Пророк Иеремия

Глава 40

1 Слово Вечного, которое было к Иеремии после того, как Невузарадан, начальник царской охраны, освободил его в Раме. Тот нашёл Иеремию, закованного в цепи, среди всех пленников из Иерусалима и Иудеи, которых угоняли в плен в Вавилон.

2 Разыскав Иеремию, начальник охраны сказал ему: – Вечный, твой Бог, сулил такую беду этой стране.

3 А ныне она разразилась: как Вечный говорил, так Он и сделал. Это случилось потому, что вы грешили против Вечного и не слушались Его.

4 Но сегодня я освобождаю тебя от цепей, что на твоих руках. Если хочешь, пойдём со мной в Вавилон, и я позабочусь о тебе, а не хочешь, так и не ходи. Смотри, вся земля перед тобой: ступай, куда хочешь.

5 Не успел Иеремия отойти, как Невузарадан добавил: – Возвращайся к Гедалии, сыну Ахикама, внуку Шафана, которого царь Вавилона назначил начальником над городами Иудеи, и живи у него среди народа. Или ступай, куда хочешь. Затем начальник охраны дал ему припасов в дорогу и подарок и отпустил его.

6 И Иеремия пошёл к Гедалии, сыну Ахикама, в Мицпу, и поселился там у него среди народа, который был оставлен в стране.

7 Когда все военачальники и их люди, оставшиеся в этой стране, услышали, что царь Вавилона назначил Гедалию, сына Ахикама, наместником над страной, и что ему поручили заботы о мужчинах, женщинах и детях, которые были самыми бедными в стране и не были угнаны в плен в Вавилон,

8 они пришли к Гедалии в Мицпу. Это были Исмаил, сын Нетании, Иоханан и Ионафан, сыновья Кареаха, Серая, сын Танхумета, сыновья Ефая из Нетофы, Иазания, сын маахитянина, со своими людьми.

9 Гедалия, сын Ахикама, внук Шафана, поклялся им, чтобы успокоить их и их людей: – Не бойтесь служить вавилонянам, – сказал он. – Селитесь в земле, служите царю Вавилона, и вам будет хорошо.

10 Сам я буду жить в Мицпе, чтобы представлять вас перед вавилонянами, которые будут приходить к нам, а вы собирайте и запасайте вино, летние плоды и оливковое масло в кувшины и живите себе в городах, которые заняли.

11 Когда все иудеи в Моаве, Аммоне, Эдоме и во всех других странах услышали, что вавилонский царь оставил в Иудее часть народа и назначил Гедалию, сына Ахикама, внука Шафана, их наместником,

12 все они вернулись в землю Иудеи к Гедалии, в Мицпу, из всех стран, куда были изгнаны. Они собрали в изобилии вина и летних плодов.

13 Иоханан, сын Кареаха, и все военачальники, всё ещё пребывавшие в поле, явились к Гедалии в Мицпу

14 и сказали ему: – Неужели ты не знаешь, что Баалис, царь аммонитян, подослал Исмаила, сына Нетании, чтобы убить тебя?Но Гедалия, сын Ахикама, не поверил им.

15 Тогда Иоханан, сын Кареаха, тайно сказал Гедалии в Мицпе: – Давай я пойду и убью Исмаила, сына Нетании, так, что никто об этом не узнает. Зачем позволять ему лишать тебя жизни, чтобы все иудеи, которые собрались вокруг тебя, были рассеяны, чтобы оставшиеся в Иудее погибли?!

16 Но Гедалия, сын Ахикама, сказал Иоханану, сыну Кареаха: – Не делай этого! То, что ты говоришь об Исмаиле, – неправда.

Chapter 40

1 THE word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after Nebuzaradan the general of the guard sent him away from Ramtha, when he had taken him bound in chains among all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah who were carried away captive to Babylon.

2 And the general of the guard took Jeremiah, and said to him, The LORD your God has pronounced this evil upon this place.

3 Now the LORD has brought it and done according as he has said, because you have sinned against the LORD and did not obey his voice, therefore this thing has come upon you.

4 And now, behold, I release you this day from the chains which are upon your hands. If you wish to come with me to Babylon, come, and I will take good care of you; but if you do not wish to come with me to Babylon, remain here. Behold, all the land is before you; wherever it seems good and convenient for you to go, thither go.

5 Then he said to him again, If you remain, dwell among the people with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made governor over the cities of Judah; or go wherever it seems good to you to go. Then Nebuzaradan, the general of the guard gave him presents after the custom and let him go.

6 Then Jeremiah went to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to Mizpah, and dwelt with him among the people who were left in the land.

7 Now when all the captains of the forces who were in the villages and their men heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land and had committed to him men and women and children and some of the poor of the land who had not been carried away captive to Babylon,

8 Then they came to Gedaliah at Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite and Jezaniah the son of Maacath, they and their men.

9 And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan swore to them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans; dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

10 As for me, behold, I will dwell in Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who will come to us; but you gather wheat, wine, oil, and summer fruits, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in the cities that you have taken.

11 Likewise when all the Jews who were in Edom, Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in all other countries heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah and that he had appointed over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan;

12 Then all the Jews returned from all the places to which they had been driven and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, to Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much.

13 Moreover, Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces who were in the villages came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,

14 And said to him, Do you not know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay you? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam did not believe them.

15 Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke secretly to Gedaliah at Mizpah, saying, Let me go and slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it; lest he slay you, and all the Jews who are gathered to you should be scattered, and the remnant of the Jews should perish.

16 But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to Johanan the son of Kareah, You shall not do this thing; for you are speaking falsely of Ishmael.

Тот нашёл Иеремию, закованного в цепи, среди всех пленников из Иерусалима и Иудеи, которых угоняли в плен в Вавилон.	1 THE word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after Nebuzaradan the general of the guard sent him away from Ramtha, when he had taken him bound in chains among all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah who were carried away captive to Babylon.
2 Разыскав Иеремию, начальник охраны сказал ему: – Вечный, твой Бог, сулил такую беду этой стране.	2 And the general of the guard took Jeremiah, and said to him, The LORD your God has pronounced this evil upon this place.
3 А ныне она разразилась: как Вечный говорил, так Он и сделал. Это случилось потому, что вы грешили против Вечного и не слушались Его.	3 Now the LORD has brought it and done according as he has said, because you have sinned against the LORD and did not obey his voice, therefore this thing has come upon you.
4 Но сегодня я освобождаю тебя от цепей, что на твоих руках. Если хочешь, пойдём со мной в Вавилон, и я позабочусь о тебе, а не хочешь, так и не ходи. Смотри, вся земля перед тобой: ступай, куда хочешь.	4 And now, behold, I release you this day from the chains which are upon your hands. If you wish to come with me to Babylon, come, and I will take good care of you; but if you do not wish to come with me to Babylon, remain here. Behold, all the land is before you; wherever it seems good and convenient for you to go, thither go.
5 Не успел Иеремия отойти, как Невузарадан добавил: – Возвращайся к Гедалии, сыну Ахикама, внуку Шафана, которого царь Вавилона назначил начальником над городами Иудеи, и живи у него среди народа. Или ступай, куда хочешь. Затем начальник охраны дал ему припасов в дорогу и подарок и отпустил его.	5 Then he said to him again, If you remain, dwell among the people with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made governor over the cities of Judah; or go wherever it seems good to you to go. Then Nebuzaradan, the general of the guard gave him presents after the custom and let him go.
6 И Иеремия пошёл к Гедалии, сыну Ахикама, в Мицпу, и поселился там у него среди народа, который был оставлен в стране.	6 Then Jeremiah went to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to Mizpah, and dwelt with him among the people who were left in the land.
7 Когда все военачальники и их люди, оставшиеся в этой стране, услышали, что царь Вавилона назначил Гедалию, сына Ахикама, наместником над страной, и что ему поручили заботы о мужчинах, женщинах и детях, которые были самыми бедными в стране и не были угнаны в плен в Вавилон,	7 Now when all the captains of the forces who were in the villages and their men heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land and had committed to him men and women and children and some of the poor of the land who had not been carried away captive to Babylon,
8 они пришли к Гедалии в Мицпу. Это были Исмаил, сын Нетании, Иоханан и Ионафан, сыновья Кареаха, Серая, сын Танхумета, сыновья Ефая из Нетофы, Иазания, сын маахитянина, со своими людьми.	8 Then they came to Gedaliah at Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite and Jezaniah the son of Maacath, they and their men.
9 Гедалия, сын Ахикама, внук Шафана, поклялся им, чтобы успокоить их и их людей: – Не бойтесь служить вавилонянам, – сказал он. – Селитесь в земле, служите царю Вавилона, и вам будет хорошо.	9 And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan swore to them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans; dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.
10 Сам я буду жить в Мицпе, чтобы представлять вас перед вавилонянами, которые будут приходить к нам, а вы собирайте и запасайте вино, летние плоды и оливковое масло в кувшины и живите себе в городах, которые заняли.	10 As for me, behold, I will dwell in Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who will come to us; but you gather wheat, wine, oil, and summer fruits, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in the cities that you have taken.
11 Когда все иудеи в Моаве, Аммоне, Эдоме и во всех других странах услышали, что вавилонский царь оставил в Иудее часть народа и назначил Гедалию, сына Ахикама, внука Шафана, их наместником,	11 Likewise when all the Jews who were in Edom, Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in all other countries heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah and that he had appointed over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan;
12 все они вернулись в землю Иудеи к Гедалии, в Мицпу, из всех стран, куда были изгнаны. Они собрали в изобилии вина и летних плодов.	12 Then all the Jews returned from all the places to which they had been driven and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, to Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much.
13 Иоханан, сын Кареаха, и все военачальники, всё ещё пребывавшие в поле, явились к Гедалии в Мицпу	13 Moreover, Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces who were in the villages came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,
14 и сказали ему: – Неужели ты не знаешь, что Баалис, царь аммонитян, подослал Исмаила, сына Нетании, чтобы убить тебя?Но Гедалия, сын Ахикама, не поверил им.	14 And said to him, Do you not know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay you? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam did not believe them.
15 Тогда Иоханан, сын Кареаха, тайно сказал Гедалии в Мицпе: – Давай я пойду и убью Исмаила, сына Нетании, так, что никто об этом не узнает. Зачем позволять ему лишать тебя жизни, чтобы все иудеи, которые собрались вокруг тебя, были рассеяны, чтобы оставшиеся в Иудее погибли?!	15 Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke secretly to Gedaliah at Mizpah, saying, Let me go and slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it; lest he slay you, and all the Jews who are gathered to you should be scattered, and the remnant of the Jews should perish.
16 Но Гедалия, сын Ахикама, сказал Иоханану, сыну Кареаха: – Не делай этого! То, что ты говоришь об Исмаиле, – неправда.	16 But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to Johanan the son of Kareah, You shall not do this thing; for you are speaking falsely of Ishmael.
