1 И пришел5927 Наас5176 Аммонитянин5984 и осадил2583 Иавис3003 Галаадский.1568 И сказали559 все жители582 Иависа3003 Наасу:5176 заключи3772 с нами союз,1285 и мы будем5647 служить5647 тебе.

2 И сказал559 им Наас5176 Аммонитянин:5984 я заключу3772 с вами союз, но с тем, чтобы выколоть5365 у каждого из вас правый3225 глаз5869 и тем положить7760 бесчестие2781 на всего Израиля.3478

3 И сказали559 ему старейшины2205 Иависа:3003 дай нам сроку7503 семь7651 дней,3117 чтобы послать7971 нам послов4397 во все пределы1366 Израильские,3478 и если никто не поможет3467 нам, то мы выйдем3318 к тебе.

4 И пришли935 послы4397 в Гиву1390 Саулову7586 и пересказали1696 слова1697 сии вслух241 народа;5971 и весь народ5971 поднял5375 вопль6963 и заплакал.1058

5 И вот, пришел935 Саул7586 позади310 волов1241 с поля7704 и сказал:559 что сделалось с народом,5971 что он плачет?1058 И пересказали5608 ему слова1697 жителей582 Иависа.3003

6 И сошел6743 Дух7307 Божий430 на Саула,7586 когда он услышал8085 слова1697 сии, и сильно3966 воспламенился2734 гнев639 его;

7 и взял3947 он пару6776 волов,1241 и рассек5408 их на5408 части,5408 и послал7971 во все пределы1366 Израильские3478 чрез3027 тех послов,4397 объявляя,559 что так будет6213 поступлено6213 с волами1241 того, кто не пойдет3318 вслед310 Саула7586 и Самуила.8050 И напал5307 страх6343 Господень3068 на народ,5971 и выступили3318 все, как один259 человек.376

8 Саул осмотрел6485 их в Везеке,966 и нашлось сынов1121 Израилевых3478 триста79693967 тысяч505 и мужей376 Иудиных3063 тридцать7970 тысяч.505

9 И сказали559 пришедшим935 послам:4397 так скажите559 жителям376 Иависа3003 Галаадского:1568 завтра4279 будет к вам помощь,8668 когда обогреет2527 солнце.8121 И пришли935 послы4397 и объявили5046 жителям582 Иависа,3003 и они обрадовались.8055

10 И сказали559 жители582 Иависа3003 Наасу: завтра4279 выйдем3318 к вам, и поступайте6213 с нами, как вам угодно.28965869

11 В следующий4283 день4283 Саул7586 разделил7760 народ5971 на три7969 отряда,7218 и они проникли935 в средину8432 стана4264 во время утренней1242 стражи821 и поразили5221 Аммонитян5983 до дневного3117 зноя;2527 оставшиеся7604 рассеялись,6327 так что не осталось7604 из них двоих8147 вместе.3162

12 Тогда сказал559 народ5971 Самуилу:8050 кто говорил:559 «Саулу7586 ли царствовать4427 над нами»? дайте5414 этих людей,582 и мы умертвим4191 их.

13 Но Саул7586 сказал:559 в сей день3117 никого376 не должно умерщвлять,4191 ибо сегодня3117 Господь3068 совершил6213 спасение8668 в Израиле.3478

14 И сказал559 Самуил8050 народу:5971 пойдем3212 в Галгал,1537 и обновим2318 там царство.4410

15 И пошел3212 весь народ5971 в Галгал,1537 и поставили4427 там Саула7586 царем4427 пред3942 Господом3068 в Галгале,1537 и принесли2076 там мирные8002 жертвы2077 пред3942 Господом.3068 И весьма3966 веселились8055 там Саул7586 и все Израильтяне.5823478

Chapter 11

1 THEN Nahash the Ammonite came up and encamped against Jabesh-Gilead; and all the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, Make a treaty with us and we will serve you.

2 But Nahash the Ammonite said to them, On this condition will I make a treaty with you, when you thrust out all your right eyes, that I may make you a reproach upon all Israel.

3 And the eiders of Jabesh said to him, Give us seven days respite, that we may send messengers throughout all the territory of Israel; and when we see if we have a savior or not, then we will come out to you.

4 Then the messengers came to Ramtha of Saul, and told these words before the people; and all the people lifted up their voices and wept.

5 And, behold, Saul was coming behind the oxen from the field; and Saul said, What ails the people that they are weeping? And they told him the words of the men of Jabesh.

6 And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard these words, and his anger was kindled greatly.

7 And he took a yoke of oxen and cut them in pieces and sent them throughout all the territory of Israel by the hand of messengers, saying, Whosoever does not follow after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done to his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they all came out as one man.

8 And when he numbered them in Bezek, the children of Israel were three hundred thousand and the men of Judah thirty thousand.

9 And they said to the messengers who had come from Jabesh, Thus shall you say to the men of Jabesh and of Gilead, Tomorrow, by the time the sun is hot, you shall be delivered. And the messengers came and told the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.

10 Therefore the men of Jabesh said, Tomorrow we will come out to you, and you shall do to us whatever seems good to you.

11 And it came to pass, on the next day, Saul divided the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the camp in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day; and those who remained were scattered, so that no two of them were left together.

12 Then the people said to Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? Bring the men that we may put them to death.

13 And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day; for today the LORD has wrought salvation in Israel.

14 Then Samuel said to the people, Come, let us go to Gilgal and renew the kingdom there.

15 And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they made sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.

2 But Nahash the Ammonite said to them, On this condition will I make a treaty with you, when you thrust out all your right eyes, that I may make you a reproach upon all Israel.

3 И сказали559 ему старейшины2205 Иависа:3003 дай нам сроку7503 семь7651 дней,3117 чтобы послать7971 нам послов4397 во все пределы1366 Израильские,3478 и если никто не поможет3467 нам, то мы выйдем3318 к тебе.

3 And the eiders of Jabesh said to him, Give us seven days respite, that we may send messengers throughout all the territory of Israel; and when we see if we have a savior or not, then we will come out to you.

4 И пришли935 послы4397 в Гиву1390 Саулову7586 и пересказали1696 слова1697 сии вслух241 народа;5971 и весь народ5971 поднял5375 вопль6963 и заплакал.1058

4 Then the messengers came to Ramtha of Saul, and told these words before the people; and all the people lifted up their voices and wept.

5 И вот, пришел935 Саул7586 позади310 волов1241 с поля7704 и сказал:559 что сделалось с народом,5971 что он плачет?1058 И пересказали5608 ему слова1697 жителей582 Иависа.3003

5 And, behold, Saul was coming behind the oxen from the field; and Saul said, What ails the people that they are weeping? And they told him the words of the men of Jabesh.

6 И сошел6743 Дух7307 Божий430 на Саула,7586 когда он услышал8085 слова1697 сии, и сильно3966 воспламенился2734 гнев639 его;

6 And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard these words, and his anger was kindled greatly.

7 And he took a yoke of oxen and cut them in pieces and sent them throughout all the territory of Israel by the hand of messengers, saying, Whosoever does not follow after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done to his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they all came out as one man.

8 Саул осмотрел6485 их в Везеке,966 и нашлось сынов1121 Израилевых3478 триста79693967 тысяч505 и мужей376 Иудиных3063 тридцать7970 тысяч.505

9 And they said to the messengers who had come from Jabesh, Thus shall you say to the men of Jabesh and of Gilead, Tomorrow, by the time the sun is hot, you shall be delivered. And the messengers came and told the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.

10 Therefore the men of Jabesh said, Tomorrow we will come out to you, and you shall do to us whatever seems good to you.

12 Then the people said to Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? Bring the men that we may put them to death.

13 Но Саул7586 сказал:559 в сей день3117 никого376 не должно умерщвлять,4191 ибо сегодня3117 Господь3068 совершил6213 спасение8668 в Израиле.3478

13 And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day; for today the LORD has wrought salvation in Israel.

14 И сказал559 Самуил8050 народу:5971 пойдем3212 в Галгал,1537 и обновим2318 там царство.4410

14 Then Samuel said to the people, Come, let us go to Gilgal and renew the kingdom there.

15 И пошел3212 весь народ5971 в Галгал,1537 и поставили4427 там Саула7586 царем4427 пред3942 Господом3068 в Галгале,1537 и принесли2076 там мирные8002 жертвы2077 пред3942 Господом.3068 И весьма3966 веселились8055 там Саул7586 и все Израильтяне.5823478

15 And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they made sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
