Пророк Езекиил

Глава 18

1 Было ко мне слово Вечного:

2 – Что вы имеете в виду, повторяя о земле исраильской поговорку:
«Отцы ели кислый виноград, а у детей на зубах оскомина»?

3 Верно, как и то, что Я живу, – возвещает Владыка Вечный, – вы больше не будете произносить эту поговорку в земле исраильской.

4 Знайте, всякая жизнь принадлежит Мне: и отец, и сын – оба Мои. Кто согрешит, тот и умрёт.

5 Если кто-то праведен и поступает справедливо и праведно:

6 не ест в горных капищах,не поклоняется идолам исраильтян,не соблазняет жены другогои не спит с женщиной во время её месячных,

7 никого не притесняети возвращает должнику взятое у того в залог,не грабит,даёт свой хлеб голодными одевает нагих,

8 не даёт в рост денеги не взимает процентов,удерживает руку от преступленияи справедливо судит между спорящими,

9 следует Моим установлениями усердно исполняет Мои законы –тот праведен; он несомненно будет жить, – возвещает Владыка Вечный.

10 Если у него есть сын, который разбойничает, проливает чужую кровь и делает что-либо из нижеследующего

11 (хотя его отец и не делал ничего подобного):
ест в горных капищах,соблазняет жену другого,

12 притесняет нищих и бедняков,грабит,не возвращает должнику взятое у того в залог,поклоняется идолам,творит мерзости,

13 даёт деньги в рости взимает проценты, –будет ли он жить? Нет! За то, что он совершил эти мерзости, он несомненно умрёт и сам будет повинен в своей смерти.

14 Но если у такого человека есть сын, который видит грехи, совершённые отцом, и, видя, не поступает по его примеру:

15 не ест в горных капищах,не поклоняется идолам исраильтян,не соблазняет жены другого,

16 никого не притесняет,не требует залога,не грабит,даёт свой хлеб голодными одевает нагих,

17 удерживает руку от преступления,не даёт денег в рост и не взимает процентов,исполняет Мои законы и следует Моим установлениям, –то он не умрёт за грех отца; он несомненно будет жить.

18 А его отец умрёт за свой грех, потому что он вымогал, грабил брата и творил зло среди своего народа.

19 А вы спрашиваете: «Почему же сын не причастен к вине отца?» Раз сын поступал справедливо и праведно и прилежно исполнял Мои установления, он несомненно будет жить.

20 Кто согрешил, тот и умрёт. Сын не будет причастен к вине отца, и отец не будет причастен к вине сына. Праведность будет засчитана праведнику, и нечестие будет засчитано нечестивому.

21 Но если нечестивый оставит грехи, которые творит, станет исполнять Мои установления и делать то, что справедливо и праведно, он несомненно будет жить; он не умрёт.

22 Ни одно из преступлений, которые он совершил, не припомнится ему. Ради сделанных им праведных дел он будет жить.

23 Неужели Мне больше угодна смерть нечестивого, – возвещает Владыка Вечный, – а не то, чтобы он оставил свои поступки и жил?

24 Но если праведник оставит праведность, совершит преступление и начнёт совершать те же мерзости, что и нечестивый, то разве он будет жить? Ни одно из сделанных им праведных дел не вспомнится. За вероломство, в котором он повинен, и за совершённые им грехи он умрёт.

25 А вы говорите: «Путь Владыки несправедлив». Слушайте, исраильтяне: это Мой-то путь несправедлив? Не ваши ли пути несправедливы?

26 Если праведник оставит праведность и совершит преступление, то за это он умрёт; за сделанное им преступление он умрёт.

27 А если нечестивый оставит нечестие, которое творит, и примется делать то, что справедливо и праведно, он спасёт себе жизнь.

28 За то, что, признав все преступления, которые он творил, он больше не будет делать зло, он несомненно будет жить; он не умрёт.

29 А исраильтяне говорят: «Путь Владыки несправедлив». Мои ли пути несправедливы, народ Исраила? Не ваши ли?

30 Поэтому, исраильтяне, Я буду судить вас, каждого по его делам, – возвещает Владыка Вечный. – Покайтесь! Оставьте свои преступления, чтобы грех не погубил вас.

31 Отвергните преступления, которые вы совершили, и обретите новое сердце и новый дух. Зачем вам умирать, народ Исраила?

32 Ничья смерть Мне не угодна, – возвещает Владыка Вечный. – Покайтесь и живите!

Ezekiel

Chapter 18

1 THE word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 Son of man, why do you use this proverb in the land of Israel, saying, The parents have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?

3 As I live, says the LORD God, this proverb shall never be used again in Israel.

4 Because all souls are mine; the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine; the soul that sins, it shall die.

5 But if a man be righteous and do justice and righteousness,

6 And has not eaten the meat sacrificed to idols on the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols and the altars of the house of Israel, neither has defiled his neighbor's wife, nor has come near a menstruous woman,

7 And has not oppressed any man, and has not harmed any one, but has restored to the debtor his pledge; has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment;

8 He has not lent money with usury, neither has loaned with a discount; has withdrawn his hand from iniquity, and has executed true judgment between man and man;

9 Has walked in my commandments, and has kept my judgments, and has done justice; he who does so is a righteous man and shall surely live, says the LORD God.

10 If he begets a son who is a wicked man, a shedder of blood, and he does any one of these evil things,

11 And eats the meat sacrificed to idols on the mountains, and defiles his neighbor's wife,

12 Oppresses the poor and needy, extorts from his neighbor, restores not the pledge to its owner, lifts up his eyes to the idols, commits abomination,

13 Lends money with usury, and takes a discount; shall he then live? He shall not live: because he has done all these evil things; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

14 But if he begets a son, who sees all the sins that his father had committed, and shall not do likewise,

15 And who shall not eat meat sacrificed to the idols on the mountains, neither shall lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel; shall defile not his neighbor's wife,

16 Oppresses no man, takes no pledge from any one, extorts no one, but shall give his bread to the hungry and cover the naked with a garment;

17 Who does not refuse to help the poor, who charges no usury or discount, executes my judgments, and walks in my commandments; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.

18 As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed and extorted from his brother and did nothing that is good among his people, lo, he is dead in his own sins.

19 And if they should say, Why does not the son bear the sins of his father? say to them, Because the son has done that which is lawful and right and has kept all my commandments, he shall surely live.

20 The soul that sins, that soul shall die. The son shall not bear the sins of his father, neither shall the father bear the sins of his son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins which he has committed, and keep all my commandments, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

22 All his sins which he has committed, they shall not be remembered against him; but in the righteousness which he has done shall he live.

23 I have no pleasure in the death of a sinner, says the LORD God; but rather that he should return from his evil ways and live.

24 But if the righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity and abominations like those that the sinner has done, all the righteousness that he has done shall not be remembered to him, but in the iniquity which he has committed and in the sins that he has sinned, in them shall he die.

25 Yet you say, The ways of the LORD are not fair. Hear now, O house of Israel; my ways are fair, but it is your ways that are not fair.

26 If a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, in the iniquity that he has committed shall he die.

27 But if a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he has committed and does that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

28 And if he considers and turns away from all the sins that he has committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

29 Yet the house of Israel says, The ways of the LORD are not fair. O house of Israel, my ways are fair, but it is your ways that are not fair.

30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says the LORD God. Repent and turn away from all your transgressions, so that your sins may not be your ruin.

31 Cast away from you all the iniquities which you have committed; and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit, so that you may not die, O house of Israel.

32 For I have no pleasure in the death of any one who dies, says the LORD God; wherefore repent and live.

3 As I live, says the LORD God, this proverb shall never be used again in Israel.

4 Знайте, всякая жизнь принадлежит Мне: и отец, и сын – оба Мои. Кто согрешит, тот и умрёт.

4 Because all souls are mine; the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine; the soul that sins, it shall die.

5 Если кто-то праведен и поступает справедливо и праведно:

5 But if a man be righteous and do justice and righteousness,

6 не ест в горных капищах,не поклоняется идолам исраильтян,не соблазняет жены другогои не спит с женщиной во время её месячных,

6 And has not eaten the meat sacrificed to idols on the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols and the altars of the house of Israel, neither has defiled his neighbor's wife, nor has come near a menstruous woman,

7 никого не притесняети возвращает должнику взятое у того в залог,не грабит,даёт свой хлеб голодными одевает нагих,

7 And has not oppressed any man, and has not harmed any one, but has restored to the debtor his pledge; has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment;

8 не даёт в рост денеги не взимает процентов,удерживает руку от преступленияи справедливо судит между спорящими,

8 He has not lent money with usury, neither has loaned with a discount; has withdrawn his hand from iniquity, and has executed true judgment between man and man;

9 следует Моим установлениями усердно исполняет Мои законы –тот праведен; он несомненно будет жить, – возвещает Владыка Вечный.

9 Has walked in my commandments, and has kept my judgments, and has done justice; he who does so is a righteous man and shall surely live, says the LORD God.

10 Если у него есть сын, который разбойничает, проливает чужую кровь и делает что-либо из нижеследующего

10 If he begets a son who is a wicked man, a shedder of blood, and he does any one of these evil things,

11 (хотя его отец и не делал ничего подобного):
ест в горных капищах,соблазняет жену другого,

11 And eats the meat sacrificed to idols on the mountains, and defiles his neighbor's wife,

12 притесняет нищих и бедняков,грабит,не возвращает должнику взятое у того в залог,поклоняется идолам,творит мерзости,

12 Oppresses the poor and needy, extorts from his neighbor, restores not the pledge to its owner, lifts up his eyes to the idols, commits abomination,

13 даёт деньги в рости взимает проценты, –будет ли он жить? Нет! За то, что он совершил эти мерзости, он несомненно умрёт и сам будет повинен в своей смерти.

13 Lends money with usury, and takes a discount; shall he then live? He shall not live: because he has done all these evil things; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

14 Но если у такого человека есть сын, который видит грехи, совершённые отцом, и, видя, не поступает по его примеру:

14 But if he begets a son, who sees all the sins that his father had committed, and shall not do likewise,

15 не ест в горных капищах,не поклоняется идолам исраильтян,не соблазняет жены другого,

15 And who shall not eat meat sacrificed to the idols on the mountains, neither shall lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel; shall defile not his neighbor's wife,

16 никого не притесняет,не требует залога,не грабит,даёт свой хлеб голодными одевает нагих,

16 Oppresses no man, takes no pledge from any one, extorts no one, but shall give his bread to the hungry and cover the naked with a garment;

17 удерживает руку от преступления,не даёт денег в рост и не взимает процентов,исполняет Мои законы и следует Моим установлениям, –то он не умрёт за грех отца; он несомненно будет жить.

17 Who does not refuse to help the poor, who charges no usury or discount, executes my judgments, and walks in my commandments; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.

18 А его отец умрёт за свой грех, потому что он вымогал, грабил брата и творил зло среди своего народа.

18 As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed and extorted from his brother and did nothing that is good among his people, lo, he is dead in his own sins.

19 А вы спрашиваете: «Почему же сын не причастен к вине отца?» Раз сын поступал справедливо и праведно и прилежно исполнял Мои установления, он несомненно будет жить.

19 And if they should say, Why does not the son bear the sins of his father? say to them, Because the son has done that which is lawful and right and has kept all my commandments, he shall surely live.

20 Кто согрешил, тот и умрёт. Сын не будет причастен к вине отца, и отец не будет причастен к вине сына. Праведность будет засчитана праведнику, и нечестие будет засчитано нечестивому.

20 The soul that sins, that soul shall die. The son shall not bear the sins of his father, neither shall the father bear the sins of his son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

21 Но если нечестивый оставит грехи, которые творит, станет исполнять Мои установления и делать то, что справедливо и праведно, он несомненно будет жить; он не умрёт.

21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins which he has committed, and keep all my commandments, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

22 Ни одно из преступлений, которые он совершил, не припомнится ему. Ради сделанных им праведных дел он будет жить.

22 All his sins which he has committed, they shall not be remembered against him; but in the righteousness which he has done shall he live.

23 Неужели Мне больше угодна смерть нечестивого, – возвещает Владыка Вечный, – а не то, чтобы он оставил свои поступки и жил?

23 I have no pleasure in the death of a sinner, says the LORD God; but rather that he should return from his evil ways and live.

24 Но если праведник оставит праведность, совершит преступление и начнёт совершать те же мерзости, что и нечестивый, то разве он будет жить? Ни одно из сделанных им праведных дел не вспомнится. За вероломство, в котором он повинен, и за совершённые им грехи он умрёт.

24 But if the righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity and abominations like those that the sinner has done, all the righteousness that he has done shall not be remembered to him, but in the iniquity which he has committed and in the sins that he has sinned, in them shall he die.

25 А вы говорите: «Путь Владыки несправедлив». Слушайте, исраильтяне: это Мой-то путь несправедлив? Не ваши ли пути несправедливы?

25 Yet you say, The ways of the LORD are not fair. Hear now, O house of Israel; my ways are fair, but it is your ways that are not fair.

26 Если праведник оставит праведность и совершит преступление, то за это он умрёт; за сделанное им преступление он умрёт.

26 If a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, in the iniquity that he has committed shall he die.

27 А если нечестивый оставит нечестие, которое творит, и примется делать то, что справедливо и праведно, он спасёт себе жизнь.

27 But if a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he has committed and does that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

28 За то, что, признав все преступления, которые он творил, он больше не будет делать зло, он несомненно будет жить; он не умрёт.

28 And if he considers and turns away from all the sins that he has committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

29 А исраильтяне говорят: «Путь Владыки несправедлив». Мои ли пути несправедливы, народ Исраила? Не ваши ли?

29 Yet the house of Israel says, The ways of the LORD are not fair. O house of Israel, my ways are fair, but it is your ways that are not fair.

30 Поэтому, исраильтяне, Я буду судить вас, каждого по его делам, – возвещает Владыка Вечный. – Покайтесь! Оставьте свои преступления, чтобы грех не погубил вас.

30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says the LORD God. Repent and turn away from all your transgressions, so that your sins may not be your ruin.

31 Отвергните преступления, которые вы совершили, и обретите новое сердце и новый дух. Зачем вам умирать, народ Исраила?
