3 And when they of Ashdod795 arose early7925 on the morrow,4480 4283 behold,2009 Dagon1712 was fallen5307 upon his face6440 to the earth776 before6440 the ark727 of the LORD.3068 And they took3947 853 Dagon,1712 and set7725 him in his place4725 again.

3 Und da7725 die von Asdod796 des andern4283 Morgens frühe aufstunden, fanden sie Dagon1712 auf7925 seinem Antlitz liegen5307 auf6440 der Erde776 vor6440 der Lade727 des HErrn3068. Aber sie nahmen3947 den Dagon1712 und setzten ihn wieder7725 an seinen Ort4725.

4 And when they arose early7925 on the morrow4480 4283 morning,1242 behold,2009 Dagon1712 was fallen5307 upon his face6440 to the ground776 before6440 the ark727 of the LORD;3068 and the head7218 of Dagon1712 and both8147 the palms3709 of his hands3027 were cut off3772 upon413 the threshold;4670 only7535 the stump of Dagon1712 was left7604 to5921 him.

4 Da sie8147 aber des andern4283 Morgens1242 frühe aufstunden, fanden sie3027 Dagon1712 abermal auf7925 seinem Antlitz liegen auf6440 der Erde776 vor der Lade727 des HErrn3068, aber sein Haupt7218 und seine beiden Hände3709 abgehauen3772 auf6440 der Schwelle4670, daß der Rumpf allein drauf lag5307.

5 Therefore5921 3651 neither3808 the priests3548 of Dagon,1712 nor any3605 that come935 into Dagon's1712 house,1004 tread1869 on5921 the threshold4670 of Dagon1712 in Ashdod795 unto5704 this2088 day.3117

5 Darum treten1869 die Priester Dagons1712 und3548 alle, die in Dagons1712 Haus1004 gehen935, nicht auf die Schwelle4670 Dagons1712 zu Asdod795 bis auf diesen Tag3117.

6 But the hand3027 of the LORD3068 was heavy3513 upon413 them of Ashdod,795 and he destroyed8074 them, and smote5221 them with emerods,6076 even853 Ashdod795 and the coasts1366 thereof.

6 Aber die Hand3027 des HErrn3068 ward3513 schwer über die von Asdod796 und verderbete sie und schlug5221 Asdod795 und alle ihre Grenzen1366 an heimlichen Orten.

7 And when the men376 of Ashdod795 saw7200 that3588 it was so,3651 they said,559 The ark727 of the God430 of Israel3478 shall not3808 abide3427 with5973 us: for3588 his hand3027 is sore7185 upon5921 us, and upon5921 Dagon1712 our god.430

7 Da aber die Leute582 zu Asdod795 sahen7200, daß es so zuging, sprachen559 sie3427: Laßt die Lade727 des Gottes430 Israels3478 nicht bei uns bleiben; denn seine Hand3027 ist zu hart7185 über uns und unsern GOtt430 Dagon1712.

8 They sent7971 therefore and gathered622 853 all3605 the lords5633 of the Philistines6430 unto413 them, and said,559 What4100 shall we do6213 with the ark727 of the God430 of Israel?3478 And they answered,559 Let the ark727 of the God430 of Israel3478 be carried about5437 unto Gath.1661 And they carried5437 853 the ark727 of the God430 of Israel3478 about thither.

8 Und430 sandten hin und3478 versammelten622 alle Fürsten5633 der Philister6430 zu sich5437 und sprachen559: Was sollen wir mit der Lade727 des7971 Gottes430 Israels3478 machen6213? Da antworteten sie559: Lasset die von Gath1661 die Lade727 des Gottes430 Israels3478 umhertragen.

9 And it was1961 so, that, after310 they had carried it about,5437 853 the hand3027 of the LORD3068 was1961 against the city5892 with a very3966 great1419 destruction:4103 and he smote5221 853 the men376 of the city,5892 both small4480 6996 and great,1419 and they had emerods6076 in their secret parts.8368

9 Und sie trugen die Lade des Gottes Israels umher5437. Da310 sie aber dieselbe umhertrugen, ward durch die Hand3027 des HErrn3068 in der Stadt5892 ein sehr3966 großer1419 Rumor, und schlug5221 die Leute582 in der Stadt5892, beide klein6996 und groß1419, und kriegten heimliche Plage an heimlichen Orten.

10 Therefore they sent7971 853 the ark727 of God430 to Ekron.6138 And it came to pass,1961 as the ark727 of God430 came935 to Ekron,6138 that the Ekronites6139 cried out,2199 saying,559 They have brought about5437 853 the ark727 of the God430 of Israel3478 to413 us, to slay4191 us and our people.5971

10 Da sandten sie559 die Lade727 des HErrn gen Ekron6138. Da aber die Lade727 Gottes430 gen Ekron6138 kam935, schrieen2199 die von Ekron6139: Sie haben die Lade727 Gottes430 umhergetragen zu mir, daß sie mich7971 töte4191 und430 mein Volk5971.

11 So they sent7971 and gathered together622 853 all3605 the lords5633 of the Philistines,6430 and said,559 Send away7971 853 the ark727 of the God430 of Israel,3478 and let it go again7725 to his own place,4725 that it slay4191 us not,3808 and our people:5971 for3588 there was1961 a deadly4194 destruction4103 throughout all3605 the city;5892 the hand3027 of God430 was very3966 heavy3513 there.8033

11 Da sandten sie hin und versammelten622 alle Fürsten5633 der Philister6430 und sprachen559: Sendet7971 die Lade727 des Gottes430 Israels3478 wieder7725 an ihren Ort4725, daß sie mich7971 und mein Volk5971 nicht töte4191. Denn die Hand3027 Gottes430 machte3513 einen sehr3966 großen Rumor mit Würgen4194 in der ganzen Stadt5892.

12 And the men376 that834 died4191 not3808 were smitten5221 with the emerods:6076 and the cry7775 of the city5892 went up5927 to heaven.8064

12 Und welche Leute582 nicht starben4191, die wurden5221 geschlagen an heimlichen Orten, daß das Geschrei7775 der Stadt5892 auf5927 gen Himmel8064 ging.
