17 For the kingdom932 of God2316 is not meat1035 and drink;4213 but righteousness,1343 and peace,1515 and joy5479 in the Holy40 Ghost.4151

18 Wer darinnen Christo5547 dienet, der1722 ist1398 GOtt2316 gefällig2101 und1063 den444 Menschen wert1384.

18 For he that in these5125 things serves1398 Christ5547 is acceptable2101 to God,2316 and approved1384 of men.444

19 Darum3767 lasset uns dem3588 nachstreben, was zum Frieden1515 dienet, und2532 was zur1519 Besserung3619 untereinander240 dienet.

19 Let us therefore686 3767 follow1377 after1377 the things which make for peace,1515 and things with which one240 may edify3619 another.240

20 Lieber, verstöre2647 nicht3361 um1752 der Speise1033 willen1223 Gottes2316 Werk2041! Es ist zwar3303 alles rein2513, aber235 es ist nicht gut2556 dem444, der es isset2068 mit einem3956 Anstoß seines Gewissens4348.

20 For meat1033 destroy2647 not the work2041 of God.2316 All3956 things indeed3303 are pure;2513 but it is evil2556 for that man444 who3588 eats2068 with offense.4348

21 Es ist besser2570, du essest5315 kein Fleisch2907 und3366 trinkest4095 keinen3361 Wein3631 oder3366 das3739, daran sich4350 dein4675 Bruder80 stößet oder2228 ärgert4624 oder2228 schwach770 wird.

21 It is good2570 neither3361 to eat5315 flesh,2907 nor3366 to drink4095 wine,3631 nor3366 any3362 thing whereby1722 3739 your brother80 stumbles,4350 or2228 is offended,4624 or2228 is made770 weak.770

22 Hast du4771 den Glauben4102, so habe2192 ihn bei2596 dir selbst4572 vor1799 GOtt2316. Selig3107 ist2192, der sich selbst1438 kein3361 Gewissen macht2919 in1722 dem3739, was er annimmt1381.

22 Have2192 you faith?4102 have2192 it to yourself4572 before1799 God.2316 Happy3107 is he that comdemns2919 not himself1438 in that thing which3739 he allows.1381

23 Wer1437 aber1161 darüber zweifelt1252 und isset5315 doch, der ist2076 verdammt2632; denn3754 es gehet nicht3756 aus1537 dem Glauben4102. Was aber1161 nicht3756 aus1537 dem Glauben4102 gehet, das3956 ist Sünde266.

23 And he that doubts1252 is damned2632 if1437 he eat,5315 because3754 he eats2068 not of faith:4102 for whatever3956 is not of faith4102 is sin.266
