Глава 30

1 Давид и его люди добрались до Циклага на третий день. Амаликитяне совершили набег на Негев и на Циклаг. Они напали на Циклаг, сожгли его

2 и взяли в плен женщин и всех, кто там был, от мала до велика. Они не убили никого из них, но увели их с собой.

3 Когда Давид и его люди пришли в Циклаг, они увидели, что он уничтожен огнем, а их жены, сыновья и дочери взяты в плен.

4 Давид и его люди громко плакали до тех пор, пока у них не осталось сил плакать.

5 В плен были взяты и обе жены Давида — Ахиноамь из Изрееля и Авигайль, вдова Навала из Кармила.

6 Давид был в большой тревоге, потому что народ сговаривался побить его камнями; каждый горевал по своим детям. Но Давид укрепился в Господе, своем Боге.

7 Давид сказал священнику Авиатару, сыну Ахимелеха: — Принеси мне эфод. Авиатар принес,

8 и Давид спросил Господа: — Гнаться ли мне за этим войском? Догоню ли я их? — Гонись за ними, — ответил Он. — Ты непременно догонишь и освободишь.

9 Давид и с ним шестьсот человек пришли к реке Бесору, где некоторые остановились,

10 потому что двести человек были слишком утомлены, чтобы перебраться через реку. Но Давид и четыреста человек продолжили погоню.

11 Они встретили в поле одного египтянина и привели его к Давиду. Они дали ему хлеба и напоили его водой;

12 еще они дали ему инжир и две связки изюма. Он поел, и к нему вернулись силы, потому что он не ел хлеба и не пил воды три дня и три ночи.

13 Давид спросил его: — Чей ты и откуда пришел? Он ответил: — Я египтянин, раб одного амаликитянина. Мой господин оставил меня, когда я заболел три дня назад.

14 Мы совершили набег на южных критян, на иудеев и на потомков Халева. Еще мы сожгли Циклаг.

15 Давид спросил его: — Ты можешь провести меня к этому войску? Он ответил: — Поклянись мне Богом, что не убьешь меня и не вернешь моему господину, и я проведу тебя к ним.

16 Когда он привел его, амаликитяне, рассеявшись по всей округе, ели, пили и праздновали, потому что в земле филистимлян и в земле Иудеи они взяли огромную добычу.

17 Давид сражался с ними с сумерек до вечера следующего дня, и никто из них не скрылся, кроме четырехсот юношей, которые сели на верблюдов и бежали.

18 Давид вернул все, что забрали амаликитяне, и освободил двух своих жен.

19 Ничего не пропало: ни малого, ни большого, ни сыновей, ни дочерей, ни добычи — ничего из того, что было отнято. Давид вернул все.

20 Он забрал все отары и стада, и его люди гнали их впереди остального скота, говоря: — Это добыча Давида.

21 Давид пришел к тем двум сотням человек, которые были слишком утомлены, чтобы идти за ним, и которых оставили у реки Бесора. Они вышли навстречу Давиду и людям, бывшим с ним. Когда Давид приблизился к этим людям, он приветствовал их.

22 Но все злые и недостойные люди, из тех, кто пошел за Давидом, говорили: — Они не выходили с нами, и мы не будем делиться с ними добычей, которую отвоевали. Каждый может взять только свою жену и детей и идти.

23 Давид ответил: — Нет, братья мои, не распоряжайтесь так тем, что дал нам Господь. Он защитил нас и отдал в наши руки войско, которое выступило против нас.

24 Кто станет слушать вас в этом деле? Доля человека, который остался с обозом, должна быть такой же, как доля того, кто ходил сражаться. Разделить нужно всем поровну.

25 С того дня и впредь Давид сделал это законом и правилом; оно действует и до сегодняшнего дня.

26 Когда Давид пришел в Циклаг, он послал часть добычи старейшинам Иудеи, которые были его друзьями, говоря: — Вот вам подарок из добычи, взятой у врагов Господа.

27 Он послал ее тем, кто были в Вефиле, Рамоте Негевском, Иаттире,

28 Ароере, Сифмоте, Эштемоа,

29 Рахале, в городах иерахмеилитов и кенеев,

30 в Хорме, Бор-Ашане, Атахе,

31 Хевроне и во всех местах, где скитались Давид и его люди.

Chapter 30

1 AND when David and his men were come to Zinklag on the third day, the Amalekites had raided the Negeb and Zinklag, and burned them with fire;

2 And had taken captive all the people who were in them, both the small and the great; and they put to death the men of war; and they took the spoil and went on their way.

3 And David and his men came to the city, and. behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives and their sons and their daughters were taken captives.

4 Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept until they had no more strength to weep.

5 And David's two wives were taken captive, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.

6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters; but David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

7 And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimeleck's son, Bring me here the ephod. And Abiathar brought the ephod to David.

8 And David inquired of the LORD, saying. Shall I pursue these raiders? Shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue; for you shall surely overtake them soon and deliver the captives.

9 So David went, he and the six hundred men who were with him, and they came to the brook of Besor, and David left two hundred men there.

10 And David continued the pursuit with four hundred men; then the two hundred men who were left behind rose up and kept guard, that the raiders might not cross the brook of Besor.

11 And they found an Egyptian in a field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they gave him water to drink;

12 And they gave him two cakes of figs, and when he had eaten, his spirit revived; for he had not eaten bread nor drunk water for three days and three nights.

13 And David said to him, To whom do you belong? And where do you come from? And the young man said, I am an Egyptian, a servant of an Amalekite; and my master left me because I have been sick for three days,

14 After we returned from raiding the Negeb of Judah and the Negeb of Caleb and from Zinklag, and we burned the towns with fire.

15 And David said to him, Will you bring me down to this band of robbers? And he said to him. Swear to me by the LORD that you will neither kill me nor deliver me into the hand of my master, and I will show you this band of robbers.

16 And David swore to him, and when he had brought him down, behold, they were scattered upon the ground, eating and drinking and rejoicing because of all the great spoil that they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from the land of Judah.

17 And David smote them from the morning until evening from the rear; and there escaped not a man of them, except four hundred men who rode upon camels and fled.

18 And David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken captive, and he rescued his two wives that day.

19 And they lost nothing, for David recovered all.

20 And David took all the flocks and the herds, and an abundance of other things in addition; and they said, This is David's spoil.

21 And David came to the two hundred men who were left behind to guard the baggage, whom he had placed there to guard the road to Besor; and they went out to meet David and to meet the people who were with him; and when David and the people drew near, they exchanged greetings.

22 Then answered some of David's men who were evil and wicked, and said, Because they did not go with us, we will not give them any portion of the spoil which we have recovered, save that every man may take his wife and his children.

23 But David said, You shall not do thus, my brethren, with that which the LORD has given us, he who has preserved us and delivered into our hands the raiders that came against us.

24 For who will hearken to you in this matter? For as his portion is who goes down to battle, so shall his portion be who tarries by the baggage: they shall divide alike.

25 And it was so from that day forward that David made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel even to this day.

26 And when David came to Zinklag, he sent some of the spoil to the elders of Judah and to their neighbors, saying, Here is a blessing for you from the spoil of the enemies of the LORD;

27 Moreover, he sent of the spoil to those who were in Beth-el and to those who were in Ramoth of the Negeb and to those who were in Ai

28 And to those who were in Adoer and those who were in Siphmoth and to those who were in Eshtemoa

29 And to those who were in Rachal and to those who were in the cities of the Jerahmeelites and to those who were in the cities of the Kenites

30 And to those who were in Hirmah and to those who were in Bar-beshan and to those who were in Tanach

31 And to those who were in Hebron and to all the places in which David and his men had traveled.

17 And David smote them from the morning until evening from the rear; and there escaped not a man of them, except four hundred men who rode upon camels and fled.

18 And David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken captive, and he rescued his two wives that day.

19 Ничего не пропало: ни малого, ни большого, ни сыновей, ни дочерей, ни добычи — ничего из того, что было отнято. Давид вернул все.

19 And they lost nothing, for David recovered all.

20 Он забрал все отары и стада, и его люди гнали их впереди остального скота, говоря: — Это добыча Давида.

20 And David took all the flocks and the herds, and an abundance of other things in addition; and they said, This is David's spoil.

21 And David came to the two hundred men who were left behind to guard the baggage, whom he had placed there to guard the road to Besor; and they went out to meet David and to meet the people who were with him; and when David and the people drew near, they exchanged greetings.

22 Но все злые и недостойные люди, из тех, кто пошел за Давидом, говорили: — Они не выходили с нами, и мы не будем делиться с ними добычей, которую отвоевали. Каждый может взять только свою жену и детей и идти.

22 Then answered some of David's men who were evil and wicked, and said, Because they did not go with us, we will not give them any portion of the spoil which we have recovered, save that every man may take his wife and his children.

23 Давид ответил: — Нет, братья мои, не распоряжайтесь так тем, что дал нам Господь. Он защитил нас и отдал в наши руки войско, которое выступило против нас.

23 But David said, You shall not do thus, my brethren, with that which the LORD has given us, he who has preserved us and delivered into our hands the raiders that came against us.

24 Кто станет слушать вас в этом деле? Доля человека, который остался с обозом, должна быть такой же, как доля того, кто ходил сражаться. Разделить нужно всем поровну.

24 For who will hearken to you in this matter? For as his portion is who goes down to battle, so shall his portion be who tarries by the baggage: they shall divide alike.

25 And it was so from that day forward that David made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel even to this day.
