Глава 14

1 Хирам, царь Тира, отправил к Давиду послов, кедровые бревна, каменщиков и плотников, чтобы построить ему дворец.

2 Давид понял, что Господь утвердил его царем над Израилем и что царство его высоко вознесено ради Своего народа Израиля.

3 В Иерусалиме Давид взял себе еще жен, и у него родились еще сыновья и дочери.

4 Вот имена детей, которые родились у него в Иерусалиме: Шаммуа, Шовав, Нафан, Соломон,

5 Ивхар, Элишуа, Элифелет,

6 Ногах, Нефег, Иафия,

7 Элишама, Веелиада и Элифелет.

8 Услышав о том, что Давид помазан в цари над всем Израилем, все филистимляне отправились искать его, но Давид узнал об этом и выступил против них.

9 Филистимляне пришли и принялись разбойничать в долине Рефаим.

10 Давид спросил Бога: — Идти ли мне на филистимлян? Отдашь ли Ты их мне? Господь ответил ему: — Иди, Я отдам их в твои руки.

11 Давид со своими воинами пошел к Баал-Перациму и разбил их там. Он сказал: — Бог разбил моих врагов моей рукой, как прорвавшаяся вода. Поэтому то место и было названо Баал-Перацим.

12 Филистимляне бросили там своих богов, и по приказу Давида их сожгли.

13 Филистимляне снова принялись разбойничать в долине.

14 Давид вновь спросил Бога, и Бог ответил ему: — Не нападай на них отсюда, но обойди их с тыла и напади на них со стороны бальзамовых деревьев.

15 Как только ты услышишь в вершинах бальзамовых деревьев шум, как от шагов, тотчас же вступай в бой, потому что Бог вышел перед тобой, чтобы разбить войско филистимлян.

16 Давид сделал так, как повелел ему Бог, и они разили филистимское войско всю дорогу от Гаваона до Гезера.

17 Слава Давида прошла по всем странам, и Господь навел страх перед ним на все народы.

Chapter 14

1 NOW Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build a house for him.

2 And David perceived that the LORD had chosen him to be king over Israel, for his kingdom was exalted because of his people Israel.

3 And David took more wives in Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron, and there were born to him more sons and daughters.

4 Now these are the names of the children who were born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shocob, Nathan, and Solomon.

5 Ibhar, Elisha, Eliphalet.

6 Nogah, Nepheg, and Naphia,

7 And Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphalet.

8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.

9 And the Philistines came and encamped in the valley of giants.

10 And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And wilt thou deliver them into my hands? And the LORD said to him, Go up; for I will deliver them into your hands.

11 So they came up to the valley of Toretha, and David smote them there. Then David said. The LORD has broken in upon my enemies before me like the breaking forth of waters; therefore they called the name of that place the valley of Toretha.

12 And when they had left their idols there, David gave a commandment to his mighty men, saying. Burn them with fire and scatter their ashes to the wind.

13 And the Philistines came up again and encamped in the valley of giants.

14 Therefore David inquired again of God; and God said to him, You shall not go up after them; but turn away from them, and go attack them from the front.

15 And it shall be, when you hear the sound of howling in the top of the mountain, then you shall go out to battle; for the LORD has gone forth before you to smite the army of the Philistines.

16 And David therefore did as the LORD commanded him; and they smote the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gadar.

17 And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all the nations.

8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.

9 Филистимляне пришли и принялись разбойничать в долине Рефаим.

9 And the Philistines came and encamped in the valley of giants.

10 Давид спросил Бога: — Идти ли мне на филистимлян? Отдашь ли Ты их мне? Господь ответил ему: — Иди, Я отдам их в твои руки.

10 And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And wilt thou deliver them into my hands? And the LORD said to him, Go up; for I will deliver them into your hands.

11 Давид со своими воинами пошел к Баал-Перациму и разбил их там. Он сказал: — Бог разбил моих врагов моей рукой, как прорвавшаяся вода. Поэтому то место и было названо Баал-Перацим.

11 So they came up to the valley of Toretha, and David smote them there. Then David said. The LORD has broken in upon my enemies before me like the breaking forth of waters; therefore they called the name of that place the valley of Toretha.
