be with me, and I shall destroy them, as the LORD said.

13 Благословил Иисус Халева, сына Ефуннэ, и отдал ему наследие его — Хеврон.

13 And Joshua blessed Caleb the son of Jophaniah, and gave him Hebron and its environs as an inheritance.

14 И по сей день принадлежит это наследие, Хеврон, потомкам Халева, сына Ефуннэ, кениззея, потому что Халев во всем повиновался ГОСПОДУ, Богу Израиля.

14 Hebron therefore and its environs became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jophaniah the Kenezite to this day, because he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.

15 А прежде Хеврон назывался Кирьят-Арба (Арбой звали величайшего из потомков Анака). И прекратились войны в этой стране, настал мир.

15 And the name of Hebron and its environs before was Koriath-arba, which belonged to the giants. And the land rested from war.
