Глава 5

1 Когда царь Тира Хирам узнал, что Соломона помазали на царство вместо его отца, он послал к нему своих слуг, ведь Хирам всегда был другом Давида.

2 Соломон велел послам передать Хираму:

3 «Ты знаешь, что отец мой Давид не мог построить Храм для имени ГОСПОДА, Бога своего: он воевал с соседними народами, пока не поверг их ГОСПОДЬ к его ногам.

4 Но теперь ГОСПОДЬ, Бог мой, даровал мне покой: нет ни противников, ни бедствий.

5 И я намерен построить Храм для имени ГОСПОДА, Бога моего, как и предрек ГОСПОДЬ отцу моему Давиду, сказав: „Сын твой, которого Я возведу на престол твой вместо тебя, построит Храм для имени Моего“.

6 Так прикажи, чтобы нарубили для меня кедров на Ливане. Слуги мои будут трудиться вместе с твоими слугами, и плату твоим слугам буду давать я, сколько ты скажешь. Ты ведь знаешь, что нет среди нас таких умелых дровосеков, как сидоняне».

7 Услышав слова Соломона, Хирам с большой радостью сказал: «Благословен ныне ГОСПОДЬ, Который дал Давиду мудрого сына и ныне поставил его над этим многочисленным народом!»

8 Хирам передал через послов Соломону: «Выслушал я твою весть и сделаю всё, что тебе угодно, — дам и кедровых бревен, и кипарисовых стволов.

9 Мои слуги свезут их с Ливанских гор к морю и сплавят их по морю, связав в плоты, куда ты мне укажешь. Там я прикажу разобрать плоты, и ты заберешь бревна. Но и ты выполни мое желание: поставляй продовольствие к моему двору».

10 И Хирам стал поставлять Соломону кедровые бревна и кипарисовые стволы, сколько тот просил,

11 а Соломон поставлял Хираму продовольствие для его двора: двадцать тысяч мер пшеницы и двадцать мер оливкового масла поставлял Соломон Хираму ежегодно.

12 ГОСПОДЬ даровал Соломону мудрость, как и обещал ему. Между Хирамом и Соломоном был мир — они заключили союз.

13 Царь обложил трудовой повинностью весь Израиль, и на него работали тридцать тысяч человек.

14 Он отправлял их в Ливанские горы сменами по десять тысяч: один месяц смена была на Ливане, а два месяца дома. Адонирам наблюдал за подневольными работниками.

15 Еще у Соломона было семьдесят тысяч носильщиков и восемьдесят тысяч каменотесов в горах,

16 а сверх того три тысячи триста начальников, которые руководили работой народа.

17 По приказу царя вытесывали большие камни ценных пород, чтобы эти искусно обработанные камни положить в основание Храма.

18 Их обрабатывали строители Соломона и строители Хирама, а также мастера из Библа. Они же заготавливали лес и камни для строительства Храма.

Chapter 5

1 AND Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father; for Hiram was always a lover of David.

2 And Hiram sent to Solomon and blessed him. And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,

3 You know how David my father could not build a house to the name of the LORD his God because of the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put his enemies under the soles of his feet.

4 But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence.

5 And, behold, I purpose to build a house to the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spoke to David my father, saying, Your son, whom I will set upon your throne in your place, shall build a house to my name.

6 Now therefore command that they cut for me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with your servants; and I will give you wages for your servants according to all that you shall ask; for you know that there is no one among us who has the skill to cut timber like the Zidonians.

7 And when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, who has given to David a wise son over this great people.

8 And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have heard the things for which you have sent to me; and I will do all your desire concerning timber of cedar and timber of fir.

9 My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon to the sea, and I will convey them by sea in floats to the place that you shall appoint me, and I will cause them to be discharged there, and you shall receive them from there; and you shall also accomplish my desire in giving food for my household.

10 So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to his desire.

11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food for his household and twenty thousand measures of pure oil; thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.

12 And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him; and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon always, and they two made a league together.

13 And King Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.

14 And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by turns; a month they were in Lebanon and two months at home; and Adoniram was in charge of the levy.

15 And Solomon had seventy thousand men who bore burdens and eighty thousand hewers of stone in the mountain,

16 Besides the chiefs of Solomon's officers who were set over the work, three thousand and three hundred, who were in charge of the people doing the work.

17 And the king commanded and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones to complete the house.

18 And Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders and the stonemasons did hew them; so they prepared stones and timber for the building of the house.

2 Соломон велел послам передать Хираму:

2 And Hiram sent to Solomon and blessed him. And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,

3 «Ты знаешь, что отец мой Давид не мог построить Храм для имени ГОСПОДА, Бога своего: он воевал с соседними народами, пока не поверг их ГОСПОДЬ к его ногам.

3 You know how David my father could not build a house to the name of the LORD his God because of the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put his enemies under the soles of his feet.

4 Но теперь ГОСПОДЬ, Бог мой, даровал мне покой: нет ни противников, ни бедствий.

4 But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence.

5 И я намерен построить Храм для имени ГОСПОДА, Бога моего, как и предрек ГОСПОДЬ отцу моему Давиду, сказав: „Сын твой, которого Я возведу на престол твой вместо тебя, построит Храм для имени Моего“.

5 And, behold, I purpose to build a house to the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spoke to David my father, saying, Your son, whom I will set upon your throne in your place, shall build a house to my name.

6 Так прикажи, чтобы нарубили для меня кедров на Ливане. Слуги мои будут трудиться вместе с твоими слугами, и плату твоим слугам буду давать я, сколько ты скажешь. Ты ведь знаешь, что нет среди нас таких умелых дровосеков, как сидоняне».

6 Now therefore command that they cut for me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with your servants; and I will give you wages for your servants according to all that you shall ask; for you know that there is no one among us who has the skill to cut timber like the Zidonians.

7 Услышав слова Соломона, Хирам с большой радостью сказал: «Благословен ныне ГОСПОДЬ, Который дал Давиду мудрого сына и ныне поставил его над этим многочисленным народом!»

7 And when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, who has given to David a wise son over this great people.

8 Хирам передал через послов Соломону: «Выслушал я твою весть и сделаю всё, что тебе угодно, — дам и кедровых бревен, и кипарисовых стволов.

8 And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have heard the things for which you have sent to me; and I will do all your desire concerning timber of cedar and timber of fir.

9 Мои слуги свезут их с Ливанских гор к морю и сплавят их по морю, связав в плоты, куда ты мне укажешь. Там я прикажу разобрать плоты, и ты заберешь бревна. Но и ты выполни мое желание: поставляй продовольствие к моему двору».

9 My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon to the sea, and I will convey them by sea in floats to the place that you shall appoint me, and I will cause them to be discharged there, and you shall receive them from there; and you shall also accomplish my desire in giving food for my household.

10 И Хирам стал поставлять Соломону кедровые бревна и кипарисовые стволы, сколько тот просил,

10 So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to his desire.

11 а Соломон поставлял Хираму продовольствие для его двора: двадцать тысяч мер пшеницы и двадцать мер оливкового масла поставлял Соломон Хираму ежегодно.

11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food for his household and twenty thousand measures of pure oil; thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.

12 ГОСПОДЬ даровал Соломону мудрость, как и обещал ему. Между Хирамом и Соломоном был мир — они заключили союз.
