2 Когда Саул возвратился из похода против Филистимлян, донесли ему, и сказали: вот Давид в пустыне Енгедской. |
|
3 Саул взял три тысячи человек отборных из всего Израиля, и пошел искать Давида и людей его по горам, где живут серны. |
|
4 И когда пришел к овчим дворам, у дороги, где была пещера, то Саул вошел в нее для нужды: Давид же и люди его сидели по сторонам пещеры. |
|
5 Тогда люди Давидовы сказали ему: вот день, о котором сказал тебе Господь: се, Я предаю врага твоего в руки твои, делай с ним, что тебе заблагорассудится. И встал Давид и отрезал тихонько край верхней одежды Сауловой. |
|
6 Но после того сердцу Давидову стало больно, зачем он отрезал край одежды Сауловой. |
|
7 И сказал людям своим: пред Господом, отнюдь я не сделаю то с господином моим, помазанником Господним, чтобы возложить на него руку мою. Ибо он помазанник Господень. |
|

9 После сего и Давид встал, и вышел из пещеры, и закричал вслед Саула, говоря: государь мой, царь! Саул оглянулся назад; Давид пал лицем на землю и поклонился. |
|
10 И сказал Давид Саулу: для чего ты слушаешь наговоры людей, которые говорят: вот, Давид ищет тебе зла? |
|
11 Вот, сегодня видят глаза твои, что Господь предал тебя сегодня в руки мои в пещере, и говорили мне, чтоб я убил тебя, но я пощадил тебя, и сказал: не возложу руку мою на государя моего, ибо он помазанник Господень. |
|
12 Посмотри, отец мой, посмотри, вот край верхней одежды твоей в руке моей. Если я, отрезав край одежды твоей, не убил тебя: то знай и заметь, что нет в руке моей зла и коварства, и я невинен пред тобою. А ты ловишь душу мою, чтоб отнять ее. |
|
13 Господь пусть судит меня с тобою, Господь пусть отомстит тебе за меня, но рука моя не будет на тебе; |
|
14 Так как говорит древняя притча: от беззаконных произойдет беззаконие; а моя рука не будет на тебе. |
|
15 За кем выступил царь Израилев? За кем ты гоняешься? За мертвым псом, за одною блохой! |
|
16 |
|
17 Когда Давид кончил говорить слова сии Саулу, тогда сказал Саул: твой ли это голос, сын мой, Давид! И поднял Саул вопль, и заплакал. |
|
18 И сказал Давиду: ты правее меня, ибо ты платишь мне добром, а я плачу тебе злом. |
|
19 И ты доказал сегодня, что ты делаешь мне добро, что Господь предал меня в руки твои, но ты не убил меня. |
|
20 Если кто найдет врага своего, отпустит ли его добрым путем? Господь да воздаст тебе за добро, которое ты сделал мне в нынешний день. |
|
21 Итак, вот, я знаю, что ты будешь царем, и что устоится в руке твоей царство Израилево. |
|
22 |
|
23 Давид поклялся Саулу, и Саул пошел в дом свой; а Давид и люди его пошли в убежище. |

1 AND it came to pass when Saul returned from pursuing the Philistines that it was told him, saying, Behold. David is in Mizroth, which is in Gibaoth. |
|
2 Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the mountains of the wild goats. |
|
3 And he came to the sheepfolds on the way where there was a cave; and Saul went into the cave and lay down there; and David and his men were staying on the slope of the cave. |
|
4 And the men of David said to him, Behold, this is the day of which the LORD said to you, Behold, I will deliver your enemy into your hands, that you may do to him as shall seem good in your sight. Then David arose and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe stealthily. |
|
5 But afterward David regretted that he had cut off the skirt of Saul's robe. |
|
6 And David said to the men who were with him, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the LORD'S anointed, to stretch forth my hand against him, because he is the anointed of the LORD. |
|
7 So David restrained the men who were with him with these words, and did not permit them to rise against Saul. And Saul rose up out of the cave and went on his way. |
|
8 David also arose afterward and went out of the cave and cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David bowed with his face to the earth and did him obeisance. |
|
9 And David said to Saul, You must not listen to the words of the men who say, Behold, David seeks your hurt. |
|
10 Behold, this day your eyes have seen how the LORD had delivered you today into my hand in the cave; and the men who were with me bade me kill you, but I had pity on you, and I said, I will not put forth my hand against my lord; for he is the LORD'S anointed. |
|
11 Moreover, turn back, and see that even the skirt of your robe is in my hand; because when I cut off the skirt of your robe I did not kill you; now you should know and see that there is neither evil nor fault in my hand, and I have not sinned against you; yet you hunt me to take my life. |
|
12 May the LORD judge between me and you, and the LORD avenge me of you; but my hand shall not be against you. |
|
13 As it is said in the proverb of the ancients, Out of the wicked proceeds wickedness: but my hand shall not be against you. |
|
14 After whom have you come out, O king of Israel? After whom do you pursue? After a dead dog, and after a flea? |
|
15 The LORD therefore shall be judge, and judge between me and you, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me from your hands. |
|
16 And when David had finished speaking these words to Saul, Saul said to him, Is this your voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice and wept. |
|
17 And he said to David, You are more righteous than I; for you have rewarded me with good, whereas I have rewarded you with evil. |
|
18 And you have showed this day how you have dealt well with me, in that the LORD had delivered me into your hands, and you did not kill me. |
|
19 For when a man finds his enemy, and lets him go free, the LORD will reward him with good; wherefore the LORD reward you with good for what you have done to me this day. |
|
20 And now, behold, I know well that you shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand. |
|
21 Swear now therefore to me by the LORD that you will not cut off my descendants after me and that you will not destroy my name out of my father's house. |
|
22 So David swore to Saul. And Saul went to his home; but David and the men who were with him went up to Mizpeh. |

4 И когда пришел к овчим дворам, у дороги, где была пещера, то Саул вошел в нее для нужды: Давид же и люди его сидели по сторонам пещеры. |
4 And the men of David said to him, Behold, this is the day of which the LORD said to you, Behold, I will deliver your enemy into your hands, that you may do to him as shall seem good in your sight. Then David arose and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe stealthily. |

5 Тогда люди Давидовы сказали ему: вот день, о котором сказал тебе Господь: се, Я предаю врага твоего в руки твои, делай с ним, что тебе заблагорассудится. И встал Давид и отрезал тихонько край верхней одежды Сауловой. |
5 But afterward David regretted that he had cut off the skirt of Saul's robe. |

6 Но после того сердцу Давидову стало больно, зачем он отрезал край одежды Сауловой. |
6 And David said to the men who were with him, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the LORD'S anointed, to stretch forth my hand against him, because he is the anointed of the LORD. |

7 И сказал людям своим: пред Господом, отнюдь я не сделаю то с господином моим, помазанником Господним, чтобы возложить на него руку мою. Ибо он помазанник Господень. |
7 So David restrained the men who were with him with these words, and did not permit them to rise against Saul. And Saul rose up out of the cave and went on his way. |

8 David also arose afterward and went out of the cave and cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David bowed with his face to the earth and did him obeisance. |

9 После сего и Давид встал, и вышел из пещеры, и закричал вслед Саула, говоря: государь мой, царь! Саул оглянулся назад; Давид пал лицем на землю и поклонился. |
9 And David said to Saul, You must not listen to the words of the men who say, Behold, David seeks your hurt. |
|
10 И сказал Давид Саулу: для чего ты слушаешь наговоры людей, которые говорят: вот, Давид ищет тебе зла? |

11 Вот, сегодня видят глаза твои, что Господь предал тебя сегодня в руки мои в пещере, и говорили мне, чтоб я убил тебя, но я пощадил тебя, и сказал: не возложу руку мою на государя моего, ибо он помазанник Господень. |
11 Moreover, turn back, and see that even the skirt of your robe is in my hand; because when I cut off the skirt of your robe I did not kill you; now you should know and see that there is neither evil nor fault in my hand, and I have not sinned against you; yet you hunt me to take my life. |

12 Посмотри, отец мой, посмотри, вот край верхней одежды твоей в руке моей. Если я, отрезав край одежды твоей, не убил тебя: то знай и заметь, что нет в руке моей зла и коварства, и я невинен пред тобою. А ты ловишь душу мою, чтоб отнять ее. |
12 May the LORD judge between me and you, and the LORD avenge me of you; but my hand shall not be against you. |

13 Господь пусть судит меня с тобою, Господь пусть отомстит тебе за меня, но рука моя не будет на тебе; |

15 The LORD therefore shall be judge, and judge between me and you, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me from your hands. |

16 And when David had finished speaking these words to Saul, Saul said to him, Is this your voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice and wept. |

17 Когда Давид кончил говорить слова сии Саулу, тогда сказал Саул: твой ли это голос, сын мой, Давид! И поднял Саул вопль, и заплакал. |
17 And he said to David, You are more righteous than I; for you have rewarded me with good, whereas I have rewarded you with evil. |
|
18 И сказал Давиду: ты правее меня, ибо ты платишь мне добром, а я плачу тебе злом. |
18 And you have showed this day how you have dealt well with me, in that the LORD had delivered me into your hands, and you did not kill me. |
|
19 И ты доказал сегодня, что ты делаешь мне добро, что Господь предал меня в руки твои, но ты не убил меня. |
19 For when a man finds his enemy, and lets him go free, the LORD will reward him with good; wherefore the LORD reward you with good for what you have done to me this day. |
|
20 Если кто найдет врага своего, отпустит ли его добрым путем? Господь да воздаст тебе за добро, которое ты сделал мне в нынешний день. |
20 And now, behold, I know well that you shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand. |
|
21 Итак, вот, я знаю, что ты будешь царем, и что устоится в руке твоей царство Израилево. |
21 Swear now therefore to me by the LORD that you will not cut off my descendants after me and that you will not destroy my name out of my father's house. |
|

22 So David swore to Saul. And Saul went to his home; but David and the men who were with him went up to Mizpeh. |
|
23 Давид поклялся Саулу, и Саул пошел в дом свой; а Давид и люди его пошли в убежище. |
