Глава 23

1 Давиду сообщили, что филистимляне напали на Кеилу и расхищают собранный урожай.

2 Давид вопросил ГОСПОДА: «Выступить ли мне в поход, сокрушу ли я этих филистимлян?» ГОСПОДЬ ответил Давиду: «Иди, ты одолеешь филистимлян и спасешь Кеилу».

3 Люди Давида возразили ему: «Даже здесь, в Иудее, нам страшно, а как мы выступим в Кеилу против филистимского войска?»

4 Давид снова вопросил ГОСПОДА, и ГОСПОДЬ ответил ему: «Иди прямо в Кеилу, потому что Я предаю филистимлян в твои руки».

5 Давид и его люди отправились в Кеилу, сразились с филистимлянами, угнали их скот и нанесли им великое поражение. Так Давид спас жителей Кеилы.

6 Когда Авьятар, сын Ахимелеха, бежал к Давиду в Кеилу, он захватил с собой эфод.

7 Саулу донесли, что Давид пришел в Кеилу, и Саул сказал: «Отдал его Бог в мои руки, ведь он вошел в город, где на воротах есть засовы, и Давид сам себя запер».

8 Саул созвал на битву весь народ, чтобы осадить Кеилу и поймать Давида с его людьми.

9 Давид, зная, что Саул злоумышляет против него, велел священнику Авьятару принести эфод.

10 И взмолился Давид: «ГОСПОДИ, Боже Израиля! Доподлинно слышал слуга Твой, что Саул собирается идти на Кеилу, чтобы разорить город из-за меня.

11 Выдадут ли ему меня правители Кеилы? Придет ли сюда Саул, как слышал слуга Твой? ГОСПОДИ, Боже Израилев, открой это слуге Твоему!» И ГОСПОДЬ ответил: «Придет».

12 Давид спросил: «Выдадут ли правители Кеилы меня и моих людей Саулу?» «Выдадут», — ответил ГОСПОДЬ.

13 Тогда Давид и его люди, около шестисот человек, собрались и покинули Кеилу. Они странствовали где придется. А Саулу донесли, что Давид бежал из Кеилы, и он отменил свой поход.

14 Давид жил в пустыне, в крепости на пустынном нагорье Зиф. Саул продолжал его разыскивать, но Бог не давал ему схватить Давида.

15 Когда Давид был в пустыне Зиф, в Хорше, он узнал, что Саул снова ищет его, чтобы убить.

16 Ионафан, сын Саула, тут же отправился к Давиду в Хоршу и ободрял его надеждой на Бога.

17 «Не бойся, — говорил он ему, — не схватит тебя отец мой Саул. Ты будешь царствовать над Израилем, а я буду вторым после тебя, и даже отец мой Саул знает это».

18 Они заключили друг с другом союз пред ГОСПОДОМ, и Давид остался в Хорше, а Ионафан вернулся домой.

19 Тем временем жители Зифа пришли к Саулу в Гиву и сказали: «Давид скрывается у нас в Хорше, в крепости на холме Хахила, что к югу от Ешимона!

20 Приходи, царь, когда пожелаешь, мы предадим его в твои руки».

21 Саул ответил: «Благослови вас ГОСПОДЬ за сочувствие мне!

22 Идите и точно разузнайте, проверьте всё и высмотрите место, где он бывает. Трудно его застать! Говорят мне, он очень хитер.

23 Высмотрите, разузнайте обо всех его убежищах, где он скрывается, и возвращайтесь ко мне с точными сведениями, и тогда я отправлюсь с вами. Пока он в этой стране, я буду искать его по всей Иудее!»

24 Тогда они отправились в Зиф и пришли туда раньше Саула, а Давид и его люди были уже в пустыне Маон, на равнине Арава к югу от Ешимона.

25 Саул со своими людьми отправился на его поиски. Давиду сообщили об этом, и он спустился к скале в пустыне Маон. Услышав об этом, царь Саул погнался за Давидом по пустыне.

26 Саул шел по одному склону горы, а Давид со своими людьми — по другому. Давид спешил оторваться от Саула, а Саул со своими людьми хотел перехватить его и взять в плен.

27 Но тут к Саулу пришел гонец и сказал: «Филистимляне вторглись в нашу страну! Поспеши вернуться!»

28 Тогда Саул прекратил преследовать Давида и отправился навстречу филистимлянам. Потому и назвали люди это место «Скала Избавления».

Chapter 23

1 THEN they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and are robbing the threshing floors.

2 And David inquired of the LORD, saying. Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the LORD said to him, Go and smite the Philistines and save Keilah.

3 And David's men said to him, We are afraid here in Judea, how much more then if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?

4 Then David inquired of the LORD again. And the LORD answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.

5 So David and his men went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines and brought away their cattle and smote them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.

6 And it came to pass, when Abiathar the son of Ahimeleck fled to David to Keilah, he came down with an ephod in his hand.

7 And it was told Saul that David was come to Keilah. And Saul said, God has delivered him into my hands; for he has shut himself up by entering a town that has gates and bars.

8 And Saul called all the people together to war to go down to Keilah to besiege David and his men.

9 land David knew that Saul was plotting mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring the ephod to me.

10 Then David said, O LORD God of Israel, thy servant has heard for certain that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city on my account.

11 Will the men of the city deliver me and the men who are with me into the hand of Saul?

12 And the LORD said, They will deliver you; arise and go out of the city.

13 Then David and his men, who were about six hundred, arose and departed from Keilah and went wherever they could go. And it was told Saul that David had fled from Keilah; and he forbore to go forth.

14 And David abode in the wilderness of Misroth, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God did not deliver him into his hand.

15 And David saw that Saul was come out to seek his life; and David was in the wilderness of Ziph in a forest.

16 And Jonathan, Saul's son, arose and went to David in the forest, and strengthened his hands in God.

17 And he said to him, Fear not; for the hand of Saul my father shall not find you; and you shall be king over Israel, and I shall be with you, and you shall live; and even Saul my father knows that it is so.

18 And they two made a covenant in the valley before the LORD (who sits upon the cherubim). And Jonathan went to his house.

19 Then the Ziphites came up to Saul at Gibeah, saying, Behold, David is hiding himself with us in Mizroth, in the forest in Gibaoth, in the valley which is on the right side of the desert.

20 Now therefore, come down against us according to all the desire of your soul, and we shall deliver him into the king's hand.

21 And Saul said to them, Blessed be you of the LORD; for you have compassion on me.

22 Return and search and find the place where his haunt is and learn who has seen him there; for I am told that he is very subtle.

23 Know therefore and learn of all the lurking places where he hides himself, and return to me, to en_lbp_inform me with certainty, and I will go with you; and if he is in the land, I will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah.

24 So they arose and went to Ziph before Saul; but David and his men were in the wilderness of Maon, in the plain by the side of the desert.

25 And Saul and his men went to seek David. And they told David: therefore he came down to Selah and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued David in the wilderness of Maon.

26 And Saul went on one side of the mountain and David and his men on the other side of the mountain: and David made haste to flee from Saul; for Saul and his men surrounded David and his men to take them.

27 But there came a messenger to Saul, saying, Make haste and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land.

28 Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing David, and went against the Philistines; therefore they called that land the Division of Sinar.

1 THEN they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and are robbing the threshing floors.

2 Давид вопросил ГОСПОДА: «Выступить ли мне в поход, сокрушу ли я этих филистимлян?» ГОСПОДЬ ответил Давиду: «Иди, ты одолеешь филистимлян и спасешь Кеилу».

2 And David inquired of the LORD, saying. Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the LORD said to him, Go and smite the Philistines and save Keilah.

3 Люди Давида возразили ему: «Даже здесь, в Иудее, нам страшно, а как мы выступим в Кеилу против филистимского войска?»

3 And David's men said to him, We are afraid here in Judea, how much more then if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?

4 Давид снова вопросил ГОСПОДА, и ГОСПОДЬ ответил ему: «Иди прямо в Кеилу, потому что Я предаю филистимлян в твои руки».

4 Then David inquired of the LORD again. And the LORD answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.

5 Давид и его люди отправились в Кеилу, сразились с филистимлянами, угнали их скот и нанесли им великое поражение. Так Давид спас жителей Кеилы.

5 So David and his men went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines and brought away their cattle and smote them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.

6 Когда Авьятар, сын Ахимелеха, бежал к Давиду в Кеилу, он захватил с собой эфод.

6 And it came to pass, when Abiathar the son of Ahimeleck fled to David to Keilah, he came down with an ephod in his hand.

7 And it was told Saul that David was come to Keilah. And Saul said, God has delivered him into my hands; for he has shut himself up by entering a town that has gates and bars.

8 And Saul called all the people together to war to go down to Keilah to besiege David and his men.

9 Давид, зная, что Саул злоумышляет против него, велел священнику Авьятару принести эфод.

9 land David knew that Saul was plotting mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring the ephod to me.

10 И взмолился Давид: «ГОСПОДИ, Боже Израиля! Доподлинно слышал слуга Твой, что Саул собирается идти на Кеилу, чтобы разорить город из-за меня.

10 Then David said, O LORD God of Israel, thy servant has heard for certain that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city on my account.

11 Выдадут ли ему меня правители Кеилы? Придет ли сюда Саул, как слышал слуга Твой? ГОСПОДИ, Боже Израилев, открой это слуге Твоему!» И ГОСПОДЬ ответил: «Придет».

11 Will the men of the city deliver me and the men who are with me into the hand of Saul?

12 Давид спросил: «Выдадут ли правители Кеилы меня и моих людей Саулу?» «Выдадут», — ответил ГОСПОДЬ.

12 And the LORD said, They will deliver you; arise and go out of the city.

13 Тогда Давид и его люди, около шестисот человек, собрались и покинули Кеилу. Они странствовали где придется. А Саулу донесли, что Давид бежал из Кеилы, и он отменил свой поход.

13 Then David and his men, who were about six hundred, arose and departed from Keilah and went wherever they could go. And it was told Saul that David had fled from Keilah; and he forbore to go forth.

14 Давид жил в пустыне, в крепости на пустынном нагорье Зиф. Саул продолжал его разыскивать, но Бог не давал ему схватить Давида.

14 And David abode in the wilderness of Misroth, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God did not deliver him into his hand.

15 Когда Давид был в пустыне Зиф, в Хорше, он узнал, что Саул снова ищет его, чтобы убить.

15 And David saw that Saul was come out to seek his life; and David was in the wilderness of Ziph in a forest.

16 Ионафан, сын Саула, тут же отправился к Давиду в Хоршу и ободрял его надеждой на Бога.

16 And Jonathan, Saul's son, arose and went to David in the forest, and strengthened his hands in God.

17 «Не бойся, — говорил он ему, — не схватит тебя отец мой Саул. Ты будешь царствовать над Израилем, а я буду вторым после тебя, и даже отец мой Саул знает это».

17 And he said to him, Fear not; for the hand of Saul my father shall not find you; and you shall be king over Israel, and I shall be with you, and you shall live; and even Saul my father knows that it is so.

18 Они заключили друг с другом союз пред ГОСПОДОМ, и Давид остался в Хорше, а Ионафан вернулся домой.

18 And they two made a covenant in the valley before the LORD (who sits upon the cherubim). And Jonathan went to his house.

19 Тем временем жители Зифа пришли к Саулу в Гиву и сказали: «Давид скрывается у нас в Хорше, в крепости на холме Хахила, что к югу от Ешимона!

19 Then the Ziphites came up to Saul at Gibeah, saying, Behold, David is hiding himself with us in Mizroth, in the forest in Gibaoth, in the valley which is on the right side of the desert.

20 Приходи, царь, когда пожелаешь, мы предадим его в твои руки».

20 Now therefore, come down against us according to all the desire of your soul, and we shall deliver him into the king's hand.

21 Саул ответил: «Благослови вас ГОСПОДЬ за сочувствие мне!

21 And Saul said to them, Blessed be you of the LORD; for you have compassion on me.

22 Идите и точно разузнайте, проверьте всё и высмотрите место, где он бывает. Трудно его застать! Говорят мне, он очень хитер.

22 Return and search and find the place where his haunt is and learn who has seen him there; for I am told that he is very subtle.

23 Высмотрите, разузнайте обо всех его убежищах, где он скрывается, и возвращайтесь ко мне с точными сведениями, и тогда я отправлюсь с вами. Пока он в этой стране, я буду искать его по всей Иудее!»

23 Know therefore and learn of all the lurking places where he hides himself, and return to me, to en_lbp_inform me with certainty, and I will go with you; and if he is in the land, I will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah.

24 Тогда они отправились в Зиф и пришли туда раньше Саула, а Давид и его люди были уже в пустыне Маон, на равнине Арава к югу от Ешимона.

24 So they arose and went to Ziph before Saul; but David and his men were in the wilderness of Maon, in the plain by the side of the desert.

25 Саул со своими людьми отправился на его поиски. Давиду сообщили об этом, и он спустился к скале в пустыне Маон. Услышав об этом, царь Саул погнался за Давидом по пустыне.

25 And Saul and his men went to seek David. And they told David: therefore he came down to Selah and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued David in the wilderness of Maon.

26 And Saul went on one side of the mountain and David and his men on the other side of the mountain: and David made haste to flee from Saul; for Saul and his men surrounded David and his men to take them.

27 Но тут к Саулу пришел гонец и сказал: «Филистимляне вторглись в нашу страну! Поспеши вернуться!»

27 But there came a messenger to Saul, saying, Make haste and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land.

28 Тогда Саул прекратил преследовать Давида и отправился навстречу филистимлянам. Потому и назвали люди это место «Скала Избавления».

28 Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing David, and went against the Philistines; therefore they called that land the Division of Sinar.
