Глава 23

1 Затем, обратившись к народу и к ученикам Своим, Иисус сказал:

2 «Фарисеи и книжники заняли место Моисея, чтобы быть им учителями,

3 поэтому слушайтесь их и делайте всё, что они говорят вам, но делам их не подражайте, потому что сами они не исполняют того, чему учат.

4 Связывают они тяжелые [и неподъемные] ноши и взваливают их на плечи людей, сами же до нош этих и пальцем дотронуться не хотят.

5 Что бы ни делали они, всё напоказ делают: широкими делают на себе повязки со словами Закона и кисти удлиняют на краях одежд своих.

6 Почетные занимают они места на пирах и первые сидения в синагогах,

7 любят, чтобы их почтительно приветствовали на площадях и говорили им: „Равви!“

8 А вас пусть не зовут „равви“, ибо один Учитель у вас, а вы все — братья.

9 И „отцом“ своим никого на земле не зовите, ибо один лишь Отец у вас — Небесный Отец.

10 И пусть „наставниками“ не называют вас, потому что Наставник у вас один — Христос.

11 Кто самый главный у вас, должен для вас быть слугой.

12 Ибо всякий, кто возносится, будет умален, а кто умаляет себя — вознесен.

13 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Вы закрываете перед людьми двери в Царство Небесное: сами не входите и тех, кто хочет войти, не впускаете.

14 []

15 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Вы путешествуете по морю и по суше, чтобы обратить хоть одного в веру, и когда удается вам это, то делаете его вдвое достойнейшим геенны, чем сами вы.

16 Горе вам, слепые поводыри! Вы говорите: „Если кто поклянется Храмом, это его ни к чему не обязывает, а если кто поклянется золотом Храма, тот связан клятвой“.

17 Безумные и слепые! Что же важнее: золото или Храм, освящающий золото?

18 Вы говорите: „Если кто поклянется жертвенником, это его ни к чему не обязывает, а если кто поклянется тем даром, что на жертвеннике, тот связан клятвой“.

19 Слепые! Что же важнее: дар или жертвенник, который освящает его?

20 Ведь тот, кто клянется жертвенником, клянется не только им одним, но и всем, что на нем.

21 И поклявшийся Храмом клянется не только Храмом, но и Живущим в нем.

22 И клянущийся Небом клянется престолом Божиим и Сидящим на нем.

23 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Вы отдаете десятину с мяты, укропа и тмина, а более важное в Законе: справедливость, милосердие и верность — оставили; вот что вам надо было делать, хотя и того не оставлять.

24 Слепые поводыри! Вы отцеживаете комара, а верблюда проглатываете.

25 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Вы содержите снаружи чашу и блюдо в чистоте, а то, что в них, свидетельствует о вашей хищности и необузданности.

26 Слепой фарисей! Очисти сначала чашу внутри, тогда чистой будет она и снаружи.

27 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Вы похожи на побеленные гробницы: снаружи они кажутся красивыми, а внутри полны костей мертвых и всякой нечистоты.

28 Так и с вами: внешне похожи на праведников, но внутри вы полны лицемерия и беззакония.

29 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Строите вы гробницы для пророков, украшаете надгробия праведников

30 и говорите: „Если бы жили мы во дни наших отцов, то не стали бы их сообщниками в пролитии крови пророков“.

31 Вы сами против себя свидетельствуете, заявляя, что вы сыновья тех, кто убивал пророков.

32 Вот и усугубляйте вину отцов своих!

33 Змеи! Отродье змеиное! И вы думаете избежать суда и участи быть ввергнутыми в геенну?

34 Вот посылаю Я к вам пророков, мудрых людей и истинных книжников. Одних вы убьете и распнете, других бичевать будете в своих синагогах и гнать из города в город,

35 и, наконец, падет на вас вина за всю ту кровь праведников, что пролилась на земле, — от крови Авеля праведного до крови Захарии, сына Варахии, которого вы убили между Храмом и жертвенником.

36 Истинно говорю вам: падет всё это на ныне живущих.

37 Иерусалим, Иерусалим, убивающий пророков и камнями побивающий посланных к тебе! Сколько раз Я хотел собрать детей твоих, как птица собирает своих птенцов под крылья свои, но не захотели вы.

38 Знайте же! Пустым будет оставлен вам дом ваш.

39 Говорю вам: вы больше не увидите Меня, пока не придет день, когда воскликнете: „Благословен Грядущий во имя Господа!“»

Matthew

Chapter 23

1 THEN Jesus spoke with the people and with his disciples.

2 And he said to them, The scribes and the Pharisees sit on the chair of Moses.

3 Therefore whatever they tell you to obey, obey and do it, but do not do according to their works; for they say and do not.

4 And they bind heavy burdens, and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to touch them, even with their finger.

5 And all their works they do, just to be seen by men; for they widen the fringes of their garments, and they lengthen the ends of their robes,

6 And they like the chief places at feasts, and the front seats in the synagogues,

7 And the greetings in the streets, and to be called by men, Rabbi.

8 But you do not be called, Rabbi; for one is your Master, and all you are brethren.

9 And call no one on earth, father, for one is your Father in heaven.

10 Nor be called leaders, for one is your leader, the Christ.

11 But he who is greatest among you, let him be your minister.

12 For whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.

13 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you embezzle the property of widows, with the pretense that you make long prayers; because of this you shall receive a greater judgment.*

14 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you have shut off the kingdom of heaven against men; for you do not enter into it yourselves, and do not permit those who would enter.

15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you traverse sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him the son of hell twice more than yourselves.

16 Woe to you, blind guides, for you say, Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold which is in the temple, he is guilty!

17 O you fools and blind! for which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?

18 And whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the offering that is on it, he is guilty.

19 O you fools and blind! for which is greater, the offering, or the altar that sanctifies the offering?

20 Therefore he who swears by the altar, he swears by it and by everything that is on it.

21 And whoever swears by the temple, swears by it and by him who dwells in it.

22 And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God, and by him who sits on it.

23 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you take tithes on mint, dill, and cummin, and you have overlooked the more important matters of the law, such as justice, mercy, and trustworthiness. These were necessary for you to have done, and the same by no means to have left undone.

24 O blind guides, who strain at gnats and swallow camels!

25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of extortion and iniquity.

26 Blind Pharisees! clean first the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that their outside may also be clean.

27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like tombs painted white, which look beautiful from the outside, but inside are full of dead bones and all kinds of corruption.

28 Even so, from the outside you appear to men to be righteous, but from within you are full of iniquity and hypocrisy.

29 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you build the tombs of the prophets, and you decorate the graves of the righteous;

30 And you say, If we had been living in the days of our forefathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

31 Now you testify concerning yourselves, that you are the children of those who killed the prophets.

32 You also fill up the measure of your fathers.

33 O you serpents, and seed of scorpions! how can you flee from the judgment of hell?

34 Because of this, I am sending to you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify; and some you will scourge in your synagogues, and pursue them from city to city;

35 So that all the blood of the righteous shed on the ground may come on you, from the blood of Abel the righteous down to the blood of Zachariah, son of Barachiah, whom you killed between the temple and the altar.

36 Truly I say to you, All of these things shall come upon this generation.

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, murderess of the prophets, and stoner of those who are sent to her! how often I wanted to gather together your children, just as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and yet you would not!

38 Behold, your house will be left to you desolate.

39 For I say to you, from now you will not see me until you say, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

2 «Фарисеи и книжники заняли место Моисея, чтобы быть им учителями,	2 And he said to them, The scribes and the Pharisees sit on the chair of Moses.
3 поэтому слушайтесь их и делайте всё, что они говорят вам, но делам их не подражайте, потому что сами они не исполняют того, чему учат.	3 Therefore whatever they tell you to obey, obey and do it, but do not do according to their works; for they say and do not.

9 И „отцом“ своим никого на земле не зовите, ибо один лишь Отец у вас — Небесный Отец.	9 And call no one on earth, father, for one is your Father in heaven.
10 И пусть „наставниками“ не называют вас, потому что Наставник у вас один — Христос.	10 Nor be called leaders, for one is your leader, the Christ.
11 Кто самый главный у вас, должен для вас быть слугой.	11 But he who is greatest among you, let him be your minister.
12 Ибо всякий, кто возносится, будет умален, а кто умаляет себя — вознесен.	12 For whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.
13 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Вы закрываете перед людьми двери в Царство Небесное: сами не входите и тех, кто хочет войти, не впускаете.	13 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you embezzle the property of widows, with the pretense that you make long prayers; because of this you shall receive a greater judgment.*
14 []	14 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you have shut off the kingdom of heaven against men; for you do not enter into it yourselves, and do not permit those who would enter.
15 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Вы путешествуете по морю и по суше, чтобы обратить хоть одного в веру, и когда удается вам это, то делаете его вдвое достойнейшим геенны, чем сами вы.	15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you traverse sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him the son of hell twice more than yourselves.
16 Горе вам, слепые поводыри! Вы говорите: „Если кто поклянется Храмом, это его ни к чему не обязывает, а если кто поклянется золотом Храма, тот связан клятвой“.	16 Woe to you, blind guides, for you say, Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold which is in the temple, he is guilty!
17 Безумные и слепые! Что же важнее: золото или Храм, освящающий золото?	17 O you fools and blind! for which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?
18 Вы говорите: „Если кто поклянется жертвенником, это его ни к чему не обязывает, а если кто поклянется тем даром, что на жертвеннике, тот связан клятвой“.	18 And whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the offering that is on it, he is guilty.
19 Слепые! Что же важнее: дар или жертвенник, который освящает его?	19 O you fools and blind! for which is greater, the offering, or the altar that sanctifies the offering?
20 Ведь тот, кто клянется жертвенником, клянется не только им одним, но и всем, что на нем.	20 Therefore he who swears by the altar, he swears by it and by everything that is on it.
21 И поклявшийся Храмом клянется не только Храмом, но и Живущим в нем.	21 And whoever swears by the temple, swears by it and by him who dwells in it.
22 И клянущийся Небом клянется престолом Божиим и Сидящим на нем.	22 And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God, and by him who sits on it.
23 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Вы отдаете десятину с мяты, укропа и тмина, а более важное в Законе: справедливость, милосердие и верность — оставили; вот что вам надо было делать, хотя и того не оставлять.	23 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you take tithes on mint, dill, and cummin, and you have overlooked the more important matters of the law, such as justice, mercy, and trustworthiness. These were necessary for you to have done, and the same by no means to have left undone.
24 Слепые поводыри! Вы отцеживаете комара, а верблюда проглатываете.	24 O blind guides, who strain at gnats and swallow camels!
25 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Вы содержите снаружи чашу и блюдо в чистоте, а то, что в них, свидетельствует о вашей хищности и необузданности.	25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of extortion and iniquity.
26 Слепой фарисей! Очисти сначала чашу внутри, тогда чистой будет она и снаружи.	26 Blind Pharisees! clean first the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that their outside may also be clean.
27 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Вы похожи на побеленные гробницы: снаружи они кажутся красивыми, а внутри полны костей мертвых и всякой нечистоты.	27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like tombs painted white, which look beautiful from the outside, but inside are full of dead bones and all kinds of corruption.
28 Так и с вами: внешне похожи на праведников, но внутри вы полны лицемерия и беззакония.	28 Even so, from the outside you appear to men to be righteous, but from within you are full of iniquity and hypocrisy.
29 Горе вам, книжники и фарисеи! Лицемеры! Строите вы гробницы для пророков, украшаете надгробия праведников	29 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you build the tombs of the prophets, and you decorate the graves of the righteous;
30 и говорите: „Если бы жили мы во дни наших отцов, то не стали бы их сообщниками в пролитии крови пророков“.	30 And you say, If we had been living in the days of our forefathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

35 и, наконец, падет на вас вина за всю ту кровь праведников, что пролилась на земле, — от крови Авеля праведного до крови Захарии, сына Варахии, которого вы убили между Храмом и жертвенником.	35 So that all the blood of the righteous shed on the ground may come on you, from the blood of Abel the righteous down to the blood of Zachariah, son of Barachiah, whom you killed between the temple and the altar.
