2 Und3967 machte sich auf6965 und ging5674 hinüber, samt den sechshundert8337 Mann376, die bei ihm1732 waren, zu Achis397, dem Sohn1121 Maochs4582, Könige4428 zu Gath1661.

3 Also blieb3427 David1732 bei Achis397 zu Gath1661, mit seinen Männern582, ein376 jeglicher mit seinem Hause1004; David1732 auch mit seinen zweien8147 Weibern802, Ahinoam293, der Jesreelitin3159, und Abigail26, des Nabals5037 Weibe802, der Karmelitin3762.

4 Und da Saul7586 angesagt5046 ward, daß David1732 gen Gath1661 geflohen1272 wäre, suchte1245 er ihn nicht3254 mehr3254.

5 Und David1732 sprach559 zu Achis397: Hab ich Gnade2580 vor deinen Augen5869 funden, so laß4672 mir geben5414 einen Raum in der Städte5892 einer259 auf dem Lande4725, daß ich drinnen wohne3427; was soll dein Knecht5650 in der königlichen4467 Stadt5892 bei dir wohnen3427?

6 Da gab5414 ihm Achis397 des Tages3117 Ziklag6860. Daher ist Ziklag6860 der Könige4428 Judas bis auf diesen Tag3117.

7 Die3427 Zeit3117 aber, die David1732 in der Philister6430 Lande7704 wohnete, ist ein Jahr und3117 vier702 Monden2320.

8 David1732 aber zog5927 hinauf samt seinen Männern582 und fiel ins6584 Land776 der Gessuriter1651 und Girsiter1511 und Amalekiter6003; denn diese waren935 die2007 Einwohner3427 von alters her5769 dieses Landes776, als man kommt gen Sur7793, bis an Ägyptenland4714.

9 Da aber David1732 das Land776 schlug5221, ließ er weder Mann376 noch Weib802 leben, und nahm3947 Schafe6629, Rinder1241, Esel2543, Kamele1581 und Kleider899; und kehrete wieder7725 und kam935 zu2421 Achis397.

10 Wenn denn Achis397 sprach559: Seid ihr heute3117 nicht408 eingefallen6584? so sprach559 David1732: Gegen den Mittag5045 Judas und gegen den Mittag5045 der Jerahmeeliter3397 und gegen den Mittag5045 der Keniter7017.

11 David1732 aber ließ weder Mann376 noch Weib802 lebendig2421 gen Gath1661 kommen935, und gedachte559, sie559 möchten wider uns reden5046 und schwätzen. Also tat6213 David1732, und das war2421 seine Weise4941, solange3117 er wohnete in der Philister6430 Lande7704.

Chapter 27

1 AND David said in his heart, Now if I should fall some day into the hands of Saul, it would not be good for me, but it is better for me that I should escape to the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of seeking me any more in the territory of Israel; so I shall escape out of his hands.

2 So David arose and went over, he and the six hundred men who were with him, to Achish, the son of Maachah, king of Gath.

3 And David dwelt with Achish at Gath, he and his men and the household of David and his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal's wife.

4 And it was told Saul that David had fled to Gath; and he sought no more after him.

5 And David said to Achish, If I have now found grace in your eyes, let the people give me a place in one of the towns in the desert, that I may dwell there; so that your servant may not dwell in the royal city with you.

6 Then Achish gave him Zinklag that day; therefore Zinklag belongs to the kings of Judah to this day.

7 And the time that David dwelt in the land of the Philistines was a full year and four months.

8 And David and his men went up and made raids upon the Geshurites and the Gadolites and the Amalekites; for these nations were of old the inhabitants of the land, and they raided Geshur as far as the land of Egypt.

9 And David smote the land and left neither man nor woman alive, and he took away the sheep and the oxen and the asses and the camels and the apparel; then David returned and came to Achish.

10 And Achish said to David, Where have you made a raid today? And David said, Against the south of Judah and against the south of Jerahmel and against the south of Kailah.

11 And David spared neither man nor woman alive, to bring tidings to Gath, saying, Lest they should tell on us, saying, Thus David has done, and such was his custom all the while he dwelt in the land of the Philistines.

12 And Achish believed David, saying, He has surely displeased his people Israel; therefore he has become my servant for ever.
