1 И пришел935 царь4428 с Аманом2001 пировать8354 у Есфири635 царицы.4436

2 И сказал559 царь4428 Есфири635 также и в этот второй8145 день3117 во время пира:49603196 какое желание7596 твое, царица4436 Есфирь?635 оно будет5414 удовлетворено;5414 и какая просьба1246 твоя? хотя бы до полуцарства,26774438 она будет6213 исполнена.6213

3 И отвечала6030 царица4436 Есфирь635 и сказала:559 если я нашла4672 благоволение2580 в очах5869 твоих, царь,4428 и если царю4428 благоугодно,2895 то да будут5414 дарованы5414 мне жизнь5315 моя, по желанию7596 моему, и народ5971 мой, по просьбе1246 моей!

4 Ибо проданы4376 мы, я и народ5971 мой, на истребление,8045 убиение2026 и погибель.6 Если432 бы мы проданы4376 были4376 в рабы5650 и рабыни,8198 я молчала2790 бы, хотя враг6862 не вознаградил7737 бы ущерба5143 царя.4428

5 И отвечал559 царь4428 Артаксеркс325 и сказал559 царице4436 Есфири:635 кто это такой, и где тот, который отважился4390 в сердце3820 своем сделать6213 так?

6 И сказала559 Есфирь:635 враг3766862 и неприятель341 — этот злобный7451 Аман!2001 И Аман2001 затрепетал1204 пред царем4428 и царицею.4436

7 И царь4428 встал во6965 гневе2534 своем с пира49603196 и пошел в сад1594 при дворце;1055 Аман2001 же остался5975 умолять1245 о жизни5315 своей царицу4436 Есфирь,635 ибо видел,7200 что определена3615 ему злая7451 участь от царя.4428

8 Когда царь4428 возвратился7725 из сада1594 при дворце1055 в дом1004 пира,49603196 Аман2001 был5307 припавшим5307 к ложу,4296 на котором находилась Есфирь.635 И сказал559 царь:4428 даже и насиловать3533 царицу4436 хочет в доме1004 у меня! Слово1697 вышло3318 из уст6310 царя,4428 — и накрыли2645 лицо6440 Аману.2001

9 И сказал559 Харбона,2726 один259 из евнухов5631 при царе:4428 вот и дерево,6086 которое приготовил6213 Аман2001 для Мардохея,4782 говорившего1696 доброе2896 для царя,4428 стоит5975 у дома1004 Амана,2001 вышиною1364 в пятьдесят2572 локтей.520 И сказал559 царь:4428 повесьте8518 его на нем.

10 И повесили8518 Амана2001 на дереве,6086 которое он приготовил3559 для Мардохея.4782 И гнев2534 царя4428 утих.7918

Chapter 7

1 SO the king and Haman went in to the banquet which Esther the queen had prepared.

2 And the king said again to Esther on the second day of the banquet of wine, What is your petition and what is your request? It shall be granted you, even to the half of the kingdom.

3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request;

4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be slain, to be put to the sword, and to perish. But if we had been sold merely as bondmen and bondwomen, I would have held my tongue, but the enemy would not hesitate to cause damage to the king.

5 Then King Akhshirash answered and said to Esther the queen, Who is he and where is he who dares to presume in his heart to do so?

6 And Esther said, The oppressor and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman trembled before the king and the queen.

7 And the king arose from the banquet of wine in his wrath and went into the palace garden; and Haman remained to beg for his life from Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.

8 Then the king returned from the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was prostrate upon the couch where Esther was seated. Then the king said. Will he disgrace the queen also be fore me in the house? As the word went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.

9 And Rahbona, one of his eunuchs, said before the king, Behold the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made to hang Mordecai because he had spoken good concerning the king, stands in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him on it.

10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath appeased.
