3 And Judah3063 spoke559 to him, saying,559 The man376 did solemnly5749 protest5749 to us, saying,559 You shall not see7200 my face,6440 except1115 your brother251 be with you.

3 Da antwortete559 ihm Juda3063 und5749 sprach559: Der Mann376 band uns das hart ein5749 und sprach559: Ihr sollt mein Angesicht6440 nicht1115 sehen7200, es sei denn euer Bruder251 mit euch.

4 If518 you will send7971 our brother251 with us, we will go3381 down3381 and buy7666 you food:400
|
4 Ist3426‘s nun, daß du unsern Bruder251 mit uns sendest7971, so wollen wir hinabziehen3381 und dir zu essen400 kaufen7666;
|
|
5 But if518 you will not send7971 him, we will not go3381 down:3381 for the man376 said559 to us, You shall not see7200 my face,6440 except1115 your brother251 be with you.
|
5 ist‘s aber, daß du ihn6440 nicht sendest, so ziehen7971 wir nicht hinab3381. Denn der Mann376 hat gesagt559 zu uns: Ihr sollt mein Angesicht nicht sehen7200, euer Bruder251 sei denn mit euch.

6 And Israel3478 said,559 Why4100 dealt you so ill7489 with me, as to tell5046 the man376 whether5750 you had yet5750 a brother?251
|
6 Israel3478 sprach559: Warum habt ihr so übel7489 an mir getan, daß ihr dem Manne376 angesagt5046, wie ihr noch einen Bruder251 habt?

7 And they said,559 The man376 asked7592 us straightly of our state, and of our kindred,4138 saying,559 Is your father1 yet alive?2416 have3426 you another brother?251 and we told5046 him according5921 to the tenor6310 of these428 words:1697 could we certainly know3045 that he would say,559 Bring3381 your brother251 down?3381

7 Sie559 antworteten: Der Mann376 forschete so genau nach uns und unserer Freundschaft4138 und sprach559: Lebet euer Vater1 noch? Habt7592 ihr3426 auch noch einen Bruder251? Da sagten5046 wir ihm, wie5921 er2416 uns fragte7592. Wie3045 konnten wir soeben wissen3045, daß6310 er sagen559 würde: Bringet euren Bruder251 mit1697 hernieder3381?

8 And Judah3063 said559 to Israel3478 his father,1 Send7971 the lad5288 with me, and we will arise6965 and go;3212 that we may live,2421 and not die,4191 both1571 we, and you, and also1571 our little2945 ones.

8 Da sprach559 Juda3063 zu Israel3478, seinem Vater1: Laß den Knaben5288 mit mir ziehen7971, daß wir2421 uns aufmachen6965 und reisen3212, und leben und nicht sterben4191, beide wir und du und unsere Kindlein2945.

9 I will be surety6148 for him; of my hand3027 shall you require1245 him: if518 I bring935 him not to you, and set3322 him before6440 you, then let me bear2398 the blame2398 for ever:3605
|
9 Ich will935 Bürge6148 für ihn sein; von meinen Händen3027 sollst du1245 ihn fordern. Wenn518 ich dir ihn nicht518 wiederbringe und vor deine Augen6440 stelle3322, so will ich mein Leben lang3117 die Schuld tragen2398.

10 For except3884 we had lingered,4102 surely3588 now6258 we had returned7725 this2088 second time.6471

10 Denn wo3884 wir nicht hätten verzogen4102, wären wir schon wohl zweimal6471 wiederkommen7725.
|
|
11 And their father1 Israel3478 said559 to them, If518 it must be so3651 now,645 do6213 this;2063 take3947 of the best2173 fruits2173 in the land776 in your vessels,3627 and carry3381 down3381 the man376 a present,4503 a little4592 balm,6875 and a little4592 honey,1706 spices,5219 and myrrh,3910 nuts,992 and almonds:8247

11 Da sprach559 Israel3478, ihr Vater1, zu6213 ihnen: Muß es denn645 ja also sein, so tut‘s und nehmet von des Landes776 besten Früchten2173 in eure Säcke3627 und bringet3947 dem Manne376 Geschenke4503 hinab3381, ein wenig4592 Balsam6875 und Honig1706 und Würze5219 und Myrrhen und Datteln992 und Mandeln8247.

12 And take3947 double4932 money3701 in your hand;3027 and the money3701 that was brought7725 again7725 in the mouth6310 of your sacks,572 carry7725 it again7725 in your hand;3027 peradventure194 it was an oversight:4870

12 Nehmet auch ander Geld3701 mit euch3027; und das Geld3701, das euch3027 oben6310 in euren Säcken572 wieder7725 worden ist3947, bringet auch wieder7725 mit euch. Vielleicht ist ein Irrtum da geschehen4870.

13 Take3947 also your brother,251 and arise,6965 go7725 again7725 to the man:376
|
13 Dazu nehmet euren Bruder251, machet euch auf3947 und kommet wieder7725 zu dem Manne376.
|
|
14 And God410 Almighty7706 give5414 you mercy7356 before6440 the man,376 that he may send7971 away your other312 brother,251 and Benjamin.1144 If834 I be bereaved7921 of my children, I am bereaved.7921
|
14 Aber der allmächtige7706 GOtt410 gebe5414 euch Barmherzigkeit7356 vor6440 dem Manne376, daß er euch lasse7971 euren andern312 Bruder251 und Benjamin1144. Ich aber muß sein wie834 einer, der seiner Kinder gar beraubt ist7921.

15 And the men582 took3947 that present,4503 and they took3947 double4932 money3701 in their hand 3027and Benjamin;1144 and rose6965 up, and went3381 down3381 to Egypt,4714 and stood5975 before6440 Joseph.3130

15 Da nahmen3947 sie582 diese Geschenke4503 und das2063 Geld3701 zwiefältig4932 mit sich3027 und Benjamin1144, machten sich6965 auf3947, zogen3381 nach Ägypten4714 und traten5975 vor6440 Joseph3130.

16 And when Joseph3130 saw7200 Benjamin1144 with them, he said559 to the ruler834 5921 of his house,1004 Bring935 these men582 home,1004 and slay,2874 and make ready;3559 for these men582 shall dine398 with me at noon.6672

16 Da sah7200 sie582 Joseph3130 mit854 Benjamin1144 und sprach559 zu3559 seinem Haushalter1004: Führe935 diese Männer582 zu Hause1004 und schlachte2873 und richte zu; denn sie sollen zu Mittag6672 mit mir essen398.

17 And the man376 did6213 as Joseph3130 bade;559 and the man376 brought935 the men582 into Joseph's3130 house.1004

17 Und376 der Mann376 tat935, wie ihm Joseph3130 gesagt559 hatte6213, und führete die Männer582 in Josephs3130 Haus1004.
|
|
18 And the men582 were afraid,3372 because3588 they were brought935 into Joseph's3130 house;1004 and they said,559 Because5921 1697 of the money3701 that was returned7725 in our sacks572 at the first8462 time8462 are we brought935 in; that he may seek1556 occasion1556 against5921 us, and fall5307 on us, and take3947 us for slaves,5650 and our asses.2543

18 Sie2543 fürchteten3372 sich5307 aber, daß sie in Josephs3130 Haus1004 geführt wurden, und sprachen559: Wir582 sind935 hereingeführt um1697 des Geldes3701 willen, das wir in unsern Säcken572 vorhin8462 wieder7725 funden haben, daß er‘s auf3947 uns bringe935 und fälle ein Urteil über uns, damit er uns nehme zu eigenen Knechten5650 samt unsern Eseln.

19 And they came5066 near5066 to the steward376 of Joseph's3130 house,1004 and they communed1696 with him at the door6607 of the house,1004

19 Darum traten sie5066 zu Josephs3130 Haushalter376 und1004 redeten1696 mit ihm vor der Haustür1004
|
|
20 And said,559 O sir,113 we came3381 indeed down3381 at the first8462 time8462 to buy7666 food:400
|
20 und sprachen559: Mein Herr113, wir sind3381 vorhin8462 herabgezogen3381, Speise400 zu kaufen7666.
|
|
21 And it came1961 to pass, when3588 we came935 to the inn,4411 that we opened6605 our sacks,572 and, behold,2009 every man's376 money3701 was in the mouth6310 of his sack,572 our money3701 in full weight:4948 and we have brought7725 it again7725 in our hand.3027

21 Und3701 da wir in die Herberge4411 kamen935 und unsere Säcke572 auftaten6605, siehe, da war eines jeglichen376 Geld3701 oben6310 in seinem Sack572 mit völligem Gewicht4948; darum haben wir‘s wieder7725 mit uns3027 gebracht,

22 And other312 money3701 have we brought3381 down3381 in our hands3027 to buy7666 food:400 we cannot3808 tell3045 who4310 put7760 our money3701 in our sacks.572

22 haben auch ander312 Geld3701 mit uns3027 herabgebracht, Speise400 zu kaufen7666; wir wissen3045 aber nicht, wer uns unser Geld3701 in unsere Säcke572 gesteckt hat7760.

23 And he said,559 Peace7965 be to you, fear3372 not: your God,430 and the God430 of your father,1 has given5414 you treasure4301 in your sacks:572 I had935 your money.3701 And he brought3318 Simeon8095 out to them.
|
23 Er aber sprach559: Gehabt euch3372 wohl7965, fürchtet euch nicht. Euer GOtt430 und eures Vaters1 GOtt430 hat euch einen Schatz4301 gegeben5414 in eure Säcke572. Euer Geld3701 ist935 mir worden. Und er führete Simeon8095 zu ihnen heraus3318

24 And the man376 brought935 the men582 into Joseph's3130 house,1004 and gave5414 them water,4325 and they washed7364 their feet;7272 and he gave5414 their asses2543 provender.4554
|
24 und376 führete sie582 in Josephs3130 Haus1004, gab5414 ihnen Wasser4325, daß sie2543 ihre Füße7272 wuschen7364, und935 gab5414 ihren Eseln Futter4554.
|
|
25 And they made ready3559 the present4503 against5704 Joseph3130 came935 at noon:6672 for they heard8085 that they should eat398 bread3899 there.8033
|
25 Sie aber bereiteten das8085 Geschenk4503 zu3559, bis5704 daß Joseph3130 kam935 auf den Mittag6672; denn sie hatten gehöret, daß sie daselbst das Brot3899 essen398 sollten.

|
26 And when Joseph3130 came935 home,1004 they brought935 him the present4503 which834 was in their hand3027 into the house,1004 and bowed7812 themselves to him to the earth.776
|
26 Da nun Joseph3130 zum Hause1004 einging935, brachten935 sie ihm zu Hause1004 das Geschenk4503 in ihren Händen3027 und fielen vor ihm nieder7812 zur Erden776.
|
|
27 And he asked7592 them of their welfare,7965 and said,559 Is your father1 well,7965 the old2205 man of whom834 you spoke?559 Is he yet5750 alive?2416
|
27 Er2416 aber grüßte7592 sie559 freundlich7965 und sprach559: Gehet es eurem Vater1, dem alten2205, wohl, von dem ihr mir sagtet? Lebet er noch?
|
|
28 And they answered,559 Your servant5650 our father1 is in good7965 health,7965 he is yet5750 alive.2416 And they bowed6915 down6915 their heads, and made obeisance.7812
|
28 Sie559 antworteten: Es gehet deinem Knechte5650, unserm Vater1, wohl7965 und lebet noch. Und neigeten sich6915 und fielen vor ihm nieder7812.
|
|
29 And he lifted5375 up his eyes,5869 and saw7200 his brother251 Benjamin,1144 his mother's517 son,1121 and said,559 Is this2088 your younger6996 brother,251 of whom834 you spoke559 to me? And he said,559 God430 be gracious2603 to you, my son.1121
|
29 Und559 er hub seine Augen5869 auf5375 und sah7200 seinen Bruder251 Benjamin1144, seiner Mutter517 Sohn1121, und sprach559: Ist das euer jüngster6996 Bruder251, da ihr mir von sagtet? Und sprach559 weiter: GOtt430 sei dir gnädig2603, mein Sohn1121!

30 And Joseph3130 made haste;4116 for his bowels7356 did yearn3648 on his brother:251 and he sought1245 where to weep;1058 and he entered935 into his chamber,2315 and wept1058 there.8033
|
30 Und Joseph3130 eilete, denn sein Herz7356 entbrannte3648 ihm gegen seinen Bruder251, und suchte1245, wo er weinete; und ging935 in seine Kammer2315 und weinete daselbst.
|
|
31 And he washed7364 his face,6440 and went3318 out, and refrained662 himself, and said,559 Set7760 on bread.3899
|
31 Und da er7760 sein Angesicht gewaschen hatte7364, ging3318 er heraus und hielt sich fest662 und sprach559: Leget Brot3899 auf6440!
|
|
32 And they set7760 on for him by himself, and for them by themselves,905 and for the Egyptians,4713 which did eat398 with him, by themselves:905 because3588 the Egyptians4713 might3201 not eat398 bread3899 with the Hebrews;5680 for that is an abomination8441 to the Egyptians.4714
|
32 Und man trug7760 ihm besonders auf und jenen auch besonders und den Ägyptern4713, die mit ihm aßen398, auch besonders. Denn die Ägypter4713 dürfen3201 nicht Brot3899 essen398 mit den Ebräern, denn es ist ein Greuel8441 vor ihnen.

33 And they sat3427 before6440 him, the firstborn1060 according to his birthright,1062 and the youngest6810 according to his youth:6812 and the men582 marveled8539 one376 at413 another.7453
|
33 Und man setzte sie582 gegen6440 ihn, den Erstgebornen nach seiner Erstgeburt1060 und den Jüngsten6810 nach seiner Jugend6812. Des verwunderten8539 sie sich3427 untereinander376.
|
|
34 And he took5375 and sent7971 messes4864 to them from before6440 him: but Benjamin's1144 mess4864 was five2568 times3027 so much7235 as any3605 of their's. And they drank,8354 and were merry7937 with him.
|
34 Und man trug5375 ihnen Essen4864 vor6440 von3027 seinem Tisch; aber dem Benjamin1144 ward fünfmal2568 mehr7235 denn den andern. Und sie tranken8354 und wurden trunken7937 mit ihm.
