1 Будьте наслідувачами мене, як і я Христа!

2 Похваляю ж вас, браття, що ви все моє пам'ятаєте, і захо́вуєте так переда́ння, як я вам передав.

3 Хо́чу ж я, щоб ви знали, що всякому чоловікові голова — Христос, а жінці голова — чоловік, голова ж Христові — Бог.

4 Кожен чоловік, що молиться чи пророкує з головою покритою, — осоромлює він свою го́лову.

5 І кожна жінка, що молиться чи пророкує з головою відкритою, осоромлює тим свою го́лову, бо це є те саме, як була́ б вона виголена.

6 Бо коли жінка не покривається, хай стрижеться вона; коли ж жінці сором стри́гтися чи голитися, нехай покривається!

7 Отож, чоловік покривати голови не повинен, бо він образ і слава Бога, а жінка — чоловікові слава.

8 Бо чоловік не походить від жінки, але жінка від чоловіка,

9 не ство́рений бо чоловік ради жінки, але жінка ради чоловіка.

10 Тому жінка повина мати на голові знака вла́ди над нею, ради анголів.

11 Одначе в Господі ані чоловік без жінки, ані жінка без чоловіка.

12 Бо як жінка від чоловіка, так і чоловік через жінку; а все — від Бога.

13 Поміркуйте самі між собою, чи присто́йне воно, щоб жінка молилася Богові непокрита?

14 Чи ж природа сама вас не вчить, що коли чоловік запускає воло́сся, то безчестя для нього?

15 Коли ж жінка ко́су запускає, — це слава для неї, бо замість покрива́ла да́на коса́ їй.

16 Коли ж хто сперечатися хоче, — ми такого звича́ю не маємо, ані Церкви́ Божі.

17 Пропонуючи це вам, я не хвалю́, що збираєтесь ви не на ліпше, а на гірше.

18 Бо найперше, я чую, що як схо́дитесь ви на збо́ри, то між вами бувають поді́лення, у що почасти я й вірю.

19 Бо мусять між вами й поділи бути, щоб відкрились між вами й досвідчені.

20 А далі, коли ви збираєтесь ра́зом, то не на те, щоб їсти Господню Вече́рю.

21 Бо кожен спішить з'їсти власну вече́рю, і один голодує, а другий впивається.

22 Хіба ж ви не маєте хат, щоб їсти та пити? Чи ви зневажаєте Божу Церкву, і осоромлюєте немаю́чих? Що маю сказати вам? Чи за це похвалю́ вас? Не похвалю́!

23 Бо прийняв я від Господа, що й вам передав, що Господь Ісус ночі тієї, як ви́даний був, узяв хліб,

24 подяку віддав, і переломив, і сказав: „Прийміть, споживайте, це тіло Моє, що за вас лома́ється. Це робіть на спомин про Мене!“

25 Так само і чашу взяв Він по Вечері й сказав: „Ця чаша — Нови́й Заповіт у Моїй крові. Це робіть, коли тільки бу́дете пити, на спомин про Мене!“

26 Бо кожного ра́зу, як будете їсти цей хліб та чашу цю пити, — смерть Господню звіщаєте, аж доки Він при́йде.

27 Тому то, хто їстиме хліб цей чи питиме чашу Господню негідно, — буде винний супроти тіла та крови Господньої!

28 Нехай же люди́на випробо́вує себе, і так нехай хліб їсть і з чаші хай п'є.

29 Бо хто їсть і п'є негі́дно, не розважаючи про тіло, той суд собі їсть і п'є!

30 Через це поміж вами багато недужих та хворих, і багато-хто засну́ли.

31 Бо коли б ми самі судили себе, то засу́джені ми не були́ б.

32 Та засу́джені від Господа, караємося, щоб нас не засу́джено з світом.

33 Ось тому́, мої браття, схо́дячись на поживу, чека́йте один о́дного.

34 А коли хто голодний, нехай вдома він їсть, щоб не схо́дилися ви на о́суд. А про інше, як прийду́, заряджу́.

Chapter 11

1 Be you followers3402 of me, even2531 as I also2504 am of Christ.5547

2 Now1161 I praise1867 you, brothers,80 that you remember3415 me in all3956 things, and keep2722 the ordinances,3862 as I delivered3860 them to you.

3 But I would2309 have you know,1492 that the head2776 of every3956 man435 is Christ;5547 and the head2776 of the woman1135 is the man;435 and the head2776 of Christ5547 is God.2316

4 Every3956 man435 praying4336 or2228 prophesying,4395 having2192 his head2776 covered,2596 dishonors2617 his head.2776

5 But every3956 woman1135 that prays4336 or2228 prophesies4395 with her head2776 uncovered177 dishonors2617 her head:2776 for that is even2532 all one1520 as if she were shaven.3587

6 For if1487 the woman1135 be not covered,2619 let her also2532 be shorn:2751 but if1487 it be a shame149 for a woman1135 to be shorn2751 or2228 shaven,3587 let her be covered.2619

7 For a man435 indeed3303 ought3784 not to cover2619 his head,2776 for as much as he is the image1504 and glory1391 of God:2316 but the woman1135 is the glory1391 of the man.435

8 For the man435 is not of the woman:1135 but the woman1135 of the man.435

9 Neither2542 3756 was the man435 created2936 for the woman;1135 but the woman1135 for the man.435

10 For this5124 cause1223 ought3784 the woman1135 to have2192 power1849 on1909 her head2776 because1223 of the angels.32

11 Nevertheless4133 neither3777 is the man435 without5565 the woman,1135 neither3777 the woman1135 without5565 the man,435 in the Lord.2962

12 For as the woman1135 is of the man,435 even so3779 is the man435 also2532 by the woman;1135 but all3956 things of God.2316

13 Judge2919 in yourselves:5213 846 is it comely4241 that a woman1135 pray4336 to God2316 uncovered?177

14 Does not even3761 nature5449 itself846 teach1321 you, that, if1437 a man435 have long2863 hair,2863 it is a shame819 to him?

15 But if1437 a woman1135 have long2863 hair,2863 it is a glory1391 to her: for her hair2864 is given1325 her for a covering.4018

16 But if1487 any5100 man seem1380 to be contentious,5380 we have2192 no3756 such5108 custom,4914 neither3761 the churches1577 of God.2316

17 Now1161 in this5124 that I declare3853 to you I praise1867 you not, that you come4905 together4905 not for the better,2909 but for the worse.2276

18 For first4412 of all, when you come4905 together4905 in the church,1577 I hear191 that there be divisions4978 among1722 you; and I partly3313 5100 believe4100 it.

19 For there must1163 be also2532 heresies139 among1722 you, that they which are approved1384 may be made1096 manifest5318 among1722 you.

20 When you come4905 together4905 therefore3767 into1909 one3588 846 place, this is not to eat5315 the Lord's2960 supper.1173

21 For in eating5315 every1538 one takes4301 before4301 other his own2398 supper:1173 and one3739 3303 is hungry,3983 and another3739 is drunken.3184

22 What?1063 have2192 you not houses3614 to eat2068 and to drink4095 in? or2228 despise2706 you the church1577 of God,2316 and shame2617 them that have2192 not? What5101 shall I say2036 to you? shall I praise1867 you in this?5129 I praise1867 you not.

23 For I have2192 received3880 of the Lord2962 that which3739 also2532 I delivered3860 to you, That the Lord2962 Jesus2424 the same846 night3571 in which3739 he was betrayed3860 took2983 bread:740

24 And when he had given thanks,2168 he broke2806 it, and said,2036 Take,2983 eat:5315 this5124 is my body,4983 which3588 is broken2806 for you: this5124 do4160 in remembrance364 of me.

25 After5615 the same5615 manner5615 also2532 he took the cup,4221 when3326 he had supped,1172 saying,3004 This5124 cup4221 is the new2537 testament1242 in my blood:129 this5124 do4160 you, as oft3740 as you drink4095 it, in remembrance364 of me.

26 For as often3740 as you eat2068 this5126 bread,740 and drink4095 this5124 cup,4221 you do show2605 the Lord's2962 death2288 till891 3757 he come.2064

27 Why5620 whoever3739 302 shall eat2068 this5126 bread,740 and drink4095 this5126 cup4221 of the Lord,2962 unworthily,371 shall be guilty1777 of the body4983 and blood129 of the Lord.2962

28 But let a man444 examine1381 himself,1438 and so3779 let him eat2068 of that bread,740 and drink4095 of that cup.4221

29 For he that eats2068 and drinks4095 unworthily,371 eats2068 and drinks4095 damnation2917 to himself,1438 not discerning1252 the Lord's2962 body.4983

30 For this5124 cause1223 many4183 are weak770 and sickly732 among1722 you, and many2425 sleep.2837

31 For if1487 we would judge1252 ourselves,1438 we should not be judged.2919

32 But when we are judged,2919 we are chastened3811 of the Lord,2962 that we should not be condemned2632 with the world.2889

33 Why,5620 my brothers,80 when you come4905 together4905 to eat,5315 tarry1551 one240 for another.240

3 Хо́чу ж я, щоб ви знали, що всякому чоловікові голова — Христос, а жінці голова — чоловік, голова ж Христові — Бог.

3 But I would2309 have you know,1492 that the head2776 of every3956 man435 is Christ;5547 and the head2776 of the woman1135 is the man;435 and the head2776 of Christ5547 is God.2316

4 Кожен чоловік, що молиться чи пророкує з головою покритою, — осоромлює він свою го́лову.

4 Every3956 man435 praying4336 or2228 prophesying,4395 having2192 his head2776 covered,2596 dishonors2617 his head.2776

5 І кожна жінка, що молиться чи пророкує з головою відкритою, осоромлює тим свою го́лову, бо це є те саме, як була́ б вона виголена.

5 But every3956 woman1135 that prays4336 or2228 prophesies4395 with her head2776 uncovered177 dishonors2617 her head:2776 for that is even2532 all one1520 as if she were shaven.3587

6 Бо коли жінка не покривається, хай стрижеться вона; коли ж жінці сором стри́гтися чи голитися, нехай покривається!

6 For if1487 the woman1135 be not covered,2619 let her also2532 be shorn:2751 but if1487 it be a shame149 for a woman1135 to be shorn2751 or2228 shaven,3587 let her be covered.2619

7 Отож, чоловік покривати голови не повинен, бо він образ і слава Бога, а жінка — чоловікові слава.

7 For a man435 indeed3303 ought3784 not to cover2619 his head,2776 for as much as he is the image1504 and glory1391 of God:2316 but the woman1135 is the glory1391 of the man.435

8 Бо чоловік не походить від жінки, але жінка від чоловіка,

8 For the man435 is not of the woman:1135 but the woman1135 of the man.435

9 не ство́рений бо чоловік ради жінки, але жінка ради чоловіка.

9 Neither2542 3756 was the man435 created2936 for the woman;1135 but the woman1135 for the man.435

10 Тому жінка повина мати на голові знака вла́ди над нею, ради анголів.

11 Одначе в Господі ані чоловік без жінки, ані жінка без чоловіка.

13 Поміркуйте самі між собою, чи присто́йне воно, щоб жінка молилася Богові непокрита?

13 Judge2919 in yourselves:5213 846 is it comely4241 that a woman1135 pray4336 to God2316 uncovered?177

14 Чи ж природа сама вас не вчить, що коли чоловік запускає воло́сся, то безчестя для нього?

17 Пропонуючи це вам, я не хвалю́, що збираєтесь ви не на ліпше, а на гірше.

23 Бо прийняв я від Господа, що й вам передав, що Господь Ісус ночі тієї, як ви́даний був, узяв хліб,

23 For I have2192 received3880 of the Lord2962 that which3739 also2532 I delivered3860 to you, That the Lord2962 Jesus2424 the same846 night3571 in which3739 he was betrayed3860 took2983 bread:740

24 подяку віддав, і переломив, і сказав: „Прийміть, споживайте, це тіло Моє, що за вас лома́ється. Це робіть на спомин про Мене!“

25 Так само і чашу взяв Він по Вечері й сказав: „Ця чаша — Нови́й Заповіт у Моїй крові. Це робіть, коли тільки бу́дете пити, на спомин про Мене!“
