1 And Elijah452 the Tishbite,8664 who was of the inhabitants4480 8453 of Gilead,1568 said559 unto413 Ahab,256 As the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 liveth,2416 before6440 whom834 I stand,5975 there shall not518 be1961 dew2919 nor rain4306 these428 years,8141 but3588 518 according6310 to my word.1697

2 And the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 unto413 him, saying,559

3 Get1980 thee hence,4480 2088 and turn6437 thee eastward,6924 and hide thyself5641 by the brook5158 Cherith,3747 that834 is before5921 6440 Jordan.3383

4 And it shall be,1961 that thou shalt drink8354 of the brook;4480 5158 and I have commanded6680 the ravens6158 to feed3557 thee there.8033

5 So he went1980 and did6213 according unto the word1697 of the LORD:3068 for he went1980 and dwelt3427 by the brook5158 Cherith,3747 that834 is before5921 6440 Jordan.3383

6 And the ravens6158 brought935 him bread3899 and flesh1320 in the morning,1242 and bread3899 and flesh1320 in the evening;6153 and he drank8354 of4480 the brook.5158

7 And it came to pass1961 after4480 7093 a while,3117 that the brook5158 dried up,3001 because3588 there had been1961 no3808 rain1653 in the land.776

8 And the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 unto413 him, saying,559

9 Arise,6965 get1980 thee to Zarephath,6886 which834 belongeth to Zidon,6721 and dwell3427 there:8033 behold,2009 I have commanded6680 a widow490 woman802 there8033 to sustain3557 thee.

10 So he arose6965 and went1980 to Zarephath.6886 And when he came935 to413 the gate6607 of the city,5892 behold,2009 the widow490 woman802 was there8033 gathering7197 of sticks:6086 and he called7121 to413 her, and said,559 Fetch3947 me, I pray thee,4994 a little4592 water4325 in a vessel,3627 that I may drink.8354

11 And as she was going1980 to fetch3947 it, he called7121 to413 her, and said,559 Bring3947 me, I pray thee,4994 a morsel6595 of bread3899 in thine hand.3027

12 And she said,559 As the LORD3068 thy God430 liveth,2416 I have3426 not518 a cake,4580 but3588 518 a handful4393 3709 of meal7058 in a barrel,3537 and a little4592 oil8081 in a cruse:6835 and, behold,2009 I am gathering7197 two8147 sticks,6086 that I may go in935 and dress6213 it for me and my son,1121 that we may eat398 it, and die.4191

13 And Elijah452 said559 unto413 her, Fear3372 not;408 go935 and do6213 as thou hast said:1697 but389 make6213 me thereof4480 8033 a little6996 cake5692 first,7223 and bring3318 it unto me, and after314 make6213 for thee and for thy son.1121

14 For3588 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 The barrel3537 of meal7058 shall not3808 waste,3615 neither3808 shall the cruse6835 of oil8081 fail,2637 until5704 the day3117 that the LORD3068 sendeth5414 rain1653 upon5921 6440 the earth.127

15 And she went1980 and did6213 according to the saying1697 of Elijah:452 and she,1931 and he,1931 and her house,1004 did eat398 many days.3117

16 And the barrel3537 of meal7058 wasted3615 not,3808 neither3808 did the cruse6835 of oil8081 fail,2637 according to the word1697 of the LORD,3068 which834 he spoke1696 by3027 Elijah.452

17 And it came to pass1961 after310 these428 things,1697 that the son1121 of the woman,802 the mistress1172 of the house,1004 fell sick;2470 and his sickness2483 was1961 so3966 sore,2389 that5704 834 there was no3808 breath5397 left3498 in him.

18 And she said559 unto413 Elijah,452 What4100 have I to do with thee, O thou man376 of God?430 art thou come935 unto413 me to call853 my sin5771 to remembrance,2142 and to slay4191 853 my son?1121

19 And he said559 unto413 her, Give5414 me853 thy son.1121 And he took3947 him out of her bosom,4480 2436 and carried him up5927 into413 a loft,5944 where834 8033 he1931 abode,3427 and laid7901 him upon5921 his own bed.4296

20 And he cried7121 unto413 the LORD,3068 and said,559 O LORD3068 my God,430 hast thou also1571 brought evil7489 upon5921 the widow490 with5973 whom834 I589 sojourn,1481 by slaying4191 853 her son?1121

21 And he stretched himself4058 upon5921 the child3206 three7969 times,6471 and cried7121 unto413 the LORD,3068 and said,559 O LORD3068 my God,430 I pray thee,4994 let this2088 child's3206 soul5315 come into him again.7725 5921 7130

22 And the LORD3068 heard8085 the voice6963 of Elijah;452 and the soul5315 of the child3206 came into him again,7725 5921 7130 and he revived.2421

23 And Elijah452 took3947 853 the child,3206 and brought him down3381 out of4480 the chamber5944 into the house,1004 and delivered5414 him unto his mother:517 and Elijah452 said,559 See,7200 thy son1121 liveth.2416

24 And the woman802 said559 to413 Elijah,452 Now6258 by this2088 I know3045 that3588 thou859 art a man376 of God,430 and that the word1697 of the LORD3068 in thy mouth6310 is truth.571

1 Илия из Тишбы Гиладской сказал Ахаву: «Жив ГОСПОДЬ, Бог Израилев, Которому я служу: в ближайшие годы не будет ни росы, ни дождя, кроме как по слову моему».

2 И было к нему слово ГОСПОДНЕ:

3 «Не оставайся здесь, иди на восток и скройся у потока Керит, что к востоку от Иордана.

4 Ты будешь пить воду из этого потока, а кормить тебя Я велел воронам».

5 Он отправился в путь и поступил по слову ГОСПОДНЮ: скрылся у потока Керит, что к востоку от Иордана.

6 Вороны приносили ему хлеб и мясо утром, хлеб и мясо вечером, а пил он из потока.

7 Но прошло время, и поток пересох, потому что во всей стране не было дождя.

8 И было к Илии слово ГОСПОДНЕ:

9 «Иди в Сарепту, что около Сидона, и поселись там, Я велел там одной вдове заботиться о твоем пропитании».

10 Он отправился в Сарепту и при входе в город увидел вдову, собиравшую хворост. Он обратился к ней с просьбой: «Принеси мне в кувшине немного воды!»

11 Она отправилась за водой, но он опять обратился к ней с просьбой: «А еще принеси мне немного хлеба».

12 Она ответила: «Жив ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой! Нет у меня хлеба ни крошки. Есть пригоршня муки в кадке и немного масла в кувшине. Набрала я пару вязанок хвороста — пойду испеку хлеба себе и сыну. Съедим это, а дальше — голодная смерть».

13 Илия сказал ей: «Не бойся, иди и делай, что собиралась, но сначала испеки маленькую лепешку для меня и принеси сюда, а потом приготовишь себе и сыну.

14 Вот что говорит ГОСПОДЬ, Бог Израиля: „Не закончится мука в кадке и не иссякнет масло в кувшине, пока не пошлет ГОСПОДЬ дождь на землю“».

15 Она пошла и сделала, как сказал Илия, и с того дня было еды в доме сколько нужно для нее, для Илии и для всех ее домочадцев:

16 мука в кадке не заканчивалась и масло в кувшине не иссякало по слову ГОСПОДНЮ, которое Он возвестил через Илию.

17 Спустя некоторое время заболел сын той женщины, хозяйки дома. Болезнь его усиливалась, и он перестал дышать.

18 Тогда она сказала Илии: «Какое тебе до меня дело, человек Божий? Ты, видно, пришел напомнить мне о моей вине и умертвить моего сына».

19 Он ответил: «Дай мне твоего сына». Он взял его у нее с коленей, поднялся в верхнюю комнату, где жил, и положил на свою постель.

20 И воззвал он к ГОСПОДУ: «ГОСПОДИ, Боже мой, неужели и вдове, у которой я живу, Ты причинил горе, умертвив ее сына?»

21 Трижды простирался он над телом ребенка и взывал при этом к ГОСПОДУ: «Прошу Тебя, ГОСПОДИ, Боже мой, верни дыхание жизни в тело ребенка!»

22 ГОСПОДЬ услышал молитву Илии, и ребенок задышал и ожил.

23 Взяв ребенка, Илия спустился с ним из верхней комнаты дома и отдал его матери со словами: «Смотри, твой сын жив».

24 И ответила Илии женщина: «Теперь я знаю, что ты человек Божий и в твоих устах поистине слово ГОСПОДНЕ».

10 Он отправился в Сарепту и при входе в город увидел вдову, собиравшую хворост. Он обратился к ней с просьбой: «Принеси мне в кувшине немного воды!»

11 And as she was going1980 to fetch3947 it, he called7121 to413 her, and said,559 Bring3947 me, I pray thee,4994 a morsel6595 of bread3899 in thine hand.3027

11 Она отправилась за водой, но он опять обратился к ней с просьбой: «А еще принеси мне немного хлеба».

12 And she said,559 As the LORD3068 thy God430 liveth,2416 I have3426 not518 a cake,4580 but3588 518 a handful4393 3709 of meal7058 in a barrel,3537 and a little4592 oil8081 in a cruse:6835 and, behold,2009 I am gathering7197 two8147 sticks,6086 that I may go in935 and dress6213 it for me and my son,1121 that we may eat398 it, and die.4191

12 Она ответила: «Жив ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой! Нет у меня хлеба ни крошки. Есть пригоршня муки в кадке и немного масла в кувшине. Набрала я пару вязанок хвороста — пойду испеку хлеба себе и сыну. Съедим это, а дальше — голодная смерть».

13 And Elijah452 said559 unto413 her, Fear3372 not;408 go935 and do6213 as thou hast said:1697 but389 make6213 me thereof4480 8033 a little6996 cake5692 first,7223 and bring3318 it unto me, and after314 make6213 for thee and for thy son.1121

13 Илия сказал ей: «Не бойся, иди и делай, что собиралась, но сначала испеки маленькую лепешку для меня и принеси сюда, а потом приготовишь себе и сыну.

14 For3588 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 The barrel3537 of meal7058 shall not3808 waste,3615 neither3808 shall the cruse6835 of oil8081 fail,2637 until5704 the day3117 that the LORD3068 sendeth5414 rain1653 upon5921 6440 the earth.127

14 Вот что говорит ГОСПОДЬ, Бог Израиля: „Не закончится мука в кадке и не иссякнет масло в кувшине, пока не пошлет ГОСПОДЬ дождь на землю“».

15 And she went1980 and did6213 according to the saying1697 of Elijah:452 and she,1931 and he,1931 and her house,1004 did eat398 many days.3117

15 Она пошла и сделала, как сказал Илия, и с того дня было еды в доме сколько нужно для нее, для Илии и для всех ее домочадцев:

16 And the barrel3537 of meal7058 wasted3615 not,3808 neither3808 did the cruse6835 of oil8081 fail,2637 according to the word1697 of the LORD,3068 which834 he spoke1696 by3027 Elijah.452

17 And it came to pass1961 after310 these428 things,1697 that the son1121 of the woman,802 the mistress1172 of the house,1004 fell sick;2470 and his sickness2483 was1961 so3966 sore,2389 that5704 834 there was no3808 breath5397 left3498 in him.

20 И воззвал он к ГОСПОДУ: «ГОСПОДИ, Боже мой, неужели и вдове, у которой я живу, Ты причинил горе, умертвив ее сына?»

21 Трижды простирался он над телом ребенка и взывал при этом к ГОСПОДУ: «Прошу Тебя, ГОСПОДИ, Боже мой, верни дыхание жизни в тело ребенка!»

22 And the LORD3068 heard8085 the voice6963 of Elijah;452 and the soul5315 of the child3206 came into him again,7725 5921 7130 and he revived.2421

22 ГОСПОДЬ услышал молитву Илии, и ребенок задышал и ожил.

23 And Elijah452 took3947 853 the child,3206 and brought him down3381 out of4480 the chamber5944 into the house,1004 and delivered5414 him unto his mother:517 and Elijah452 said,559 See,7200 thy son1121 liveth.2416

23 Взяв ребенка, Илия спустился с ним из верхней комнаты дома и отдал его матери со словами: «Смотри, твой сын жив».

24 And the woman802 said559 to413 Elijah,452 Now6258 by this2088 I know3045 that3588 thou859 art a man376 of God,430 and that the word1697 of the LORD3068 in thy mouth6310 is truth.571

24 И ответила Илии женщина: «Теперь я знаю, что ты человек Божий и в твоих устах поистине слово ГОСПОДНЕ».
