1 І сталося, року чотирисотого й вісімдесятого по ви́ході Ізраїлевих синів з єгипетського кра́ю, четвертого року Соломонового царюва́ння над Ізраїлем, місяця зіва, почав він будувати той храм для Господа.

2 А той храм, що цар Соломон збудував для Господа, — шістдеся́т ліктів довжина́ його, а двадцять — ширина́ його, а тридцять ліктів — вишина́ його.

3 А притво́р перед храмом цього дому — двадцять ліктів довжина його, відповідно широ́кости храму, десять лі́ктів ширина його перед храмом.

4 І зробив він для храму прозо́рі ві́кна, широкі знадво́ру й вузькі́ всере́дині.

5 А до стіни храму збудував він прибуді́вку навко́ло, зо стінами дому навколо храму та найсвяті́шого, і поробив бічні́ кімна́ти навко́ло.

6 До́лішня прибуді́вка — ширина її п'ять лі́ктів, а середня — шість лі́ктів ширина її, а третя — сім лі́ктів ширина її, бо він дав навко́ло храму знадво́ру ви́ступи, щоб не тримати їх у сті́нах храму.

7 А храм, коли був будо́ваний, будувався з ви́кінченого ка́меня з каменоло́мні, а молотки́ та сокира, всяке залізне знаря́ддя не було чуте в храмі, коли його будували.

8 Вхід до сере́дньої бічно́ї кімна́ти був з правого боку храму, а кру́ченими схо́дами вхо́дили до середньої, а з середньої — до третьої.

9 І збудував він той храм та й покінчи́в його. І покрив він храм дошка́ми та бруска́ми ке́дрових дере́в.

10 І збудував він прибуді́вку на ввесь храм, — п'ять ліктів вишина її, і вона трималася храму ке́дровими дереви́нами.

11 І було́ Господнє слово до Соломона, говорячи:

12 „Цей храм, що ти будуєш, — якщо ти ходи́тимеш Моїми уставами й постано́ви Мої бу́деш вико́нувати, і будеш дотри́мувати всі Мої за́повіді, щоб ними ходити, то Я ви́повню на тобі Своє слово, яке Я говорив був ба́тькові твоєму Давидові.

13 І пробува́тиму посеред Ізраїлевих синів, і не покину Свого Ізра́їлевого наро́ду“.

14 І збудував Соломон той храм та й скінчи́в його.

15 І побудував він сті́ни храму зсере́дини з ке́дрових дощо́к, від підлоги храму аж до стін стро́пу покрив усере́дині де́ревом, а підло́гу храму покрив кипари́совими до́шками.

16 I збудував тих двадцять лі́ктів стіни́ з-заду храму з ке́дрових дощо́к, від підлоги аж до стін стропу, і це збудував йому зсере́дини за девіра, за Святеє Святих.

17 А той храм був на сорок лі́ктів, він — той, що перед девіром.

18 А на кедри́ні всере́дині храму була різьба́ огіркі́в та відкритих кві́тів. Усе — кедри́на, камінь був невидний.

19 А найсвятіше він приготовив усере́дині храму, щоб дати туди ковче́га Господнього заповіту.

20 А сере́дина найсвятішого двадцять лі́ктів довжина́, і двадцять ліктів ширина́, і двадцять ліктів вишина́ його, і він покрив його щи́рим золотом, і також покрив ке́дрового же́ртівника.

21 І Соломон покрив той храм зсере́дини щирим золотом, а перед найсвятішим перетягнув золотими ланцюга́ми, та покрив його золотом.

22 І ввесь храм він покрив золотом аж до кінця всього храму і всього же́ртівника, що при найсвятішому, покрив золотом.

23 І зробив у найсвятішому двох херуви́мів з оливкового дерева, — десять лі́ктів вишина́ його.

24 І п'ять ліктів одне крило́ херуви́ма, і п'ять ліктів дру́ге крило херувима; десять ліктів від кі́нця́ одно́го його крила і аж до кі́нця другого його крила.

25 І десять лі́ктів був і другий херувим, — одна міра й один вид обом херуви́мам.

26 Височина́ одно́го херувима — десять ліктів, і так і другого херувима.

27 І дав він тих херувимів усере́дині внутрішнього храму. І херувими простяга́ли свої крила, і торкалося крило́ одно́го однієї стіни, а крило́ другого херувима торкалося другої стіни. А їхні внутрішні кри́ла дотикалися крило́ до крила́.

28 І він покрив херувимів золотом.

29 А всі стіни храму навколо приоздо́бив ритими рі́зьбами херувимів і пальм та розкритих квітів, зсере́дини та від зо́внішньої частини.

30 А підлогу храму він покрив золотом для внутрішньої та для зо́внішньої частини.

31 А на вхід до найсвятішого зробив двері з оли́вкового де́рева; стовп, бічні одві́рки — п'ятику́тні.

32 І двоє двере́й були з оли́вкового де́рева, і на них були поро́блені рі́зьби херувимів і пальм та розкритих квітів, і покрив золотом; і обклав золотом тих херувимів та ті па́льми.

33 І так пороби́в і одві́рки для входу до храму, з оливкового дерева, одвірки чотирику́тні.

34 А двоє двере́й були з кипари́сового де́рева. Дві частині одних дверей та дві частині других дверей були рухомі.

35 І повирі́зував на них херувимів і пальми та розкриті квіти, і покрив золотом, ви́кутим по різьбі́.

36 І збудував він уну́трішній двір, — три ряди те́саного каменя та ряд стя́того ке́дрового бру́сся.

37 Року четвертого був зало́жений храм Господній, у місяці зів,

38 а року одина́дцятого, у місяці бул, — він місяць во́сьмий — був закі́нчений той храм зо всіма́ речами його та за всіма́ планами його. І він будував його сім років.

Chapter 6

1 AND it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of May, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

2 And the house which Solomon built for the LORD was in length sixty cubits and in breadth twenty cubits and in height thirty cubits.

3 And the porch in front of the door of the temple was twenty cubits long, the same as the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the depth before the length of the house.

4 And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.

5 And against the wall of the house he built rooms encircling the wall of the house, both of the temple and of the Holy of Holies; and he made side rooms round about.

6 The lowest chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad; for outside in the wall of the house he made narrowed copings round about in order that the walls should be fastened together.

7 And the house, when it was building, was made of stones hewn before they were brought thither; so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house while it was building.

8 The door of the middle chamber was on the south side of the house; and it went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.

9 So he built the house and finished it; and roofed the house with beams and boards of cedar.

10 And then he built additional rooms against the whole house, five cubits high, and they were fastened to the house with timbers of cedar.

11 And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,

12 Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and execute my judgments and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will perform my word with you, which I spoke to David your father;

13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and I will not forsake my people Israel.

14 So Solomon built the house and finished it.

15 And he covered the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, from the floor of the house, to the rafters of the ceiling; and he covered them on the inside with wood, and he covered the floor of the house with boards of cypress.

16 And Solomon built twenty cubits in extent on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar; and he built within it the Holy of Holies.

17 And the house, that is, the inner sanctuary, was forty cubits long.

18 And the house was covered within with cedar, which was carved with buds and open flowers; all was cedar; there was no stone seen in it.

19 And the holy place he made in the inner part of the house, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

20 And the length of the holy place was twenty cubits, and the breadth was twenty cubits, and the height was twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with pure gold; and he covered the altar with gold.

21 And Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold; and he made a doorpost in front of the sanctuary, and overlaid it with gold.

22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished; also the whole altar that was in the sanctuary he overlaid with gold.

23 And within the sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.

24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub, ten cubits from the tip of the one wing to the tip of the other.

25 And the other cherub was ten cubits; both cherubim were of the same measure and the same size.

26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.

27 And he set the cherubim within the inner house; and the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth so that the wing of one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched each other in the middle of the house.

28 And he overlaid the cherubim with pure gold.

29 And he carved all the walls of the house round about with ornaments; and he fashioned carved ornaments and cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.

30 And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.

31 And for the entrance of the sanctuary he made doors of olive wood; the lintel and the doorposts were strongly fastened.

32 The two doors also were of olive wood; and he carved upon them figures of cherubim, and carved ornaments and palm trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubim and upon the palm trees.

33 So also he made for the door of the temple, posts of olive wood, plain and square.

34 And the two doors were of fir wood; the two leaves of the one door were ornamented, and the two leaves of the other door were ornamented.

35 And he carved on them cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, and covered them with gold overlaid upon the carved work.

36 And he built the inner court with three rows of hewn stone and a row of cedar beams.

37 In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month of May;

38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Tishrin, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all its parts, and according to all the fashion of it. So he was seven years in building it.

1 AND it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of May, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

2 А той храм, що цар Соломон збудував для Господа, — шістдеся́т ліктів довжина́ його, а двадцять — ширина́ його, а тридцять ліктів — вишина́ його.

2 And the house which Solomon built for the LORD was in length sixty cubits and in breadth twenty cubits and in height thirty cubits.

3 А притво́р перед храмом цього дому — двадцять ліктів довжина його, відповідно широ́кости храму, десять лі́ктів ширина його перед храмом.

3 And the porch in front of the door of the temple was twenty cubits long, the same as the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the depth before the length of the house.

4 And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.

5 А до стіни храму збудував він прибуді́вку навко́ло, зо стінами дому навколо храму та найсвяті́шого, і поробив бічні́ кімна́ти навко́ло.

5 And against the wall of the house he built rooms encircling the wall of the house, both of the temple and of the Holy of Holies; and he made side rooms round about.

6 До́лішня прибуді́вка — ширина її п'ять лі́ктів, а середня — шість лі́ктів ширина її, а третя — сім лі́ктів ширина її, бо він дав навко́ло храму знадво́ру ви́ступи, щоб не тримати їх у сті́нах храму.

6 The lowest chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad; for outside in the wall of the house he made narrowed copings round about in order that the walls should be fastened together.

7 А храм, коли був будо́ваний, будувався з ви́кінченого ка́меня з каменоло́мні, а молотки́ та сокира, всяке залізне знаря́ддя не було чуте в храмі, коли його будували.

7 And the house, when it was building, was made of stones hewn before they were brought thither; so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house while it was building.

8 Вхід до сере́дньої бічно́ї кімна́ти був з правого боку храму, а кру́ченими схо́дами вхо́дили до середньої, а з середньої — до третьої.

8 The door of the middle chamber was on the south side of the house; and it went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.

9 І збудував він той храм та й покінчи́в його. І покрив він храм дошка́ми та бруска́ми ке́дрових дере́в.

9 So he built the house and finished it; and roofed the house with beams and boards of cedar.

10 І збудував він прибуді́вку на ввесь храм, — п'ять ліктів вишина її, і вона трималася храму ке́дровими дереви́нами.

10 And then he built additional rooms against the whole house, five cubits high, and they were fastened to the house with timbers of cedar.

11 І було́ Господнє слово до Соломона, говорячи:

11 And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,

12 „Цей храм, що ти будуєш, — якщо ти ходи́тимеш Моїми уставами й постано́ви Мої бу́деш вико́нувати, і будеш дотри́мувати всі Мої за́повіді, щоб ними ходити, то Я ви́повню на тобі Своє слово, яке Я говорив був ба́тькові твоєму Давидові.

12 Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and execute my judgments and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will perform my word with you, which I spoke to David your father;

13 І пробува́тиму посеред Ізраїлевих синів, і не покину Свого Ізра́їлевого наро́ду“.

13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and I will not forsake my people Israel.

14 І збудував Соломон той храм та й скінчи́в його.

14 So Solomon built the house and finished it.

15 І побудував він сті́ни храму зсере́дини з ке́дрових дощо́к, від підлоги храму аж до стін стро́пу покрив усере́дині де́ревом, а підло́гу храму покрив кипари́совими до́шками.

15 And he covered the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, from the floor of the house, to the rafters of the ceiling; and he covered them on the inside with wood, and he covered the floor of the house with boards of cypress.

16 I збудував тих двадцять лі́ктів стіни́ з-заду храму з ке́дрових дощо́к, від підлоги аж до стін стропу, і це збудував йому зсере́дини за девіра, за Святеє Святих.

16 And Solomon built twenty cubits in extent on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar; and he built within it the Holy of Holies.

17 А той храм був на сорок лі́ктів, він — той, що перед девіром.

17 And the house, that is, the inner sanctuary, was forty cubits long.

18 А на кедри́ні всере́дині храму була різьба́ огіркі́в та відкритих кві́тів. Усе — кедри́на, камінь був невидний.

18 And the house was covered within with cedar, which was carved with buds and open flowers; all was cedar; there was no stone seen in it.

19 А найсвятіше він приготовив усере́дині храму, щоб дати туди ковче́га Господнього заповіту.

19 And the holy place he made in the inner part of the house, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

20 А сере́дина найсвятішого двадцять лі́ктів довжина́, і двадцять ліктів ширина́, і двадцять ліктів вишина́ його, і він покрив його щи́рим золотом, і також покрив ке́дрового же́ртівника.

20 And the length of the holy place was twenty cubits, and the breadth was twenty cubits, and the height was twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with pure gold; and he covered the altar with gold.

21 І Соломон покрив той храм зсере́дини щирим золотом, а перед найсвятішим перетягнув золотими ланцюга́ми, та покрив його золотом.

21 And Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold; and he made a doorpost in front of the sanctuary, and overlaid it with gold.

22 І ввесь храм він покрив золотом аж до кінця всього храму і всього же́ртівника, що при найсвятішому, покрив золотом.

22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished; also the whole altar that was in the sanctuary he overlaid with gold.

23 І зробив у найсвятішому двох херуви́мів з оливкового дерева, — десять лі́ктів вишина́ його.

23 And within the sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.

24 І п'ять ліктів одне крило́ херуви́ма, і п'ять ліктів дру́ге крило херувима; десять ліктів від кі́нця́ одно́го його крила і аж до кі́нця другого його крила.

24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub, ten cubits from the tip of the one wing to the tip of the other.

25 І десять лі́ктів був і другий херувим, — одна міра й один вид обом херуви́мам.

25 And the other cherub was ten cubits; both cherubim were of the same measure and the same size.

26 Височина́ одно́го херувима — десять ліктів, і так і другого херувима.

26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.

27 І дав він тих херувимів усере́дині внутрішнього храму. І херувими простяга́ли свої крила, і торкалося крило́ одно́го однієї стіни, а крило́ другого херувима торкалося другої стіни. А їхні внутрішні кри́ла дотикалися крило́ до крила́.

27 And he set the cherubim within the inner house; and the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth so that the wing of one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched each other in the middle of the house.

28 І він покрив херувимів золотом.

28 And he overlaid the cherubim with pure gold.

29 А всі стіни храму навколо приоздо́бив ритими рі́зьбами херувимів і пальм та розкритих квітів, зсере́дини та від зо́внішньої частини.

29 And he carved all the walls of the house round about with ornaments; and he fashioned carved ornaments and cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.

30 А підлогу храму він покрив золотом для внутрішньої та для зо́внішньої частини.

30 And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.

31 А на вхід до найсвятішого зробив двері з оли́вкового де́рева; стовп, бічні одві́рки — п'ятику́тні.

31 And for the entrance of the sanctuary he made doors of olive wood; the lintel and the doorposts were strongly fastened.

32 І двоє двере́й були з оли́вкового де́рева, і на них були поро́блені рі́зьби херувимів і пальм та розкритих квітів, і покрив золотом; і обклав золотом тих херувимів та ті па́льми.

32 The two doors also were of olive wood; and he carved upon them figures of cherubim, and carved ornaments and palm trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubim and upon the palm trees.

33 І так пороби́в і одві́рки для входу до храму, з оливкового дерева, одвірки чотирику́тні.

33 So also he made for the door of the temple, posts of olive wood, plain and square.

34 А двоє двере́й були з кипари́сового де́рева. Дві частині одних дверей та дві частині других дверей були рухомі.

34 And the two doors were of fir wood; the two leaves of the one door were ornamented, and the two leaves of the other door were ornamented.

35 І повирі́зував на них херувимів і пальми та розкриті квіти, і покрив золотом, ви́кутим по різьбі́.

35 And he carved on them cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, and covered them with gold overlaid upon the carved work.

36 І збудував він уну́трішній двір, — три ряди те́саного каменя та ряд стя́того ке́дрового бру́сся.

36 And he built the inner court with three rows of hewn stone and a row of cedar beams.

37 Року четвертого був зало́жений храм Господній, у місяці зів,

37 In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month of May;

38 а року одина́дцятого, у місяці бул, — він місяць во́сьмий — був закі́нчений той храм зо всіма́ речами його та за всіма́ планами його. І він будував його сім років.
