1 Naeman5283, der Feldhauptmann8269 des Königs4428 zu Syrien758, war ein trefflicher Mann376 vor6440 seinem Herrn3068 und2428 hoch1419 gehalten5375; denn durch ihn gab5414 der HErr113 Heil8668 in Syrien758. Und er war ein gewaltiger1368 Mann376, und aussätzig6879.

2 And the Syrians758 had gone out3318 by companies,1416 and had brought away captive7617 out of the land4480 776 of Israel3478 a little6996 maid;5291 and she waited1961 6440 on Naaman's5283 wife.802

3 And she said559 unto413 her mistress,1404 Would God305 my lord113 were with6440 the prophet5030 that834 is in Samaria!8111 for227 he would recover622 him of his leprosy.4480 6883

3 Die sprach559 zu ihrer Frau1404: Ach, daß305 mein Herr113 wäre bei dem Propheten5030 zu Samaria8111, der würde ihn von6440 seinem Aussatz6883 losmachen622.

4 And one went in,935 and told5046 his lord,113 saying,559 Thus2063 and thus2063 said1696 the maid5291 that834 is of the land4480 776 of Israel.3478

4 Da ging935 er hinein zu seinem Herrn113 und sagte5046 es ihm und sprach559: So und so hat1696 die Dirne5291 aus dem Lande776 Israel3478 geredet.

5 And the king4428 of Syria758 said,559 Go to,1980 go,935 and I will send7971 a letter5612 unto413 the king4428 of Israel.3478 And he departed,1980 and took3947 with3027 him ten6235 talents3603 of silver,3701 and six8337 thousand505 pieces of gold,2091 and ten6235 changes2487 of raiment.899

5 Der König4428 zu Syrien758 sprach559: So zeuch hin3212, ich will935 dem König4428 Israels3478 einen Brief5612 schreiben7971. Und er zog3212 hin und nahm3947 mit sich3027 zehn6235 Zentner3603 Silbers3701 und sechstausend8337 Gülden und zehn6235 Feierkleider2487.

6 And he brought935 the letter5612 to413 the king4428 of Israel,3478 saying,559 Now6258 when this2088 letter5612 is come935 unto413 thee, behold,2009 I have therewith sent7971 853 Naaman5283 my servant5650 to413 thee, that thou mayest recover622 him of his leprosy.4480 6883

6 Und brachte935 den Brief5612 dem Könige4428 Israels3478, der lautete also: Wenn dieser Brief5612 zu dir kommt935, siehe, so wisse, ich habe meinen Knecht5650 Naeman5283 zu dir gesandt7971, daß du559 ihn von seinem Aussatz6883 losmachest.

7 And it came to pass,1961 when the king4428 of Israel3478 had read7121 853 the letter,5612 that he rent7167 his clothes,899 and said,559 Am I589 God,430 to kill4191 and to make alive,2421 that3588 this2088 man doth send7971 unto413 me to recover622 a man376 of his leprosy?4480 6883 wherefore3588 389 consider,3045 I pray you,4994 and see7200 how3588 he1931 seeketh a quarrel579 against me.

7 Und da2088 der König4428 Israels3478 den Brief5612 las, zerriß7167 er7971 seine Kleider899 und sprach7121: Bin ich559 denn GOtt430, daß ich töten4191 und lebendig2421 machen könnte, daß er zu mir schicket, daß ich den Mann376 von seinem Aussatz6883 losmache622? Merket und sehet7200, wie3045 suchet er Ursache zu mir!

8 And it was1961 so, when Elisha477 the man376 of God430 had heard8085 that3588 the king4428 of Israel3478 had rent7167 853 his clothes,899 that he sent7971 to413 the king,4428 saying,559 Wherefore4100 hast thou rent7167 thy clothes?899 let him come935 now4994 to413 me, and he shall know3045 that3588 there is3426 a prophet5030 in Israel.3478

8 Da das Elisa477, der Mann376 Gottes430, hörete, daß der König4428 Israels3478 seine Kleider899 zerrissen7167 hatte3426, sandte er4428 zu ihm und ließ7971 ihm sagen559: Warum hast8085 du3045 deine Kleider899 zerrissen7167? Laß ihn zu mir kommen, daß er inne werde, daß ein Prophet5030 in Israel3478 ist935.

9 So Naaman5283 came935 with his horses5483 and with his chariot,7393 and stood5975 at the door6607 of the house1004 of Elisha.477

9 Also kam935 Naeman5283 mit Rossen5483 und Wagen7393 und hielt5975 vor der Tür6607 am Hause1004 Elisas477.

10 And Elisha477 sent7971 a messenger4397 unto413 him, saying,559 Go1980 and wash7364 in Jordan3383 seven7651 times,6471 and thy flesh1320 shall come again7725 to thee, and thou shalt be clean.2891

10 Da sandte Elisa477 einen Boten4397 zu ihm und7651 ließ7971 ihm sagen559: Gehe1980 hin und wasche7364 dich7725 siebenmal im Jordan3383, so wird dir dein Fleisch1320 wiedererstattet und rein2891 werden.

11 But Naaman5283 was wroth,7107 and went away,1980 and said,559 Behold,2009 I thought,559 He will surely come out3318 3318 to413 me, and stand,5975 and call7121 on the name8034 of the LORD3068 his God,430 and strike5130 his hand3027 over413 the place,4725 and recover622 the leper.6879

11 Da erzürnete Naeman5283 und zog3212 weg und sprach559: Ich559 meinte, er sollte3318 zu mir herauskommen3318 und hertreten5975 und den Namen8034 des HErrn3068, seines Gottes430, anrufen7121 und mit seiner Hand3027 über die Stätte4725 fahren5130 und den Aussatz6879 also abtun622.

12 Are not3808 Abana71 and Pharpar,6554 rivers5104 of Damascus,1834 better2896 than all4480 3605 the waters4325 of Israel?3478 may I not3808 wash7364 in them, and be clean?2891 So he turned6437 and went away1980 in a rage.2534

12 Sind nicht die Wasser5104 Amanas und Pharphars zu Damaskus1834 besser2896 denn alle Wasser4325 in Israel3478, daß ich mich drinnen wüsche7364 und rein2891 würde? Und wandte sich6437 und zog3212 weg mit Zorn2534.

13 And his servants5650 came near,5066 and spoke1696 unto413 him, and said,559 My father,1 if the prophet5030 had bid1696 413 thee do some great1419 thing,1697 wouldest thou not3808 have done6213 it? how much rather637 then, when3588 he saith559 to413 thee, Wash,7364 and be clean?2891

13 Da machten sich5066 seine Knechte5650 zu ihm, redeten1696 mit ihm und sprachen1696: Lieber Vater1, wenn dich der Prophet5030 etwas Großes hätte geheißen, solltest du559 es1697 nicht tun6213? Wie637 viel1419 mehr, so er zu dir sagt: Wasche7364 dich, so wirst du559 rein2891.

14 Then went he down,3381 and dipped2881 himself seven7651 times6471 in Jordan,3383 according to the saying1697 of the man376 of God:430 and his flesh1320 came again7725 like unto the flesh1320 of a little6996 child,5288 and he was clean.2891

14 Da stieg3381 er ab und7651 taufte sich2881 im Jordan3383 siebenmal, wie6471 der Mann376 Gottes430 geredet hatte1697; und sein7725 Fleisch1320 ward wiedererstattet, wie ein Fleisch1320 eines jungen6996 Knaben5288, und ward rein2891.

15 And he returned7725 to413 the man376 of God,430 he1931 and all3605 his company,4264 and came,935 and stood5975 before6440 him: and he said,559 Behold,2009 now4994 I know3045 that3588 there is no369 God430 in all3605 the earth,776 but3588 518 in Israel:3478 now6258 therefore, I pray thee,4994 take3947 a blessing1293 of4480 854 thy servant.5650

15 Und er kehrete wieder7725 zu dem Mann376 Gottes430 samt seinem ganzen Heer4264. Und da er hineinkam, trat5975 er vor6440 ihn und sprach559: Siehe, ich weiß3045, daß kein GOtt430 ist935 in allen Landen776 ohne in Israel3478; so nimm3947 nun den Segen1293 von deinem Knechte5650.

16 But he said,559 As the LORD3068 liveth,2416 before6440 whom834 I stand,5975 I will receive3947 none. And he urged6484 him to take3947 it; but he refused.3985
|
16 Er2416 aber sprach559: So war5975 der HErr3068 lebet, vor6440 dem ich stehe, ich nehme3947 es nicht3985. Und er nötigte6484 ihn, daß er‘s nähme; aber er wollte3947 nicht.

17 And Naaman5283 said,559 Shall there not3808 then, I pray thee,4994 be given5414 to thy servant5650 two mules'6776 6505 burden4853 of earth?127 for3588 thy servant5650 will henceforth5750 offer6213 neither3808 burnt offering5930 nor sacrifice2077 unto other312 gods,430 but3588 518 unto the LORD.3068

17 Da sprach559 Naeman5283: Möchte denn deinem Knechte5650 nicht gegeben5414 werden dieser Erde127 eine Last4853, so viel zwei6776 Mäuler tragen? Denn dein Knecht5650 will nicht mehr andern312 Göttern opfern2077 und430 Brandopfer5930 tun6213, sondern dem HErrn3068;

18 In this2088 thing1697 the LORD3068 pardon5545 thy servant,5650 that when my master113 goeth935 into the house1004 of Rimmon7417 to worship7812 there,8033 and he1931 leaneth8172 on5921 my hand,3027 and I bow myself7812 in the house1004 of Rimmon:7417 when I bow down myself7812 in the house1004 of Rimmon,7417 the LORD3068 pardon5545 thy servant5650 in this2088 thing.1697

18 daß1697 der HErr3068 deinem Knechte5650 darinnen wolle5545 gnädig sein5545, wo ich anbete7812 im Hause1004 Rimons, wenn mein Herr113 ins Haus1004 Rimons gehet, daselbst anzubeten, und935 er3068 sich7812 an7812 meine Hand3027 lehnet.

19 And he said559 unto him, Go1980 in peace.7965 So he departed1980 from4480 854 him a little way.3530 776

19 Er3212 sprach559 zu ihm: Zeuch hin3212 mit Frieden7965! Und als er von ihm weggezogen war, ein Feldweges auf dem Lande776,

20 But Gehazi,1522 the servant5288 of Elisha477 the man376 of God,430 said,559 Behold,2009 my master113 hath spared2820 853 Naaman5283 this2088 Syrian,761 in not receiving4480 3947 at his hands4480 3027 853 that which834 he brought:935 but,3588 518 as the LORD3068 liveth,2416 I will run7323 after310 him, and take3947 somewhat3972 of4480 854 him.

20 gedachte559 Gehasi1522, der Knabe5288 Elisas477, des Mannes Gottes430: Siehe, mein Herr113 hat3947 diesen Syrer761 Naeman5283 verschonet, daß er376 nichts von3027 ihm hat genommen, das er2416 gebracht hat. So wahr der HErr3068 lebet, ich will935 ihm nachlaufen7323 und310 etwas3972 von ihm nehmen3947.

21 So Gehazi1522 followed7291 after310 Naaman.5283 And when Naaman5283 saw7200 him running7323 after310 him, he lighted down5307 from4480 5921 the chariot4818 to meet7122 him, and said,559 Is all well?7965

21 Also jagte Gehasi1522 dem Naeman5283 nach7291. Und310 da310 Naeman5283 sah7200, daß er7323 ihm nachlief, stieg er5307 vom Wagen4818 ihm entgegen7125 und sprach559: Gehet es recht zu?

22 And he said,559 All is well.7965 My master113 hath sent7971 me, saying,559 Behold,2009 even now6258 2088 there be come935 to413 me from mount4480 2022 Ephraim669 two8147 young men5288 of the sons4480 1121 of the prophets:5030 give5414 them, I pray thee,4994 a talent3603 of silver,3701 and two8147 changes2487 of garments.899

22 Er sprach559: Ja7965. Aber mein Herr113 hat mich gesandt7971 und läßt dir sagen559: Siehe, jetzt sind935 zu mir kommen vom Gebirge2022 Ephraim669 zween Knaben5288 aus der Propheten5030 Kindern1121; gib5414 ihnen8147 einen Zentner3603 Silbers3701 und zwei8147 Feierkleider2487.

23 And Naaman5283 said,559 Be content,2974 take3947 two talents.3603 And he urged6555 him, and bound6696 two talents3603 of silver3701 in two8147 bags,2754 with two8147 changes2487 of garments,899 and laid5414 them upon413 two8147 of his servants;5288 and they bore5375 them before6440 him.

23 Naeman5283 sprach559: Lieber2974, nimm3947 zween Zentner3603: Und er nötigte ihn6555 und band6696 zween Zentner3603 Silbers3701 in zween Beutel2754 und zwei8147 Feierkleider2487 und gab‘s5414 seinen zweien Knaben5288, die trugen5375 es vor6440 ihm her.

24 And when he came935 to413 the tower,6076 he took3947 them from their hand,4480 3027 and bestowed6485 them in the house:1004 and he let853 the men376 go,7971 and they departed.1980

24 Und da er6485 kam gen Ophel, nahm3947 er‘s3212 von ihren Händen3027 und legte es beiseit im Hause1004 und ließ7971 die Männer582 gehen935.

25 But he1931 went in,935 and stood5975 before413 his master.113 And Elisha477 said559 unto413 him, Whence4480 370 comest thou, Gehazi?1522 And he said,559 Thy servant5650 went1980 no3808 whither.575 575

25 Und da sie weg waren935, trat5975 er vor seinen Herrn113. Und Elisa477 sprach559 zu ihm: Woher370, Gehasi1522? Er sprach559: Dein Knecht5650 ist weder hieher noch daher gegangen1980.

26 And he said559 unto413 him, Went1980 not3808 mine heart3820 with thee, when834 the man376 turned again2015 from4480 5921 his chariot4818 to meet7122 thee? Is it a time6256 to receive3947 853 money,3701 and to receive3947 garments,899 and oliveyards,2132 and vineyards,3754 and sheep,6629 and oxen,1241 and menservants,5650 and maidservants?8198

26 Er aber sprach559 zu ihm: Wandelte1980 nicht2015 mein Herz3820, da der Mann376 umkehrete von seinem Wagen4818 dir entgegen7125? War das die Zeit6256, Silber3701 und Kleider899 zu nehmen3947, Ölgärten2132, Weinberge3754, Schafe6629, Rinder1241, Knechte5650 und Mägde8198?

27 The leprosy6883 therefore of Naaman5283 shall cleave1692 unto thee, and unto thy seed2233 forever.5769 And he went out3318 from his presence4480 6440 a leper6879 as white as snow.7950

27 Aber der Aussatz6883 Naemans5283 wird dir6440 anhangen1692 und deinem Samen2233 ewiglich5769. Da ging er von3318 ihm hinaus, aussätzig6879 wie Schnee7950.
