Глава 27

1 Сказал Давид себе самому: «Когда-нибудь я погибну от рук Саула! Лучше мне скорее бежать от него в землю филистимлян — тогда Саул перестанет искать меня в Израиле, и я избегу рук его».

2 Давид и шестьсот человек, что были с ним, недолго думая, перешли к Ахишу, сыну Маона, царю Гата.

3 Давид поселился у Ахиша в Гате, а с ним и его люди, каждый со своей семьей. При Давиде было две его жены: Ахиноам из Изреэля и Авигаиль, бывшая жена Навала из Кармила.

4 Саулу сообщили, что Давид бежал в Гат, и Саул больше его не искал.

5 Давид сказал Ахишу: «Если ты благоволишь ко мне, то пусть мне дадут место в одном из малых поселений, чтобы я там жил, — к чему слуге твоему оставаться в царских палатах возле тебя?»

6 Тогда Ахиш отдал ему Циклаг — потому Циклаг и по сей день принадлежит царям иудейским.

7 Всего Давид прожил в филистимском краю год и четыре месяца.

8 Оттуда Давид со своими людьми совершал набеги на гешуритов, гирзитов и амалекитян, потому что они издревле жили в землях по пути к Шуру, до самого Египта.

9 Давид нападал на какую-нибудь местность, не оставлял в живых ни мужчины, ни женщины, угонял стада и отары, ослов и верблюдов, забирал одежду и возвращался к Ахишу.

10 Ахиш спрашивал его: «На кого ты совершил набег на этот раз?» И Давид отвечал: «На южную часть Иудеи», или: «На южную часть Ерахмеэля», или: «На южную часть страны кенеев».

11 Ни мужчин, ни женщин Давид не приводил живыми в Гат, чтобы те не могли донести на него, сообщить, что сделал Давид. Так он поступал всё то время, пока жил у филистимлян.

12 Ахиш доверял Давиду и говорил: «Ненавистен стал он своему народу, Израилю, потому он вечно будет мне слугой».

2 And David1732 arose,6965 and he passed5674 over5674 with the six8337 hundred3967 men376 that were with him to Achish,397 the son1121 of Maoch,4582 king4428 of Gath.1661

3 And David1732 dwelled3427 with Achish397 at Gath,1661 he and his men,582 every man376 with his household,1004 even David1732 with his two8147 wives,802 Ahinoam293 the Jezreelitess,3159 and Abigail26 the Carmelitess,3762 Nabal's5037 wife.802

4 And it was told5046 Saul7586 that David1732 was fled1272 to Gath:1661 and he sought1245 no3808 more3254 again3254 for him.

5 And David1732 said559 to Achish,397 If518 I have now4994 found4672 grace2580 in your eyes,5869 let them give5414 me a place4725 in some259 town5892 in the country,7704 that I may dwell3427 there:8033 for why4100 should your servant5650 dwell3427 in the royal4467 city5892 with you?

6 Then Achish397 gave5414 him Ziklag6860 that day:3117 why3651 Ziklag6860 pertains1961 to the kings4428 of Judah3063 to this2088 day.3117

7 And the time4557 3117 that David1732 dwelled3427 in the country7704 of the Philistines6430 was a full3117 year and four702 months.2320

8 And David1732 and his men582 went5927 up, and invaded6584 the Geshurites,1651 and the Gezrites,1511 and the Amalekites:6003 for those2007 nations were of old5769 the inhabitants3427 of the land,776 as you go935 to Shur,7793 even to the land776 of Egypt.4714

9 And David1732 smote5221 the land,776 and left neither3808 man376 nor woman802 alive,2421 and took3947 away the sheep,6629 and the oxen,1241 and the asses,2543 and the camels,1581 and the apparel,899 and returned,7725 and came935 to Achish.397

10 And Achish397 said,559 Where413 have you made a road6584 to day?3117 And David1732 said,559 Against5921 the south5045 of Judah,3063 and against5921 the south5045 of the Jerahmeelites,3397 and against413 the south5045 of the Kenites.7017

11 And David1732 saved2421 neither3808 man376 nor woman802 alive,2421 to bring935 tidings to Gath,1661 saying,559 Lest6435 they should tell5046 on5921 us, saying,559 So3541 did6213 David,1732 and so3541 will be his manner3541 all3605 the while3117 he dwells3427 in the country7704 of the Philistines.6430

12 And Achish397 believed539 David,1732 saying,559 He has made his people5971 Israel3478 utterly to abhor887 him; therefore he shall be my servant5650 for ever.5769
