Глава 13

1 Давид посоветовался со всеми своими полководцами, тысячниками и сотниками

2 и сказал всему собранию израильтян: — Если это угодно вам и если есть на то воля Господа, нашего Бога, то давайте пошлем повсюду известить остальных наших братьев во всех землях Израиля, а еще к священникам и левитам в города с окрестными пастбищами, чтобы они отправились в путь и присоединились к нам.

3 Перенесем к себе ковчег нашего Бога, ведь пока правил Саул, мы не вопрошали Его.

4 И все собрание решило сделать так, потому что это показалось правильным всему народу.

5 Тогда Давид собрал всех израильтян от реки Шихора в Египте до Лево-Хамата, чтобы перенести Божий ковчег из Кирьят-Иеарима.

6 Давид со всеми израильтянами отправился в Баалу (то есть Кирьят-Иеарим), что в Иудее, чтобы перенести оттуда ковчег Бога, называемый по имени Господа, Который восседает на херувимах.

7 Они вывезли Божий ковчег из дома Авинадава на новой повозке, которую вели Узза и Ахио.

8 Давид и все израильтяне изо всех сил веселились перед Богом, пели песни и играли на арфах, лирах, бубнах, тарелках и трубах.

9 Когда они дошли до гумна Хидона, Узза протянул руку, чтобы поддержать ковчег, потому что волы споткнулись.

10 Господь воспылал гневом на Уззу и поразил его, потому что тот протянул руку к ковчегу, и он умер там же перед Богом.

11 Давид рассердился из-за того, что гнев Господень прорвался на Уззу, и до сегодняшнего дня то место называется Парец-Узза.

12 В тот день Давид устрашился Бога; он сказал: — Как же я перенесу к себе Божий ковчег?

13 Он не повез ковчег к себе в Город Давида, но отвез его в дом гатянина Овид-Эдома.

14 Божий ковчег оставался в доме Овид-Эдома три месяца, и Господь благословил его домашних и все его хозяйство.

1 Chronicles

Chapter 13

1 AND David consulted with the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and with all the leaders and governors of Israel.

2 And David said to all the assemblies of Israel, If it seems good to you, let us beseech the LORD our God to repair the breaches of our brethren who reside in all towns of Israel, and settle with them priests and Levites in their cities and suburbs;

3 So that they may gather themselves and come to us, and pray before the LORD our God and beseech him because of our sins; for we did not pray before him in the days of Saul.

4 And all the assemblies said that they would do so.

5 So David gathered all Israel together, from the river of Egypt even to the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of the LORD from Koriath-narin.

6 And David went up, and all Israel, to Koriath-narin, which belongs to the tribe of Judah, to bring up from there the ark of the LORD God who dwells upon the high cherubim, which are known by his name.

7 And they placed the ark of the LORD in a new cart, and carried it out of the house of Abinadab; and Uzza and his brothers drove the cart.

8 And David and all Israel played before the LORD with all their might, and with singing and with harps and with psalteries and with cymbals and with timbrels.

9 And when they came to the threshing floor of Remin. Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen ran toward the threshing floor.

10 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him there because he put forth his hand to the ark; and he died there before the ark.

11 And David was displeased because the LORD had smote Uzza; wherefore that place is called Torethadi-Uzza to this day.

12 And David was afraid of the LORD that day, saying. How can I bring the ark of God home to me?

13 So David was unwilling to bring the ark home to the city of David. And David commanded it be carried to the house of Ober-edom the Gittite.

14 And the ark of the LORD remained in the house of Ober-edom the Gittite three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Ober-edom the Gittite and all that he had.

1 AND David consulted with the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and with all the leaders and governors of Israel.

2 и сказал всему собранию израильтян: — Если это угодно вам и если есть на то воля Господа, нашего Бога, то давайте пошлем повсюду известить остальных наших братьев во всех землях Израиля, а еще к священникам и левитам в города с окрестными пастбищами, чтобы они отправились в путь и присоединились к нам.

4 И все собрание решило сделать так, потому что это показалось правильным всему народу.

4 And all the assemblies said that they would do so.

5 Тогда Давид собрал всех израильтян от реки Шихора в Египте до Лево-Хамата, чтобы перенести Божий ковчег из Кирьят-Иеарима.

5 So David gathered all Israel together, from the river of Egypt even to the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of the LORD from Koriath-narin.

6 And David went up, and all Israel, to Koriath-narin, which belongs to the tribe of Judah, to bring up from there the ark of the LORD God who dwells upon the high cherubim, which are known by his name.

7 And they placed the ark of the LORD in a new cart, and carried it out of the house of Abinadab; and Uzza and his brothers drove the cart.

12 And David was afraid of the LORD that day, saying. How can I bring the ark of God home to me?

13 Он не повез ковчег к себе в Город Давида, но отвез его в дом гатянина Овид-Эдома.

13 So David was unwilling to bring the ark home to the city of David. And David commanded it be carried to the house of Ober-edom the Gittite.

14 Божий ковчег оставался в доме Овид-Эдома три месяца, и Господь благословил его домашних и все его хозяйство.

14 And the ark of the LORD remained in the house of Ober-edom the Gittite three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Ober-edom the Gittite and all that he had.
