1 And Samuel8050 said559 unto413 all3605 Israel,3478 Behold,2009 I have hearkened8085 unto your voice6963 in all3605 that834 ye said559 unto me, and have made a king4427 4428 over5921 you.

2 And now,6258 behold,2009 the king4428 walketh1980 before6440 you: and I589 am old2204 and grayheaded;7867 and, behold,2009 my sons1121 are with854 you: and I589 have walked1980 before6440 you from my childhood4480 5271 unto5704 this2088 day.3117

3 Behold,2009 here I am: witness6030 against me before5048 the LORD,3068 and before5048 his anointed:4899 whose4310 853 ox7794 have I taken?3947 or whose4310 ass2543 have I taken?3947 or whom4310 have I defrauded?6231 853 whom4310 have I oppressed?7533 or of whose hand4480 3027 4310 have I received3947 any bribe3724 to blind5956 mine eyes5869 therewith? and I will restore7725 it you.

4 And they said,559 Thou hast not3808 defrauded6231 us, nor3808 oppressed7533 us, neither3808 hast thou taken3947 aught3972 of any man's hand.4480 3027 376

5 And he said559 unto413 them, The LORD3068 is witness5707 against you, and his anointed4899 is witness5707 this2088 day,3117 that3588 ye have not3808 found4672 aught3972 in my hand.3027 And they answered,559 He is witness.5707

6 And Samuel8050 said559 unto413 the people,5971 It is the LORD3068 that834 advanced6213 853 Moses4872 and Aaron,175 and that834 brought5927 853 your fathers1 up out of the land4480 776 of Egypt.4714

7 Now6258 therefore stand still,3320 that I may reason8199 with854 you before6440 the LORD3068 of853 all3605 the righteous acts6666 of the LORD,3068 which834 he did6213 to854 you and to854 your fathers.1

8 When834 Jacob3290 was come935 into Egypt,4714 and your fathers1 cried2199 unto413 the LORD,3068 then the LORD3068 sent7971 853 Moses4872 and Aaron,175 which brought forth3318 853 your fathers1 out of Egypt,4480 4714 and made them dwell3427 in this2088 place.4725

9 And when they forgot7911 853 the LORD3068 their God,430 he sold4376 them into the hand3027 of Sisera,5516 captain8269 of the host6635 of Hazor,2674 and into the hand3027 of the Philistines,6430 and into the hand3027 of the king4428 of Moab,4124 and they fought3898 against them.

10 And they cried2199 unto413 the LORD,3068 and said,559 We have sinned,2398 because3588 we have forsaken5800 853 the LORD,3068 and have served5647 853 Baalim1168 and Ashtaroth:6252 but now6258 deliver5337 us out of the hand4480 3027 of our enemies,341 and we will serve5647 thee.

11 And the LORD3068 sent7971 853 Jerubbaal,3378 and Bedan,917 and Jephthah,3316 and Samuel,8050 and delivered5337 you out of the hand4480 3027 of your enemies341 on every side,4480 5439 and ye dwelled3427 safe.983

12 And when ye saw7200 that3588 Nahash5176 the king4428 of the children1121 of Ammon5983 came935 against5921 you, ye said559 unto me, Nay;3808 but3588 a king4428 shall reign4427 over5921 us: when the LORD3068 your God430 was your king.4428

13 Now6258 therefore behold2009 the king4428 whom834 ye have chosen,977 and whom834 ye have desired!7592 and, behold,2009 the LORD3068 hath set5414 a king4428 over5921 you.

14 If518 ye will fear3372 853 the LORD,3068 and serve5647 him, and obey8085 his voice,6963 and not3808 rebel against4784 853 the commandment6310 of the LORD,3068 then shall both1571 ye859 and also1571 the king4428 that834 reigneth4427 over5921 you continue1961 following310 the LORD3068 your God: 430

15 But if518 ye will not3808 obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD,3068 but rebel against4784 853 the commandment6310 of the LORD,3068 then shall the hand3027 of the LORD3068 be1961 against you, as it was against your fathers.1

16 Now6258 therefore1571 stand3320 and see7200 853 this2088 great1419 thing,1697 which834 the LORD3068 will do6213 before your eyes.5869

17 Is it not3808 wheat2406 harvest7105 today?3117 I will call7121 unto413 the LORD,3068 and he shall send5414 thunder6963 and rain;4306 that ye may perceive3045 and see7200 that3588 your wickedness7451 is great,7227 which834 ye have done6213 in the sight5869 of the LORD,3068 in asking7592 you a king.4428

18 So Samuel8050 called7121 unto413 the LORD;3068 and the LORD3068 sent5414 thunder6963 and rain4306 that1931 day:3117 and all3605 the people5971 greatly3966 feared3372 853 the LORD3068 and Samuel.8050

19 And all3605 the people5971 said559 unto413 Samuel,8050 Pray6419 for1157 thy servants5650 unto413 the LORD3068 thy God,430 that we die4191 not:408 for3588 we have added3254 unto5921 all3605 our sins2403 this evil,7451 to ask7592 us a king.4428

20 And Samuel8050 said559 unto413 the people,5971 Fear3372 not:408 ye859 have done6213 853 all3605 this2063 wickedness:7451 yet389 turn not aside408 5493 from following4480 310 the LORD,3068 but serve5647 853 the LORD3068 with all3605 your heart;3824

21 And turn ye not aside:3808 5493 for3588 then should ye go after310 vain8414 things, which834 cannot3808 profit3276 nor3808 deliver;5337 for3588 they1992 are vain.8414

22 For3588 the LORD3068 will not3808 forsake5203 853 his people5971 for his great1419 name's8034 sake:5668 because3588 it hath pleased2974 the LORD3068 to make6213 you his people.5971

23 Moreover1571 as for me,595 God forbid2486 that I should sin4480 2398 against the LORD3068 in ceasing4480 2308 to pray6419 for1157 you: but I will teach3384 you the good2896 and the right3477 way: 1870

24 Only389 fear3372 853 the LORD,3068 and serve5647 him in truth571 with all3605 your heart:3824 for3588 consider7200 853 how834 great things he hath done1431 for5973 you.

25 But if518 ye shall still do wickedly,7489 7489 ye shall be consumed,5595 both1571 ye859 and1571 your king.4428

1 И сказал Самуил всему Израилю: вот я послушался слов ваших во всем, что вы мне сказали, и поставил над вами царя.

2 Итак, вот царь ходит пред вами. А я состарелся и поседел; вот и сыновья мои с вами. Я ходил пред вами от юности моей до сего дня.

3 Вот я; свидетельствуйте на меня пред Господом и пред помазанником Его: взял ли я у кого вола, взял ли у кого осла, или кого обидел и притеснил, или взял у кого дар, и закрыл ли в деле его глаза мои? И я возвращу вам.

4 И сказали: ты не обижал нас, и не притеснял нас, и ничего ни у кого не взял.

5 И сказал им Самуил: свидетель на вас Господь, и свидетель помазанник Его в сей день, что вы не нашли ничего во мне, и сказал народ: свидетель.

6 И сказал Самуил народу: свидетель Господь, Который сотворил Моисея и Аарона, и Который вывел отцев ваших из земли Египетской.

7 Итак предстаньте, и я буду судиться с вами пред Господом, и скажу вам о всех благодеяниях Господних, которые Он сделал вам и отцам вашим.

8 Когда пришел Иаков в Египет, и отцы ваши возопили ко Господу, Господь послал Моисея и Аарона, и они вывели отцев ваших из Египта, и поселили их на месте сем.

9 Но они забыли Господа, Бога своего; и предал Он их в руки Сисары, военачальника Ацорского, и в руки Филистимлян, и в руки царя Моавитского, которые воевали с нами.

10 Но когда они возопили ко Господу, и сказали: согрешили мы, ибо оставили Господа, и стали служить Ваалам и Астартам; и ныне избавь нас от руки врагов наших, и мы будем служить Тебе.

11 Тогда Господь послал Иероваала, и Ведана, и Иеффая, и Самуила, и исторгнул вас из руки врагов ваших, окружавших вас, и вы жили безопасно.

12 Но увидев, что Нахаш, царь Аммонитский, идет против вас, вы сказали мне: нет, царь пусть царствует над нами, тогда как Господь, Бог ваш, был царем вашим.

13 Итак, вот царь, которого вы избрали, которого вы просили, и вот поставил Господь над вами царя.

14 Если вы будете бояться Господа и служить Ему, и будете повиноваться гласу Его, и не будете противиться повелениям Господним, и будете ходить вслед Господа Бога вашего, как сами вы, так и царь, который царствует над вами...

15 Если же не будете повиноваться гласу Господню, и будете противиться повелениям Господним: то и на вас будет рука Господня, как на отцах ваших.

16 Теперь стойте и увидите великое дело, которое сделает Господь пред глазами вашими.

17 Не жатва ли пшеницы теперь? Но я воззову ко Господу, и Он даст гром и дождь. И узнаете и увидите, что велико зло ваше, которое вы сделали пред очами Господа, испросив себе царя.

18 И воззвал Самуил ко Господу и дал Господь гром и дождь в тот день, и весьма убоялся весь народ Господа и Самуила.

19 И сказал весь народ Самуилу: помолись о рабах твоих Господу, Богу твоему, чтобы мы не умерли: ибо ко всем нашим грехам мы присовокупили еще новое зло, испросив себе царя.

20 И сказал Самуил народу: не бойтесь! Хотя вы сделали все зло сие, но не уклоняйтесь от Господа, и служите Господу от всего сердца вашего.

21 Не уклоняйтесь вслед ничтожных, которые не помогут и не избавят, поелику они ничто.

22 Господь не оставит народа Своего, ради имени Своего великого: поелику благоволил Господь соделать вас Своим народом.

23 Да и я отнюдь не сделаю греха сего пред Господом, чтобы перестать молиться о вас и указывать вам добрый и прямой путь.

24 Только бойтесь Господа, и служите Ему в истине, от всего сердца вашего: ибо видите, как Он много делал для вас.

25 Если же будете делать зло, то погибнете вы и царь ваш.

1 И сказал Самуил всему Израилю: вот я послушался слов ваших во всем, что вы мне сказали, и поставил над вами царя.

2 And now,6258 behold,2009 the king4428 walketh1980 before6440 you: and I589 am old2204 and grayheaded;7867 and, behold,2009 my sons1121 are with854 you: and I589 have walked1980 before6440 you from my childhood4480 5271 unto5704 this2088 day.3117

2 Итак, вот царь ходит пред вами. А я состарелся и поседел; вот и сыновья мои с вами. Я ходил пред вами от юности моей до сего дня.

3 Behold,2009 here I am: witness6030 against me before5048 the LORD,3068 and before5048 his anointed:4899 whose4310 853 ox7794 have I taken?3947 or whose4310 ass2543 have I taken?3947 or whom4310 have I defrauded?6231 853 whom4310 have I oppressed?7533 or of whose hand4480 3027 4310 have I received3947 any bribe3724 to blind5956 mine eyes5869 therewith? and I will restore7725 it you.

3 Вот я; свидетельствуйте на меня пред Господом и пред помазанником Его: взял ли я у кого вола, взял ли у кого осла, или кого обидел и притеснил, или взял у кого дар, и закрыл ли в деле его глаза мои? И я возвращу вам.

5 И сказал им Самуил: свидетель на вас Господь, и свидетель помазанник Его в сей день, что вы не нашли ничего во мне, и сказал народ: свидетель.

10 Но когда они возопили ко Господу, и сказали: согрешили мы, ибо оставили Господа, и стали служить Ваалам и Астартам; и ныне избавь нас от руки врагов наших, и мы будем служить Тебе.

11 And the LORD3068 sent7971 853 Jerubbaal,3378 and Bedan,917 and Jephthah,3316 and Samuel,8050 and delivered5337 you out of the hand4480 3027 of your enemies341 on every side,4480 5439 and ye dwelled3427 safe.983

11 Тогда Господь послал Иероваала, и Ведана, и Иеффая, и Самуила, и исторгнул вас из руки врагов ваших, окружавших вас, и вы жили безопасно.

12 And when ye saw7200 that3588 Nahash5176 the king4428 of the children1121 of Ammon5983 came935 against5921 you, ye said559 unto me, Nay;3808 but3588 a king4428 shall reign4427 over5921 us: when the LORD3068 your God430 was your king.4428

12 Но увидев, что Нахаш, царь Аммонитский, идет против вас, вы сказали мне: нет, царь пусть царствует над нами, тогда как Господь, Бог ваш, был царем вашим.

13 Now6258 therefore behold2009 the king4428 whom834 ye have chosen,977 and whom834 ye have desired!7592 and, behold,2009 the LORD3068 hath set5414 a king4428 over5921 you.

13 Итак, вот царь, которого вы избрали, которого вы просили, и вот поставил Господь над вами царя.

14 If518 ye will fear3372 853 the LORD,3068 and serve5647 him, and obey8085 his voice,6963 and not3808 rebel against4784 853 the commandment6310 of the LORD,3068 then shall both1571 ye859 and also1571 the king4428 that834 reigneth4427 over5921 you continue1961 following310 the LORD3068 your God: 430

14 Если вы будете бояться Господа и служить Ему, и будете повиноваться гласу Его, и не будете противиться повелениям Господним, и будете ходить вслед Господа Бога вашего, как сами вы, так и царь, который царствует над вами...

15 But if518 ye will not3808 obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD,3068 but rebel against4784 853 the commandment6310 of the LORD,3068 then shall the hand3027 of the LORD3068 be1961 against you, as it was against your fathers.1

15 Если же не будете повиноваться гласу Господню, и будете противиться повелениям Господним: то и на вас будет рука Господня, как на отцах ваших.

16 Now6258 therefore1571 stand3320 and see7200 853 this2088 great1419 thing,1697 which834 the LORD3068 will do6213 before your eyes.5869

16 Теперь стойте и увидите великое дело, которое сделает Господь пред глазами вашими.

17 Не жатва ли пшеницы теперь? Но я воззову ко Господу, и Он даст гром и дождь. И узнаете и увидите, что велико зло ваше, которое вы сделали пред очами Господа, испросив себе царя.

18 So Samuel8050 called7121 unto413 the LORD;3068 and the LORD3068 sent5414 thunder6963 and rain4306 that1931 day:3117 and all3605 the people5971 greatly3966 feared3372 853 the LORD3068 and Samuel.8050

18 И воззвал Самуил ко Господу и дал Господь гром и дождь в тот день, и весьма убоялся весь народ Господа и Самуила.

19 And all3605 the people5971 said559 unto413 Samuel,8050 Pray6419 for1157 thy servants5650 unto413 the LORD3068 thy God,430 that we die4191 not:408 for3588 we have added3254 unto5921 all3605 our sins2403 this evil,7451 to ask7592 us a king.4428

19 И сказал весь народ Самуилу: помолись о рабах твоих Господу, Богу твоему, чтобы мы не умерли: ибо ко всем нашим грехам мы присовокупили еще новое зло, испросив себе царя.

20 And Samuel8050 said559 unto413 the people,5971 Fear3372 not:408 ye859 have done6213 853 all3605 this2063 wickedness:7451 yet389 turn not aside408 5493 from following4480 310 the LORD,3068 but serve5647 853 the LORD3068 with all3605 your heart;3824

20 И сказал Самуил народу: не бойтесь! Хотя вы сделали все зло сие, но не уклоняйтесь от Господа, и служите Господу от всего сердца вашего.

21 And turn ye not aside:3808 5493 for3588 then should ye go after310 vain8414 things, which834 cannot3808 profit3276 nor3808 deliver;5337 for3588 they1992 are vain.8414

21 Не уклоняйтесь вслед ничтожных, которые не помогут и не избавят, поелику они ничто.

22 For3588 the LORD3068 will not3808 forsake5203 853 his people5971 for his great1419 name's8034 sake:5668 because3588 it hath pleased2974 the LORD3068 to make6213 you his people.5971

22 Господь не оставит народа Своего, ради имени Своего великого: поелику благоволил Господь соделать вас Своим народом.

23 Moreover1571 as for me,595 God forbid2486 that I should sin4480 2398 against the LORD3068 in ceasing4480 2308 to pray6419 for1157 you: but I will teach3384 you the good2896 and the right3477 way: 1870

23 Да и я отнюдь не сделаю греха сего пред Господом, чтобы перестать молиться о вас и указывать вам добрый и прямой путь.

24 Only389 fear3372 853 the LORD,3068 and serve5647 him in truth571 with all3605 your heart:3824 for3588 consider7200 853 how834 great things he hath done1431 for5973 you.

24 Только бойтесь Господа, и служите Ему в истине, от всего сердца вашего: ибо видите, как Он много делал для вас.

25 But if518 ye shall still do wickedly,7489 7489 ye shall be consumed,5595 both1571 ye859 and1571 your king.4428

25 Если же будете делать зло, то погибнете вы и царь ваш.
