Глава 10

1 Самуил взял кувшин с елеем и возлил елей на голову Саула, поцеловал его и сказал: «ГОСПОДЬ помазал тебя править Его наследием!

2 Сейчас ты уйдешь от меня и около могилы Рахили в Цельцахе, на границе надела Вениамина, встретишь двух людей; они скажут тебе, что ослицы, которых ты ходил искать, нашлись и твой отец беспокоится уже не об ослицах, а о тебе самом: что случилось с его сыном?

3 Оттуда ты отправишься дальше к Фаворскому дубу, и там тебе встретятся трое, идущие поклониться Богу в Бет-Эль; один из них взял с собой трех козлят, другой — три круглые лепешки, а третий — мех с вином.

4 Они поприветствуют тебя и дадут тебе две лепешки, и ты возьмешь.

5 После этого ты подойдешь к Божьему городу Гиве, где филистимская стража, и, как только войдешь в город, навстречу тебе из святилища, что на холме, сойдет сонм пророков, а перед ними — музыканты с арфами, бубнами, свирелями и лирами, и будут они пророчествовать.

6 Тогда и на тебя сойдет Дух ГОСПОДЕНЬ, ты будешь пророчествовать с ними и станешь другим человеком.

7 Когда произойдет с тобой всё предсказанное, тогда делай, что сам решишь, а Бог будет с тобой.

8 Но сначала прежде меня ступай в Гилгал, а я приду туда позже принести жертвы всесожжения и благодарственные жертвы. Жди меня там семь дней, и тогда я расскажу тебе, как быть дальше».

9 Как только Саул покинул Самуила, Бог даровал ему новое сердце, и в тот же день сбылось всё, что было предсказано.

10 Когда они со слугой подошли к Гиве, навстречу им вышел сонм пророков, и Дух Божий сошел на Саула, так что он стал пророчествовать вместе с ними.

12 Один человек из тех мест отозвался: «А у этих кто отцы?» Так и вошло в поговорку: «Неужто и Саул среди пророков?»

13 Перестав пророчествовать, он пошел в святилище, что находилось на холме.

14 Дядя Саула спросил их обоих — Саула и слугу: «Куда вы ходили?» «На поиски ослиц, — ответил Саул, — но нигде их найти не могли и тогда зашли к Самуилу».

15 Дядя Саула попросил: «Расскажи мне, что сказал тебе Самуил!»

16 Саул ответил: «Он сразу сообщил нам, что ослицы нашлись», но не стал открывать того, что говорил ему Самуил о царской власти.

17 Тем временем Самуил созвал народ к ГОСПОДУ в Мицпу.

18 Он объявил израильтянам, что говорит ГОСПОДЬ, Бог Израилев: «Я вывел вас из Египта, Я спас вас от руки египтян и всех прочих царств, угнетавших вас.

19 А теперь вы отвергли Бога, спасавшего вас во всех бедах и горестях, и потребовали, чтобы Самуил поставил над вами царя. Предстаньте перед ГОСПОДОМ колено за коленом и род за родом».

20 Самуил велел подходить по очереди каждому колену, и было указано на колено Вениамина.

21 Затем он велел подойти представителям всех родов из колена Вениамина, и указано было на род Матри, а потом на Саула, сына Киша. Его стали искать, но найти не могли.

22 Снова вопросили ГОСПОДА, здесь ли тот человек, и ГОСПОДЬ ответил: «Здесь, он прячется среди повозок».

23 За ним побежали и привели его оттуда; и, когда Саул встал перед народом, оказалось, что он на голову выше всех.

24 Самуил сказал: «Видите, кого избрал ГОСПОДЬ? Нет подобного ему во всем народе!» И весь народ закричал: «Да здравствует царь!»

25 Самуил рассказал народу, как будет править царь, записал это в книгу и положил ее перед ГОСПОДОМ. Потом Самуил распустил народ по домам.

26 Саул тоже пошел к себе домой, в Гиву, а с ним пошли воины, чьих сердец Бог коснулся.

27 Но были и негодные люди, что говорили: «Разве ему спасать нас?» Они отнеслись к нему с пренебрежением, не поднесли даров, но он промолчал.

2 When you are departed3212 from me to day,3117 then you shall find4672 two8147 men582 by Rachel's7354 sepulcher6900 in the border1366 of Benjamin1144 at Zelzah;6766 and they will say559 to you, The asses860 which834 you went1980 to seek1245 are found:4672 and, see,2009 your father1 has left5203 the care1697 of the asses,860 and sorrows1672 for you, saying,559 What4100 shall I do6213 for my son?1121

3 Then shall you go2498 on forward1973 from there,8033 and you shall come935 to the plain436 of Tabor,8396 and there shall meet4672 you three7969 men582 going5927 up to God430 to Bethel,1008 one259 carrying5375 three7969 kids,1423 and another259 carrying5375 three7969 loaves3603 of bread,3899 and another259 carrying5375 a bottle5035 of wine:3196

4 And they will salute7965 you, and give5414 you two8147 loaves of bread;3899 which you shall receive3947 of their hands.3027

5 After310 that you shall come935 to the hill1389 of God,430 where834 8033 is the garrison5333 of the Philistines:6430 and it shall come1961 to pass, when you are come935 thither8033 to the city,5892 that you shall meet6293 a company2256 of prophets5030 coming3381 down3381 from the high1116 place with a psaltery,5035 and a tabret,8596 and a pipe,2485 and a harp,3658 before6440 them; and they shall prophesy:5012

6 And the Spirit7307 of the LORD3068 will come6743 on you, and you shall prophesy5012 with them, and shall be turned2015 into another312 man.376

7 And let it be, when3588 these428 signs226 are come935 to you, that you do6213 as occasion4672 serve5647 you; for God430 is with you.

8 And you shall go3381 down3381 before6440 me to Gilgal;1537 and, behold,2009 I will come3381 down3381 to you, to offer5927 burnt5930 offerings, and to sacrifice2076 sacrifices2077 of peace8002 offerings: seven7651 days3117 shall you tarry,3176 till5704 I come935 to you, and show3045 you what853 834 you shall do.6213

9 And it was so, that when he had turned6437 his back7926 to go3212 from Samuel,8050 God430 gave him another312 heart:3820 and all3605 those428 signs226 came935 to pass that day.3117

10 And when they came935 thither8033 to the hill,1389 behold,2009 a company2256 of prophets5030 met7125 him; and the Spirit7307 of God430 came6743 on him, and he prophesied5012 among8432 them.

11 And it came1961 to pass, when all3605 that knew3045 him beforetime865 8032 saw7200 that, behold,2009 he prophesied5012 among5973 the prophets,5030 then the people5971 said559 one376 to another,7453 What4100 is this2088 that is come1961 to the son1121 of Kish?7027 Is Saul7586 also1571 among the prophets?5030

12 And one376 of the same place answered6030 and said,559 But who4310 is their father?1 Therefore5921 3651 it became1961 a proverb,4912 Is Saul7586 also1571 among the prophets?5030

13 And when he had made an end3615 of prophesying,5012 he came935 to the high1116 place.

14 And Saul's7586 uncle1730 said559 to him and to his servant,5288 Where575 went1980 you? And he said,559 To seek1245 the asses:860 and when we saw7200 that they were no369 where,370 we came935 to Samuel.8050

15 And Saul's7586 uncle1730 said,559 Tell5046 me, I pray4994 you, what4100 Samuel8050 said559 to you.

16 And Saul7586 said559 to his uncle,1730 He told5046 us plainly5046 that the asses860 were found.4672 But of the matter1697 of the kingdom,4410 whereof834 Samuel8050 spoke,559 he told5046 him not.

17 And Samuel8050 called6817 the people5971 together to the LORD3068 to Mizpeh;4709

18 And said559 to the children1121 of Israel,3478 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 I brought5927 up Israel3478 out of Egypt,4714 and delivered5337 you out of the hand3027 of the Egyptians,4714 and out of the hand3027 of all3605 kingdoms,4467 and of them that oppressed3905 you:

19 And you have this day3117 rejected3988 your God,430 who834 himself saved3467 you out of all3605 your adversities7451 and your tribulations;6869 and you have said559 to him, No, but set7760 a king4428 over5921 us. Now6258 therefore present3320 yourselves before6440 the LORD3068 by your tribes,7626 and by your thousands.505

20 And when Samuel8050 had caused all3605 the tribes7626 of Israel3478 to come7126 near,7126 the tribe7626 of Benjamin1144 was taken.3920

21 When he had caused the tribe7626 of Benjamin1144 to come7126 near7126 by their families,4940 the family4940 of Matri4309 was taken,3920 and Saul7586 the son1121 of Kish7027 was taken:3920 and when they sought1245 him, he could not be found.4672

22 Therefore they inquired7592 of the LORD3068 further,5750 if the man376 should yet5750 come935 thither.1988 And the LORD3068 answered,559 Behold 2009he has hid2244 himself1931 among413 the stuff.3627

23 And they ran7323 and fetched3947 him there:8033 and when he stood3320 among8432 the people,5971 he was higher1361 than any3605 of the people5971 from his shoulders7926 and upward.4605

24 And Samuel8050 said559 to all3605 the people,5971 See7200 you him whom834 the LORD3068 has chosen,977 that there is none369 like3644 him among all3605 the people?5971 And all3605 the people5971 shouted,7321 and said,559 God save2421 the king.4428

25 Then Samuel8050 told1696 the people5971 the manner4941 of the kingdom,4410 and wrote3789 it in a book,5612 and laid3240 it up before6440 the LORD.3068 And Samuel8050 sent7971 all3605 the people5971 away, every man376 to his house.1004

26 And Saul7586 also1571 went1980 home1004 to Gibeah;1390 and there went3212 with him a band2428 of men, whose834 hearts3820 God430 had touched.5060

27 But the children1121 of Belial1100 said,559 How4100 shall this2088 man save3467 us? And they despised959 him, and brought935 no3808 presents.4503 But he held2790 his peace.2790

12 Один человек из тех мест отозвался: «А у этих кто отцы?» Так и вошло в поговорку: «Неужто и Саул среди пророков?»

20 Самуил велел подходить по очереди каждому колену, и было указано на колено Вениамина.

20 And when Samuel8050 had caused all3605 the tribes7626 of Israel3478 to come7126 near,7126 the tribe7626 of Benjamin1144 was taken.3920

21 Затем он велел подойти представителям всех родов из колена Вениамина, и указано было на род Матри, а потом на Саула, сына Киша. Его стали искать, но найти не могли.

21 When he had caused the tribe7626 of Benjamin1144 to come7126 near7126 by their families,4940 the family4940 of Matri4309 was taken,3920 and Saul7586 the son1121 of Kish7027 was taken:3920 and when they sought1245 him, he could not be found.4672

22 Снова вопросили ГОСПОДА, здесь ли тот человек, и ГОСПОДЬ ответил: «Здесь, он прячется среди повозок».

22 Therefore they inquired7592 of the LORD3068 further,5750 if the man376 should yet5750 come935 thither.1988 And the LORD3068 answered,559 Behold 2009he has hid2244 himself1931 among413 the stuff.3627

23 За ним побежали и привели его оттуда; и, когда Саул встал перед народом, оказалось, что он на голову выше всех.
